They did a good job selling at my door, but they did a poor job installing. It took over eight months for me to finally get connected for money. They broke over 200 tiles on my roof.

I regret picking up on them when they called. My roof now leaks and they made a lot of mistakes during installation. They lied to me, they just let me pay monthly and did not compensate me for the payments.

My solar was installed in Feb and still isn't up and running. The communication from this company is terrible. They have scheduled workers and inspections without informing me. They have failed numerous inspections by not completing the work that was needed. I have a small 1,400sq ft home, it shouldn't be a difficult job. I feel that this company does not value their customers time or money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Not only have I been paying my high electricity bill for the past 4 month, I am also paying for the solar loan. We had a no call no show to get the work done again last week. I still haven't heard back from them to make things right.

I find it challenging to believe that this company has a 4.5 rating on this site. The lack of integrity displayed by the Salesperson and Management is appalling. Our Sales representative, Joe O, assured us that he would remain with us throughout the process and that the solar loan would not begin until after the installation was signed off. However, Joe disappeared after signing the paperwork, and two months after Elevation received the money from the Loan company, the solar loan payback started and the panels were not even on the roof. During those two months, we could not check our account to monitor payments, and we were charged interest on the loan. Once the panels were installed, the installers left out a crucial component, which would become a significant problem. The biggest problem with this company is the absence of communication. Our panels sat on our roof for almost six months because Elevation submitted inaccurate information. The company promised a "concierge" to assist with the process, but after Kassie S was promoted, she stopped responding to our emails. We went through twenty customer service representatives (Jeff S, Mers, Devon, Christian, Michelle A, Amanda M, Jake, Araxy S, and many others that we didn’t get the names written down), none of whom could solve the problem. We finally spoke to a manager named Karen M, who promised to address the issue, including reimbursing us for our electric bill while waiting for the panels to be operational. After a month passed with no action, we talked to Alex L, who assured us that he would take care of everything and even gave us his personal cell number. He promised to reimburse us for the loan payments, which we had to pay while waiting for the system to become operational. After over seven months, we finally received approval from the energy company, but because the component was left off in the initial installation, we had to wait another 3 weeks for an electrician to be dispatched. We requested a phone call to notify us when the electrician would arrive, but we never received it. Fortunately, electrician Skye, who had requested that we be given a call before he came out, was frustrated with the lack of communication we had been dealing with and took it upon himself to paint the parts required to meet the HOA agreement Elevation had signed. The electrician gave me Debbie L’s name in the hope she would become the point of contact to resolve the issues we had been experiencing, and help with the so called reimbursement; but the reimbursement process has been slow to non-existent. We have made many attempts to contact the company regarding this matter with no response. In the first week of March 2023 we were told that the reimbursement was “approved” on Feb 8th and that I would be getting it “soon”. As of this post (May15) we have not received a check or any information on where it is other than “I’ll let the escalation team know”. Debbie’s supervisor, Modesto, came out to talk to me about the issues I had been having and to let me know that the reimbursement was “approved”, but again, nothing has been done. It’s all talk. I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this company. They have demonstrated their incompetency time and again. Despite all the challenges, the system is now operational and functional, but the process took way too long due to the incompetence displayed by several people in the company. The entire process (without any promised reimbursement) took from May 2022 to January 2023. In that time, 3 other houses in our neighborhood had their solar installed within 3 months of them signing the contract. And the delay in all of this was simply that Elevation was unable to put in the proper paperwork to the electrical company. No other delays or problems, they just couldn’t do that one thing. HOW can I trust that this company will stand by any of their “guarantees” if they can not do some of the most basic things? Most of this could have been solved by a simple SPREADSHEET that all of their employees could access and update. That and clearly communicating with the customer!

We worked with Elevation for our solar solution in 2019. We purchased 34 panels using the SolarEdge string solution, which Elevation strongly recommended and assured us they would support, maintain and expand for at least ten years. Unfortunately, I have been working with them over the past last month, and they will NOT expand my current system and the only offer they have is to add an additional microinverter system, and not for a reasonable price. I have discovered that those who work with this company will tell you whatever they need to make the sale and in the future (very short future, that is, we haven't even had ours four years) leave you hanging even though they assure you they will not. I recommend finding another local company that will stand behind what they say and work with you as your system ages.

Very very unorganized company. Sales people do not return your calls as soon as you have paid. The service department does not talk to the concierge department. I've been waiting for a part for 8 months now that was supposed to be delivered 2 months after I initially called. Service department was dispatched and sent out 1 technician that was not qualified, and then 2 more times the technician had no idea why they were at my residence. Jeff S, from the concierge department, has promised a call back or an email and it has now been about 2 months since I've heard from him. I'm sure this company is goo at two things, taking your money and forgetting about their customers. Thanks Eric K for selling me the system and the entire concierge department for failing me.

had elevation sales guy come to give me information about their solar panels. All sounded great. He said the warranties I was going to have and all. Well when i read the contract it was nothing of what he said. I called and text him. He said " good you caught that" wow ok I said cancel the contract. He said he will void it and it gets cancel. He said he will send me a new one with what he promised. Again it eas not correct I called no answer and text him stating it was not stating what we agreed. He never replied. I didn't sign 2nd contract. I got numerous emails to remind me to sign it. I calles stated I am not interested I am not moving forward. Never heard from them. I get a text stating I have to pay a cancellation fee from sales guy. I called elevation and all run around. All I was told on their ens it was cancelled and someone will call me. No one called me back. Today I get a text my permits were approved. I am why its been cancel. I calles and all I get your contract is cancel. Talk to the sales guy. Well theres no talking to him. I then get an email today with an invoice of cancellation fee. I cancel within time frame. I email elevation texts n emails about it and they still charging me?? No is not right and I am not doing to accept pay for something I didnt agree n where sales guy admits contract was not stating what was promises to me. Can't do business what they say and do is different Can't trust a business when they give you run around. Cant trust this business at all.

Elevation Solar is the worst. I would give it zero stars if I could. Their communication is HORRIBLE. First, I wasn't told that putting on solar meant I couldn't have my foam roof updated, had I known this before the installation, I would have waited. The installers broke an existing skylight and nothing they did fixed it. They came out and "replaced" the broken skylight 2 or 3 times. It still leaks. Now I have to pay to have the solar panels uninstalled and reinstalled at $250 per panel. Originally, due to the extra costs, time, aggravation, and their lack of communication, this was supposed to be done for me one time as a courtesy. I called to request to speak with someone before they sent out any agreements but that didn't happen. I've done everything I can think of except demand to talk to a manager of some kind. This has been an ongoing between Elevation Solar and me for 3 years now. Additionally, I don't see savings reflected on my energy bill. In short, NONE of this experience was worth it.

Just awful customer service. It started out great and then I gave them an $8K deposit and then everything changed. The moment they took my money they stopped communicating and responding to call, emails, and texts. They fumbled everything from the very beginning and lost my file for 30--so they did nothing despite cashing my check. They promised better communication and they said they would make it up to me. It's been 7 weeks and nothing has changed. I have no idea where we are in the process and I have no timeline or idea of when anything will get done. Their initial estimate was 8-10 weeks for everything to be completed. They took my money nearly 3 months ago and have done very little and if they have, they certainly haven't communicated with me. I have 11 unanswered call and/or emails. Twice I've been promised by customer service managers a call back and an explanation--yet they've never called. Please do yourself a favor and research this company. I'm stuck with them and they won't let me out of the contract without hefty cancelation fees yet they have not delivered on their end and just refuse to engage with the customer. Very sad situation. Obviously I have buyer's remorse over choosing them. Terrible way to treat the customer!

I can honestly say our experience with Elevation Solar has been extremely negative and very disappointing. As a customer, if you are looking for non-skilled personnel to install or repair your SOLAR System with a company that has no communication within their office, or any type of customer satisfaction, this is the company for you. Their service is absolutely atrocious!!!!!! This is by far a company that is unreliable for solar. This company will take YOUR money, and if you are unfortunate enough to start having problems, you will have difficulty contacting anyone to help you including field supervisors, if by chance you are lucky enough to get their phone number. From day one the install was not done correctly. I had roof leaks, and panels went out due to obsolete wire connectors. I was never notified of panel outages through the company, which they were in fact suppose to be monitoring production for one year. This company drags their feet when there is a issue with your solar, to fix or repair the problems. When the company finally made arrangements for personal to come to do repairs, no one showed up. Not only did they not show but I did not receive an E-Mail or a phone call letting me know of the change in plans. This scheduling/no-show happened multiply times. When finally a person came to my home, they did not understand the scoop of the complaint due to the lack of communication in their office but upon inspection they could not fix the problems due to company’s lack of material. At the present time I still have unresolved issues. If upper level management does not see to take pride in their work, the workers underneath them will do the same. I advise everyone before you decide to go with any SOLAR COMPANY go online go to the BBB, CUSTOMER AFFAIRS, and the company’s web site. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT CHOOSE ELEVATION SOLAR…….

I had Elevation install solar panels and a battery backup a few months ago. (Note: I started this process in October of 2020, installation took almost 8 months.) My primary reasons for installing were 1) help the environment 2) save a few dollars on monthly electric 3) my neighborhood suffers from frequent (monthly) power outages. Since the installation, I've had to call numerous times. My battery system has yet to work once during power outages. This weekend was the worst. Saturday, around 2pm I lost power to half my house. Because it was the weekend - can't call Elevation - so I had to have an electrician come out to look. He reported the Solar Panels and Battery were doing nothing. I called Solar this morning first thing (Monday) only to be told I will need to wait 72 hours for any kind of response. I asked to escalate and was once again told I would need to wait 72 hours - "that's how customer support works here" - they informed me. Do NOT use this company. If you do - expect non-existent customer service.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. I will start first by the sales experience. The sales experience I would give five stars, the sales rep was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain everything in great detail. After we bought our unit cash, everything started going down hill. We have had our unit now for three years. We found out that the first year having the unit something was not working and I was the one who had to keep calling saying our bill was high until someone finally decided to come check on the unit. After the company stated they fixed the issue and everything should be working. I just found out today that something else isn't working on my unit and it hasn't been working since September 2020. This company promises you if something goes out or breaks they will monitor it and let you know (this hasn't been the case). I have been the one making phone calls and checking my monthly bills and not seeing any improvement. I have had my unit for three years and so far I have probably seen a good half of a year of it actually working correctly. I would not waste you time with this company or if you do maybe you should lease the panels, then maybe they will care more about your service. It seems like I am on the back burner by paying them off completely. Shop around don't buy here like I said unless you lease. This company so far has been garbage on the service and helping me out. Like I said zero stars in my book and a lawsuit getting ready to take place.

I had my solar panels installed on 4.28.2021. I paid immediately upon completion. My solar panels were no longer functioning on 5.2.2021. After many phone calls and shody visits the panels came online 5.20.2021, the technician stated he would have to order a part. The company immediately closed the ticket. I tried to no avail to get them to open the ticket back up. Now the panels are down again and instead of sending someone out immediately, they are telling me that they wont be out for other 10 days. Of course they are saying that they will come out on a Friday, and if history is any indicator on the future, they will come out after the sun sets and then say they can't tell if they fixed anything because the sun has set. I so wish I had not gone with this company. I am looking for what to do next. Do I get a lawyer? Better Business Bureau? I can NOT get anyone from the company to call and talk to me about their lack of customer service. I would definitely NOT recommend this company to anyone.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY MOVE ON!!! What can I say about this company but that they care as much as they get your money. I have paid over $30,000 to have solar panels installed and was very happy with my service until it came time to actually install the panels and it has been a nightmare since then. I had the panels and the back up battery installed and it was to done haphazardly. They did not anticipate how much time it would take and did not budget the appropriate amount of time to do it correctly. On the first day, they came in the morning and were done by noon. The next day when it actually came to doing the wiring and connecting it to my fuse box they were here for 14 hours and still did not complete the project fully by leaving the conduit that was to be painted partially done and I also spent the next few days sweeping and cleaning up screws and nails around. I was told they would have a tech out to finish the job of painting the conduit and any other miscellaneous thing that needed to be done and it took close to a month of me calling multiple times to get someone out to take care. Finally, a tech did come out and I saw him standing outside looking at my home and then he left without out doing anything. Finally, after several more calls, a tech was scheduled to come out and did paint and take care of our existing issues which was the one positive interaction with the company. As far as getting city and SRP inspections I was told the city had had the plans submitted to them and we were waiting for approval. Several weeks went by and I emailed my concierge or company representative and did not receive a reply and found out that she had left the company without assigning me to someone else. (Since then I have had 3 different representatives.) I found out that the plans were submitted wrong to the city and that they had to restart the process. They would not have caught it if I had not called. I started calling the city myself to get updates so I am well aware that it was their failure. Finally, I had the city inspector come and approve with some minimal recommendations. However, today I had another tech come out and inform me that because of the wiring that was done and that my fuse box is too small he cannot complete the process and get my system to pass inspection with SRP. I have 2 days prior to the inspection and a wired fuse box that looks like a total fire hazard. They did not take the time to anticipate that I would need a bigger box for the electrical panel. Instead, they crammed the wires in and left it. What was the tech's solution? "I will make a note in the computer." So it has now been over 2 months since the panels were installed and today I was told by them that they did it incorrectly. I have no idea when or if the system will ever actually become functional! Bottom line is that you pay upfront for the installation and that once they place the solar panels on your roof they are done and really have no further obligation to you. In my case, the wiring was done incorrectly and my system can not even be turned on. Their staff is very polite on the phone and through email. Once they are off the phone you are easily forgotten and the staff moves on. Next time you call it will be the same thing over and over. They politely ignore you.

We had solar installed in Oct. 2017 and what a nightmare! First off it started with installers not showing up when they were scheduled. Got over that hump, everything was going okay. We didn't save as much as the sales guy told us we would. Really, we might break even, but hey we will own this, right? Then last year our batteries that were installed for solar shorted out, on the side of our house. And we woke up with no hot water, so I think hey, need new water heater. Well a handy man came out and notice that the batteries were burnt. Thank god it didn't start our house on fire. So, I called Elevation and it took me 3 calls and a lot of yelling to get someone out. Come to find out the company they used for the batteries went out of business. So, guess what, they just uninstalled one of the 3 batteries. So here it is May 2020, and I get my SRP bill and it is $285.00 the highest it's ever been in the 6 years we lived here. So, I call Elevation once again, I wanted to see if they can tell if the solar is working properly. They said they are going to look into it and call me back later that day. It took several days to get a call back from them and that is with me calling them back. Yesterday I get a call stating that they cannot tell if my solar is working because they have no access to the data due to the company going out of business. But I can buy something to add to the solar that they can get data moving forward. My question to them is how good is the warranty if they are unable to tell me if it's working. Kristi F (Elevation Manager) had no answers for me but again she is going to look further into this and give me a call back by the end of the day. And that was yesterday, I still have not heard a word from them. So, my suggestion to you is rethink if you want to go with Elevation Solar to get solar. Shop around because with my experience with them, they do not stand by their product nor do they care. Solar is a lot of money to get service like this!

Elevation Solar - misleading practice asks customers to sign document allowing them to proceed before HOA approval Our HOA had our first installation of solar panels in our neighborhood and we understand that by law we cannot impact more than 10% of the solar panel installation. HOA's cannot deny solar panels but can influence some of the placement. In this situation the company contacted us for the approval process and we were responding in a very timely manner. Before approval was obtained the company began installing the panels on the customers home. My point of contact had no answers and then stopped returning my calls. This left us wondering what had happened. It turns out part of their packet of information in their paperwork that the home owner signed allows them to proceed with the installation without HOA approval. The home owner signed so many documents they don't even realize this is one of them. I think this is a very bad practice of solar panel companies, but they say it is necessary due to some HOA's taking too long to approve the installation. Solar panels have good environmental benefits but this aggressive tactic will give companies a bad reputation. In the future our HOA will accept the approval form from the resident not the company so the resident will be sure to know HOA approval has been obtained before installation begins.

Find attached the correspondences after I had contacted Elevation Solar upon getting the advertisement in the mail and had the initial meeting here at the house. I thought things were going well, especially after an employee soon came and did inspections. Each employee knew I was interested in the leasing plan. When the employee who did the inspection left, he said I would be hearing from Elevation Solar shortly. I never heard anything from anyone since he was here, received no documents to sign, anything else, nothing, and waited. So after quite a long wait, I decided to send an email to find out the status of the project. -------- The following are the correspondences from our e-mails up until tonight: ------- Paul wrote: Good afternoon..... What is the status of the solar installation of the place here? (I omitted my address.) Paul ------- The employee wrote: Paul, I have noted here that you were looking into a lease for your solar system. Unfortunately, our leasing partner does not allow for panels to be north-facing. It looks like there was no further communication after your original appointment with the employee who did the inspection, and no documents were signed to indicate that you had interest in moving forward. If you are interested in our zero-down financing, I would be happy to reach out and have somebody contact you with an updated proposal. If you are interested in the proposal and would like to move forward, then we can send you out a final contract and begin working on the system. Let me know how you'd like to move forward. If I could give a zero rating thats what they would get. They don't care about customers AT ALL. They just want to take peoples money and tell you lies if they contact you at all. The system was installed, service guy came out to install/connect demand manager and will give overview of it once done. Never heard from him again, no demo, no goodbyes, nothing. Come to find out he never fully connected it and left our air handler breaker in the off position. Lucky for their company I can figure this one out. Finally, someone contacted me about finally connecting the demand manager and was told we will make it up to you by sending you an amazon gift card. They send a $25 gift card, REALLY. Customers spend over $30K and you try to bribe them with $25. You can take that gift card and shove it. Don't buy from them at all, if they are towards the top of the list for solar I would hate to see the bottom companies. If I could have it removed I think would as it doesn't appear to be producing what I was quoted for. Would like to go on and on about them but I have better things to do. Hope they read this review and reconsider how customer service really works.

This company does not honor their word to resolve problems with less than optimal output from panels installed. For one year they continued to tell me they needed more data to analyze why my panels were not performing at optimum performance. This month after one full year, they decided that no adjustment was necessary due to the product output exceeded estimated output. They purposefully underestimate panels performance for this reason. I have 25 panels with 19 on the west and 6 on the east of my home. The 6 on the east out performing the 19 every day of the Year by about 16%. They told me these could be adjusted for one year. Now refuse to make adjustments unless I pay them to do this. Play the hide the pea game, switching representatives every time you speak. Deceitful and outright Liars. Don't do business with this company, their crooks.
