My microwave was making a strange sound ...I made a claim online in the evening and a few hours later I was contacted by a local appliance vendor who made an appointment the very next day..it turned out to be the motor that turns the plate.. my microwave is 20 years old but the technician found a supplier who has the part.

This was my first warranty use and I called about my garage door not rising. Was told they would find a repair company and I would receive an email. The email came and listed an appointment on Tuesday afternoon. This was Saturday and I couldn’t get my car out of the garage. I work, I couldn’t wait that long. I ended up calling the company they supposedly contacted and was told that Choice didn’t confirm the appointment time with them and they couldn’t accommodate it. So I called Choice back and they actually called the company this time and we’re able to schedule a new appointment for early on Monday. That worked better.

My first experience with Choice Home Warranty is not a good one. The first technician receives a total failure, in my opinion. I requested service for a refrigerator (leaking inside) on Aug 6, 2021. On Aug 8, 2021 a tech showed up for the service. He evaluated and determined that the water tank was cracked and needed to be replaced. He would request approval from CHW. That tech, from MU Appliances, never came back to complete the repair. After several calls to the tech, who offered excuses (i.e., still waiting for approval, finally received approval, he got sick, then, CHW did not approve) I contacted CHW directly in October. I am told by the customer service agent that I need to pay the service fee again. CHW did not care that the service was never completed. The tech from MU Appliances actually submitted a 'completed' ticket to CHW and was paid for the incomplete service. I ended up paying up the second service fee and was satisfied with the second technician, from HM Appliances, who came and actually fixed my refrigerator. This tech was excellent. I paid for a 5-year service contract and I question my decision to do so. It seems completely unfair to have to pay twice for the same service. CHW advises customers to contact the service company with any issues. My advice is to contact CHW if an issues arises.

Once upon a time I was recommending Choice to all my friends and family. Recently, I have had nothing but problems in trying to get my claims resolved or serviced. I cannot in good conscience recommend Choice any longer. I gave it 3 stars because a few years ago, they were outstanding. I don't know what shifted with your company, but you need to go back to the "good old days" of customer service. Just recently, I put in a claim for light fixtures on Oct 4, and after many problems with getting the claim recognized as legitimate, the vendor was denied and was reassigned to someone who never showed up. It's been reassigned again for Oct 25th, so we will see. On another claim, my AC repairman called to replace covered parts, and they told him they couldn't find him in the system! After about 40 min of wasting his and my time, and going through 3 different representatives, they finally found him and recognized that they had been a very active vendor for Choice for years. It has been very frustrating dealing with the indescribably poor customer service to say the least. I am so disappointed since they once were such a great company:(

I was satisfied with all aspects of my last claim -online claim process, scheduling, reminders, technician, outcome of the repair, except was frustrated to find an extra charge above the service call. It seems since the parts required were compliments of the manufactures warranty, there was a shipment/processing fee passed on to me! Despite the fact that CHW didn’t have to pay for the $975 part, they would not cover the $75 shipping charge. I had to pay it to keep the nice technician from having to eat it! Not impressive. NOT IMPRESSIVE.!

When my electricity kept going out and I had to go outside and flip the breaker for a week and then multiple times in one day for no apparent reason, the agent on the phone understood the problem. An appointment was quickly made and an electrician came to my house. A new breaker will soon be installed. Everything has gone so smoothly!

HAD A REFRIGERATOR DIE IN THE FIRST WEEK. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE TIME BEFORE A TECHNICIAN ARRIVED. THE TECHNICIAN WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EFFICIENT. RECOGNIZED EARLY THAT THE REFRIGERANT SYSTEM WAS DESTROYED AND THE UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. CHOICE ELECTED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE REFRIGERATOR. THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT THEY OFFERED AND WHAT IT WOULD TAKE TO BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR. I WAS ASSIGNED TO A TEAM TO WORK OUT A SETTLEMENT. I MOVED INTO A NEWLY PURCHASED HOUSE ON SEPTEMBER 23 AND MY FIRST CONVERSATION WITH THE 'WORKOUT TEAM' WAS OCTOBER 5TH! MY RENTAL COSTS FOR ANOTHER DOMICILE EXCEEDED THEIR FIRST PAYMENT OFFER WHICH IS WHY A WORKOUT WAS NEEDED. ON OCTOBER 5TH I SETTLED FOR AN AMOUNT NEARLY THREE TIMES THE INITIAL OFFER BUT I STILL AM SHORT SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS BECAUSE OF THE DELAY IN WORKOUT. IF SOMEONE HAD OFFERED THE SETTLEMENT FIGURE AT DAY ONE I WOULD CHALK UP MY LOSSES TO BAD LUCK, BUT THE DELAY CAUSED MOST OF MY ADDED COSTS. KUDOS FOR EFFICIENT OPERATIONS AND GOOD REPAIR NETWORKS BUT IT IS A FAILING GRADE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I was very happy with the service and the service man that came. He was very courteous, and friendly. Came 1 day early because he was in the area. Took the air conditioner apart and replaced a part and then on his way. Quick and efficient. The only complaint I can think of is that it took almost 2 weeks to get a repairmen here. But, CHW gave me a chance to call a repairman myself and get reimbursement. I checked it out and all the repairmen in my area were also very busy. SO I just waited. Becky

After the first contractor to fix my A/C thermostat issue never showed up for the second time, Choice found another contractor who arrived the same day. My issue was quickly assessed and a needed part was in the contractors truck. Within an hour, the part was replaced, I paid my $65 service fee and everything was working again. I would use the contractor again

I get top quality technicians to handle my repairs. Choice seems to prefer the buy-out option to replacing an item. My experience has been that the buy-out amount falls significantly below what I have to pay for the replacement. I am currently having difficulty getting a dishwasher repaired. I have been waiting more than a month for the technician to return with a part to complete a repair. There seem to be some difficulty getting the part.

The technicians that come to my house have been a mix of wonderful and terrible. the WeFIX IT company and Mike D were wonderful. Chris B and Michael A were terrible. The case managers seemed mediocre to terrible. One exception was Lydia C. The system of having to log into the website and having to wait for case manager to call, even with appointments is so time consuming and can make the smallest issue into a large one. Ms. C was kind enough to email me directly and accept calls in a timely manner so in her case this was not the case. She also explained how the contract works something the other case managers did not. But in addition the contract itself is misleading. Replacement of appliances is in essence not a replacement but a contribution toward replacement because the money given does not allow you to replace even if you accept any brand or color.

We have had two open claims just under a month now with NO resolution, no follow up on Scheduled appointment, hung up on three times, told by several written communications and once by a "manager" that someone would be calling us... HASN'T HAPPENED!!!!! We now want Out of our contract as they have breached it! Very Dissatisfied Paying Customer! Learn from our mistake!

Disposal went out Thursday morning. Set up a claim and appointment within an hour. Plumbers came 2 hours later and replaced the Disposal with a new one. Pretty impressive considering this happened on December 23, 2 days before Christmas. Pretty hard to beat that customer service.

They are quick to set up appointments to help you get your appliances back running. Only problem is if u need a part you May be waiting 2 weeks, than u have to reschedule Choice Home Warranty to send out another technician to install the part. So in the interim your appliance still has issues, there should be a better way to get the parts needed..

My service technician called to let me know the time of his arrival and was on time. He diagnosed the problem but did not have the part on hand to effect the repair. I have been informed that in approximately 1 1/2 weeks from the visit a follow up visit will be made to make the repair and return the unit to proper operation. I am a little disappointed at the time required to acquire the part but understand the impact of C-19 on all business now a days. Tech Terrant Mechanical was excellent by the way!

This was my 1st time having a problem with Choice. I called about my air conditioning not working and you all put a request in for 2 technicians. Neither one could come. So we did have any cool air in my house for 3 days. So I was very upset when I talked to the representative. She didn't give no other choices. She just said I have to wait to 48 hrs before another technician email me. I had already waited 3 days. So I told her that I was going to close my account. She told me that was my choice. She didn't try to convince me to stay and tell me that it was other options. So I call back and told the next representative and she transferred me to the right office and the lady said I can get my own which I already did and she sent me the reimbursement form. Now Mr B said you told him that's not choice amount. The $60 dollars are included in his amount plus he had to buy a brand new blower and put it in plus his labor. So you need to reimburse me $255. I PAID him $315.
