The policies and procedures currently in place are not feasible for your customers. A customer should have to wait at least 7 to 10 business days for a refund or replacement of any product from your company. Such practices will likely lead to the closure of your business.

Pretty simple solutions seem like a huge job, such as finding out why my washer overflows! Probably just needs to be rotored! But I am hanging with them because they are trying. My refrigerator went out. They said its more cost efficient to replace it. Then i was told im only getting $567 to buy a refrigerator and its a lowes card so i cant shop were i want to. Then they said it will be 30 days until i even get the gift card. Its the holidays and i dont have a working refrigerator. Great.

Deal sounded good and turned out not to be true. What's the point of a home warranty if you still have to come out your pocket. I had to pay over $1,000 to replace a hot water heater, their vendor's cost was $2,200+, SMH. My vendor's cost was $1,800 but they would only cover $500.

Choice is a scam. I had a main sewer line blockage that was causing sewer water to flood my basement and back up into my bathtubs. My plan includes "plumbing blockages", their words. But they denied my claim when their plumber submited the work order, saying it wasn't normal wear and tear. The plumber thought that was crazy. I filed an appeal and and I had to reach out to find out who my claims rep was because they didn't reach out to me. I asked for an explanation as plumbing blockages were specifically mentioned in my plan and was told that they DO cover snaking the line, they just don't cover LINE ACCESS. So if the plumber could magically snake the line without creating access, the claim would be approved. So, even though my plan lists plumbing blockages as a covered item, they denied it and I had to find a remedy on my own. And then they emailed me a survey, wanting to know how they did. Right. DO NOT USE CHOICE!!!

To begin with, they have never been able to find a technician in my area so I had to find my own technician. The technician is required to fill out an online form on their own time in order to file for approval. The form is confusing. A mistake was made regarding the entry of the service call fee. (Regardless of the fact that CHW could not find a technician, they have a prescribed service call fee that needs to be deducted from the total bill.) The correct amount was clearly shown on the required/submitted estimate receipt. When I was told of the approved amount, I could see that it was wrong. I contacted CHW, was assigned an agent and scheduled for a 5 days after the technician was onsite. (Note, this claim was for a non-working refrigerator/frezer so I needed to get the repair completed before this meeting.) When I finally had the meeting, I was told that the technician had entered 2 service call fees. I explained that the entry was in error and the correct service call fee was obvious on the submitted itemized estimate. (Note, the estimate was supplied prior to the notification to me of the approved amount so they had the correct amount before they approved an amount.) The agent essentially told me that it was too bad and that a correction could not be made. Of course I could file for a dispute but if I had to wait for that to be resolved, I would have lost all of my food. I am looking into the dispute process but I wanted to make sure that I could get this review published to warn others. As a side note, I recently had an issue with a different standalone freezer. (Yes, it's been fun.) However, that freezer was newer and covered under an extended warranty through Allstate. They too couldn't find a local technician and when I took the path of finding my own, they provided me with a $100 extra payment for the fact that they couldn't find a technician. This felt very customer oriented at the time and felt even more so after how I was treated by CHW.

I purchased Choice Home Warranty for peace of mind, especially for major systems like plumbing, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. When I filed a plumbing claim, it was denied due to exclusions and fine-print technicalities that were never clearly explained at signup. It feels like the policy is structured to avoid covering certain issues rather than actually protecting homeowners. On top of that, I previously submitted a claim for a leaking clothes washer. The service technician who came out did not properly address the issue, and the leak continued. There was no real follow-up or accountability to ensure the problem was resolved. I paid for coverage and service, yet the issue remained unresolved. Between denied plumbing coverage and incomplete repair work on prior claims, this warranty has not delivered the protection it promises. I strongly recommend that anyone considering Choice Home Warranty read the exclusions very carefully and understand that coverage may not be as comprehensive as advertised.

Guys please do not use this company they are operating as if they are scammers. I have a heating unit that is not working and did its time. I reported it since Monday January 26, 2026 and on Wednesday February 4th 2026 they sent out a technician from Kays HVAC and they told them the system is old and is unrepairable and needs to be change due to carbon monoxide been leak and other issues . They denied the claim and reschedule a different technician to come out after I took off an entire day from work to facilitate their technician. After going through the contract I have made the decison to take legal actions against the company for unethical and non chalant business practice. I have a Mother and 2 young kids in a home without heat in below freezing temperatures and now have to place them in a hotel because of these people irresponsible, brutal and heartless actions.

I purchased a warranty in October, and in February, I had a toilet backup. I filed a claim on Tuesday, February 3rd, on Thursday, the 5th I called Choice Home Warranty as I had heard nothing back. They explained that they're having trouble finding a plumber to send. Three days with a backed-up toilet and no resolution. I was transferred to a resolution specialist, who was kind; she had no solution either. She went on to tell me that I can cancel my policy at a prorated price. I felt that was a little unfair as I have never filed a claim. She went on to explain that they would continue to try and find a plumber, and that I would receive an e-mail follow up at the end of our call. It's Friday the 7, still no email.....I guess she forgot. Really disapointing service. I'm feeling ripped off.

I have contracts on 5 properties, each with a 6 year pre-paid contract period. Theyhavel denied every single valid larger claimthatvgas been submitted. Then, when you call to ask why or complain, they will negotiate, (maybe) offer you 1/2 of the cost of the repair instead of covering the full cost. The contract language contains language that often allows them to deny coverage for important elements that should be covered. I do not plan to renew my contracts when they expire.

This company will pay for repairs up to limit of what you paid them for your contract( I paid $3525 for a contract from 2019 to 2026) after which they will claim that everything is due to abuse. I most recently put in a claim for a broken washer and they said because I washed bedding ,that it was abuse However the company making the washer, Samsung ,when we called and asked about this ,said there was clearly a setting for bedding and that was not abuse. Plus the gentleman who was sent to evaluate the situation said it was not from abuse when I asked him. Most recently I had a claim for a microwave and again I asked the repairman whether this could be from abuse and I was informed that it was not. However, home choice warranty has deemed it abuse. When I called home choice warranty I was informed that they had already done repairs over $3000 which is slightly less than what I paid for the contract. They obviously are stopping Repairs once you reach a certain limit below what you paid them. Do not deal with this company . Save your money and have the repsirs done yourself!!!!

My refrigerator stopped working on October second 2025. On October 13 Tech showed up found bad circuit board ordered circuit board said it would be sent directly to me. Called the Tech. On October 30 31 said he had the circuit board asked for my mailing address. Sent a text with my mailing address no response. called numerous times not answering. last call November 14. Left message still no response and still no circuit board not a happy camper.😡😡

They are suitable for routine tasks, such as a plumbing leak. However, for expensive items like A/C work, they will avoid addressing the real issue of replacing the coils (which have a known leak) by simply recharging the freon and hoping the problem goes away. This has happened to us now four times (for $75 per visit).

They are terrible.! They deny claims for no reason. I had a refrigerator go out and they took over 2 months just to get someone out to look at it. They are a terrible company to work with. Items are covered but they charge you to replace them and say it is because they have to update the system to replace the compressor. They said they had to change the wiring to the compressor. I watched the repairman change one for the other and there was no change of wiring.

We paid a deductible to the plumber to come out and fix NOTHING because in order for him to access the components they would have had to remove tile. They told me this is not covered under warranty and that none of the items he needed to do to fix the tub were covered under warranty. So all we did was pay the deductible, turn off the circuit breaker and we have a permanently broken tub now. Warranty is WORTHLESS!

My contract with Choice Home Warranty covered plumbing, however, when I submitted my claim for the bathroom and kitchen water faucets which were both twenty-one years old and falling apart and not functioning I was told that my claim was refused because the photos submitted with the claim indicated the. faucets appeared to be "broken" and not damaged by normal wear and tear. I paid my premiums as a greed, however, CHW did not pay the claim as they agreed to do.

They have a hard time finding reputable contractors to work for them. It took from 12/24 to 10/25 before they could send a person who knew what they were doing to repair my HVAC. He was knowledgeable and professional unlike the first person they sent. Then choice ask me to pay $780.00 to the repairman for additional parts to replace the compressor. We decided to get our own repairman and let them pay what the compressor cost back to us when we had a new unit installed. I would not recommend Choice home warranty.

CHW provided a 8.5 year old coil replacement - older than the failed coil that they took out. I cannot get a proper warranty on the "new" coil because it is so old. They also undersized the unit. They will not fix their mistake because the replacement is not currently broken. After multiple inquiries, I am getting pushed around and not given straight answers. Why bother with CHW when they are only causing bigger problems for me in the long run?!

I have been waiting a month to get the seal on the freezer door of my refrigerator fixed. Because the seal is worn out ice keeps freezing up on the inside of the freezer door and it has started freezing on the inside of the other wall and completely freezing inside on my food. They keep sending me wanting me to give feedback on their company and I’m just telling you the truth. This feedback is going to hurt them and it’s their own fault for not fixing my refrigerator.
