You had sent SEars in the past, and he was the absolute worst person in the world... Scheduling MONTHS OUT FOR REPAIR.... then calling on the day he was supposed to come, and canceling. THEN he did it again!!!! after 3 months, I got you to send out someone else and you charged me for another service call...only to find out that it still didn't work. After 5 months the determination was done to chuck it... and you offered me $1081 to replace a unit that was $2700 18 years ago and now $3700. DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT IS JUSTICE??? i SURELY DONT'. This time,you sent out the same SEARS employee and he was great. Followed up and called....so far. The job isn't done. AND you have authorized a $500+ repair on a $1000 machine. something isn't Kosher here.? I don't understand the logic. I just hope it gets repaired. We'll see... I'll come back later with an honest evaluation. Everything is breaking this year.... so I'm hoping you don't cut me off at some point, as I have about 3 years left on my contract with you. Do you have a $$ cut off, or am I covered until my 5 years is done??

I called for a broken gas dryer. The tech contacted me the next day and set up an appt. He arrived at the time agreed upon, evaluated the problem, replaced the part and cleaned up after. The whole thing took 20 minutes. I was very pleased with the whole process.

For a routine repair, the system worked well. However, when our 4-year-old dishwasher died, and two repair visits with spare parts could not fix it, CHW "offered" to replace it. Their first offer was a $246 gift card to Lowes, with which I am supposed to buy a new DW myself. The equivalent model is about $500, and installation with parts is another $200. I could not get an appointment for a telecon for 2 weeks to try and negotiate a better replacement deal. By that time, I will have been without a dishwasher for 4 weeks, after which I may be able to get a replacement, either by CHW or with whatever credit they will offer for me to buy a replacement myself. Totally unacceptable!

I wish I never subscribed to your plan, The salesman who sold me the plan said, if not repairable, I would get equivalent replacements. I have made 3 claims, was given 1/3 of equivalent replacements, basing cost on the lowest common denominator, unequivalent, footing the bill myself for the remainder. What a scam you have going on!! The Case workers fight nastily and won't budge in spite of research that show offers are horribly unequivalent.

I spoke with my case manager Brittany H yesterday about "Replacing my Microwave". Replacing is the words not only she used but are the words in the email I received about my microwave. Therefore I was under the assumption that my choices were to have you guys "replace" it or take the money and buy my own. That is why I scheduled to speak with a case manager so I could understand what you were going to "replace" it with. She kept saying we are offering you the money instead of "replacing" it with any model or color that we choose. We determine the "replacement" based on capacity etc. Hence I was still thinking I had a choice of you "replacing" it with whatever you choose or me buying my own with the money you were offering. So I stated to her, "My options are to take the $191 or have you guys replace it? Will the same company replace it?" Brittany stated to me in a condescending tone, "Mama nobody is going to magically show up at your house with a microwave!" As mentioned above the entire time I thought that was an option. I don't understand why the company chooses the words "replace" in their conversations when the company will not be "replacing" it. I will be replacing my microwave. Choice warranty is only offering to give me money to help "me" replace it.

The response was very quickly. Appointment established the same day for a service person to come by the next day.. The service person was prompt and friendly. He tested the room with the power issue and then checked all the brakes. I had checked the brakes the day before, but he found one that was arcing. Replaced the brake and was done within 30 minutes. Very happy with the process and results.

Furnace went out Friday night/Saturday morning with the temp out side below 20 degrees. At first communication was frustrating as we were continually told it could take up to 24 hours just to get a tech assigned and when they did get one assigned it was for 3 days later. Fortunately after many calls, chat requests and emails they decided to let us use our own tech with the understanding that they would only pay their normal rates. Being the weekend the techs charge an increased rate and we had to pay an extra charge just to get a parts company to open up on a Saturday but at least we were able to get the heat back on within a few hours and we were at least partially reimbursed and still cost much less than if we did not have Choice warranty.

CHW sent a technician out within 48 hours which I thought was good. The Technician discovered it was another problem. CHW set up another TECH to come out however they did not send a contact number with it.. I would recommend CHW.

It's a Great Service to have! The cost for the annual service is reasonable. They are very busy with customers as the past two times I've had to use their automated phone service to schedule my appointments. Most of their contractors will get back to you within 48 hours to set up an appointment to deal with your issue. The service fee is way less than paying a contractor on your own.

I was not pleased with my latest claim. I submitted a claim for my garage door opener and had to pay $299.00 out of pocket for springs. I was told by a Choice representative that the parts would be covered but once they spoke with the technician they changed their stance and said only one spring would be covered because Choice does not cover the second spring due to it being preventive measures. The second spring had to be replaced because the technician said it would break after the first spring was replaced. I have paid for the Gold program (in full) and this is not the service I expected from the home warranty.

I am old school with customer service. When a customer needs service with a problem, it is always better to deal with a customer service person that can answer your questions and get your issue resolved. As it stand's my problem is still not resolved. Service tech was pleasant and knowledged with his work. But he made a mistake and the problem got bigger over night. unfortunately it is the weekend and you can't get service. As it stands we now have no hot water and a flood in the basement.

The problem I have with CHW is the two times I have reported a claim, it was an out of town contractor. They only come to this area once a week. So, whatever they found out was wrong I had to wait another week before they returned to this area to fix the problem. I could have gotten someone myself and had the problem fixed the same day. I don't understand why CHW don't contract more locally. Is CHW not satisfied with the local contractors or are the local contractors not wanting to do business with CHW. I don't know!!

Only have had one disappointing claim experience but it was resolved. Choice is heads above other Home Warranty companies I have used and been happily surprised at the availability of good techs in the tough Colorado job market! Keep up the great sork CHW!
