I have had Choice Warranty for over 15 years now. I have utilized them to cover three different homes now in two totally different regions of the country. When I lived in central NJ, I loved Choice. Their ability to get technicians scheduled to repair the problem within a day or two was second to none. ANY time that I needed repairs, Choice had someone there within two days usually. When I moved from NJ to southeastern NC, I naturally stayed with Choice. Naturally, there is not a large of a pool of technicians/companies that are willing to work with Choice to choose from. That fact had not hit me until this past week. I had placed a ticket for AC repair with Choice. Even with myself trying to find someone to work with Choice. I nor Choice was able to find anyone to accept the repair ticket for over a week. This was during days of 95+ temperatures. However, it did finally get fixed. Here's the main point. IF you live in a metropolitan area Choice has proven to be great. However, if you don't, well it's gonna take longer to find a technician to fix your problem.

Aleem from Beltway Air Comfort Service is an exceptional technician. When my air conditioning failed on July 3, and my home temp soared to 84 degrees — with the region experiencing rare trip-digit heat — , he was there in just over 24 hours, replaced a burned wire and capacitor outside, and it was back on in less than an hour. He had replaced a small part before, so I requested him by name for such a critical job. Highly recommend!

When Mazaya garage door repair man came out, he found the problem right away. Ordered the part and came back today and did the repair. He also made sure that both remotes and the keypad were operating the opener. Also made sure that the door sensors were correctly aligned. The technician was very friendly and polite. I would recommend him highly!

Our garbage disposal had stopped working, We reset it and it ran for a short while and stopped again. We tried the reset with no success. I filed a claim with Choice Home Warranty and a repair service was assigned within hours and the appointment made. The service tech communicated concerning his time of arrival and when he arrived was very pleasant and went straight to address the issue with the disposal. Within a few minutes it was working as well as ever. We are well pleased!

The man from Sears was polite and asked what was the problem . I explained the air conditioner wouldn't stop running. It's over 20 years old. He ran some tests, checked everything out and determined it was bad wiring. He showed me the wires and replaced them. He ran more tests to make sure it was running efficiently. He was thorough with his testing and explained everything. I respect someone who takes the time to listen to what I have to say and then go about solving the problem. Very happy with this person.

However the overall customer service of CHW is poor. Multiple emails with different dates and times are constantly rescheduled. The technicians were great. They came and we’re friendly and assessed the situation and gave me clear information and their follow up was great. That all said, I would never recommend this particular home warranty company. They did not fully cover the job. They covered the labor, but not all of the materials. Typically insurance covers replacement value and this did not. I would definitely tell people not to not to use this company.

Really appreciated the personable and knowledgeable person I spoke to—Christopher didn't give me a spiel, just answered my questions and helped me compare Choice coverage to my previous (American Home Shield). AHS had jumped in price by almost $50 in one month, which was half again what I was already paying them monthly. So I was done. In contrast, Choice is much more affordable and the coverage is the same. It ended up being a no-brainer. Made the only "Choice" that made sense.

Send tech out right away and he spent time fixing the problem and said if it continues to happen then to call again and the AC stopped working again and I called and they set up an appointment to look at AC again to find out what is going on, also when I call Choice Warranty they seem very helpful with what is happening and are quick to set up an appointment so the problem can be fixed.

I wasn’t very happy with the first technician they sent out however my second opinion tech was very thorough and explained how cost of the repairs outweighed the replacement cost. This is the first time I used Choice Home Warranty, and I must say I was very skeptical of the type of service I was going to get since it was Mamorial day weekend. After filing my claim online I received a response the next day, and was told they were working on contacting a contractor to address the problem with my stove. They referred a contractor within 2 days. The contractor was James from AJE who turned out to be a very competent professional that fixed my problem within a week. Thanks, Choice Home Warranty.

He was only here ess than an hour and to be quite honest with you, the washer works better now than when we bought it! There seems to be a glitch in Choice Home Warranty. After a technician visits. When the technician diagnoses the issue, it takes Choice Hime Warranty time to determine the problem with the covered item. Then if the item is covered another appointment is made by the service provider to make another appointment for the technician to make the repair. This needs to be addressed in the Choice Home Warranty management to better streamline their warranty process procedures.

When I needed help with getting my dryer repaired the process was user friendly. I input my information and needs, I got a response with in 30 minutes telling who the contractor would be and the day and time to expect him. Later in the week he arrived as promised and diagnosed the problem and fixed it.
