I truly wanted to rate them lower because Choice contract out to companies who are unskilled and unscrupulous that are trying to make money off of Choice customers. Choice goes along with them and they refuse to fix problems that their unskilled and unscrupulous contractors break intentionally. At the end of the day, no matter , you will still have to pay the service fee each time they come out no matter if the problem is fixed or they need to come back. Because they are all crooked , you will have to wind up paying more than service call. Horrible. Dynamic Flow Heat and A/C intentionally broke my A/C system and told my compressor was broken two weeks after I just had a perfect tuneup with freezing A/C. Dynamic Flow Heat and A/C were called out just to unclog my A/C but he claimed the compressor went out while he was working on clogged drain. Now Choice won’t fix what Dynamic Flow broke!!!! I’m going to file a lawsuit against Choice and Dynamic Flow, etc. Dr. Art

I have made 3 claims to date. The 2nd and 3rd claims have both taken too long to get appointments scheduled. My 2nd claim was finally handled by a great company located 2 hours away. Even though I was pleased with their service I wonder why a local company was not used. Now my 3rd claim took a little less time to schedule but the technician did not come out. There was no call from said company with explanation or to reschedule. I called the company number provided by CHW only to find it was for a pool company. I am still waiting for repair of my lighting.

I'm not satisfied with it. I bought 6 yrs upfront and am being told salt cell is not covered. I bought same warranty for the buyer of my last home and was very disappointed in the outcome for her claim as well. Considering getting money back and doing more research for another company. Very annoying to be lied to when purchasing and then denied when needing to use warranty. They won't even cover my salt cell pool equipment; You think they're going to give me anything to leave a review . That's funny. Take care of your customers and they will take care of you. As a business owner myself i practice this.. I accommodate them instead of them accommodating me

IT TOOK MANY MONTHS TO HAVE OUR SERVICE CALL PARTIALLY COMPLETED. THE CALL WAS FOR BOTH THE FRIDGE REPAIR AS WELL AS TO HAVE OUR STOVE TOP REPAIRED. WE WERE TOLD THEY COULD NOT REPAIR THE STOVE TOP AND A CASH OFFER WAS MADE TO US BY EMAIL. THE OFFER WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND IN THE EMAIL IT GAVE US A CONTACT NUMBER TO CALL TO APPEAL THE OFFER. AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT THE PERSON BY EMAIL AND PHONE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. OUR STOVE TOP IS STILL NOT REPAIRED OR REPLACED. SO FAR THIS IS A "TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE".

I am extreamly disappointed with Choice. I will be looking for a better option. I paid $85.00 Service fee and now they want an additional $455.00 for me to get my replacement hot water heater. I am 80 years old and live on a fixed income. I have had this policy for many years and only used them once. I also pay for my special needs daughters Choice policy. Choice has done nothing but jack her around on her heat pump repair. Choice has sent several people out but not one knowledgeable in heat pumps. I have also paid for all of her service calls. I really someone reads this review and does something.

Don't waste your money on this scam company. They will most likely fix your faucet for $85 service call fee which you could pay directly to some handyman and get the same fix, but if some major stuff blows out forget about it. Water collection pan in my AC air handler rusted and leaking water which eventually shuts down the unit. Tech who came didn't bother to check the pan material even though I insisted and put his notes that it "cracked" assuming it was plastic. CHW was happy to reject my case due to "damage or misuse/abuse" stating if plastic cracked it was due to some damage. No matter how I tried to convince them it was a steel one indeed, nobody cared - they had a formal reason to decline coverage. I heard many baseless statements from their service managers about "non-moving parts not covered", "that part not covered" etc which was lies since their agreement boldly states "all AC parts are covered if failure occurred due to normal wear and tear". What is rusting if not wear and tear? How can you prevent a metal piece exposed to water 24x7 by design from rusting? What kind of maintenance would have prevented this? Nobody cared to pick up a phone and actually call that tech who put initial notes in. Assigned case managers were helpless and miserable, not sure what their function is if they have neither interest nor power in the claim process. To wrap it up, they will make up any stupid excuse you can or can't imagine to deny your claim if it's significant.

That's a week of cold showers for me and my family. At least it's not winter. This automated system idea is not as efficient as y'all think.

I have been happy with with Choice up until now. My wash machine is missing a tag on it and Sears repairman can't work on machines without this tag. I tried 3 times telling a lady this in your claims department but all she would say is no they will fix it, this happened also in April so I knew they couldn't work on it. So I finally said fine and hung up. Sears came and couldn't work on it but i had to pay the $65. After a week of not hearing from choice I called back. Talked to a nice lady who set up with another company. Guess what??? had to pay another $65!! Called company back to ask about the $65 again I paid out and after 15 minutes was told I wouldn't have to pay it the next time. Usually I have a claim a year so I guess I will wait till next year before I will benefit from that. OMG it will be like winning the lottery. as you can tell I won't be recommending Choice anytime soon. Have had Choice 3 years now and two years left on my contract. Hope I don't need to use them again.

They aren't a good warranty company. The representatives have a strong dialect, and the connections are not clear. They could not get a repairman for 3 weeks and was given the option to find one. I found one but they had to contact the company to secure the slot. They said they would not. They do not call you back nor companies that you find. Once I found a company they gave us problems in completing the reimbursement paperwork. They did not provide the correct paperwork and everything is on the computer. What about persons that can't use the computer? I'm paid up until 7/25 and this is poor customer service. I'm reevaluating this.

Choice Warranty works well if you only have repairs. When an appliance cannot be repaired, they stink. The case managers do not return phone calls or emails. They don't offer to pay for the equivalent appliance. When my dishwasher broke they only offered $300 to replace it - which cannot even buy a portable dishwasher. Now when my A/C broke, they are dragging their feet, case managers are not reviewing paperwork, lied about calling technicians, and will not follow up so that we can order a new A/C when I've been without A/C for over 2 weeks in 90+ degree heat. Customer service will not give any contact info to push the case forward. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Choice Home Warranty is a disappointment as a home warranty company. In my 2-3years with them, I had one minor HVAC repair performed, which probably saved me a $100 at best. I had one refrigerator/ice maker repair declined by Choice, which I later got fixed on my own. Currently, I have a major HVAC problem and it has been an ordeal with Choice Home Warranty and their service technicians. I had to put in multiple claims to Choice Home Warranty regarding the problem. I paid a few bad HVAC technicians as well (their Choice Home Warranty service fee for coming out). Finally, I thought things were being handled professionally with Shammah HVAC Contractor (Adelphi, Maryland)… BOY WAS I WRONG! Shammah was the WORST! They missed appointments and called & texted me lies. I honestly have no idea if they are good technicians, because they NEVER showed up to do the work. Well, Shammah will never get my business and time again, and neither will Choice Home Warranty. PLEASE shop around for a good home warranty company if they are even worth it, but most importantly please get one with good reliable contractors. Kevin B.

I have a claim that has been open for 3 weeks and it is a leak in my ceiling. Choice has stalled, delayed, and switched plumbers 3 times because they want to find a plumber who is willing to resolve by doing spot repair. The reps that I've spoken with are not helpful and they are conditioned to lie by saying he/she is the highest person I could speak with, no return calls after I requested to speak to a manager, etc. I also asked someone to tell me what was the diagnosis of the 2 plumber's and all I was told was it's a leak, but I knew that already. They are not forthcoming in telling me the resolve.

I’ve been with choice warranty for several years now and every time I have a repair it takes them over a month to get it fixed if they can even fix it. Usually people they send out don’t know what they’re doing and have to make three or four trips. This has happened at least four times on several items. I’ve complained numerous times about the vendors that they keep sending out and they don’t seem to change those vendors. Waiting four weeks and 4 visits for AC to get fixed is completely unacceptable. I had a dishwasher that it broke down and they couldn’t fix that either and they gave me the option of throwing a few hundred dollars at me which wasn’t enough to fix or replace the dishwasher after I spent thousand in the last several years between deductibles and monthly payments. The vendors are bottom of the bucket. Also, I’m not sure where they are buying all these good reviews from. I know I am finding it hard to make a review where they say they have 4 stars. So thing is very off

I was very disappointed my the service from your company for this service call. I called to set up an appointment for my hot water heater leaking. Before sending out a company you should have informed me that most leaking hot water heaters are not covered by warranty. I am out the $85 service fee and TB Plumbing will try to collect more for their service fee. They also said they would buy the water heater and install it for $915 plus the $85. A $1,000 I do not have. Fortunately I have friends in my park who can and will install my hot water heater.

The technician was outstanding both times! The first time I had to wait 4 days to recieve the reference from CHW even though I was told first that it would be 24 hours and then I was told 48 hours. The second time I needed a technician for the water heater I called the same technician and recieved excellent service for a new water heater at a cost of $1,500.00 total and I wrote a check . I called your number and had to wait 5 hours to request reembursment. I was told I would get no reimbursment. Twise I was misled. Over and over again I have had to wait for unacceptably long periodes of time to get basic services as advertised. I will follow up with a certified letterconcerning what seems to be a mjor $1,500.00 ripoff and will most likely include letters to The Veterans Department and Georgia State District Atterney's Office! I won't reorder when my contract runs out! I will find another home warranty plan elsewhere. I filed 2 claims once for plumbing one of my pvc pipes let go gallons of water just blowing out and you didn't get back to me until later that afternoon so I had to hire somebody to fix it because I would have been without water because you guys didn't get back with me for 3 days, then requested my air conditioner be looked at because of an odor problem. And when I called the representative stated that they don't come out and do that if the coils need to be cleaned or whatever she would even send anybody out here to look at it what good is your insurance?

Stay away from Choice Home Warranty. If your appliances break down, be prepared to pay at least 90% of the purchase price out of your own pocket. Choice Home Warranty will provide you a low ball offer that would not cover the price of a basic unit. Read your contract closely, I admit, I failed to do so and learned a valuable lesson and will now pay out of my own pocket to have appliances replaced. I feel that an average consumer, would reasonably believe if a warranty company makes a statement, that they will replace an appliance, that it would be assumed that the appliance being replaced would replaced with a limited cost the customer would have to pay, not so with Choice Home Warranty. Be prepared to pay close to full cost out of pocket...

I've had experience with several home warranty companies and Choice Home Warranty is the absolute worst. Any claim is rejected, rejected and rejected again for the smallest loopholes. Only after multiple follow ups do they finally acknowledge reality and then they offer the flimsiest coverage and payment options possible. In contesting an absurd rejection I even had one of their claims specialists (Sylvanna Green-Hazel) tell me that there's "nothing more to discuss, they're not revisiting the rejection" and then hang up on me mid-sentence. Maybe they're a cheaper option than others (we took a broker's recommendation here and didn't really shop companies), but life's too short to have these people in your life. Run or skip the service entirely and save your money. If you're using these guys, it's money flushed down the toilet.

The response time from filing the claim to resolution was very long. An A/C system being out during a Texas summer, with extreme heat warnings issued, for almost two weeks is not fun. The communications blamed it on a lack of willing service companies. Perhaps a better roster of service companies would help. In addition, we paid a $65 service call fee - not $45. The repair company said that was the agreement with CHW. Needing the repair, and not wanting to wait another two weeks, we paid anyway.

I did like the technicians once they came out but they should have multiple technicians to choose from for all the potential service calls they are getting.

For a total of 29 days in April/May both of my air conditioners were out of order. An immediate ticket was filled, with a contractor making a timely visit, examined both units, took multiple pictures, and I was told that both units needed to be replaced, as they were over 14 years in use and multiple problems existed. Choice did not like that contractors findings, wanted a 'diagnosis' and additional was sent to confirm the 'diagnosis' already established. A second contraction was assigned to evaluate, he refused saying he did not ever to work for Choice, even though he continued to be assigned. Choice was contacted, and a third contractor was assigned, who also did not ever do work with Choice because of slow pay, low reimbursement, etc. A fourth contractor was assigned who, when I called to verify the appointment, said I was not on his appointments and that he did not do work for Choice, giving me the same reasons listed above. By this time, after 29 days of weather between 95 and 105 degrees every day, I was totally out of patience and reported my impatience and asked for this to be assigned to a company that would do work for Choice, and nothing happened for 3 days, at which time I contacted a company, received a discount, received the manufacturers discount, and had both units installed the next day. Because I 'did not follow choice rules for full reimbursement' I was told they would not reimburse even a percentage of my cost. I have been a loyal customer for many years, but was treated as if my comfort, my families comfort, did not matter, and the heat wave Texas was having during those months was somehow my fault. I spoke to the most unfeeling 'supervisor' ever with no sympathy coming from her either. I'll watch their website, almost willing to bet this never shows up as a review.

My dryer had to be replaced because the motor was burned out. It was clearly covered by the warranty and my representative said that $335.00 was all I was allowed for the replacement of the dryer...even though the motor alone would have been over $500.00 to replace. Apparently (according to the rep.) there was no chance for appeal and she had the FINAL say. My choice (no pun intended) was to take it or leave it. I asked her what replacement model the offer was based on and where I could get one, even wholesale, for that price? She said that she had no clue, wouldn't tell me if she knew, and that, even though it was a 7.0 CU dryer with all the bells and whistles, that $330.00 was all I was "entitled" to. Apparently she consulted some secret table which she also would not share. She repeatedly referred to the contract yet there are NO replacement numbers in the contract. Just a bunch of words that Choice interprets as they can do anything they want not do not have to justify the numbers. She finally said that I was free to seek out a better company when I renewed in 2023. You betcha. Sad because I have bought policies on both my houses and have at least 6 people who have bought from Choice based on my recommendations. Buyer beware.

I purchase a Home warranty with this company and I regret it, because It his been over 3 weeks since I filed a repair request but the company have done nothing to help. every time I called the customer service support line, they are acting like they don't know anything about the clam. I filed a clam for AC repair at my house, and it has been over 3 weeks and no has done nothing to repair it. when I ask to talk to someone in the management fist they say there is no need to talk to the manager because the manager will give me the same information and there is nothing the manager can do. after insisting multiple times then they responded with a comment stating, let me reach out to the supervisor and pass on our contact information and the supervisor will reach out to you in about 24-48 hours and no one ever reached out to me about my complaint. I have 2 kids and I have been calling and asking for help and I have been avoided every time. I spoke to some one name Jenna and she was really unfair and unprofessional. they have take my money and never provided the service. I asked for my money back and they hung up the phone on me.
