I've had this policy for almost 4 years. The first two times I called for problem no one showed up. I called to see why I didn't get the answer I was looking for. They rescheduled the service and again nobody showed up. A few months ago I called for a broken garbage disposal and the the technician showed up on time and fixed it. I think when my policy runs out next year I'll start looking for another.

SO I CALLED AND GOT IT FIXED $240 DOLLARS I UPLOADED PICS OF THE PARTS AND RECEIPTS ....... RICHARD PAULMER RELIED TO MY CLAIM TO GET REIMBURSED THAT WAS TO FAR OUT FOR US NOT TO HAVE AIR ....... Read exactly what the warranty covers. If you want peace of mind in the likelihood that a major repair or replacement is covered then a home warranty is the way to go. Just know exactly what's covered and more importantly, what's not covered.

Technician Shannon K is great. Choice Home Warranty covered the motherboard for our refrigerator, but denied replacing the separated seal on the freezer compartment. He replaced the seal on our upright freezer, but frozen moisture still collects on the inside of the door.

Both contractors with each claim were awesome, but CHW takes too long to process claims and set up contractors to come to the home. With the first claim we had to wait 2 weeks to have hot water and had to pay an additional amount for items that should have been covered.

My water heater was going out. Scheduled an appointment & the plumbing company saw the tag on the existing water heater and said "this is not an 80 gallon heater - tag is wrong". Plumbing company requested approval for replacement. Choice refused. I filed an appeal. Once on the phone I was told "it didn't matter that the tag was wrong, it didn't matter that the plumbing company said the water heater was only a 50 gallon tank - there was not a way to appeal this - The ONLY way is if I can get the manufacturer to give me the paperwork to say the tag was incorrect". While my water heater was leaking into my garage. So I paid my regular plumber the $1400.00 to replace my 50 gallon water heater. Here's the kicker - I am a REALTOR - I KNOW that there was a way that someone could have verified that the existing water heater was a 50 gallon tank. You did not offer that option - at all. CONGRATULATIONS I will NEVER offer Choice as a home warranty option to my Clients ever again.

I'm not a fan of the increased service fee to $100 regardless of the job. I had a commode problem that took the technician 5 minutes, and the service fee was as much as the cost of replacing my water heater. Also, not sure where my $50,00 per month goes, but I still had to shell out $875.00 for my water heater for "UNCOVERED " COST.

The past 2 claims I have submitted it was 5+ days before the technician came to fix the problem. This last claim for my dishwasher that was leaking the technician wouldn’t even fix it because it was a leaking valve and he claimed it was an installation error and not covered under warranty so that was a waste of $75. At this point I will be canceling my contract and requesting a prorated refund on my contract. Choice Home Warranty is not as good as they once were several years ago. I am not a satisfied customer and will not be recommending them. I don’t know why it says “Amazing” at the bottom I don’t think their service is “Amazing “!

I was surprised to learn that air conditioner coverage did not include the inside air handler,so when my entire system needed to be replaced I had to pay $1,100 for it plus $1,000 for installation. Additionally, it took 12 days to have the new system installed while the heat indices was over 100 degrees here in south Florida.

Their customer service and concern for their customers is zero. I had a problem with my hot water heater and a warranty that existed on the part that went bad. The company they sent wanted the $600 for the party up front even though they would be paid by the warranty. I never received a call explaining the issue until I became aggressive about it. Both my wife and I are disabled and greatly in bed if the use of hot water. We ended up going a week with no hot water and only when I personally contacted the company and paid half of the cost of the part could I get it repaired. I called choice on several occasions one to find out what the delay was and two to get done assistance getting the repair done. They did absolutely nothing other than relating the same scripted message over and over and over. I asked for a supervisor on two occasions, was told I'd get a call back, and never did. Customer service and a fast as in concerned, the company, is terrible. In addition, every company that has come to my house, 4 in total, to do a repair, voiced their disdain for this company.

Choice Home Warranty has provided adequate services. However, they are often unable to find a local provider and/or the time for repairs exceeds a reasonable timeframe. I have also experienced denials for repairs that should have been covered. I highly recommend reading the fine print.

A friend had recommended using them, after the Home Warranty company we were using hiked up their pricing plan significantly. We are currently discontent with the service we have received. Long delays in getting a repair done or deeming it unrepairable. Problems getting technicians out here to look at the broken items. The money received by this warranty company to replace the unrepairable appliance will not cover replacing the item, just a percentage of its cost.

Had to wait over 2 months in the dead of winter with no heat in sub freezing weather to wait for them to send several different service people who couldn’t fix my tankless hot water heating unit. I found my own plumber to work on it and after 3 weeks of trying to get my plumber to deal with Choice to help them with upload there photos and diagnosis, choice declined to pay claiming it wasn’t regular wear and tear of the system. Practically 3 months without heat only to be declined the claim while we sat in one room with a space heater and still and to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. (Which could have been done the week it broke!)

This would have been a 5 but the replacement program is terrible. My dishwasher was deemed unable to be repaired by repairman who was great. However I was only offered $272 for a full replacement based on how they calculate. It was $1200 new with install. I could get an equivalent replacement for $1000 but they would not budge off the $272. No mention of depreciation by customer service. Only keep saying based on size, options etc. Regardless of what I showed them. I challenge anyone to find a replacement dishwasher with the options of a Kenmore Elite for $272, Read small print very carefully for replacement option.

This claim was for my air conditioning system. It took the technician several days to get to me to set up an appointment, and he found that the unit itself is working, but the thermostat and wiring to the unit was faulty. I paid $100 for the service call. It took two more weeks for the technician to come back and replace the thermostat. When I ask him if it worked now, he said no because the wiring was not covered under the warranty. I’m still not certain how a “system “which can’t complete Sending information to its parts wouldn’t all be covered. My claims manager was very nice, but said that wiring doesn’t usually fail so that would be considered an abnormal failure and choice warranty does not cover abnormal failures. So I will have to pay someone to come and replace the wire. I have still not seen a settlement statement showing how much the thermostat cost. I am just assuming the original hundred dollars must’ve covered it. This is my second disappointing claim with this company when my gas range top went out and Ireceived $300 to replace a $1200 gas range top. After the service call charge was factored in, $200 certainly did not replace the range top. I gave three stars because of the quick response of choice #Warranty acknowledging my claim and for the ease of filing the information online. Those are the only reasons because financially and logically I don’t believe that I have received a fair value for my $93 a month which I have paid now for over two years
