I started claim # 155522656. The technician came to house, worked on my washer then sent the information to Choice home Warranty. I then received an email on 4/30/2022 that the washer was going to be replaced. There was an option to start the replacement process and I selected this, I received notification that I had already completed this process. I then received an email stating i would be receiving an email gift card for Lowes. I never received that email. I am currently without a washer and now I have to wait until May 12th to talk to someone and that is only for 15 minutes. I am definitely not a happy camper at this moment.

You guys phone presentation as answering the calls are good but as far as you contacting the technicians not so good I am still trying to get my Gas fix because you guys do not contact the technicians when it’s time to fix it I don’t know what’s going on I really have no reasons for you. I’m having to pay I’m having to pay another deduction which is $85 in already paid it for the same thing no one told me that it was 30 days expire I paid the second in my gas is still not on and I still have a gas leak fixed it and then ask me for review

The best was the kick service. My services have all been good until now. My electrical issue I had this week got me upset on my out let wich is part of my home structure went bad ,just because it was on the out side wall ,and it cause some of the problem inside the house. It was upsetting that have of my problems wasn't solve.how can u cover the house but not the exterior . The electrical wires work both the inside and out side.you can't separated the power source.

Unfortunately this last repair for my water heater has taken almost a month with the first repair company telling me what the problem was then CHW changed the company. After 3 more company's coming and the last an electrician and paying another fee, he told me the first company was right and I need a plumber again. Not sure if maybe I should look into another company..

I appreciate having a warranty on the house to assist with covering costs, but a warranty usually has some fully replaced costs, or at least an option to fully replace. Our dishwasher broke on the first week that we moved into the house and after a week of waiting for their technician to survey the damage I got an email the day before saying their technician canceled the appointment. We waited another full week for Choice to find a different technician and they couldn't so we called our own and chose the reimbursement path. When our technician told us a replacement was necessary Choice said they will only cover a wholesale cost for the dishwasher. What normal homeowner can get a dishwasher at wholesale cost? If I had the option to pick a "full warranty" to cover the dishwasher I would have, but no one explained the differences in plans to me so I picked the basic warranty plan.

My experience with CHW has been good AND disappointing. The majority of claims have been handled appropriately. My last complaint stems from a refrigerator that was not working and after WEEKS and multiple unsuccessful attempts to repair it, CHW refused to replace the unit. They argued that they needed to try yet again. Frustrated and grossly inconvenienced, I told them to just give me the money they would spend to repair it. I used the money to personally buy another. That experience showed how insensitive and uncompassionate customer service reps and management could be.

This is a crook company This is a crook company. They convinced me for accepting contract bay saying that they would do annual check for HVAC system. After signing contract they retracted. On 17th April 2022, I created a claim by phone to fix my heating system. In the morning when I called again to make sure, I was told that a tech has been assigned will come tomorrow. The company claim same day service and in cold time I had to keep my heating system off and the company offer me Tech for next day. I have 8 month old a toddler but they didn't buzz. The tech itself was a crook and asked $100 extra if I want it same day, seriously? They promise sky, but clip your feathers after you give in.

Although they answer your request for service quickly it may be 2-3 days before a repairman will come. After four service calls for the same problem on my refridgerator and four service fees (you pay a service fee even though it is the same problem that wasn’t fixed) it was determined that it needed to be replaced. They didn’t replace it they offered me a monetary stipend toward a new one that was nowhere near what it cost me to replace it. Read the contract carefully, it is worded in their favor when it comes to replacement.

When I file claims, they respond quickly but my issue doesn't always get resolved quickly. The AC repair was usually out within 1 to 3 days but when the oven broke, it took weeks to get a technician. Then the technician couldn't fix it and they only offered me a measly $300 in Lowe's gift cards to replace it. A comparable range was over $900. So after I pay every month and with the house calls, I ended up spending more than if I didn't have this at all.

It took 3 phone calls and an online claim before I could get ahold thru to claims. When I did I couldn't speak to anyone, it was automated. The 4th call, I finally spoke to a supervisor. My appt was a wk out. This is not what I had signed up for. The plumber that came out to replace the disposal was wonderful. That is the reason for the 3 stars, or I probably would have given it 1 star

The company has been reasonable in the past, lots exclusions, but still cover some important repairs. The main complaint is recent renewal, they charged extra sales tax, but without telling me until the last minute. They used to factored all into one single price before. Now compared to last time I renewed, the total costs raised more than 30%. Had I known this earlier, I'd go shopping around first. I'd appreciate if they told me upfront there's such increase - due to pandemic, inflation, lots things become more expensive. I hate it when being told one thing and ending up something very different - no respect for the customer.

The technician was great. CHW is another story. They could not find a tech for my ref so they told me to get one. I did. Had to pay that tech 129$ and CHW will not reimburse the money back. Do not listen to them to find your tech. CHW will not with you. I asked to have a manager call me back. I called 3 times and nobody there would respond!

There are ok. I am a former long time customer of American Home Shield and left them because 1. Their customer service is in the Philippines and they couldn't resolve a issue with my swamp cooler. I joined Choice Home Warranty and have been with them a year and this is the first time I used them. I am little disappointed in the service. It took almost a week for someone to come out and I asked Choice about because I thought it was a 48yr turn around. They basically blew me off and said to contact the company.

Some you can understand and some can't understand me.The person they sent out wouldn't work for crap from my apartment and I'm still dealing with it and I have to hire somebody and now wait to get reimbursed from them. They sent out a plumber that was awful. Didn't bring no tools, didn't they know what was going on.

It took a long time for the service providers to take my claim. The first provider cancelled without even letting me know, the second one was supposed to be out between 11 and 3, at 2 I called and she said she could be here by 3:30 or 4:00, she didn’t get here until 6:30. She did a good job once she was here but it would have been nice for her to get here when she was scheduled.

But be warned - if the technician does something neglectful or damages your appliance so it is unusable - CHW will not take any responsibility or refund the visit charge. Our clothes dryer broke. Choice indicated that parts are no longer available & that replacement of the machine was warranted. We were offered a very low amount of money to replace our dryer. We appealed. We could not get an appointment with a claims representative any earlier than two weeks from the date of contact, a far too long period. When we were finally contacted a slightly larger amount of money was offered. The amount offered would not even over half the cost of purchasing the same, or similar, model. The agent said that regardless of whoever we talked to we would not get additional funds. Furthermore, the agent stated that Choice would not provide any data to us as to how they arrived at the low figure. This whole affair has been undesirable.

Your service people are great they take their time and do the job right. However for speed of the service is terrible . I went 3 days without a hot water heater and a shower. If my son did not know how to turn the water off we would of had a mess that I would have to clean up and a water bill that would have cost me a fortune, let alone all the damage that it could of cost. You need to be able to have a hot line so a customer could get immediate service

The process of starting a claim was easy but completely automated and has no sense of personal customer service. They also only paid roughly half of the total bill. I paid $425 for a $900 bill. When I asked what the breakdown of my charges were, they couldn’t explain other than $75 service call and then $350 of “uncovered charges”. They wouldn’t tell me what the $350 was.
