I recently renewed my account. The charge was supposed to be $465 but I was charge $710 in total. I received a $210 refund finally but it is still $30 overcharged based on my conversation with champion in the resolution department. I’ve been texting with my contacts for over a week now still without a resolution if you can’t get it right to the $465 I want a full refund ! And cancel my renewal. Not amazing.

If there was a negative star rating I would chose that. My tech is great and would highly recommend his service, however, choice home warranty is the absolute worst and we will now be shopping your competitors to find a better solution. I've never seen a company run so badly and charge me a total of 400 dollars just to get a simple hot water heater serviced.

Our Air conditioning went out and the company took an entire month to approve our replacement despite the inspector recommending one from the start. They kept dragging out the process, attempting multiple repairs to our unit and in the meantime the AC actually flooded our basement with condensation. Did I mention it was July? Customer service wasn't helpful, and the contractor they sent to our house said that they are very unreliable and he actually has trouble even billing them for services.

I am completely disappointed and quite perturbed with the level of customer service provided me as a new customer. I am still waiting for a dryer repair nearly 2 mos. later. The vendor is Sears Home Repair. Between both companies, I have only been able to reach a live person to try to resolve the problem ONCE and the automatic call back feature has been unfulfilled. I will be canceling the warranty immediately and would appreciate a human being contact me to explain the reason for such poor customer service.

The Technician was great! Choice Home Warranty, not so much. I was told that someone would come out to service 2 different times and this has been 2 weeks after the claim has been put in. The Te hnician who serviced my dishwasher said he wondered Choice Home Warranty didn't not contract him to repair both, because that was his expertise. He actually had to drive up from VA. Beach to do the one job, even though both tickets were placed at the same time.

Had to elevate my situation to a manager and he said he would make sure that the issues would be resolved, and I would not have to pay a service fee again for the same issue. He assured me he was updating the notes while he put me on hold. As it turns out, I was charged another service fee. I called and spoke with another manager, and she said there were no notes on my case. I am done with this nonsense.

I have 3 times called and put a claim in online for a 3rd service call on my dishwasher. The first time the wrong contractor (electrician not plumber) tried to call new back. The other two times NO ONE contacted me at all. I finally gave up and just bought a new dishwasher. I'm sure thats what they were hoping. I will tell everyone NOT to use this company for warranties. Choice does not cover what they say in their contract. When it does not intend to pay for the repairs, it simply tells you repair is not covered or blame the consumer of misuse. I have friends who have experienced the same.

Filed a claim for a repair on our A/C on July 13th. CHW has sent 2 technicians to do the repair but neither were authorized to work on Carrier units according to them. I have paid 2 service calls fees ($150) plus $250 to a local A/C company to get the A/C working temporarily since our temperatures have consistently been in the high 90’s! The last technician sent by CHW looked at our unit but never returned and would not return calls from me or CHW so the whole process has started over while we are still waiting for service!!!

I picked Choice because I was told it was the best home warranty and since I'm on a fixed income, I could trust that they would help me save if I needed their services. My 1st request was denied, my refrigerator has since quit working & now I have to rent one. With my water heater, the company they chose added almost $600 in extra fees ie: heavy lifting fees , code fees, disposal fees (which I had no opt-out option) That was my extra electricity & medication money. I'm currently not pleased at all with the quality of service I've received.

The reason I gave low marks because choice warranty on my last claim have been most inconsiderate toward my family and me. We have been without a clothe washer for a month or so. We have call multiple times and the only thing they say is “ waiting on tech to give them the serial number”. How hard is it to get a serial number . We tried giving it to them but would not take it. .. my wife is having go to a laundry mat to wash clothing, which is so hard and inconvenient. It will be hard for choice warranty to gain my trust again!!

What I don’t like, the warranty isn’t all you guys try to make it out to be!!!! Then you find people that’s fits your interest best and not the customers!!! I just had a new replacement unit Wednesday and when I got home Thursday night from work, the pipes on the outside leading up to the unit is frozen and I’m right back where I started,,in a hot home!!!! I paid 1,550 just to be back in the whole!!! This sucks!!!! So why have warranty when it only works for the company and not the people

I was not happy with my first service call and left my review with I believe was Trust Pilot. It was a link that was sent to me after that visit. Obviously your company did not see it. I did call after the visit and talked to someone about it and they were not nice, had an attitude problem.

We had our A/C down for 3 weeks in Texas with over 100F every day. At the end Choice finally decided to decline to do anything because, according to them, the failure was not caused by “normal wear and tear”. They say that they are used to see issues like mine after 15 years, but my unit is “only” 9 year old. Therefore the failure is considered “premature” and not covered!

I replaced a range top stove. I paid almost $2,000 for the replacement. I was given an $800 credit for Lowe's. I was told that the $800 was based on what CHW could purchase a range top stove for at wholesale. I asked if I could purchase it at wholesale. I was told no. I was not told in advance that I would not get a check which I needed to help pay for the range top stove I had purchased. It has been almost a year and I still have a $700 plus balance on the credit voucher.

Something has changed at this company in 2023. I use to get great customer service and repairs were done without hassles. Now I get disrespect from customer service and over talking me when I’m trying to explain the problem. A number of customer reps were hard to understand. Repair was denied before they understood what the problem was. I’m thinking of cancelling my Choice Home Warranty . Not happy !

My technician and I provided a plethora of information - some very irrelevant to the AC issue - and we keep being asked more questions to prolong the process. This is NOT a good , honest customer service . We expect to resolve this immediately in order to feel validated as customers who followed your protocols in good faith. Please reimburse us for the unexpected expense caused by your failure to provide us service in a timely manner. That will be the only way for us to provide a positive feedback on your company.

Our AC broke since Saturday, the technician came today and reported the diagnostic to the company and Choice said it’s not covered because it’s not due to regular wear and tear which is not true. 4 days without AC and who knows how much longer we’ll have to wait while we appeal. Would give 0 stars if possible Have a GE dishwasher that has the same problem for a year and a half Choice refuses to replace it I have paid a few service fees for the same problem Parts have been replaced but it’s still loses power whenever it wants to The dishwasher has never been repaired Choice refuses to waive the service fees and also refused a refund for the two years I have left on my contract Definitely not resigning with them

When I purchased this policy I was under the impression that it would work for the property up there. How wrong I was. When I call in a repair sometimes it will get don but mostly not. Still haven't gone out there to pump the tank and check the front bathroom. Then when they said that they couldn't fix the washer they said we will replace it. They offered a minimum amount not nearly enough to replace it. I still haven't received the gift card from Lowes. Whey it that???
