I appreciate how quickly you responded to my claim off the website. The technician came right out two days later!! Awesome! My motherboard in the dryer was broken and cannot be repaired or replaced, so you said you'd replace it. HOWEVER, I was only offered $299.99 . When I appealed it, Sal, my claim manger said that was the price of the motherboard so that's it. Well, that's not a REPLACEMENT. 😒

They were supposed to be here Monday, but after I called on Wednesday they said they would be here that afternoon. They showed up at 2:52 PM. A part was needed they didn't have. Said it might be here Friday but no show. We will wait until Monday I suppose. We will see It's now the following Monday (12/31/2018) and nothing yet has happened. Still waiting. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO GO UNTIL MY DISH WASHER IS FIXED? This is during the xmas and new year holidays.... Called about 12/19/2018. They showed up about 12/24 ? I have lost track. My dish washer is still not fixed on 1/4/2019. I left a message on the 3rd. They called this morning and said the part still was not here. Expected to be in soon. I CAN ONLY WISH!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE....

After purchasing our home, we looked for a home warranty and then got call from these representative from CHW. After talking to 1 agent who was so annoying and rude to the maximum extent ....................someone called Charlie, I had to call CHW to file a complaint against him literally harassing me over phone. Then another agent called and I finally signed up for 5 years plan on December 13th. I was told that I will be getting al the information by postal within 2 weeks which i have not received so far. Also, even after signing the plan with CHW, I got zillions call per day till 29th december when I was vacationing and these people almost called me daily 6-7 times with so called good rates. Even after several complains to take me off their calling list and email list they kept on calling me until I got mad to the extent to ask the agent to stop calling me or else I am reporting this company for harassment by multiple calls and ruining my vacation to the extent that I had to keep my phone switched off. And finally when the calls didn't stop, I had to cancel the policy with them today. When you take the policy these people will charge you right next second but after cancellation they will take 15-30 days for money back, that point I don't get.... Hope none of you get harassed by these so called CHW reps that you have to look for policy cancellation even before it starts. My experience is awful as my 9 year old heard my conversation with the rep few times (i had my speaker phone on) and he got really scared with the rage some rep talk to the customers.

This company is a complete scam, they’re only in business to sell memberships and profit. They’re not interested in your or your warranty needs. All of my conversations with them have been taped or recorded “ for quality purposes”, I strongly advise you to record everything they say or do. Short version, I bought a home, haven’t even made the first payment. Buyer purchases a home warranty policy for me. The house was inspected, it passed with flying colors and it was emasculate from top to bottom. These ::::scammers::::: got a call from me when 1 of the 2 water heaters pilot would not stay on. The ::::.scammers:::: sent out their team who said it needing replacing. Do they denied my claim. Claiming the Seller was liable for not maintaining the hot water heater. It had considerable calcium build up, causing the pilot not to burn. Even the most uneducated person on the planet could abstract the lies in this accusation. I had 3 more Plummer’s come out the same day. All gave reviews and all were recorded, none agreed with the Scammers. I loathe these people and I am willing to go as far as I have too to exposed them. I will also post the tapes on YouTube

Their service they provide is not worth the monthly fee. You need to read everything they DON'T cover. The service people they use do not have proper ID or come in company trucks. This has happen twice to me now. The last time I called because the breaker box keep turning off one of the breakers and was warm to the touch. The man that came out looked in the box and said I needed a sperate breaker, said it was not covered, demaned the $45.00 and left. I contacted Choice they said the would look into it and contact me, they closed the claim without any contact. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SERVICE.

It was determined that our clothes dryer start switch was no longer available to purchase; consequently the dryer was not repairable and in need of replacement. I was given an offer of $299.99 that was not even close to replacement cost. I declined the initial offer. We were contacted a short time later and it appeared to turn in to a "negotiation" session and the representative increased their offer to $350.00. I had no choice but to accepted the offer but I will still must spend a significant amount of out of pocket money to replace the dryer. I was also told that the company determines the amount to replace an appliance on wholesale and not retail so in order for me to get another dryer I will have to pay the additional amount; and it would take twenty days to process the offer and an additional five business days before the check will arrive. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST. IF I COULD GIVE THE COMPANY A ZERO RATING I WOULD. This company is a disappointment. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH before dealing with this company.

The very first claim ( bathroom exhaust fan) we made with Choice was never settled - we received an email that they could not find anyone in our area to make the repair! They said if we would find someone to do the work, they would re-imburse us for the cost....total scam. They immediately started their game of wanting our electrician to call them before making repairs so they could review...after having us do the work we thought we were paying for when we took out our contract! After a couple months with no communication from them, we decided to cancel our contract and demanded a refund. They did not refund our total amount and charged us for the first couple of months - in which no repairs were made. This is a sorry company to do business with and we are informing all our friends and family to avoid them completely! I guess it’s an old fashioned belief to think you should get what you pay for...definitely the case with these Shysters!!! Avoid at your peril...

I have had nothing but bad experiences, I put in two claims on December 15, which neither issue is fixed. I put in a request for my chain on my ceiling fan that controls my light . The schedule appointment was scheduled for Wednesday from 7 to 11. Here it is 4 o’clock no one has called or anything I called technician number and he said I am out of town choice warranty was suppose to reschedule it and get in contact with you I said no one has call email or anything !! So I have to be without a light in my bedroom until when ? He said he would fall them to see if they could assign to another technician still haven’t heard from them or anything totally unprofessional. But what makes me the most furious besides this during the Christmas holiday!! The other request was my faucet on my tub was leaking .. which was told to me this summer before getting this package all fixtures in bathroom are replaced etc . The representative pretty much bribed me into getting this higher packages and to not go with another company to basically get a sale .. plumber comes out and barely do anything and says am not gone try to take it apart bc the entire cartridge needs replacing so I will order it and submit it to then . Hour later received email claim denied cartridge not a fixture .. I have a lot of neighbors with these guys and told them my experience and they some are not renewing either . I will be sure to let the neighborhood know bc they not professional and representative don’t care about customers just trying to make a sale . Company’s are now based off numbers and metrics .. They don’t care about the customers really it’s sad.

We accepted an offer but will still spend a significant amount of out of pocket money to return us to whole.

while customer service arranged a service quickly the service call was 4 days out. Luckily I called the provider to let them know what part was needed and they advised that they had to come out diagnose the issue, submit to choice for approval, then order the part and then schedule a return visit which in total would likely take over 2 weeks. Glad it was a washing machine not a heater. So much for the quicker service promises made by the sales guy I should have stayed with my old provider. Lucking the contractor was great which is why they are getting 2 stars.

Service was scheduled for Thursday between 3:00 PM & 8:00 PM, Offce called about 6:15 PM and said tech was running behind And would be late so rescheduled for Friday between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Tech called at 9:51 AM and advised was about an hour out. I called him at 1:25 PM and was told would be there in about 10 minutes, arrived at 1:40 which was almost 3 hours past the 1 hour wait.Wait was entirely too long for an hour job.

I had an HVAC problem this Summer. It took a week for them to have someone come out, and he diagnosed it a problem with the thermostat. Then he disappeared off the face of the earth. I bugged Choice time after time after time, to get someone to fix it. They kept blowing me off. Then I finally got to find someone on my own to come out, and he diagnosed it correctly as the freon being leaking. The repair was about $500 and Choice refused to pay for that because they said the coil was rusty. No one from Choice every saw the coils - I have no idea how they thought they were rusty as their repair person told them (I listened) that the furnace was in normal condition for a 10 year old furnace. So - over 2 weeks in the Summer in Atlanta without air for them to waste my time and not pay to fix anything. I would not refer anyone to them. Oh - but their sales team is pushy as alland you can always talk to them. But try to get ahold of anyone when you have a claim, good luck.

I am terribly disappointed in my first experience with Choice. So much so, that I would be happy with a full refund of my paid premiums for me to move on and select another provider for which I have not had any issues in the past. Why so disappointed? I recently submitted a claim for our dishwasher that happened to stop functioning properly. Shortly after submitting my claim, I was informed that Choice has no service technicians in the area. What? No appliance service techs in the area? Well, I was given the opportunity to select a third party and to be reimbursed. So, I called Samsung, the manufacturer, and they put me in touch with their national service provider. The service provider came promptly and diagnosed the problem. Her lies the issue: I called the Choice Authorization number. Waited 30 minutes until the technician had to leave for another service call. I then selected the option for an automatic call back. Another 30 minutes later I received a call back. However, shortly thereafter the call was disconnected. Nobody called me back. So, 30 minutes later, I called again and selected the auto call back. 25 minutes after that, someone returned my call. I explained the situation, however they said they could not help me because the technician was not present. I tried to explain that I was left with a written estimate and a diagnosis of what was found. That was not good enough. THe agent asked for the technicians phone number. I gave it to him, but also explained that there was no compelling reason for the technician to call back and wait 30 - 45 minutes on hold. And the technician never did call back. Fortunately, the next day, I decided to create a conference call between Choice and Dish Network Services. The matter was eventually resolved, but not after much frustration. Your system for reimbursement is terribly flawed! So much so that I would prefer a full refund on my premiums so I can choose another warranty company that has service techs in my area and does not make it so difficult to deal with. I've only had one repair experience so far - not good. Tenant oven went out. I called Choice. First appliance tech said it would take a several days to make a visit! So, I called Choice & expressed disappointment. 2nd appliance guy came out same day (good). But said he does not carry the oven valve, and it would take 4 days to receive part!! There is a oven valve part in Salt Lake & somewhere else. Does it really take 4 days to ship an oven valve?? No, I doubt it. Not the best experience. Lets hope next one is better

I was disappointed because it was the first time I called for repairs on my garbage disposal. I received an email saying the man would be here on Sunday between 3:00 and 8:00pm. The email was sent on Wednesday. The man never showed up and he never called to cancel. I left several messages on his cell phone and he finally called me on Monday. He said he would be here on Tuesday. I was also told that an email was sent telling me that the date was changed. I didn't receive the email until Tuesday. It was a minor repair but a lot of my time was wasted. I hope if I need service again, Choice will do a better job in scheduling.

Very bad experience! I expect more to come as now I have to get legal help. I purchased a warranty from Choice, on 11-6-18, and after reading the warranty they sent me I cancelled the policy by phone on 11-7-18. A representative named Latisha, tried talking me into keeping the policy or at least the option part of the policy. I refused! She informed me that she would send me a confirmation e-mailed of the cancellation, and my refund. I paid Choice , $91.42 for the policy. The e-mail Latisha, sent me stated that the policy is cancelled, and I would not be getting a refund. This right here shows you how dishonest and fraudulent this company is. I bought the policy one day and cancelled it the next day before it even went into effect which takes 30 days to begin with, and they want to rip me off for my money. They're dishonest crooks! I just turned 65 yrs old, and I'm a disabled veteran, and on social security which everyone should know doesn't pay much. Well, I guess this is how Americans should be treated. Don't do business with these thieves! Just want to add an update: I turned this matter over to my bank, and after 14 calendar working days they got my money back. Choice home warranty never contacted me. Don't do business with them!

I get repairman at my home . 3rd Call to Choice /rules must get Choice claim PreApproval to talk to repairman before starts repair. Choice answers says will transfer to claim Preapproval dept. Waited as phone kept ringing for over 14 Minutes! Choice NOT answer to give PreApproval reimburse me ! Only Frustration dealing with Choice Home Warranty NOT giving me REFRIGERATOR service -Choice be there when I have need. Ha ha joke on me. I’m angry 😡 Choice NOT there for me.

Didn't like the "sales" approach process in obtaining the info on the plan, etc. Salesman was very pushy, felt like it was bate and switch process. Just because he says the same thing every day doesn't mean I understand it all the "fast" first time he says it! So we'll see it the rest of the year of coverage is a better process to go thru. Right now I don't have a really good feeling about the Company.

My initial experience signing up was outstanding. I did a significant amount of research and still recall the great experience I had with Dan M. When I called my first service to get my heater fixed, my claim was immediately denied. I had a certified technician at my home able to accommodate my request by coming the same day and your company denied my claim. That’s was the first problem and a major one since my home was below 20 degrees. I was offered to have your technician come out; however within 24-48 hours someone would pick my case out of a queue. At that point, I felt like nothing more than a number and that my case obviously was not a priority. Each person I spoke to provided the same scripted response without any form of empathy. No one cared that my home did not have heat; including you supervisor and your retention department. After being transferred and speaking to the last member of a management she agreed to close my account per my request and provide a partial refund. She didn’t care to retain me nor did she acknowledge anything I was saying. Most importantly, she never sent the follow up email confirming my account was closed. Not to mention, I continued to receive emails that a your assigned technician would still come out. Note I tried to log into your site to state I no longer needed service and your company proceeded. I even tried to call the technician with the number provided and he still tried to call me at 2:30 pm to come. My biggest question that no one could answer was why send your technician to diagnose the same problem you were not willing to fix?! Not only is there a major communication issue, I had no way to leave a message because your office message stated closed. In addition, I was blocked from your website. I’m extremely furious and disappointed in the services rendered. I tried to explain I had a complete write up with th details of the issues our technician provided to me; however your unprofessional supervisor became combative. It’s never personal against a csr, it is critical that agents are trained to handle calls without “taking it personal”. If you don’t cover things considered to be normal wear and tear, why would I need a home warranty? I had to spend money on two emergency service calls to get my heater up and running without any help from your company. Needless to say, I’m extremely dissatisfied with your service and lack willingness to help my family when our heater went out. What I would like it the email promised with full details regarding my cancellation. If you would like to discuss further, feel free to call.

I paid a pretty penny to cover my tankless hot water system. They promise to repair or replace if your system fails. The only failure is Choice. They rely on not paying and take advantage of the consumer and the contractors who you have to pay for a call. They have a go to exclusion for any water system. CORROSION exists when you have water especially in Arizona They embarass you and the contractors and will not replace or repair. They are bad business people who take advantage of Seniors who think this is protection. They should be investigated for their product and promises I intend to call a news network and pursue a class action suit. In business Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose. The only losers here are the Customer and the contractors who waste their time.

I have a GE over the range microwave go out. Was told it was the main computer board. I was told it would have to be replaced because it cannot be fixed. I am offered $165, I refuse the $165 and Choice offers $220. I paid good money to have broken appliances replaced, if not repaired. I didn’t realize I would be paying a $45 service call, purchase a like microwave for $219.00 plus 10% tax $21.90, $125 to remove the old, broken microwave and to install the new microwave. So it costs me $410.90 and I was offered and had to accept $220 (was told I would receive no other offer). So it cost me $190.90 to “BECOME WHOLE” as they sell you as Choice sells you the Home Warranty Plan. I have American Home Shield at one of my other homes and they would paid 100% (unit, removal and installation). NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY THIS REPLACEMENT WAS HANDLED. Why am I paying $190.90 out of pocket!!

The customer service is great, however, the contractors they use, never fix the problems. I recently had an issue that I was told was fixed, only to get home and the problem still exists. Had a different issue last year with no follow up from contractor. Sorry I had to rate so low but if it wasn't for the mediocre service, I would give 4 stars. It's not the company, it's the contractors.

If I could give it a ZERO - I WOULD!!! On 09/19/2018 I placed a request for service on my Refrigerator. A tech came out to check on it 09/21/2018 - it was determined that it would be easier to replace than repair. I have a Side by Side - in door stainless steel Refrigerator. They offered me $400 to replace. After a dispute I ended up only getting $700, this was agreed on 09/24/2018. As of today 11/19/2018 I have not received my check. I was told it was mailed on 11/07/2018 and it i want a replacement check they will CHARGE ME $30. I advised that I will give until Monday and if not received I will be asking for a supervisor. My case manager Tommy G told me there is NO ONE above him I could speak to. That he is it! PLEASE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

CHW = Fraudsters intentionally stealing your money and not delivering services paid for. As a customer for several years, I have not been able to get items fixed which I first reported in August 2016 upon 7 separate times (because they have a system that keeps on closing inquiries for better NPS scores / but, it has nothing to do with if the items are fixed or not). It is now November 2018 and none of it got fixed. This is really, really, really bad company as they were not able to have a manager available EVER to speak with him or, return my calls / inquiries. STAY AWAY from Choice Home Warranty!

Don't Enroll in This Company! FRAUD! I had a cracked heat exchanger and they refused to cover it. At first they said they wouldn't cover it because the damage "wasn't from normal wear and tear." Even though their technician said it was. So I paid another heat and air technician to come out and give me a second opinion. He also said it was a cracked heat exchanger, and the damage was from normal wear and tear. He slo mentioned it was rusty, but since it was an outside until, and properly encased in metal, and off the ground on a cement slab, with good ventilation, it was definately from normal wear and tear. I submitted this information to Choice Home Warranty and they denied the claim again by saying they don't cover anything that's "rusty". I reminded them that both technicians said that was normal, since its an outside unit, and they still refused to pay for the repair. So I was out the initial $60 co-pay, then the $50 fee to the second technician, then the $1277 repair! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

I lost my house in Hurricane Michael. Total loss. I called Choice to cancel the policy because THE HOUSE WAS GONE! TOTALED! The stupid customer service personnel kept telling me that they were not responsible for damages from the hurricane. How stupid are they? They thought I wanted to have them fix the dishwasher WITHOUT THE FREAKING HOUSE AROUND IT? Then they tried to charge me from the time they received the phone call. There were no communication options in the entire area: no phone, no fax, no email. I escalated the call to 3 supervisors and they STILL THOUGHT I WANTED THEM TO REPAIR THE APPLIANCES! DID THEY EAT STUPID FOR BREAKFAST? THEN they wanted to charge me a cancellation fee. Then the arrogant manager acted like they were doing me a favor by giving me my money back. She kept talking over me. Would not let me finish a single sentence. Told me that I WAS BEING UNREASONABLE!! I explained that if they wished to pursue it, I could speak to the local judge, who also lost his house, and see who would win. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she refused. Said she was placed in that position to take care of customers and she would not let me speak to the vice president of the department, which is who I asked to speak with in the beginning. I called her an ugly name (which was accurate; she was acting like it) and she hung up on me. REALLY? Losing the house in the hurricane wasn't enough? They had to act like that? I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH SUCH A HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE COMPANY AGAIN!

The water heater went out at home, CHW did not cover the water container, so i was left on my own, out of $ 925 CHW contributed only $ 300 and they got rid of the claim. A month later the cloth dryer need it attention , they said it was more cost effective to replace it , they offer me $ 299.00. it cost more to replace it, they say they don't go by retail prices, ok then by one at whole sale price and install one, NO we dont do that either .......... then I had to negotiate and end up offering me not more than $ 350 then $ 375 max. And I had to take charge and finish the job myself and buying a used one because a new basic one costs around $ 500. And the check of $ 375 will come in 30 days. So you judge for yourself if its worth it.

I have a serious issue and spoke to a resolution person yesterday. When I first bought into Choice Home Warranty I specifically asked the sales person will this cover exactly what I currently have in my home? Of course he said only to find out that is not true. I asked this because we built a custom home and I would want the same high end appliances or anything else that needs to be replace at the same high end. My garage door motor has to be replaced and this is when I find out that they are going to replace it with a cheaper version and it will not match the double garage which now will have 2 controllers instead of just one. That is just unacceptable to me and stupid to have to carry to different garage controllers. They want to change out my belt driven garage door opener to a chain driven one which will cost me out of pocket over $175.00. I can buy a new belt driven garage door opener for $158.00 at Lowe's. I understand you are looking for the cheapest way to fix this but its unacceptable when the homeowner has to still pay out of pocket for something that is not of the same value. Your guarantee/warranty does not stand up to what your sales people are selling. I am very disappointed.

I had to file my first claim yesterday I have a drain line that is leaking under my home the Plumber came out and didn't go under the house because I had a picture from my electrician that replaced my stove wire as he finished his assessment he sent in the claim and they denied me because of corrosion and rust but the only problem is I have black plastic schedule 40 pvc pipe with pictures that clearly says schedule 40 pvc so I filed a review and just got an email from a case manager that said again they denied my claim because of rust and corrosion the last time I checked PVC DOESN'T RUST!!!! It is clear that they just done want to pay for my repair I will give them a chance and will call them tomorrow if not I will go to a different company it upsets me that I had to pay a service fee for nothing when it clearly should be a covered issue.

I regret getting involved with this company. I had to wait several days for a tech on my first claim, I paid the service call fee and was ok with the service he provided. Now that it is winter, the only way my heat pump will heat is if it is in ‘Emergency’ heat. Fast forward to yesterday, when my fridge broke. I am told that they are trying to find a tech. The guy I talked to said if I wanted to pick my own tech, I could do the reimbursement plan but when I try to click on it, after I have made an appointment, it says ‘reimbursement not available for this claim.’ So, I call back to let them know and I am told that my claim was cancelled! The guy on the phone opens the claim back up and says they will find a tech...and they did! For November 26th! Did I say that my fridge doesn’t work at all?

I'm really disappointed with the service provided over the past year. We have had multiple issues with the toilet that was in claims going all the way back to last year - we had multiple technician's come look at it and tell us it was impossible to fix because of the make and that they would recommend replacing it. The first claim got denied. The second got approved, but the technician then left choice home, and then a third one was sent out after we filed another claim - and instead of just doing what was already approved, it got denied again. It feels like a sham at this point, in how many times we've had to pay the technician visit fee. We could have just gotten a new toilet with all of that money. I'm seriously reconsidering our contract.

I really REGRET going with Choice. I chose the company because of good reviews, but now I'm not sure who are the good reviewers. I became their customer in 2017 with 2 houses. It was fine for the first year because I didn't have anything major. It was more like a handyman calls. I was happy because it seemed like they were good at getting claims done fast. But once real problems arises, water heater - DENIED, garage door - DENIED, refrigerator not cooling - DENIED. I accepted all that and paid the repairs out of my own pocket. Now, my freezer is malfunction, and they DENIED it again with a false untrue exclusion. Then the case manager gave me another denial reason over the phone, except this time it's a reason that is not even an exclusion on the contract. I asked for it writing, but nothing was done. I want to take this claim to a higher level for review, no one else other than this case manager I can talk to. Where is upper management? With both of my houses, I have paid over several thousand dollars, but have only gotten back the service of handyman. If I wanted a handy man, I could have paid much less. I am stuck now because I finally realize what a horrible company Choice, but cannot get back even a decent refund. They are charging me over $1000 for each house for only 1 year of service for handyman work they have done, if I want to cancel my policy. RIDICULOUS!!!This company made false claims that really needs to be properly reviewed.

This company provide the very worst customer service, if there was a word other than worst to use i would. They are dreadful. I took me so many phone calls to schedule a service call. Not only they messed up my address (I have 2 address on my contract ) sent the service tech to the wrong place. The list is endless. Tried to update my phone number to my cell, forget it. They schedule me a weekend appointment only when i call back to confirm told me I had no appointment. Then after 10 mins. The agent finds it. under yes again my other address, and calmly informed me we dont do weekend appointments. So I am back to square one. with a very high blood pressure and still with a broken A/C. still trying to schedule an appointment.
