if I could give this place one stars, I would! The customer service is just nonexistent. If you have questions, there is no way to reach a representative to ask questions if you use the ‘contact us’ and submit your question, no one will ever respond. Your appointments are made with the contractors as vendors, and they know nothing about you and have no way to reach you because usually choice home warranty gives them your number as all nines and they give you an appointment time that they did not confirm with the technician so the technician may never show up or come at a totally completely different time. Such a waste of time and money Experience and there’s nothing I can do about it. I am stuck with a home warranty that is terrible.

My garage door broke on a Saturday afternoon and a tech didn't come out until Friday night - 6 days later. I had to repair my garage door just to get it to close because I didn't want it wide open for almost a week. I can't think of many warranty issues in which you wouldn't need much quicker response time. On top of the delay, Choice was terrible at sending me the correct date and time of service. The garage door company called me early Monday and informed of the appointment time. Choice kept sending me messages listing the wrong dates and time.

The service technician was great. Choice gave us a low ball replacement cost on our washer by falsely claiming our model number capacity was lower than it actually was! I had to find the model online myself and send the case manager a screen shot myself. Then the case manager explained the ridiculous policy of replacement at wholesale costs vs. retail. How can the consumer find a "replacement" without replacement money? To top it off, the amended gift card for my replacement will take 30 days? It cannot take that long for a digital gift card to be emailed. This whole thing is a farce and a way to bully the customer, hold onto the replacement money longer, and it reeks of corporate greed! After my contract I am done with Choice and I will a find a company that seeks to honor their commitment to customer service!

Terrible Emergency Service and Lack of Supervisory Support I recently had a horrible experience with Choice Home Warranty when I filed an emergency claim for a critical issue with my well water pump. Unfortunately, the entire process was an absolute nightmare, and I am compelled to share my negative experience. First and foremost, the most glaring issue was the complete failure of Choice Home Warranty to provide timely assistance. After filing an emergency claim due to a loss of water pressure during freezing temperatures, they still hadn't found a service provider over 24 hours later. This unacceptable delay left my household without water and subjected us to unnecessary inconvenience and discomfort. To add insult to injury, after an agonizing wait, I received an email suggesting that I handle the situation myself and seek reimbursement. However, this supposed solution came with a catch – reimbursement had to be approved. This left me in a frustrating position of uncertainty, wondering whether I would be compensated for the expenses incurred in addressing the emergency. Despite my dissatisfaction, I took it upon myself to find a service provider independently. When I provided Choice Home Warranty with the contact information, they nonchalantly informed me that they may or may not contact them. This lackadaisical approach to a critical situation is inexcusable and reflects a blatant disregard for their customers' urgent needs. Upon expressing my concerns and dissatisfaction, I was informed that Choice Home Warranty does not provide an emergency response and that I should expect a resolution within 24-48 hours. This contradictory stance, coupled with their failure to communicate this information upfront, is indicative of a company that prioritizes bureaucratic processes over customer well-being. When I requested to speak with a supervisor to address the escalating issues, I was informed that a supervisor was not available. The lack of supervisory support only further exemplifies the company's unwillingness to take responsibility for their shortcomings and provide the necessary assistance to distressed customers. Despite having positive experiences in the past, my recent encounter with Choice Home Warranty has left me deeply disappointed and regretful of paying for a year up front on my renewal. The lack of urgency, poor communication, and unavailability of supervisory support during a critical situation have shattered my trust in their ability to deliver reliable and timely service. I strongly advise potential customers to reconsider their choice when it comes to home warranty providers, as my experience with Choice Home Warranty has been nothing short of a disaster.

Good customer service and very responsive. However, the number of claims filed vs the number paid makes it questionable whether it’s a good investment. Currently based on my experience it’s about a 33% success rate while other companies are closer to the 90 percentile range.

1. Long wait times to talk to a representative 2. Can’t understand the representative. They don’t enunciate clearly. They talk too fast, and they don’t speak English very well 3. I reported a leak under my sink on November 10. Got a claim number. Heard nothing from anyone and called back on November 15. Representative said all the company’s that addressed this problem were busy. Finally I got a text that someone would be at my house on Tuesday, November 21. Between 7 am and 11 am. Didn’t give me the name of the company. I was up and dressed waiting at 7 am. No one showed up 4. I called back later that day. Waited a long time. Never got through So, it’s been 9 working days and I still have a leak under my sink .

Its worth it because I am getting too old to repair the stuff myself...denied claims are frustrating though. I claimed a leaking outside faucet and it was approved and repaired, another claim with the exact same type pf faucet (laundry area) was denied. Overall though I am please with the service.

Absolutely the worst experience trying to get things repaired!!!! I had to wait over 2 months for them to finally approve an air conditioner repair and then, they wanted to charge me $1650 for 'upgrades' needed. I spoke with a air conditioner service shop and they said it didn't need 90% of the things listed. The worst part was the constant calling them and them telling me they needed this or that - pictures, documents, blah, blah, blah. My blood pressure was through the roof because of these people. I finally told them to keep their $400 (which is all they would pay). It was worth it to me to go elsewhere for the repair and the moment I did that - I was physically and emotionally good - after 2 months of their insanity. STAY AWAY FROM CHOICE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!

Can’t get someone when it’s urgent to get repair done. I needed garage door spring replaced and had to wait 4 days. At first it was going to be 5 but I called back and they got it t4. I was stuck not being able to get out of garage. Had to cancel one appt and finally getting wait down a day didn’t have to miss second. Reps didn’t seem to care it’s important. Just because it’s not a pipe broken causing a flood. I was disappointed. Haven’t needed any services for awhile then this and wait.

My kitchen sink was clogged up. The technician came and didn't get it fixes, and claiming it was the sewer pipes problems which requires a specialist to take video of the pipe problems. Any your Agent claiming this kind of stoppage is an "Out of ordinary wear & Tear" issues and you will not be responsible for fixing it. This is totally unacceptable.

I have rental property and nine policies with CHW. They never have technicians available in my area so CHW almost always approves for me to use my own. That in itself is fine with me but CHW puts me, and the technicians I hire, through the ringer to get even simple repairs approved and it's an absolute fight to get systems replaced. I will spend hours on the phone for each project and will send my techs out to a property multiple times to gather additional documentation for CHW, dragging out the process for days leaving units without heat, hot water, etc. They have even forced me to put $500 into a 12 yr old water heater instead of replacing it with a new unit that has a 10 yr warranty. That is simply a terrible long-term business decision. Even if CHW approves a system getting replaced, they will use the gray area and fine print of my policies to only cover approximately 70% of the total cost of replacement on say a furnace. Oftentimes they will get gimmicky and offer me waved policy premium fees instead of reimbursement on a covered system which I'm not a fan of. Their resolution managers are a mixed bag. If you get a good one, they will assist you with getting your claim approved. If you get a bad one, they will work against you to get your claim denied. Their is no consistancy.

vendors are normally taking up to a week to show up. one vendor dx air solution only showed up after I called them. They fixed issue and then 20 days later the unit stopped working again. This time after waiting a week for them to show up and calling them twice and leaving voices mails to confirm they were coming, never showed up. i called customer support and indicated I did not want to use that vendor any longer, to get the appt rescheduled and then was assigned that vendor again.

Every claim takes too long to resolve. Minimum 5 days to get a contractor to see the problem and then get approval. I am still trying to get my gas range fixed since August. I was also offered a free service call for renewing. It has conveniently been forgotten. Also, the $65 service fee has been upped to $75. That wasn’t supposed to happen. Last summer, my A/C conked out on Thursday. It was 95 degrees & 95% humidity. Didn’t t get fixed until Tuesday. Same. Thing a few months later. Still hot & humid and broke on Thursday. Same thing was happening so I called my own service guy and got the problem fixed in a couple of hours. Tell me why I need this warranty?

Chouce has been a good company to take care of my appliances . The only drawback is that it takes a lot of time to get things fixed with multiple visits by technicians and gaps between visits. A fix of dishwasher or fridge can take 3 to 4 weeks if not longer.

HOWEVER, after I purchased my plan, I had a salesperson from Choice contact me to try to get me to buy a different plan. He was snippy with me. A few hours later another salesperson contacted me for the same reason. He was also sassy when I said I already had someone call about this. It was very irritating.

The decision was to provide me the money to replace my dishwasher by a Lowe’s E-gift card for $246. I am not sure where $246 came from because even the lowest value dishwasher that does absolutely nothing costs a lot more than $246. We had a beautiful stainless steel top touch digital dishwasher that costs a lot more than that and no one even asked what kind of dishwasher we had, the most they may have had is the brand. I would expect some money to come out of my pocket but not the majority of the costs. Secondly, my offer was a Lowe’s e-gift card so I have no options for anywhere else to shop around so not sure if choice has some sort of relationship with Lowe’s but this completely ties my hands as to where I have to purchase my replacement. Lastly, when I get the offer for the gift card I get an email that says we are so sorry for the inconvenience, we realize how inconvenient it is to be without a major appliance. Well apparently Choice is not too worried about it because when I inquired as to when I would be getting my gift card, I was told it could be 30 days. If we want to discuss inconvenience then look at the 30 days it might take to get my sales tax money, if it’s an e-gift card and it was approved before I received the email, then why is it taking so long. Between this claim and my last claim from this summer, with no resolution, and being treated worse than I have in my entire life I am debating if I am going to wait out the rest of my contract or go ahead and make the switch to a better company and just eat the cost. I am leaning towards just losing the money and switching companies

I am thankful that I recently renewed my home warranty with Choice Home Warranty and that they were able to provide me with the service I needed.

I made a claim for my washer. I said the seal was torn. The first technician from Sears came to the house and investigated. He said the repair was more than the cost of the washer. The Tub has failed causing the problem. He ordered parts and then we waited for Choice to make a decision. The parts were still on order over 30 days later and we could not get any help. "We will send another email to them" 4 or 5 times "We will send another email to them" while we wait for help. Finally OK if you don't want to wait any more we will assign the claim to another company. So we waited until the 2nd company came. The technician said the same thing as the first , "it will cost more to repair than its worth". So the report was submitted to Choice and the claim declined. Why declined? The seal damage is not normal wear and tear, of course not the tub failure caused the seal damage both technician said that. Choice declined it and told me the seal complaint was not normal wear and tear so they are not paying. You must make a new claim and pay another $60 for the tech to say the same thing again. The company assigned called me about the problem and asked about the washer, I explained that the technician was just there and knew what the problem was. She told me they submitted the report, Choice chose to not look at anything but the seal. Then declined the claim. I made a new claim and they are sending me $547 for my washer which now has a replacement cost of about $800. I took the money because I am tired of dealing with a company that caused us so much grief. My warranty expires in December, I have been a customer since 2018 I believe. You won't get anymore of my money. Your handing of this incident has proven to me you are not worth money I work for.

Great experince so far. They saved me money when my Washing machine broke down and Other time when HVAC had proble. I also has some not so good experience with my Fridge repair, the same issue was fixed 4 time and i paid the copay all the times. Overall its peace of mind and i dont need to find technicians by myself.
