I had two calls so far. The dryer could not be fixed and a gift card was issued for Lowes, however, the amount for a replacement was only $388.00, which is not enough for a new dryer. I was very disappointed. The second one call was for a washer, which was repaired. It was my understanding that if an appliance could not be repaired, it would be replaced,not half replaced.

Great system for contact, oversight of my problems by a single individual and she's really on top of her game, plus she has excellent back-up. Things are just "supposed to" happen - they do! I had 3 problems in my home. My stove top burners quit working, my shower head was spraying the ceiling due to clogging I. The rain head and the previous owners left us with clogged bath tubs, sinks and a toilet that would keep running and not fill the tank. I’m pleased to say all of our problems have been taken care of. They were always on time, knowledgeable and professional. They worked around my schedule which I was so thankful for!

I had a problem with my stackable washer and dryer. The first time I called on it I bd was having water coming out the door. Only one man came out knowing that it was a 2 man job, he removed the part that you put softener or bleach in so every time I did laundry I had to dump the water that filled up in the drawer. I dealt with that for 6 months and called back, 2 men came cleaned out the drawer put the part back in and out worked fine. It wasn’t about water pressure like the first guy said ! It was fixed with the 2guys that came last! I’m very happy

The communication between Florida Pro Services and me was very slow. Finally, once it was approved it went quickly and the technician (John) from Florida Pro Services was great. But, I was out of air conditioning for 10 days at 99 and 100 degree weather and I am 86 years old with a heart condition and being without air was brutal. I feel there should have been better communication with me. On day 11 John came back and got my air conditioning system going and all is well!!

I’m new to Choice, I’ve only used them once for a cooktop. Everyone was nice,. The only complaint I would have is the longevity from the time you call for something broke until somebody actually shows up. I can see where this will be extremely problematic in the summer if your air-conditioning broke. So far so good. I have several houses. I’m giving this one year. If it works, I will get the warranty on all of them.

He arrived on time with new hot water heater and went to town to get the parts that he didn't have with him. He explained what had happened with old heater and what we could expect with the new one. Choice Home Warranty provided quick responses for my problems. Sometimes a week is too long to wait for a repair. I would like the assigned repair company to call and let me know that they have the repair order and see if they are able to get to me sooner. This last problem, the repair facility never did call. Another company was assigned but this was another week. The 2nd repair facility couldn't find a clean out and poured a chemical in the drain to open it. he said that should do it but to wait a few hours for it to work and left. The drain did drain better but does fill up after a few minutes. Maybe he should have called back and verify that the problem was solved but did not. He was very polite and had a professional appearance. I would rate him with an 8 out of 10. I guess I will buy a commercial grade drain cleaner and see if that works. I may need to locate where the drain clean out is. this may require me to hire a plumber ti do that??

Mark and Kaylon, the two guys that came to service my water heater did a very good job. They were on time, checked everything out, found the problem, even checked with their manager to verify their findings. They fixed the problem and checked to make sure everything was working right, cleaned up and left. These young men were the best servicemen that have ever come to fix something at my home. I paid for 7 years and am several years into the contract and the contractors have been below scale until now. I finally got something fixed.

I've only had Choice Home Warranty about 2 months. In that short time, both my refrigerator (icemaker) and stovetop were in need of repair after an energy surge. Not sure it caused the icemaker problem, but definitely did the stove. They sent repairmen out in a very timely manner (Frigidaire) and as soon as parts were obtained, it was fixed. It's terrible to be out of ice in Florida with the type temperatures we're having now, so was very happy to get my ice back.

Easy to file, document & work thru a claim. I can update my claim whenever I want and get a response back from the claims team in a reasonable amount of time. Their repairmen can service a long list of appliances, but we had one that was not on the list. They were easy to work with and understanding about us getting our own technician out to access our problem. The 4th claim we filed was on our dryer. Even though the dryer was out of warranty, the manufacturer replaced the dryer free of charge so no need for Choice Warranty to pay out. But they did walk thru the process with me.

I always receive a response from Choice within 24 hours after submitting a claim. For small projects, this is definitely a relief. The vendors are generally busy but good, except Sears Home Services (very unreliable and a lot of employees seem not happy). I hope Choice will have more small business vendors, those are generally professional and thorough.

I had another company offer an inexpensive a/c service to my unit then told me me unit had pressure problems and refused to work with Choice. I cancelled the appointment with that company and called choice to send out their a/c representative for a second opinion. They came out and said my unit was fine and cleaned and checked my unit. The Choice warranty saved me from being ripped off for unneeded repairs

I have been with CHW for a number of years and had np problems until this year. I usually rate 5, but because I had trouble with one of the contractors sent to my home. This person was obviously unskilled and had compassion for his job. He did nothing but looked inside my clean dishwasher, closed the door and said go to home depot and get some dishwasher Cleaner. (What) ???? I have dishwasher Cleaner. I gave it to him, he opened it and (sprayed ) it in my dishwasher, turned it on. Got paid and left. Water started to flow from under the dishwasher. I am upset. It took several days to reach him. Once I reached him.....he arrogantly said "I'm not coming back" call CHW. That got it with me.....CHW sent another contractor, out to find the initial problem. The first contractor really did not know what he was doing. Flooded my dishwasher with suds which caused the water to Sud from under the dishwasher. Other than that CHW has always received a 5 rating for years.

I have had Choice HW for over 10 years and I cannot find anything to complain about. Over my 10+ years I have had my Microwave replaced, my Dishwasher replaced, had to have drain lines unplugged, and all done by reputable technicians selected by Choice. Anytime I have called with a problem or just questions about my warranty I’m treated like a friend and not a customer. I just renewed my warranty for another 5 years and it’s because I have truly come to trust Choice.

For the most part it was a great experience. My only complaint was the amount of time it took to find a reputable technician to do the job. In fairness that could be just where we live. Really could not have been better! Have told my friends and family about Choice Home Warranty and how it is great to have the home warranty. Some of my friends have had home warranties and when they had a break down they would not pay. Great Technician resolved the problem right away for the leaking kitchen faucet. The plumbing service needs to hire more plumbers since there was more than 48 hours lead time. For the two wet spots around the shower, the technician checked them and instructed to wait and see if the spots expanding or not since his touched the spot and did not feel wet.

I used it when the heating was not working properly, and I was able to call on a Friday. However, service was not going to be available until Tuesday under normal circumstances. I was able to contact the repair person and move it to that Friday, but I had to pay an extra hundred dollars. The service guy was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, and we were up and running within 2 to 3 hours from his arrival.

They've just been helpful every time that I've called they've gotten a person out as soon as they could. And then if they couldn't fix it right away, they were able to get it replaced. There's only one bad thing, though. My microwave stopped heating, and they couldn't fix it. So they replaced it, but they only replaced it for the amount of how much the wholesale cost was. And then I had to pay to get it installed. That was very frustrating.

I put in a claim online. Then it was just a matter of hours before I saw the email that would show us when there would be technicians that would be out. And then he would be coming out of time and everything. And he showed up on time, the guy that came was very knowledgeable, he's very polite and help me a lot with the garbage disposal. So he taught me a lot about that, and they had to replace the garbage proposal. He was in and out and just a matter of no time and that was it. I mean, I pay your little part that you have to pay. It was a very easy process.

I recently needed to use my warranty because my washing machine broke. They had someone come out and the person said they couldn't fix it. So they were given the funding for a new one. And it's not sufficient to buy a new one. They say it's based on the model and year and all this other kind of stuff. But ironically enough, I had another washing machine at another house that's insured and it had a newer washing machine that had all the bells and whistles. But apparently, the size was smaller. And they gave me the same exact amount, which again, isn't enough to buy a new washing machine and dryer from the store. And then I'm waiting 30 to 60 days to get the funding.

I used my warranty for my microwave oven because it was not working, and they replaced it. The second time, my garage door opener was not opening the door. Just not too long ago, I had to use it for an electrical outlet. It had burned out so they came out and repaired it, and did an excellent job. In and out in a short amount of time. Whenever I've had to have something repaired, if they couldn't repair it, they did replace it. A couple of years ago, my ceiling fan went out and they couldn't fix it, so they replaced it with a new one. And it's working fine today.
