I think they're almost illegitimate. I have a problem with my air conditioning. We thought it was probably the thermostat. It took five days for them to come out and look at it. The individual said that the only thing that he had authorization on was the thermostat and that he could look at the rest of the system at all unless you repost the claim.

When I used the warranty, I spoke to one of the representatives and they said it was covered and when the first person came here he didn't do much of anything. He was looking for other stuff, not to fix the problem I have and I was told that the part was not covered.

To replace the microwave they sent someone out. The contractor said it was two issues and it needed to be replaced and they gave me $190.00 and it was 400 and some dollars. When I complained about it they upped to $250.

I used my warranty for my dryer which was repaired. I also tried to use my warranty for my dishwasher that was not repaired and they did not want to cover it. It should have been covered and they basically just did nothing.

I would give a no star review but that wasn’t an option! So many things wrong with Choice….WAY TOO MANY sales emails, push, Too hard to speak to customer service live person!!! Too expensive with no providers that take this plan, and when you ask for surveys on the claims we have completed your computer system will NOT take the surveys!!! To just name a few, BUT I know none of this matters to you and nothing will come of this survey

This last guy you sent me damaged my water heater putting me to spend one thousand dollars to correct the problems. Their tech caused $21,000 in damage which I had to repair through my homeowners insurance which will now incur a rate increase as well as costing me $500 in deductible. Really hard to get a person assigned to your claim. When it is assigned they give you an appointment date and time without asking preference, then you have to reschedule and it takes longer..assuming they even show up!. I have had this company for a home warrenty at my previous house as well and this seems to be their normal customer service. It's awful.

Nothing has worked. Currently being made to wait on a part for AC that was back ordered. When I called someone else to look at it they got my AC working after I have been sweltering for two weeks. I am still waiting on the part with no time line. Tried to reach out to a manager but many times I can’t even get thru. So far this warranty is useless.

Dishwasher...2 contractors respond, can not be fixed or repaired. New dishwasher $890. Choice Home Warranty payment...$250. Then, I had to fight with them, saying I did not complete their online form, for which I did. Their business is to take your money and reward you with pennies on the dollar

Either their claim settlement system is broken, or they intentionally make it very difficult to resolve even the smallest service claim in a timely manner. To say that the communication between the claims center and the vendors that they use is lacking would be a huge understatement. I had to follow up with both choice customer service and the vendor back and forth at least 6 times over a 7 day period. I finally had to demand to speak with a manager to get the communication issue resolved.

Submitted claim to repair my refrigerator/freezer pm May 11, 23 accepted a settlement of $494 in form of Lowes Gift Card to be sent within 30 days. As of July 5, 23, I have not received gift card. I do not intend to buy from Lowes as a local home furnishing store has better selection, prices, delivery and installation and financing term i.e 24 months no interest. I do not understand why Choice Home Warrant (CHW) wants to force me to buy from a business that I never show from. I will never recommend CHW to anyone for warranty coverage.

I have not had use of my refrigerator since June 12th, which is exactly 3 weeks. Choice Home Warranty has done a miserable, unprofessional and terrible job on getting my refrigerator fixed....and it is still not working and the part will not be received until another 2 or 3 or 4 days.....and then an appointment has to be made in order for the technician to come and replace the LG refrigerator's compressor. This screw up is simply unacceptable and I should be awarded 1 year of free service from Choice Home Warranty. Francine B.

We've never gotten good customer support. Our freezer went out and the person came out to look at it. Luckily they repaired it right then because in Choice said that it was a manufacturer defect and wouldn't cover it even though the manufacturer said it wasn't a defect. We will not be renewing Home Warranty.

Another day dealing with CHW claims managers. They continue to make up any reasoning not to move the claim forward. I was told to upload documents in one section, get confirmation for manager that it is good and will be looked at in the morning. I call back in the morning just to be told I have to upload documents in another section and once it is received it would take four hours to review. CHW continues to prove they do not hold their customer’s interests in high regard. It is my opinion that this company is the worst at every aspect of their business.

Issues are not resolved on the first visit, technicians break parts and another visit from another company is set up and i have to pay the 'initial' visit again and it is not resolved at this time. I have had the toughest time trying to get the work done and to ever get reimbursed. I finally got tired of waiting for approval to have my two plumbing issues fixed. After waiting 6 weeks, I got verbal approval to pick my own plumber and I was to receive reimbursement. I have been told one check has been mailed, but I never received it. So far I have paid for a service that has not benefitted me in any way.
