Submitted a claim for our AC. CHW wouldn’t replace just the part that needed to be replaced. They said the whole system needed to be changed. It would have cost us several thousands of dollars. We got our AC fixed by other means, it’s working fine. Thinking seriously about changing our home warranty policy with CHW and going with another provider.

When I first made the claim was very happy at how easy it was to create and how friendly the persons were. I, however, was able to reset the breaker myself and thereby resolving the issue. I got back in touch with the warranty company and cancelled the request. But it started to act up again and I made a second request and that has been a nightmare. All I got then was word salad saying it had been marked as resolved and I got the impression that was the end of it. No service company has contacted me since then, although I continue having issues that I have to figure a work around for as I don't feel they will bother with me again.

Choice Warranty has been very responsive to all my various service requests . Only concern. CW needs to be little quicker in letting the customer know the results, of the finding of any service tech, that performs a service call and parts, needing to be ordered to fix the issue, needing repairs. Other then that, have no issues with CW.

Communication can be a bit confusing phone call text msgs e mails. I prefer 1 sorce of communication. The tech was knowledgeable and to the point. It took 2 house calls and numerous calls to get my ice maker repaired after 1 month of down time it appears the ice dispenser is working. Shout out to Robert.

In all honesty , I haven’t had them very long but, so far, I am not impressed. It is very difficult to get in touch with a real person who is usually very difficult to understand. In general, the response times from the contractors has been way too long, sometimes up to as much as five days. The contractors I’ve dealt with have been, with one exception, sub-par. On one occasion, I was charged an extra $450 because of some minuscule fine print in an unrelated part of the contract. I must say, even though I eventually fired my previous Home Warranty company, that never happened with them. I really had no choice but to pay since it involved a water leak. Overall, I am having second thoughts about Choice home warranty.

The technician was not friendly, he was almost rude. He did additional damage to my washer that was not damaged before. He said he had to order parts for the washer. A week later he came back with the new parts and installed them. After he left I tried to use the washer and it would operate the way it used to. You have to restart it several times before it would get enough water to wash a load of clothes. and it stops after the first spin cycle. You have to open the washer door for approximately a minute and after you close it it completes the last spin cycle

Last Sommer I had issues with my AC. We had record heat. I waited 3 weeks, they couldn’t find nobody that was willing to work with them. Ended up paying it myself and they paid me back. This time it was my garage door opener and had no problems. It was done in 4 days.

My garage door spring broke. Called choice and they sent a guy out to fix it. It took 2 days but that was no big deal. I handed the guy my deductible and he fixed it and left. So easy. I bought a 3 year membership to choice.

I have no issues per se, but the repair person we were assigned was/is very unorganized. My first appointment was June 4, then June 8 and I received a call a few days ago setting it for June 14. When I explained that this was the 3rd time, they changed it back to the 8th, we will see..

I love being able to call and get things fixed! I’m NOT a fan of the Plumber sent out to fix a problem! Made it worse, said it was fixed and cost me $2800! There were several issues in the contract never discussed when we signed up for the protection plan! Not sure if we’ll renew it!

Choice has been great. My complaint is with Lancelot's tech, Tom. He informed me that it was written in the contract fine print I would have to pay him $600 to replace the water heater should it need to be in the future. I called Choice and was told this is not accurate. I feel like I would be scammed by Tom if the water heater were to be replaced.

Takes too long to get a technician out every time I’ve had to do a claim. Usually have to wait anywhere from 3-5 days just to get someone to come out. Hard not having Air Conditioniner or working washer dryer for that long. Then they come out and usually say it will be between 5-7 days before the parts come in. So ur without ur household working items from 1-2 weeks. Wish they got out faster.

Policy states it covers ductwork and I pay additional for roofrepairs. Choice denied my claim to repair a roof leak and recently denied a claim to repair/replace ductwork damaged from normal wear and tear: stating it wasn't normal wear, which it definitely was do to age and normal wear from condensation of the HVAC unit itself.

I like that I don't have to worry about unexpected excessive costs when an appliance stops working as expected. I would rate a 5 if the response time for the contractors was shorter and replacements were comparable to your existing appliance instead of builder grade.

I have been a member of CHW since 10 years. The services I have received from CHW have been fair. When reporting an issue (problem) with appliances, the diagnosis of the tech. sent is of primary importance so as to proceed. Microwave bulb which was to be replaced was attended by an electrician who messed the repair by damaging. Since then the m-wave has been irreparably damaged.

This company has been great as far as fixing repair issues when they arise. When it comes to replacing an appliance it’s a different story. Your choice is to take the minimum amount offered and that’s it. They will give you a third of what a new one would cost retail based on their numbers and can’t replace it their selves for that price and drag the process out as long as possible.

Claim made 4/10/24, repair tech reviewed and ordered parts. Parts received 4/19/24. No return contact or appointment to return repair refrigerator. Called several times to ask for resolve was told message would be sent to repair tech. Still no appointment or call back. Called again was put on a call back cue but no call back. Sent emails and did review claim online. Yesterday did another email and further reviewed claim page, pressed on screen but on no clear “ Press here for help” . Saw next page and to chat. Kept receiving same response after each explanation we were still waiting for repair of our refrigerator . Response was that “ they had information repair was complete. If we had any comments or questions to contact them.” Finally Received response that there were going to review and contact us within an appointment to give them 24 hours. Today I’m waiting for a call back. I’m hopeful that I will get a callback today. If not, please contact me as soon as possible.

I have been a CHW customer for several years now and have only used the service a couple of times for repairs. One of those times they were unable to find someone for service in my area and advised me to find a repairman and they would reimburse me for the charges and I did. Well a couple of weeks ago my AC was not cooling and I reported it late in the afternoon. I have Asthma and several other medical issues and included that in my claims report. I didn't hear anything back except an email that they were going to place the order with a technician. The next morning still nothing. I got someone to come and fix the problem. I called CHW about reimbursement and they told me, "No you will not be reimbursed because we didn't approve it and we are not an emergent service. It's in your contract." The young lady was also very rude about it. I'm sorry but it was hot and I think there should be some exceptions sometimes. In the past I have referred people but I won't again. There are other services. Choose Wisely.

I have only had a couple of claims, nothing major. Delay in getting an appointment though they do allow you to obtain your own repair company and be re-imbursed. Not sure how that would work. My last claim hasn’t gone so well, needed a follow up appointment. Can’t compare Choice to other warranty companies because this is my first experience. Three stars is the best I would do

I prefer the USA customer service to call into claims. The recent claims representative did not hear me correctly or understand what I needed knowledge wise. I’m a premium customer. I provided in detail what I needed verbally and I uploaded in my portal of my work service document of the scope-of-work that showed no charge and what was needed that the field plumbing technician wrote what was needed to repair or replace. Yet, the approver from CHW tried to deny my no cost out of pocket service. CHW claims rep stated I could not speak with the approver because he did not have the ability to do so or have the telephone number. The vendor Forever Plumbing are an excellent company. Thank you in reading my written concern.

I would have said it was going well until recently, but we were assigned a plumber who is running a scam, and it was a terrible experience. When I tried to get the ticket reassigned, they auto denied it because the plumber Choice sent us ghosted us after referring us for restoration for water damage. They made us put in a whole new claim, and assigned the SAME company again. I had to call between 3-4 times and was told different things by each person, and at the end of the day they charged us for the same issue twice. I’m definitely going to get a different company when this one expires.

Going on 2 months andd my toilets have not been repaired yet. I gave the lumber the name of a distributor and he knew of the company. This was 3 weeks ago . He doesn't answer phone calls. I emailed him and he asked for my policy#, address. I forwarded the info and requested a ETA for repairs. Still waiting. My water bill has increased $20/month.
