Service is poor . This company do things should be illegal. First of all they require a leak test if ac go out every time out if customer pocket . For example air condition fixed August , kept off for winter . Turn on now not work again . Another fee . Try have contractors patch work but don’t fix . Called in claim on Friday had to wait til Tuesday to get an ac person to come out . Called told it’s generated they can’t change it . My kids and myself suffer . Then the worst is customer service . Wait is extremely long to reach someone . Wen ask for customer relation even agents are rude . Company have them trained on scripts and there very aggressive . Resent contact “Belinda” placed me on hold while asking a question . Told me she “ not repeating herself” ... Take this serious . There rated horrible on bbb. And check Facebook etc . Scamming company . Did everything need to do maintance etc . They just take my money and patch work . When contract is up I am gone . They may be cheaper but there is a reason ... you pay for it in the end ....

I have two houses covered by Choice. I believe that they find a reason to deny coverage of anything that is not super simple and cheap for them. Dishwasher went out....they did not replace (some companies do) because 'part was discontinued.' Of course. That happens and that's why we get warranties. They offered me $169 toward a new one. That wouldn't even pay for the installation cost which I had to pay as well as almost $500 for the cheapest new unit. ( I was insulted...so they said they will send me $300 in about a month. I am not holding my breath. ) Hot water heater went out and they cover $0. New tank/ labor is not covered. You will not get any help with serious repairs with this company. AHS replaced my daughter's Water Heater for a total parts/labor charge of $75. I am going to cancel Choice before I have an air conditioner or other serious problem which they will, of course, deny coverage.

I requested warranty repairs on Freezer, Claim on 3/19/19. I have yet to have a repairman assigned. NOT GOOD! I requested warranty repair on Garage Door, Claim on 3/19/19. Repair was done and settled by 5 p.m. 3/20/19 by an assigned Co. GOOD! I seem to have been forgotten on Claim for freezer. Nothing at all since around noon, 3/20/19. Anyone there?

There are a number of reasons that air conditioning coil/units quit working properly and the majority of time is normal wear and tear. Such was the case with my 10 year old unit when two different technicians had varying opinions of what is causing my unit to malfunction. Both technicians pinpointed that it could be a number of reasons that my coil is going out, and narrowing it down to one or two specific reasons could be nearly impossible, therefore, they gave me their best choices and I submitted them both to Choice Home Warranty. I was denied coverage by my case worker on this claim and offered $300.00 instead to repair my unit. I found this somewhat insulting but they thought it was a windfall in regards to monetary value towards the cost of repairing my unit; something I was not satisfied with. Had I done my homework 2 years ago when I first put faith in Choice Home Warranty to do the right thing, I would have found out that only 85 percent of their customers are satisfied with their services which is misleading based upon the number of "small" claims they pay for in comparison to larger ones. This, of course, is very misleading and almost criminal . I assume they choose to pay those smaller claims based upon the time their customers have been contributing their monies into Choice Home Warranty's bank accounts. I guess I haven't been a good enough customer seeing how I've only been with the program over 2 years. Their denial of claim tells me that my total approximate cost of repair ($1300-$1400) hasn't been fully covered by my "donations" to their accounts and consequently won't be covered until they do. In the meanwhile, they'll just use my money to gain interest in their banks or use my money to repair the appliances of "other" people who have been with them a while longer. When my case worker bragged about "85% of our customers being satisfied with our work", my initial thought was what about the other 15%? What are y'all doing to bridge the gap between those people who steadily put money into Choice Home's bank accounts on a monthly basis? Isn't our money green, too...? I'd like to speak to an upper management representative in regards to my claim, but I was told by the case worker that that isn't going to happen. I'd like to explain to them that I would not have even called Choice Homes for my repairs had not I had to spend 15 thousand dollars to bury my dad who died abruptly in November, something I shared with my initial case worker. I'd like to also cancel my contract without penalty. I would also like to make an adjustment to a Facebook post I sent out to over 4000 of my friends referring Choice Home Warranty to them as a warranty service. At least 80 or more of them trusted me enough to try them. I hope they haven't been disappointed, but if they have, Choice Home will definitely hear from us with a page devoted to our experiences. I hope that I receive a call. You guys have my number (and my money, too...). Mark Anthony Spivey, Sr.

If I could give you 0 stars I would. WARNING TO ALL WHO ARE CONSIDERING THEM...PLEASE READ. Called them because our water heater started leaking. It is 35 years old so..normal wear and tear and wow great water heater! Representative of the Company said since it was the Container they refuse to cover it! Oh and they will keep the $75.00 service call fee. I called back as a potential Customer looking for new insurance. Guy was nice I said I have a concern that my water heater is quite old and would it be covered if the container started to leak. He said and I quote... If they cannot fix the water heater they will replace it. Sooooo I said hmmm I am a current customer and you are refusing to fix it so which one is it? HE HUNG UP ON ME! it was a recorded call I challenge anyone to track the call and see how I was treated! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! To all my military friend and family please pass this along I will also add this to all my facebook groups including 82nd Airborne Division

I find it hard to even give them one star. We’ve had them fir 6-8 years. When I used them the first time it kind of went smoothly. Using them this time has been a nightmare. I was told that my deductible had increased, I wasn’t informed of that. Then after I was finally able to report the problem I was told I had to have a diagnosis and the service man had to call them to see if it was ok to repair it. Thus was after I found a service person, called them and scheduled the call. I was never given a number to call or any form of reference to contact the company for repairs! So I had repairs done, paid for the call sent paperwork in for reimbursement and was denied because service man never called to get an ok!!!! I’ve argued with them, of course people who promised to call back haven’t and I’m out over $300 bucks. So I’m really looking around to change cause this company isn’t any help to me at all!! Believe me I’m telling everyone about them.

I purchased a “Total Plan” coverage from Choice Home Warranty for my condo. On March 6, I made a claim for main water valves not working (not shutting off the water to my unit). It happens all the time in my building due to age and normal wear and tear use. I discovered it when I had another contractor working on a shower issue and he was not able to shut the water off due to failure of the valves. Also, valves started leaking after we tried to turn them on/off several times. Then I filed a claim with Choice and a contractor came out in to inspect it. I also had my building engineer come over at the same time because he has over 30 years’ experience with my building’s infrastructure (there are some plumbing nuances because it’s a 28-story high-rise building). Upon inspection, both of them agreed to do the job together and would coordinate for the following week since the water needs to be shutoff for most of the building and other tenants need a 48-hour notice prior to the repair. However, soon after the contractor left my condo, I was advised by Choice that my claim is denied due to the fact that the repair was not covered by their rules and regulations. They labeled it as a failure due to corrosion not normal wear and tear, which would have been covered. There is some corrosion further down the water pipe, but it has nothing to do with the valve itself. The point is that any copper pipe that has water touching it will have some form of corrosion at some point, but that doesn’t mean that valves fail due to corrosion. This was confirmed in my case by 2 plumbers that know my building very well and have worked on the plumbing system for many years. Both my contractor and my building engineer spoke with Choice and clearly explained that these water valves fail due to normal wear and tear all the time in my building. It was also confirmed by my building engineer as a second opinion from a person that has been working on this plumbing system for 30 years. However, Choice would not have any of the numerous explanations and second opinion. They assigned a case manager that barely returned my calls and would not have most up to date information. All I kept hearing from them is that the claim is closed and there is nothing that can be done. I was stuck in a vicious “he said-she said” cycle between the contractor and Choice, and after a few weeks of back and forth I decided that it was not worth the effort and my time. Nothing was done to even remotely try to remedy the situation. I was planning on purchasing a second policy for my other home, but instead I will never use Choice again – even the contractor that was dealing with my claim on behalf of Choice said that this warranty company is one of the worst and recommended switching to a competitor, which I plan on doing. Stay away and look elsewhere if you are in the market to purchase a home warranty.

I’ve had choice for years, just renewed for both houses, one for six years, the other for 3 1/2. Called about my fridge /freezer on March 13 . Received call from contractor that he would be a little late for me , so he said he would make it his first call. Any he did come on the 14, problem was something about control panel and I could call the company tomorrow to find out what was wrong..well I was told I was emailed, which I didn’t receive, but she did tell me that it wasn’t covered because it hadn’t been maintained, i asked what she meant, how do you maintain a frig. She said she didn’t know . I asked her if she ever maintained hers? Any way I asked to speak to a supervisor, which she said I couldn’t that could put in for an appeal. I just wanted to tell them that the kitchen was just being remodeled ,sheet rock cut, corian counters cut up and removed and cabinets cut down.the kitchen was clean but their could have been some dust from Sheetrock behind it, also the ice maker wasn’t working but I didn’t know that not fixing it meant I wasn’t maintaining it .it did work on and off. Also I didn’t get a receipt and I would like to know who he was .. I still would like to talk to someone.

Stay away from this company. I signed up with them for 3 of my homes. I called for them to come and fix the refrigerator. They sent a company who was not knowledgeable. Then they refuse to send another company. Finally they never fixed the refrigerator. On my other home the washer failed to operate. They sent the same company that couldn’t fix the refrigerator. So, they couldn’t fix the washer either. I had to buy another washer myself. CHW is a scammer just like their subcontractors. Finally, I cancelled in writing the contracts but they refuse to cancel so that they can still bill. I do not recommend this company at all.

This is a joke of a company. Do not buy a warranty from them under any circumstances. They sell you a home warranty but cover nothing. The water heater tank is never covered which is the only part that would ever break down, roof leaks are not covered even when the policy states they are as does the representative you speak too. They like to use the word pre-existing a lot. They have no trouble bothering you relentlessly about renewing and trying to pester you into convincing family and friends to sign up for their awful service even when you have months of service left on your contact. I had to pay a $45 service fee call for someone to come out and say they won't cover the repair. Pure highway robbery.

I transferred from American Home shield to choice warranty in February 2019. My furnace broke down the end of February and they said it was a pre-existing condition. I had to prove my furnace was working when I signed up. First I could have had AHS fix my furnace before I transferred over to them. Why would I wait 23 days without any heat when I could have had the other company fix my furnace. Also I just paid $530 for oil just the week before. When I asked the manager would you pay $530 in oil for a broken furnace, also wouldn't you have the other company fix the furnace if it was broke. They refuse to answer either question because that would prove my furnace was not broke. I sent copies of receipts proving this. I was advised what was wrong with my furnace takes 15 to 20 years to break down. I said maybe and that time what's up February 2019. They just didn't want to pay to get my furnace fixed because it broke down so soon after transferring over to them. Do not buy from this company More

This company will only honor repairing cheap small appliances like replacing a garbage disposal. Big ticket items like water heater and furnace they will not repair and they will use all the exclusions in the agreement to void your claim. My gas water heater leaked and when I filed a claim, they sent a contractor to take a look. This contractor is not a licensed plumber and he reported his findings to Choice home. After that, choice warranty refused to honor my claim because according to the agreement, my water heater has another tank inside. All water heaters are built like that. After sending them an appeal, they agreed to pay $250. Do not purchase their warranty as this company will only cheat you. Also, they send 3rd rate contractors to do the repair works. The contractors that they sent do not have any reviews and no websites. I truly regret signing up for their home warranty.

having most all of my claims denied by this crappy company has been the worst experience I have ever had. they have it in their policy that they will not cover anything with corrosion, everyone knows that you can't clean your water lines that are within the foundation and that copper corrodes, also that copper during the summer and winter expands and shrinks this causes normal fair wear and tear well folks they don't cover that either. the people that they have read everything out of the manual and have no idea what is going on when it comes to technical problems all they know is how to make sure the customer is cheated out of their money and to make you pay for your repairs even though you have paid them to repair things in your home. do not use this company they take your money and leave you with all the repair bills. their people that talk to you when confronted with the issues just tell you that they understand and sorry you feel that way and will not help to resolve or let you talk to people in charge, also your being recorded but you can't listen to your conversations against company policy when trying to prove them wrong. advertising is way different than reality they do everything to get out of paying for repairs DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF IT. No house can be kept up to the way that they say it needs to be, mechanically things wear out copper corrodes they don't cover those things. and if you do cancel early they make you pay for the items they have repaired of replaced so you do not get money back. this company is a bunch of crooks.

I purchased CHW after we bought our house. A couple of months later the A/C wasn't cooling properly. I submitted a claim online and was contacted quickly and a service technician was scheduled to come out in a couple of days. He diagnosed the failure to be in the evaporator coil on the inside air handler. In his report he sent to CHW it clearly stated NO corrosion or rust. clearly stated the unit was clean and serviced and maintained. the failure was do to normal wear and operation. it also stated the same on the invoice he gave us. CHW denied my claim saying that they do not cover prior existing problems. The only way the evaporator fails is due to corrosion or rust. The technician clearly stated it had no corrosion or rust. CHW did not trust or believe the Technician. Refused to listen to me, would not look at the copies I provided them from the repair guy, offered to send my $250 dollars to help with the repair. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I will be contacting my legal department on the Base I'm stationed at. Very disappointed

This company provided a horrible experience. It started with them contracting with an elderly gentleman who was not physically fit to maneuver in and out of the attic to check the AC. I have nothing against seniors, I am a senior. But when Choice was informed that the contractor did not check the thermostat or the unit in his feeble attempt to diagnose the problem, they were indifferent. The contractor claimed to put coolant in the unit but even that was questionable. Choice did not take responsibility for this failure and relied on the fine print to weasel out of servicing the unit. Don't waste your money with CHW!

Terrible company and dishonest technician This company and their workers are not honest, and they don’t have communication at all. Friday my heater broke down and l call the choice home warranty to schedule a claim. They didn’t answer the phone, then Saturday l called again, finally, they answer the phone and they submitted a claim for my broken heater. The technician showed up the next day and he said, “l don’t have the broken piece (hot surface ignitor), tomorrow l will back at 9:00 am”. I paid his service fee and he has gone. Monday l got permission from my job and l waited for him from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and he never showed up again. I got his phone number and called him more than 20 times. He didn’t answer the phone call, voice message or text messages. Since last two days, I’m calling the choice home warranty” to reach him or send another person to fix the heater. But even they are not able to communicate with their technicians. Today, l called the choice home warranty to talk with a supervisor (manager), l waited 28 minutes on the phone to talk to someone. But he didn’t offer any solution to my case. The only thing that he said, “I’m sorry for the situation”. Being sorry doesn’t bring back my kid’s health or the time that l waste with them. He was calling himself a manager but even he couldn’t manage a technician. The only thing that he said,” they will call you tomorrow to schedule an appointment”. It’s the worst company ever l have seen. During these cold days with my 2 kids, l stayed in a hotel for 2 nights. They got sick and couldn’t go to school. Why? Because l made a contract and believed the society of dishonest people association. The broken piece was only $16 but it cost me hundreds of dollars and a waste of time. Please don’t waste your time and trust in such a company.

DO NOT waste your money with this firm...it is a total fraud. I was in Florida,my son visited my home in Staten Island and informed me that the heat was not working...we notified Choice and they sent one of their contractors to the house and he made the repair and demanded $1007 over the phone ...which I paid him by credit card. When I contacted Choice ,I received a two hour run around..no one called me back. Today,I received an e mail stating that the repair man( that they sent) was not authorized to make the repair...therefore ,I will not receive a single penny???? I'm filing a complaint with the NYS Attorney Generals office and filing a Small Claims Court claim as soon as I get back to Staten Island. TOM SCOTTO PS: Too bad I can give them a minus 5 stars.

Awful experience. I switched from another home warranty company because of the reviews and pricing that Choice Warranty offered, But the experience so far has been a complete disappointment. I initially was schedule for a Tuesday afternoon and the technician called me that mid morning that cancel because he said he was not going to be able to make it. He then scheduled me for a Wednesday between 7am and 11am. The technician arrived at 1140am. On his way to my house, he indicated that he only accepted cash at the moment. That same night after the technician left, the water heater stopped working. I tried to reached the technician without any luck and I ended up calling choice warranty. They placed an order to the same technician and today is Friday and I am still without hot water. Awful experience.

Somehow Choice Home Warranty did not contact the plumbing company to come to my home even though we got a phone message and email from Choice Home Warranty giving us the time frame of between 11 - 3:00 the following day. I also lined up another company that could be at my home no later than noon but canceled them since we heard from you a contractor was scheduled. 3:30 came and we had not yet heard from the plumbing company so I called them. They had never gotten the email from you but put us on the schedule for the last call of the day. The plumber couldn't get to us till around 7PM that night! An entire day wasted around on our part waiting to be here for them to get here...not their fault but yours!!! It took him several hours to fix the issue so didn't leave till around or after 9PM. Very poor service from Choice Home Warranty to cause this.

I can't understand how this company is stays in business. We have been thinking that we had a good home warranty company for at least 6 months and the first time we have a claim they deny it. Our hot water heater started leaking so we called Choice. They quickly sent someone out to diagnose the problem and sure enough hot water heater had a leak just like I told the customer service representative that took my call. The technician called choice to get an approval to replace leaking hot water heater. He was on hold for 45 minutes and finally told us he had to leave because he still had 4 more calls to get to today. About 30 minutes later the technician called and told me that he had just talked to Choice and they would be calling me with their decision. Nobody ever called they emailed me instead. The email was very long contained a bunch of legal jargon and bs. From what I understand they don't cover hot water heaters that fail due to a leak. I never heard of a hot water heater failing because of anything other than a leak. I have heard now from people that I trust and would know that Choice denies coverage on many items due to the reasons that normally cause the item to fail. In other words "good luck getting them to ever replace anything"! I really believe that they are the biggest rip off company I have seen or heard of.

Both claims made in 9 months were originally declined. You have to speak to a Manager to see if they will "make an exception" then you have to wait 30 days for the claim check...I repeat 30 days! The plumbing issue was over a thousand dollars and their plumbing maximum was only $500. Then upon cancellation of their service agreement they are keeping over $200 of the $1,400 3 year contract. I negotiated a discount and their argument is that the pro rated refund amount was based on their full amount of their contract without discounts! I suggest you read their "fine print" before moving forward with Choice. I don't know how they even remain in business!!!!

Great outfit if you need a socket replaced, switch changed out, leaky faucet fixed.....appliances, not so much. They have built into your agreement each most likely causes of failure as not covered. Example, all visible advertisement says water heaters covered. However leakage (the most common water heater failure) and damage to the burner from such leakage is NOT COVERED......READ THE AGREEMENT BRFORE INVESTING...ADVERTISING VERY MISLEADING........

Customers be aware, Choice Home Warranty is a complete FRAUD! After reviewing online for a reputable company to cover my home, I called Choice. The representative sold me a three year coverage with $45 deductible. After 32 days into the contract, my furnace went out. Choice contacted THEIR OWN PREFERRED HVAC company to come over and look at it. The technician who was very knowledgeable, informed me that the furnace is not repairable and Choice will replace it. After 2 days of waiting and calling CHW, finally I received a deny email that the furnace has not been maintained properly???!!! I could not believe my eyes reading this ridiculous reasoning behind denying my claim. I called them 5-7 times in 11 days (keep in mind, it's December in Ohio and the temperature is well below zero) without being able to resolve this. The company would not honor their contractual agreement and I finally was forced to call a HVAC company to come over to replace my furnace. I also called my attorney to file a lawsuit against the company for denying my claim and in addition contacted BBB in NJ and attorney General in NJ as well to inform them that this company won't honor the terms they set forth. The bottom line is, save yourself hassle and frustration and find a REAL warranty company who doesn't pay George Foreman to advertise for them in order for the company owners take home millions while your children freeze to death. I will have my day in court very soon and trust me Choice WILL PAY for their GREED.

I filed a claim for washing machine that stopped working and technician came out and reported that it needed to be replaced. We settled for the cost of replacement and they said we would have the check within 30 days. Well, they said that they sent the check January 2, 2019. We have not received the check and they have said to check with the Post Office, they have said to re-issue a new check there would be a $30.00 processing fee that would be deducted from the check or we could wait 90 days to see if the check arrives and then they could re-issue another check without the fee. Hmmm, wait 90 days to see if check arrives without paying the $30.00???? I feel that this company is not honorable. I am a senior citizen and Army Vet. and this is not how you honor your customers.

I got this program when I first got the house. They say they cover a whole array of things in the house, but when you need it, they take the claim with no issues, but this program covers mostly the assessments of the issues which we pay dile anyways with the call fee.

submitted a claim on 1/16. Choice had to find a contractor to address my issue. I told them that I had to be out of town and would have to my Dad sit at the house for the plumber. The plumber called and said they would be at my house second stop. They didn't get there until after 5:00 that night and was told that they had emergencies come up. I asked why mine wasn't an emergency since I had water leaking in my house. They replaced two water lines they said were leaking. I told them I didn't think that was the problem because there wasn't water coming from the water lines it was coming from the floor. Plumber said yep you have a drain problem and left. I called Choice and Choice said that they denied the Claim because of rust but this one time they would go ahead and pay for it. I said that's fine but the problem isn't fixed. The agent said ok I'll send you the money and you can find someone to fix the problem. I then asked what about the money owed to the plumber who came out. He said if they didn't fix the problem I wouldn't pay them. I eventually got assigned a claim manager who said that we would need to do a recall and get the original problem fixed. Plumber called back and said you'll be our second stop. Waited until almost 6 o'clock before they got there. They had emergencies come up. Water still leaking. This was a week after the original claim. They "fixed" the problem and left. Next day the sink backed up and then started leaking from one of their connections. Called them back out. We'll get there as soon as we can. 6 o'clock. Tightened all the connections and said that should do it. Next morning while washing dishes I hear water dripping. Call the plumber and was told well I don't understand what is going on we tightened everything and we are booked up for the day. I called in another plumbing company that said I would have issues from now own because the job wasn't done right unless everything was removed and done right. I called Choice, because the plumber said that Choice wasn't going to pay to fix the leak, to see if we could figure something out. I said that these are the people that you sent to my home to do the work. Choice said you could have picked someone else. I said no you told me I would have to do a recall so that the plumbers could address the original claim. Choice said yes we did. I said now I'm going to have to pay out of my pocket to get the problem fixed and pay the plumbers that you sent to my house and didn't fix the problem. Choice said that it is not their responsibility to pay for negligence due to contractors. It has been two weeks. I still can't use my kitchen sink because it still leaks. I'm having to pay to get it fixed. Choice is sending me a check for $226 for the original work that didn't need to be done. I said I want to cancel my warranty because if these are the kind of contractors you use it's a waste of my money. Choice said if I cancel they won't send me to $226 check. I originally chose Choice because the reviews said that they where the best. They aren't I've had better luck from American Home Shield. I guess it's like everyone says, Home warranties are a waste of money

I have not had a good claim experience with Choice. They could not repair my oven and they refused to provide funds to replace a comparable oven. They made an offer based on a single wall oven and when I questioned the offer because I have a single convection oven they refused to change the offer. They even acknowledged that the offer was below what they could find a replacement for but still refused to change. Don't be fooled, there is no repair or funds to replace. They play with the wording of the contract and there is no recourse to go to anyone to change the offer of the claims handler.

When I purchased a three year extended warranty from Choice Home Warranty, I thought I was buying some piece of mind. But no, they find every loophole to deny a claim. When the evaporator coil in the attic on my AC unit failed a couple of years ago, they denied the claim stating that if it is under a manufacturer’s warranty then they will not cover it. Ok, on some level I understand it, but the manufacturer only covers the part. Since the manufacturer covered the compressor, it should have caused CHW less to repair it. However, they will use every loophole to deny a claim. Another gripe I have is their heavy handed marketing to renew policies. After three years without paying a single claim, they have called me at least 20 times asking me to renew the policy. I politely told them that I was not interested and asked them to please stop calling me. Sadly, on the 20th time, I was not very polite about it! When they are so aggressive about trying to sell policies, home owners should be cautious and look at other companies.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY! I put a claim in on the Jan 3, 2019 for my glass stovetop. The first assigned company never showed up, the second came out and then myself nor Choice could reach them, the third just called to get some info from me. The parts I was told came in on the 21st still no call about install. I have called their solution and authorization numbers numberous times, don't know why when they can't solve or authorize anything they just keep talking in circles. I even sent a certified letter to the CEO about someone that sent to repair my refrigerator, NO REPLY. They sent a guy out with only a screwdriver. Kept asking if I had tools he could use. Instrad of unclipping the old part he cut the two wires on the old part, cut the wires on the new part, was going to rwist them together and put plastic tape on something that gets cold, damp and wet. I told him to get the _ _ _ out of my house and I fixed it. If I could give this company a -5 star rati g that would be to good. STAY AWAY, IF NOT YOU'LL BE SORRY!

we got a response from you guys quick, but the technician was as helpful. He came for 5 minutes and didn't really go into details about what's wrong with the machine and took the check for $45 with no receipt. He said he will text it to me and also will call us back on the part and none of that happened.

As a first time home owner I wanted a security blanket for my large investment. So I picked Choice Home warranty. HUGE MISTAKE! I made a claim on my outside heating unit, it wasn't pushing warm air into my home. The AC/Heating technician came out and checked the unit out. After his inspection of the unit his conclusion was holes in the heat exchanger. The technician felt confident that everything else was in good working condition and the only problem was the heat exchanger. so the technician submitted his findings to Choice Home warranty for repairs. A few hours later I was notified by email from Choice home warranty that my claim was denied! I was shocked! How could this be!?! Here's what the Choice Home Warranty Team. "It has been determined there is a cracked and/or compromised heat exchanger. Heat exchangers are made of materials designed to withstand the transfer of heat through the chambers and cabinet of the furnace and the standard expansion and contraction that is associated with this process. Carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium and various alloys are all incorporated into the structure, with the outer shell being steel or stainless steel. Water leaks on the system, weather from a drain line that is plugged or a humidifier that isn't seated properly, will cause a corrosive build up on the outer shell and rust which creates premature cracking". "Please refer to your terms and conditions section F number1; we are not responsible for malfunction or improper operation due to rust or corrosion of all systems and appliances." This is absolutely crazy! Everyone knows that heat exchangers burning natural gas , a natural byproduct of that process is moisture. Moisture which causes rust inside the heat exchanger and rusts from the inside out. No way to avoid it! I feel that choice home warranty is being deceitful in stating that air-conditioning, furnaces and appliances will be repaired. I following up with the case manager & she laughed at me when I told her that the home warranty was bogus and the company was taking money from clients that trust the warranty is valid, when in fact the company never intends on fixing or re[placing any broken appliance. My wife and I paid this warranty 6 years in advanced (fully paid)and are really regretting it. This warranty is very limited on what they cover. Also had a tech come over to diagnose my washer and apparently CHW can not send you a copy of the diagnosis and the Tech is not responsive. (45 dollars wasted). The only reason I give 2 stars is the customer service. They are not the nicest, but explained everything so I can understand thoroughly which I appreciate.
