I spoke with someone by the name of Lydia C. At first, her conversation was pleasant but then it change. I receive an e-mail stating that I had a single-door refrigerator. No,! I own a DOUBLE GE Profile with a water and ice dispenser. The dollar amount to replace my unit was well below what I presume it be. She stated that was not within their guidelines! I informed her that I had paid up my contract till the year 2023. Yes, she was aware of that but that's what the guidelines are, and she could not change the figure. I said I am thinking about canceling my contract. Again she stated that Choice was the best home warranty and she went on to say if I cancel my contract it would cost me. Furthermore, she compares my air conditioner costing me about $8000.00 dollars if it breaks down. Finally, I was informed that I would be receiving the money within 10-15 days. Now I receive another e-mail stating I should be receiving money within 30 days. George Forman states how Choice takes care of their customer in a timely manner. what going on? This whole venture started on Aug. 26, 2021. It will probably be the middle of September before I get my refridgertor.

With a city this large Choice Home Warranty should have more contractors on board. Sometimes it take one(1) to two (2) weeks before you can get a warranty job completed. Some of the Your Home Service Agreements contradicts the agreement. A. Coverage then there D. Coverage (COVERAGE DEPENDANT ON PLAN 8. PLUMBING SYSTEM/STOPPAGE (Platinum Plan & Gold Plan) obviously, I have one of these plans, gold or platinum, platinum or gold?

The technician that came to our house was really kind, thoughtful and thorough. They even called ahead of time to let us know that they weren’t going to make it in the timeframe that was emailed to us. They gave us constructive feedback as to what they thought the problem was when it turned out that it wasn’t a plumbing problem.

Reported that a fix was not really fixed and required re visit. Wrote this in comments on the request and said that I did not expect a $75 service charge for this third visit for the same issue. Waited 9 days for a service call. At 3:17 in the morning of service call date I received an email saying there would be a $75 service charge. When I saw the email at 10a I called 4 hours before scheduled appointment and was first told that there was not enough time to change the charge. When I told the representative that there was 9 days for a human being to read my comments and fix this, he got a supervisor involved and I was not charged. Why bother having a comments section on the request if no one is going to read it? and why didn’t’ someone reach out to me about this before the service call date. It was corrected but, This inattention to detail caused me anxiety and necessitated me taking action and using some pretty strong language to get the charge changed. I was first told I would be charged and I could request reimbursement! That’s ridiculous! Have. Human check these requests!

For this instance, I had extremely fast service and the technician took care of me on the first visit. But my 3 star rating is for Choice overall. The price for the warranty is fair. However, Choice has denied to pay valid claims. One was on my washing machine. They said the technician claimed I had abused the machine, but CHW refused to let me see any paperwork indicating this. I didn't believe them, but had no way to force the issue. At this time, I signed up for the AZ class action suit against CHW. When I made a claim on my A/C, they denied the claim saying they could see rust in a picture of my condenser. The tech fought for me saying that the condenser is aluminum and doesn't rust, and that the rust in the picture came from the bracket holding my condenser in place.

My in-laws use them in Florida so I know they are a 5 star company. On their website they offered me one year but I emailed them and they called me and offered a 5 year (+ one free year) at a discounted rate which saved me money. The person who called was really friendly and went out of his way to find me the best deal.

My first experience with Choice home. M refrigerator went out I lost more than $150 dollars of food. Choice told me that I would have to wait a whole month to get the replacement money for a another fridge I feel like I should not have to wait a month to get a replacement. Now I had to throw out the other stuff in my fridge and eat out for hole month which will be costing me extra money. What if it had been my air conditioner and hot as it is would have to wit whole for it also. This is the only thing that i do not agree with your company

Within less than 48 hours I had my electrical circuit breaker issue taken care of. Choice Home Warranty found the company and from there everything was done just from one phone call. Response to clients requests are prompt without delay. Technicians selected by CHW and assigned to jobs are professional and experienced. Apart from the appearance fee charged by the technicians no other payment is made. Indeed, CHW is dependable and the best.

I am not the owner of the CHW policy, but I live in this house and was here when the plumber arrived. While he was still on my front porch, he said,”You made a mistake, you shouldn’t have painted this concrete floor.” (He is a plumber, not a painter and I hadn’t asked for his advice.”) As we walked down the hall, he asked, in an arrogant voice, “How long have you lived here anyway?” As a plumber, I thought his work was well done, but I would not ask him to come to my house again. The claim was handled satisfactorily and I have no problems with the CHW company.

I got the policy in 2021. So far it has been well worth the money. I'm not a DIY person and the coverage gives me peace of mind should something in the house go wrong. I have been impressed as to how quickly claims are responded to. I have had issues with very long wait times when I try to call in and not getting a return call when I use that option. That said, I'm pretty satisfied at this point.

I had AC unit and condenser installed by Choice Home Warranty assigned HVAC company in 2023. In 2024 spent $60.00 for Choice Home Warranty assigned HVAC company to report that AC fault was that 2023 installers did not connect a necessary wire. Choice notified of issue and wire connected. I contacted Choice for assistance in recovery of $60.00 fee paid in 2024 to remedy the negligent installation of AC in 2023. Choice provided no assistance to me to obtain reimbursement under warranty of negligent work done by HVAC company in 2023. Key point is that Choice customer had no recourse except to accept the cost of negligent workmanship not the dollar amount. at issue.

I was with Amer Home Shield before and switched to Choice. I love the fact that the service is scheduled asap and I pay the tech that comes out. AHS would have you pay online, wait for the payment to clear, and the n schedule svc - this added days onto the call that didn't need to be.

I have no problem with choice warranty with their technicians. However I pay monthly payments for the service and I was glad that they grandfathered me in at the prices and the rates that I pay. However, what I don’t like is two times that I’ve had claims for the same problem two years apart they can’t seem to allow the technicians to go one step further to fix the problem saying it’s not covered and I’m not agreeing with that. All they did is put a Band-Aid on it for now.I had to put in a claim I don’t have the time to debate this. It’s not because I don’t want to because I have a husband and a daughter in the hospital with serious conditions so I just don’t need the extra aggravation. The technicians were great.

Pretty much hassle free. After starting my appliance repair claim online it took a few hours to have a local repair company assigned. However, I don't believe they vet the company's in their selection pool. The company I was assigned had a 3-star rating. However, the scheduler kept me in the loop every step of the way. They even have a technician tracking feature attached to the text message, which I thought as a customer was excellent. My repair requires parts to be ordered which Choice sent me a text about. A second appointment is required

Choice is great with prompt service tech response and I've appreciated the good technicians that arrive. I know having Choice warranty has saved me money on service calls and the hasle of getting someone to come promptly. Things get fixed very quickly. Most techs have repaired my problems not replaced. However, when a major system has failed Choice has not offer a decent amount of money to replace. I recieved no funds when a 12 yr old AC unit wore out (as rust on coil is the usual AC quoted reason even thought he compressor was on it's way out.) My refrigerator is wearing out and I've been given $500 towards replacing $4,000 fridge. I'm now waiting to hear outcome on my next AC problem. One Compressor is only 7 yrs old and on the way out. Choice is great as repairing rather than replacing is important, and as long as you don't expect a big lump sum pay out for one large item. If you have lots of small problems over a long period of time you'll eventually get your moneys worth.

The technician came out the next day after submitting the claim. We waited four days till we heard back that our claim was approved. Unfortunately the weekend was in those four days. We are looking forward to getting our Central Air Conditioning back on. It has been in the 90’s in Northeast Tennessee.

I was able to submit a repair request via my website account. It generated a computer response with the procedure that was to follow. I received a appointment within 12 hours. The technician came out and examine the system and found the problem right away. It took him about an hour to fix the problem. Very simple and easy!

The company is responsive to inquiring emails and phone calls, but it took over 14 days to get a technician to my home to fix the air conditioner. This was during the hottest days on record (117degrees). Recognizing this is a very busy time of year, but why is it most of the air conditioning companies I contacted myself, don't want to work with home warranty companies because they have to wait too long to get paid and too much paperwork. Thus, the innocent customer becomes the victim of terrible customer service as no technician responds. Fortunately Integrity Air, that finally came out, was fantastic!!!

Choice listen to my problem with a nightmare service call with MP electric group. Mario the owner is a scam he makes money from both the customers and choice home warranty. And does not return to address the problems he leaves behind. My boiler did not work it continued having the same issue, neither did the circuit breakers he claimed to have fixed for a separate charge to me.

I have not gotten any service yet which may push me up to 5 stars. I am at 4 stars now because of the phone system. The automated assistant is not very efficient. When you try to get to a living person the system claims to be transferring you but just puts you back in the same loop which leads back to "automated lady". That is just wrong, if there is no live person available then that is what should be said. The online method is very smooth however. We will see how the service is...

I called Choice Home Warranty because my freezer section in my refrigerator wasn't working. Within 48 hours, a very knowledgeable technician was able to diagnose and fix the problem. We were very happy! My only complaint is that I was told that I would receive a call to schedule the appointment, and I happened to see the email with the appt info, I never received a phone call.
