I have not had a refrigerator since December 19, 2022. The first company that was sent out sent a young boy who did nothing. Finally they sent Sears out. By then, it was determined that the refrigerator could not be fixed. I am still waiting for the money to get al new one.

DID NOT COVER MY PROBLEM It was a pressure valve and so I had to pay out of pocket. I had no water in my home. Was not a Happy camper. We are on a fixed income so that really hurt. If we did not fix. The pressure could build up and Water heater could explode! then we would have a bigger problem.

The website states the call center is available 24/7, this is inaccurate, "Our call center is also available 24/7/365." Upon attempting to contact CHW after business hours, there is an outgoing message detailing limited hours. Also, my home is need of a water heater replacement due to a leak and it's 23 years old. They market to have you scheduled with a technician within 4 hours and the service call within 24 to 48 hours. I entered the claim online and the following day I received emails stating they were sorry but they're having difficulty locating a technician in network and to consider the reimbursement option. I opted the reimbursement and CHW only wanted to reimburse an amount that would cover a water heater. Labor and fees to ensure the parts are up to code based on our state would not be covered.

Takes too long to get a technician out to diagnose the problem. It is easy for the technician to claim the problem was caused by misuse rather than normal wear and tear. If this is the case, they collect the deductible and move on. The customer then is out the deductible and still has to replace the appliance or get it repaired after being out the deductible amount.

I had paid for 6 years warranty. When I needed them the first time it took 2 days for them to respond and another 5 days for an appointment. I ccanceled the appointment for both services requested (garbage disposal and refrigerater. I then called to end my contract and get refunded for the portion of the contract not used. I was informed by the rep I could only get back $1450.00 out of $2100. He informed me that was the max they could refund and the remainder $650 would cover 14 months or warranty.

I have been without AC in my home for almost a month now because this company keeps declining repairs and when you call them they give you the run around and tell you they will have someone else call you 4 days later due to there busy schedule which never happens. The technican that looked at my unit said the expansion valve is bad which lead to my coil freezing up causing a restriction in the duct work. No where did the techican say it was a restriction in expansion valve. Choice home said they declined due to dirt in the ac lone that restricted the expansion valve and that's not normal wear so not covered. Then they sent that to the landlord which is out of the country after I told them she's out of the country and they need to contact me. My landlord has made it clear to them that I am authorized on this account. Still trying to get them to get my unit repaired within the policy and they refuse and delay. Oh and I have told them I have an 82 year old in the house that this needs repaired asap.

I kept getting the run around about getting my claim/parts for my heating system approved! Didn't have compassion for the severity of my issue NOR for the cold, freeze front that was coming into my city! No regards for urgency or importance after I disclosed my son's health problem! Everyone has gotten their money (CHW and the servicing company) BUT MY ISSUE IS STILL NOT FIXED!!! MY CHILD AND I HAD TO LAYER AND BUNDLE UP JUST TO STAY WARM IN THOSE BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES! (WHO DOES THAT TO A CHILD WITH ASTHMA?!!)

When we purchased our home, the seller offered to pay for one year of a Home Warranty of our choice. Since many of the appliances were older, we felt it was a good investment, so we renewed after the first year. It was difficult for Choice Home Warranty to find service people. And if we found our own, they didn't like waiting for approval of their diagnosis before doing work. There were several times we had to dispute a coverage decision which led to time-consuming phone conversations - we even had to play middle-man between CHW and our fridge owners re: diagnosis and coverage - CHW insisted we get a letter from the fridge company on their letter head which the fridge company insisted they couldn't do. We ended up filing with BBB and won. We got almost all our appliances replaced in last 3 years: washer, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and furnace. From here out, it is more time and cost effective for us to put aside savings and work directly with vendors vs. the hassle of working with CHW.

When I signed up for this warranty, I was told that everything would be covered and life is just going to be great. Life has been anything but great with these folks. It takes them over a month sometime to get a service person to your house. Their customer service is sorely lacking. It is really just a matter of deception in lies. When you buy the warranty on the telephone, you connected to someone in the United States and everything feels good but then when you have a claim you’re relegated to some overseas call-center. I will never do business with this company again, and I will dissuade anyone that I know from doing business with them as well.

First year I was with home choice warranty I put in three claims one was for a block, drain the other dealt with an oven problem. Both of those problems were taken care of and the people. Who service them were good the third problem. My head was with a water heater. I looked up the company that was coming and they had a one star rating and not one good recommendation. I called Choice HWho service them we’re good the third problem. My head was with a water heater. I looked up the company that was coming and they had a one star rating and not one good recommendation. I called Choice Home warranty and asked if I could have a different. Company they said no so the company they sent came out they charge me $100 to take the old water heater out the $65 co-pay and $$350 for a valve they had me over a barrel. I needed the hot water heater so in all it cost me $515 to get my water heater in. I was looking for another company and I got a call from Choice Home warranty and I renewed my contract I used them again. I had a problem with my refrigerator with the icemaker. Everything was taken care of the technician and everything was covered for my co-pay as it was supposed to be then I called because I had a hose bib in the garage go on me and one on the outside Spicket , they told me they would only cover the two in the garage at the outside, Spicket was not covered because it was outside of the house. Anyone who lives in a Northern community knows that a hose bib is part of having a. A Spicket that is attached to the foundation of the house has to have a hose bib or else it will freeze and you will have a pipe that is split or broken in the contract under plumbing. It specifically says hose bib. They denied my claim because they said that the contract says it does not cover anything outside the house. Well this is attached to the house. Why would you have a hose bib inside your house? You only use them for outside or in the garage and my claim was denied for the hose bib that is attached to the Spicket. That is attached to my foundation outside.

Customer for 10 years. Early claims were handled quickly. No claims the last 2 years. Water heater went out. Called in a claim. Took 5 days to get a Technician (family with no hot water. Showers, wash clothes, dishes etc.)to come and tell me it needs to be replaced. Too old to get parts. Choice then says I have to pay $609.00 for non covered cost and then they would order water heater. I asked for the $609.00 to be itemized- they could not do it. I asked to speak with a Manager. They said they cannot transfer calls. I asked for the home office number, they said they did not know it. All Service Reps have the same accent and say the exact same words( they are reading from a card). It is apparent they are offshore and if it not on their card they hang up on you. I asked to take the buy out option but was told no. After 2 weeks of my Family living with no hot water, I canceled Choice went to Home Depot and purchased a hot water heater and the the parts to install for $522.00 . I installed it in 1 hour and we have hot water. I have repeatedly asked to speak with Management, but could not get off the Island or wherever it is. Sick and tired of being lied to and given the run-around. If Management cares or gives a Hoot call me.

My microwave stopped working, so I filed a claim. It took at least a day to hear back about an appointment which could not be scheduled for a week. I’m wondering if I had a real emergency how long it would take a repair person to come out. I can’t leave a complete review because I don’t know the outcome of my claim yet.

If I could give a lower rating I would do so. I waited 3 days before being offered a reimbursement option. My husband is a cancer patient and the toilet backed up, I someone to arrive at least the next day. I immediately contracted a plumber to diagnose and make repairs after waiting one day and reimbursement is a nightmare. I was not aware that I had to have the diagnoses approved before the work was done because I did not receive the option for 3 days. Did I mention that you have to firmly request to speak with the resolution department in order to speak with someone that was not outsourced, who was not rude and could clearly speak or understand English? This company is horrible Buyer Beware!

For some repairs and/or service, they come through but do not count on this company covering any big repairs or replacements. According to their policy, they cover water heaters but unless you look at the fine print, they won't cover the tank - which basically IS the water heater. FYI, my water heater was leaking and was not producing hot water. It was deemed unrepairable by the sub contractor/plumber they sent out. Similar thing happened a few years back with my HVAC unit on my roof. If they can repair it, they will but if it comes down to having to replace a item that's costly, they will turn their backs on you and leave you to dry.

The technician removed the elbow connection to the gas log, so now it sits a bit too close to the outside edge (moved forward 1 or 2 inches). I think he did a good job, however, the wife think there is still a bit of gas leak smell; I can't confirm or deny since I lost my sense of smell when I contracted COVID 6 weeks ago.

Paid a lot of money for the contract and almost every time I called they told me the problem I had was not covered. You really need to read the fine print. My house was new when I bought the contract and I didn't need the services much in the beginning. You also have to pay an upfront service charge for each time someone comes to your home, so nothing is free after you buy in.

Had this company for year. Put a claim in in the 12th month, after renewing for a 2nd year and it was a disaster. Sump pump went out and they dragged their feet to find somebody so after a couple of days I chose the option to find someone myself. Wrong move! 2 companies didn't want to work with Choice and others don't want to deal with warranty companies period. The following week, my ice make went, found out my microwave, and freezer wasn't working. (When it rains, it pours!) I figured this would be easier cause its one technician right? Wrong! Same thing! So because my contract wasn't quite up I wanted a refund for the renewal amount I paid! That's a whole other process. Trying not to honour promises made on the prior contract if I cancel.....and prorate my refund! If I cancelled before the year ended and I haven't filed a claim since, one thing has nothing to do with the other. Basically as long as you don't file claims, they're a great company!

I called Choice on Saturday, but the repair was not scheduled until Wednesday - 5 days later. This was for a leaky water heater. So, for 5 days we had collect the water that would otherwise go on the floor. When the repair people came, Choice would not cover anything since the diagnosis was leaking expansion tank. I called Choice to cancel my contract as I was completely dissatisfied with them and asked for a prorated return of about 5 months on the annual contract. They told me I couldn't cancel or they would cancel but not return any money to me. I feel swindled by this company and advise others to stay clear of them. Amazing poor service company.

Our repair man was never contacted by CHW!! The only reason he showed up is because WE called HIM. Then, CHW refused to pay for a $40 part from inside a MOEN bathtub faucet, saying I had to get reimbursed by Moen through their lifetime warranty ....but that warranty requires an ORIGINAL receipt as proof of purchase. Since the house is 30 years old and I only have owned it for 2 years, it is impossible to the original receipt....even if I had bought the house new, you do not receive repots for every part in a new house. CHW is NOT HONORING their warranty service. When I called CHW customer support they left me on hold for 5 minutes then hung up on me. CHW is a rip-off.

Horrible customer service, non-english speaking reps overseas who aren't helpful. Waited over a week with no communication about email claim that was submitted. When a response did come, it was for me to find an electrician, pay the electrician, have the electrician take pictures to send to Choice, so I could be "reimbursed". Who knows when I would have gotten "reimbursed" by doing that. When husband finally got through to english speaking stateside rep, he was told our work order would be expedited, response in no more that 48 hours. When that came and went he called again, was told there were no notes in our account, and that this rep would expedite our work order.Salesman who took my initial call was EXTREMELY pushy. I was referred to Choice by a friend who purchased her warranty with choice, she warned me about the same thing, VERY PUSHY sales person. She has yet to file a claim but is worried based on our horrible experience. Will not recommend to friends or family at this point
