My refrigerator freezer wasn't working properly. CHW contracted a specialist to determine what was the problem. He came in, pulled the refrigerator with my help. Looked at it, measured the temperature in the freezer and said it was inadequate, which I already knew. Told me he was leaving , collected $85 from me then he left. I thought he was coming back. Never returned so I had to push the refrigerator in. I would like to apply for his job. Come in collect $85 and leave. I am totally disappointed in CHW.

Have to fight for every penny on a claim as so often a claim is denied, and it takes several days for someone to come out to look at what is broken. We had a fan in the squirrel cage to go off balance and it was ruined. This was caused by something in the motor and guess what they would not pay because it wasn't a normal wear and tear! Quick to deny claims, horrible to work with (dispatching and the whole process drags), requires many follow-ups, and the "appeal" process is a joke. Example: pipe burst under foundation is covered... but not really, since it's a pre-existing condition (galvanized pipe put in the ground 60 years age), dishwasher "too nee to break." Why even pretend that it's covered... look elsewhere.

This warranty is garbage!!! To much fine print. They pay for what they want to pay for. The amount they pay does not cover cost of repairs. My a/c went out and I had to pay over $6000.00 for the repair. choice home warranty could not explain the amount they gave me toward this repair. They pulled a number out of a hat and said this is all we pay. My outside faucet was leaking and had to be replaced ( not covered) Plumber choise home warranty sent out wanted to charge me $1200 to fix it. I had a local plumber fix it for $125.

I have been with choice for many years now. Choice offers good value, but do not provide it. The contractors they have are horrible. They accept the claim and then keep rescheduling no fault of the customer, and then say that the part isn't covered with Choice, leaving you to pay a ridiculous out of pocket amount. Then when you call Choice, they are rude and dismissive, and say no, the part isn't covered, but if you look at your policy, it should be covered. They are a Crappy company, and I would HIGHLY suggest going with another company!!

Because there isn't anything lower listed. When you have a claim that goes to replacement they will not pay a reasonable amount. They screw the Cust over and give them the lowest amount for replacement they can. Had a top rated dishwasher go out. Beat of the best. All I recd was a little over $100. After my contract is up I won't renew. Worst home warranty company I've ever dealt with. First American way fairer on replacements

I needed service on my AC unit during a triple digit heat wave. Choice had no one available to respond and suggested I use the option to contact someone. So I did. The moon contact provider was not going to fill out the form for my reimbursement, he had more people to see. Luckily it was not too expensive this time. Never do that again. And customer service reps barely understood English and were no help.

The way some of the little underwriting is written the company will never replace your big units because they have catch 22s in there clauses. My AC coil had a leak but because it required r22 which is being phased out and it's so expensive they wouldn't replace the unit. If certain parts are broken they won't fix your units. It's a scam. Then they want additional service fees for the same items from the same call.

You all harass people. Endless calls and e-mail. You auto opt me in to a renewal. I opted out and a couple days later I received the same email saying your opting me in again. Such a waste of time. Your folks called every day and when I asked them to stop they were so rude and someone else called the next day. If it wasn't for these tactics and you left me alone we would have renewed with you all.

I am sure it will not change anything but I have to share how you were before and now. Before, Choice Home Warranty was honoring the contract between them and their client. When you have to repair or replace something, you were looking to the equivalent of the equipment. Today, you give the minimum yo can by saying that the contract gives yo this right which I never received the copy of the contract or see before acknowledging the purchase. With that contract, you pay $191 for a microwave that the cost of replacement is $359 + labor + delivery. You became a Scam.

It's a lot of argument and a lot of fighting to get anything done. Terrible service. They don't want to fix the source of the problem, just the evidence of it. Instead of replacing a part the just fix the damage that was caused by it until it happnes again.

I just had a claim denied on my electrical system because they don't cover the basic seven electrical system. I have eight outlets that do not work in my house. It'll probably cost close to a thousand dollars to fix it myself because they refused. Another time I was without air for three days and over a hundred degree temperatures in home because they wouldn't come out sooner

You can never get a hold of a live person, you have to do everything through email. You know you can't explain yourself or talk to anybody. For one repair they gave me the option to find my own company and get reimbursed and then when I did that they didn't want to pay for it because they said that it wasn't approved.
