The process started out good. Everything was explained from step to step and moved along fairly quickly. As the process went on it became a little slower and was harder to speak to and figure out who was in charge of the case. The last few calls were disappointing because it was the resolution part and the specialist that called was clearly working from home. I could her a baby crying in the back and it was clear I wasn’t getting her full attention because I’d have to repeat things. I fully understand that the world is a little different now due to Covid but these are serious issues that affect people’s lives. I paid a lot of money for a service and was left feeling a little disappointed.

I’m took the Optima Service thru a friend ., it’s time to take care my Tax problems over the years.. At first I’m feel so comfortable & happy that my case of my Tax problem is not serious and they said we’ll take care for me with No problems.!!! And it don’t take that long ‘cause it’s small case..!! The very first Guy name Jeret ( no last name at this time) took my case with His professional experience presentation., & took my 3 payments for my case to me is a lot of money that I’m barely to afford. It’s turn out the case took about 6 months to settle… And I never hear any response from the IRS letters or calls. Only from the “Optima Tax Relief” say that my case is done and I will get my Tas return back instead of pay back to the IRS. And suddenly the IRS send me the letter of payment that I have owe them the money that I never expected.!! Then I try to send to the Optima Tax Relief company., They have told me that they can’t deal with that which I’m was Shock., they refuse my problem if that letter from the IRS. And they try to call me many times with different person and try to explain that it’s not they problem now. Nothing they can do at this point of this Letter from IRS that they send to me!!! It’s So SAD & Disappointed. I thought I depend on this company to resolve my tax Problems but now they told me to go to the different Tax Company to ask them to take care for me. It means I’m Lost all my payments to this Optima Tax Relief company and I have owe the Money to the IRS. So, what is the Name “Optima Tax Relief “ Means to their Services???? And to everyone??? I’m so unhappy & Disappointed that I been waiting for 6 months for THIS PROBLEM.:(( Instead make me happy & Relief.

The jury is still out. We owe the IRS a significant debt and are still in the resolution process so my review may change based on the impending outcome. However we have had little to no communication about the resolution process or what is reasonable to expect and that doesn't give us a lot of comfort or confidence. It is my hope that we can avoid a lein against our home and an overall lower debt and workable payment plan so we can get back on our feet. It would be really helpful if they keep us updated and informed about what is going on and what we can realistically expect the IRS response to be. If they improve their communication and the resolution is workable with no lein against our home then I will definitely be revising this review in a positive manner

The fee was expensive for me to cover but it was worth it. I finally got a tax refund this year. The end result was a positive one. The only drawback is the customer service. Their customer service can be frustrating. My case initially got lost in the pipeline. I had to finally speak to supervisors to get my case moving. My case was transferred to different representatives repeatedly. The representatives were nice and helpful but it would be better if you didn't have to go through so many.

After seeing Optima Tax commercials on TV numerous times and how they help other people, we decided to give them a try. At this point, my dad was several years behind on his taxes and it became impossible for him to catch up with all of the penalties/interest the IRS kept adding on. Optima Tax went to bat for him right away. They took care of everything. All he had to do was sign a few papers. Optima was able to get his taxes reduced to way less than half of what he owed the IRS. Optima even helped set up a low payment plan for the balance. Dad definitely sleeps much better these days because he’s not constantly worrying that his bank account is going to be garnished or liens put on his property. Thanks Optima Tax for all you help!
