I had a air-conditioning repair person that did an excellent job I told a friend that also has choice home warranty which I recommended them to buy about this air conditioning person when there was a problem unfortunately they requested that person and they got someone else because choice does not take requests

Service speed is terrible, it's hard to reach a person by phone for service needs. Technicians hired aren't even searchable if licensed and can't complete work needed. Still had to pay another company to come out.

because this warranty came with the selling of this home. was told all i would ever have to pay was a 65.00 service call.i had to pay 400.00 dollars to get my hot water heater. my friend has a different warranty company and her fridge went out, all she paid was a 75.00 service call, nothing else. not happy with choice warrenty

I have not seen the benefits of being a Choice customer. When it was time for an actual needed repair, I have to pay $2400 out of pocket for there placement coils, other materials and labor. Not seeing the value considering what I have to pay to renew and the service charge for maintenance.

I have to wait a possible month to receive the e-card to Lowes that was offered to me for my refrigerator. I wasn't even offered a check instead of the e-card. It has been since June 16 and I still haven't received anything. I am using coolers and buy ice daily, which is costly.

I had an issue with my ducktwork in my house. it says in the warranty it is covered. We bought the house in 9-2020 and tried to file a claim in 2021. We were told it was a pre existing problem and they would not cover it. we had a home inspection before we bought and was told nothing of any issues.

I would give them a zero if I could. The first call was a 5 and went great. This call was supposed to be taken care of four days ago. We notified Choice that nothing had been done even though came by, inspected the job and was paid and promised to return in two days at 1:00pm. Calls not returned. No contact from Choice Home Warranty. Still waiting for a call, message and repair - no response from anyone.

Not a good warranty company, microwave went out they didn't replace only gave something towards a new one. Central air went out they sent out a company but when the company sent photos for repair approval they gave them such a hard time that they didn't even want to work with this company anymore they never found me another technician but gave me the option to find my own then when the technician found sends in required documentation we called to get status of claim and are basically told they are not going to cover or reimburse the cost.. piss poor service

I filed a claim for my AC unit and the tech came out and diagnosed the blower motor was out. CHW denied claim saying that motor was still covered under manufacture warranty. The tech, the company that installed the unit and the manufacturer confirmed the only had a 5 year warranty and the unit was 7 1/2 years old. They gave me all kinds of excuses to buy time in the hot Texas heat until I finally bought the motor and repaired unit myself. I paid up front for 3 years ( around $1100.00) with promises of what a great company they are

your customer service is terrible. you also approved some work on my electrical system that I expected to at least be reimbursed some of it. you said my reimbursement would be $138. That didn't even cover the diagnosis.. it took over 1 month to get approval for my work to be approved . If I could rate Choice Home Warranty less than 1 star if any.

If 0 stars was an option...that's where I would rank them. Non-responsive & continue to have excuses when they're unable to schedule a provider for a warranty claim. Customer service is ludicrous and elevating an issue is practically impossible -- and when successful, it results in the same 'call center' standard script answers...no one is able to actually do anything at the customer service level.

Just had a person come out to check a waterheater he replaced a thermocoupler and said we would be good until we could order a new unit. When my daughter came home from work later that day the house was full of natural gas and the pilot was out on the water heater. Have reached out to the provider and to choice warranty since Friday and have gotten no reply. This afternoon after waiting on hold for 35 minutes the provider informed me that they are waiting on you to ok the order. This could have ended in tragedy.. I think the communication from choice has been abysmal.

I don't understand the purpose of paying a lot a month and then have to pay $85 for a service charge. Also you're only allowed to make one request in a 39 day period. Sometimes things breakdown at the same time which causes you to decide which is more important!!! Just stupid!!!! Then if they send someone out to fix it and it still doesn't work then that's another $85. Ripoff

In the instances where no company has picked up the work from the portal - our experience has been that no company is willing to go onto your portal to complete the information you want in order for us to get reimbursed.

Choice Home Warranty assigned a regrigerator repair person through Sears Home Services. The service person behaved in an unethical manner during his repair. I contacted Choice Home Warranty twice to make a complaint and request follow up remediation. This took place on May 31st, and to date, we have received no reply to our repeated requests by telephone and in writing! No concern for the well-being of its customers!!!!

Lack of communication between contractor, CHW, and home owner. There was no notification that the repair was authorized, so we were waiting. Then we were told CHW was only going to cover $150 of a $700 repair. The AC company said this was based on a phone call and there was no documentation. Additionally, this is replacing a component that is broken and does not require additional modifications.

Had this policy for years...First time I ever tried to use it, terribly long delays in getting someone out here, argumentative customer service reps. THEN they didn't want to pay for anything. Denied a claim for my my microwave which broke. The microwave was 28 years old. The denial was " you must of abused it". The technician who came out to fix it was shocked. So I paid the $65 tech fee for nothing. But two days later my toilet broke and they did fix that with the $65 service fee.
