Best feature: Choice Home Warranty will allow you to request a technician who has serviced your unit previously, from their list of providers, and you were satisfied with the work they did. My current issue was no heat from my Rhuud gas pack.

There was a long period of time (3 weeks) to begin the evaluation and/or repair process. Once done with that initial appointment, we once again waited almost two weeks for another appointment to occur. The end result was a unrepairable fridge/freezer unit because a very small fan inside the unit failed and could not seem to be repaired or replaced. The fan was 'toy-sized' and probably cost about 5 dollars to make somewhere overseas, but I ended up spending more than a thousand dollars to replace the fridge/freezer. Admittedly, the unit was around 22 years old, and the cash settlement to me was probably quite generous considering the age of stuff involved. I'm just disappointed that a part so cheap can lead to my replacement cost. I am not being critical of any person involved, just bummed about the time overall, and the unavailability of the fan unit.

I was very pleased with the repair of my dryer. It is working and drying clothes very well. I am satisfied with the replay of my air conditioner. I’m not sure about the quality of the machine compared to the one I had, but it is cooling well. Thank you for getting them done in a timely manner.

I was disappointed when I made my request of a non-working microwave. I gave the model number and another #to the agent and she informed me that a GE representative would be contacting me. Three and a half weeks later he came. He never even opened the microwave. He immediately told me it would need to be replaced as they didn't even make the parts anymore. Seems to me that could have been determined when I made the original request. He said I would hear from you guys as to what you would do. I did hear about 15 minutes later. I was informed that I would get a gift card to Lowes for about $190. I had to go and buy a microwave and pay the additional cost plus instalation and dispose of the old one. I was also offered a check to me and allow me to buy the microwave wherever I choose. Today, about two months after the original request I got my microwave. It cost over $400. It is exactly like the one I had. Then to add insult to injury I still have not received my check from CHW.

The technician was dispatched out assessed the situation and realized he needed parts. He ordered the parts to make the repairs and rescheduled for the following Tuesday. He arrived on Tuesday and made the repairs and the dryer works like new!! Thank you very much Choice Home Warranty!!

The service representatives and delivery personnel are always very helpful. Did not take long to get a replacement refrigerator. The only issue I had was I had to wait 30 days to get an ecard from Lowes. Also I was hoping I could use it at any department store.

Technician was on time but could not find anything wrong with our pipes. The problem could have been the gaskets on the faucets, but since they were not leaking he said he could not look at the faucets as this would not be covered under the warranty. I would think the warranty should have included the option for the technician to also look at the faucets to find out if they were the problem.

I have a home warranty with Choice. My evaporator coil on my HVAC unit was leaking and I filed a claim with them. Filing the claim was easy and their response was fast. A technician came to my home and looked at my HVAC unit, filed a report and my claim was approved. The technician then came and replaced my HVAC unit it.

They seem to have a high Satisfaction rating. We are very satisfied. The dishwasher broke and at first they declined to fix it because they said that it was not normal wear and tear. May give them much credit since I appealed the decision and had them bring a technician for a second look and it was fixed. It now works beautifully and choice warranty came through.

I have been with Choice for two years. overall, services are fine, however, I had two less than satisfactory experiences: In one case, we had garage door malfunction causing an emergency, as several rollers had come off, and the door was hanging and in danger of breaking. There was no time to waste, and we had the service done within couple of hours. Choice did not cover the reasonable cost of the repair. In another case I reported a faucet leak, and in my request for repair I explained the faucet was on the wall outside the kitchen. Choice sent a technician, I was charge, but Choice rejected the claim, stating that the leak was not inside the house.
