They never answer the phones all communicating is via email through the message center. I submitted a claim they denied it without contacting me for an explanation. Stating they do not cover water damage. Had they contacted me the would have learned it was not water damage from my appliance it was the pump needing to be replace. I out of pocket had it replaced without choice help. Terrible customer service.

Choice Home Warranty is a complete Fraud. I will definitely express my personal experience with the wide range of multimedia in the coming days. George F will also be contacted to let him know that Choice Home Warranty does not support the troops and that they take advantage of hard working people. They come up with any excuse NOT to cover legitimate claims that their clients make. This is the third time I have been refused coverage with them. I had and still have a 3 year contract that isn’t even worth the digit contact it is written on. Shame on you Choice Home Warranty and shame on those who work for you, who knowingly miss direct and lie to your customers.

I am still uncertain about continuing w/ Choice based on my very first experience w/ the technician who came to fix a problem and did not return to complete the job. The service technician from Solutions Maintenance did the job in a very efficient manner. However, I received no notice that he was coming. I still am disappointed about the fact that when I wanted to discontinue w/ the company --I was told that I would have to pay over $300 --and I was initially told that there would be no cancellation fee if I decided to cancel. Little trust in the company.

My experience with choice home warranty has been very poor. They want to replace rather than repair anything. When they do replace, it IS NOT with the same product that you have. They give you a settlement that is dated at contractors base cost. Which means they gave me $600 for a convection oven, cannot touch a new one for $1200. And you are locked into an E gift card from lowes. No shopping around. We had our faucet replaced. They would have given us $45 for a new one, the one we had was $200 new. The contractor worked with me to get a close comparison put back in. The contractor that came out was awesome.

Choice has demonstrated a totla disregard for customer service and assistance. This overall process has been nothing less than horrible. 3 technicians were to be deployed for this repair. 1st technician states he was never notified of the claim. 2nd technician, after repeated calls of he is in route, later was a "no show". 3rd technician whom primary business is home cleaning, determined unit would need a new motor, but indicated he could not do the work as it was unlikely Choice would not cover. Throughout this please now I took off from work 3 separate days, paid $65.00 with NO resolution to the issue!! When calling Choice for support, after minimum waits on the phone of upwards of 1 hour, the individuals assisting simply send me to different departments and on one occasion simply hung up. If this is the number one home warranty organization for the U. S., the industry is in trouble. No support, no courtesy, no care and though I paid full price for the service I have received nothing in return. I have had other warranty services in the past, but with the new purchase of this home the internet indicated Choice was the best. It is obvious to me this is just a ploy as many businesses today pay to show themselves as number one. I would never, never recommend Choice to anyone. A total disappointment. And absolutely no level of professionalism despite my numerous call and request to speak to a supervisor or manager and yet no response back to date. Again, disappointing from a career U. S. Marine of 28 years of service, not that that matters!

Although the technician was adequate, it takes too long for the process of the first evaluation, then the CHW approval, then scheduling the actual repair to be completed. More than two weeks without a working toilet is unacceptable.

Filed a claim for air conditioner not working. The first three companies all canceled their appointments, The fourth a good company checked the system and discovered no freon in system. Chris P with Eco Mech sent an email to claims dept explaining the system is 25 years old with no parts availability, The claims dept instructed Mr. Parker to find the leak with pictures. The nitergen to find leak $150.00. If repaired the cost of R22 refringent full load 33# is $1,450.00. I discussed with claims and claims dept told me they would not pay for the two items. I have no air and looks like Choice Home Warranty does not care. and do not intend to help repair or replace the unit.

I have submitted two claims - the first, a plumbing problem that cost me $6000 - was denied. The second, a refrigerator problem that cost me $180, ended up being reimbursed $25; but, I got a text saying they didn't recognize the claim number and closed the claim. I will never recommend this company to anyone. When I first filed the frig claim, the response came back that someone would be sent in TEN days. It's a refrigerator! I feel I have been completely scammed by this company. I have never been treated well on the phone by agents from Choice.
The service I received for the refrigerator repair was wonderful, but did not come through Choice - I foolishly chose the reimburse option, which is obviously another of your scams.

Do not buy a Choice Home warranty!!!
The company takes your information and understand the age of your house and average age of your appliance and mechanical items and then uses this to not pay any claims:
It has been determined the air conditioner has a damaged compressor. Under normal wear and tear conditions this failure takes time to occur and cannot develop within commencement of the policy.
Please refer to your terms and conditions section A number 2; all systems must be in proper working order on the effective date of this home warranty agreement. Known or unknown pre-existing conditions are not covered.
I would not recommend Choice home warranty to any one, they are being sued or have sued in several states and really just exist to take your premiums and then not do anything.

The technician is great but the reimbursement was horrible. Yes, I got a credit towards a dishwasher but it wasn’t enough money to replace it. The cheapest dishwasher at Lowes is around $400 and they only gave me $260 minus my $85 co pay…leaves me with $185 for a dishwasher. Not good, n I know the dishwasher brand new was $600.

I should report choice home warranty to my state's attorney general. Had to buy a new air conditioner because they can't find a competent tech that can fix it. Got scammed by one of their many havoc techs. He double dipped me and choice home warranty. When I bought the warranty the salesperson said they cover saltwater pools and when I needed a part replaced they claim they don't warranty salt water pools. I have never just paid a $65 call fee. I pay the $65 fee plus 90% of all repairs because they don't cover anything. Most, not all the technicians they send to my house do not have websites or reviews. One technician told me they never even asked for his credentials. Choice home warranty has been nothing but a nightmare. Don't even think about getting a refund. They'll charge you just to give you a refund. Also, hire an attorney to read their small print because they do not cover anything. Please shop around for another company!!! I say these things because it is truth. They did not fix my air conditioner, I ended up spending a few thousand dollars to have repairs done after my $65 call fee and denied a claim to have a leak test done on my air conditioner and just let the tech put a Band-Aid on the problem which was just add freon, they did not fix my washing machine instead they're going to give me a Lowe's gift certificate for market value of my washing machine, and they did not pay to replace a part ony swimming pool when I specifically asked if they covered the part. So, I paid the $65 call fee and the $200 for the replacement and labor for the part. Choice home warranty has cost me more than if I would have hired a competent and licensed technician for all of my repairs. It would not surprise me if choice home warranty charged me to for this review that I was invited to complete.

First fay plumber came out and looked at it said there was a leak
day 2 the plumber cut a hole in my wall found a leak had to wait for approval currently cannot use the upstairs sink and I am looking at a hole in the wall of my newly renovated house. I wonder when it will all be dome and what about the hole in my wall.

Horrible. Water heater stopped heating water last Saturday. We called for service. Monday morning the water heater started leaking. Finally had a "plumber" show up late Monday afternoon. He had an assistant that spent his time on his cell phone. The "plumber" said we had a leak, but never checked the heating element.
Now Choice says there was a leak only, that to collect on a claim it needed to be mechanical. How much more mechanical than a heating element that doesn't heat. I've been 6 days without hot water and no help. Choice Home Warranty is a scam and I plan on proving them wrong in their supposed diagnosis. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

I like the way when an issue comes up, the request is assigned quickly. However, it's like pulling hens teeth for the claim to be approved for one reason or another. The homeowners are not experts and most are honestly submitting a claim. To have it rejected is a slap in the face when you are consistent with your premium payments and you have been a loyal customer for years.

I paid my premium and went 10 months before needing to make a claim. My A/C is not cooling. I filed a claim on Monday and CHW sent a guy out to look at it on Wednesday morning. He said I needed freon but needed CHO’s authorization to do the work. He said someone would be in touch with me later that day or the next day. That was over 48 hours ago and I have heard nothing. Adding freon is about the least expensive thing an A/C can possibly need and they can't even do that without making a federal case out of it. And to make matters worse, no one comes to do the work and no one calls me to explain why or when they might come. When I went onto their website to make the claim, I was immediately asked if I wanted to renew. I clicked yes (because I did not yet know how difficult it was going to be to get my A/C serviced). To make matters worse, CHO went ahead and drafted $540 from my account even though my current policy doesn't expire for over two months! Needless to say, I will be looking for another home warranty company and requesting a refund of next year’s premium.

I have 2 claims in. The first one is from February 12th and Im still waiting for my ceiling fan to be repaired. Shaw was out yesterday and ordered parts to fix it. At least we are making progress here. On the other claim, our dryer was making a lot of noise, but still worked. Parts were ordered, arrived, and installed a couple weeks ago. As soon as we used the dryer after the repair it shut down and doesn't work at all now. We are now waiting for the repair to be repaired. It worked before the repair, but was just noisy. After the repair, it doesn't work at all. So far Choice Home Warrenty is batting ZERO and to cap it off has really poor customer service.

I have been a member with Choice since 2018. This is the first and only time I have needed to use my plan. My dishwasher broke a month ago, and I had a service technician come out. He determined it needed a new a motor. Choice said it would be more cost efficient for both them and me to get a replacement. They offer me a Lowes gift card for $246. I schedule an appointment with a claim manager which takes 3 weeks to get a 15 minute conversation. She explains that this is the best they can do. I don’t know on what planet you can buy a dishwasher for $250, but it’s not even close. So in conclusion, I have wasted thousands paying my yearly premium for nothing, my dishwasher has been broke for over a month now, and I still have to come out of pocket about $400 to replace what I already have. I will be cancelling my policy effective immediately and will warn friends and family about this scam of a company.

You sent someone who was filthy as he just crawled out from someone's basement crawlspace...WTF really. Oh and to make the situation worse he doesn't speak because he has a hole in his neck..Unfortunally i don't know sign language.

had CHW over 1.5 years. My washer started leaking & after 5 times out to repair it and multiple times of paying the 65.00 repair fee, (w/ monthly fees, repair fee, could have bought new washer.) also had dishwasher repair, lost part twice, & when it came was wrong part, Then would not replace dishwasher stated part not covered after Senior tech with over 25 years exp ordered it, and said it was a functional part, so I cancelled my policy thinking my washer was finally fixed after 5 different parts, then 40 days pass and washer leaked, called back, told had to get new policy, wait 30 days to file claim, filed claim then denied it for existing issue (which they never fixed in year half of having them but now deny my claim.) If i lied and said it just started leaking they would send out a guy who then would guess again and I would be paying them to not replace it but put a bandaide on it guessing what it might be and not know they did all of that from my past policy so I cancelled my policy again and said I would write a review so everyone knows how they operate, Also, my esclated claim took 2 weeks, and I called my assigned person which stated you dont have to wait in the queue and for faster service call her, I called 5 times and left message which states it will be answered in the order she receives calls, Well Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, left messages, (must have many claims to call cuz she certainly never attempted to call or answer my emails prior to my 2 wk apt scheduled, (so much for faster service and avoiding a que to not wait.) On my call it was another person who called and not the person assigned who did nothing to help, just said unfortantley because it was pre-existing my claim cant be filed, even though their company was the ones I had the pre existing claims with. UNBELIEVABLE. IF this is how you want to waste your money then by all means pay them for horrible warranty coverage. I am upset and sorry i wasted my valuable time and money to not have my washer fixed or replaced by them at all for almost 2 years of having the and signing back up as told by rep to get my washer covered to then not have it covered again. I had to select a rating so it would be a 0 start if i didnt have to select one.

First time filing a claim. Had a toilet that had a small leak due to cracks in the base of the toilet, due to cracks in the water container, due to a defective wax ring seal and due to a leaking shut-off valve. In the contract it states under 13. Plumbing: Covered - Leaks and breaks of water, drain, gas, waste or vent lines - TOILETS AND RELATED MECHANISMS, TOILET WAX RINGS SEALS. Called in for authorization, received a claim number. REJECTED. A day later I had a total failure resulting in literally THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in water damage that could have been prevented if Choice had honored my policy and allowed me to replace the defective parts.

The best part of Choice is their technology platform, making claims and their sales people. The actual claim itself is complicated.
Some of their vendors are less than mediocre and some are exceptional. Some try to take choice clients away because they are disappointed with the way Choice pays their vendors. Also, Choice likes to decline claims, minimize the amount they payout and even validate the lower reimbursement of the broken system. Your are required to battle them, if you don’t, you lose out. however, always resolve things but not to the value of the system. You pay one way or the other. This is my first use of Choice Home Warranty and it was fairly smooth after I figured out how to use it. After signing up I received no information from CHW. It was likethey disappeared after receiving my momey, like they didn't want me to know how to contact them.

For home appliances, Choice Home Warranty has worked ok for me. Rarely is the service the next day or two, but has been resolved within a reasonable timeframe and no surprises.
However, for major home items such as water heater, HVAC, etc I have low confidence in CHW. A simple water heater repair took over a month to get resolved and then only because I did my own contractor and filled all of the forms out myself. At first they assigned a contractor with extremely poor reviews so asked it to be re-assigned. After a solid week of Zero updates, called in and they got someone assigned the next day. That contractor after over another week still never showed up or answered messages. I again contacted CHW and all they did was put it back in the queue and of course after over a week with ZERO updates, no one was assigned.
Overall I have called in way too many times, spent my own money to limp along for over a month which could not be recovered, and then still had to do everything myself to submit reimbursement for what ended up being only twice the service charge.

Amazing what Choice comes up with. First the garage door claim. Garage door wouldn't open, we tried manual, and wouldn't budge. My wife had work, and I had a doc appt, it needed to be fixed. From a month ago with your agent who told me Choice takes 48 hours on getting someone here to unplug our ugly stinky plugged up toilet... I called our original door installer. I then spoke to agent Regene claiming the door. She said I had to put in a claim, if NO response within 9 hours, I could submit for reimbursement. 10 hours later, that night I called Choice, that agent said I needed to call during business hours the NEXT day. Meantime next morning at 716am I received text and email from Windsor Doors wanting to schedule me for SATURDAY FOUR (4) DAYS LATER! That was yesterday, Dec 7. I had other running around to do before I got to call Choice in the afternoon, and got shuffled over to Quincy in "Claims and Reimbursements". He took my sad story, researched, and came back with "Regene never put anything in the log about reimbursement, so it has to be denied"!! He said there's an avenue to have this happen, Regene should have posted it, sent me an email detailing the process and didn't do ANYTHING except give me that 9 hour window. So his hands were tied. I told him I'd send in a complaint. Meantime the only thing that MAY happen would be Regene would get a talkin' to. I then called Windsor (no answer of course, so left a voicemail), I text a response to THEIR text, which they said was acceptable, to CANCEL a visit. To my surprise this morning???? Choice sends me an email stating Windsor WILL BE OUT TODAY!! Not only that but somehow Choice decided I NEEDED A PLUMBER TOO because I received another email that a plumber is due to arrive today!!! I NEVER PUT IN A PLUMBING CLAIM!! I called AGAIN, spoke to "Shaira", supposedly she cancelled both arrivals. We'll see. So, between this fiasco of confusing information I am NOT responsible for and previous claims I/we are having a hard time hearing "and thank you Mr. Evans for being a valued customer of Choice". Two months waiting for a new ice maker, 48 hours for response (Quincy said it should 24 max for any response), me now stuck with no reimbursement due to Choice agent's lack of knowledge........it's really accumulating. Let me add that when you've asked for reviews previously and I've spent the time? NO RESPONSE from you

I have been with Choice for 5 years. Simple repairs are fine. You better hope replacement is not necessary though because they do NOT replace items like they claim. They offer low settlements which do not come anywhere close to replacement cost. No one would even call me back to discuss the ridiculous offer that was presented. I tried to reach someone for a week. When I finally did speak to a live person they told me their decision was final and I no choice but to accept it or receive nothing. I was not allowed to speak with anyone else. And that I would receive the “buy out” via a Lowe’s GC in 30 days! I’m disappointed that Choice choice to treat me this way. I would not recommend them.

My experience with Choice Warranty has been less than stellar. I am disappointed with Choice Warranty. They had excellent service and took care of their customers in the past. For this reason, we signed up with them for our new home. However, since signing the Choice warranty contract they have not covered any maintenance. They have had issues finding service workers to respond to our needs. I have been utterly disappointed with the service and accountability for the coverage of broken items. Choice Warranty does not cover essential items as suggested in their sales pitch. Such as the water heater reservoir, which is one the most important parts, along with heating elements and some vacuums. Guess what? They do not cover any of those items, only components and circulating pumps.
In all, they will never be responsible for replacing any major items because they only cover fixable issues. They do not cover any part of a system that would require replacement if broken. Please read your contracts and be leary of what they will do for you or you will be left broken and disgusted.
