Service was scheduled to be performed between 1 and 3 P.M. We had called last week reporting that we had a problem with spiders inside the house. From that conversation, I undersstood that when the technician came out we could talk to him about doing something about the spiders. I missed another apointment waiting for him to show up. Our NEST cameras show that he arrived at 7:30 P.M. Someone was home. However, he did not attempt to make contact with us. It is possible that the person I spoke with on the phone failed to pass our request on to the tech? I am not happy.

Aptive was to come out Saturday the 2nd and no one showed up. I called and talked to customer service and the person was very sorry and gave me a credit and set up new date and time. Jose was totally awesome, very polite and he did a great job

I signed up for Aptive 2021, I was supposed to be on auto payments. I was charged and money taken most of the time, but if they missed the payment it was a hassle. It came down to me In collections, and I shouldn't have been. But the pest service itself is good. Just make sure your home to see it done. I've since gotten everything worked out and still use them.

I have to hand it to the young man who knocked on my door. He made a sale for our primary home and rental property. The only issue I had was their scheduling format, they would just show up unannounced and if my gates aren't open or my tenants aren't home then I didn't feel they could service everything I was paying to for. All in all I was happy, I mean I never had any problems with pests around the house!

A sales rep came to my door a few years ago and gave a discount for signing up and thing went well. Until it was at the end of the contract. The CC I used expired before the last payment went out, and instead of calling and asking for the new number, they sent me to collections. When I called aptive to talk to them about it, the rep confirmed that no calls were made regarding the payment. I found out about it because I got a collections notice. The service was alright, although i found it a little expensive, and after them sending me to collections, I won't ever use them or recommend them again

I use aptive. They are reasonable cost wise, come 4 times a year and I have a lot less bugs. I get a report when they are coming and when they left. I would only suggest that they ask for feedback more often. They want referrals, but I would like to give them a tweek once in a while and say attaboy or how about this?

I've been using Aptive for about a year and have been impressed. They are very thorough and I've watched them sweep the eves to get rid of spider webs and even spray our rose bushes so we don't get bugs on them. They are great.

They have done a great job keeping aphids off my roses. I have noticed since using them that I don't have the spiders and bugs I used to get in my house. They are great to even brush off the spider webs from the eaves of my home. I feel like they are very thorough. My only complaint would be that they had originally told us they could help with voles or gophers and later said they can't.

i like what is advertised for service, I don’t like that I have to request the extra things that are advertised. That it’s not just included every time. An example would be spraying inside, you just request it, or spraying the outer perimeters. My major draw to them was that they would spray inside and out. Customer service has been fantastic. I have had to ask them to return a few times as the spiders continues to appear a few weeks after a spray.

BE WARNED...the sales representative over promised and Aptive undelivered. I called and text the sales representative several times and never received a call or text back. Was charged four times and provided service twice. CANCELLED my service and Aptive said there is a $199 cancellation fee. NOT RECOMENDING - APTIVE for you pest control needs.

I should have known when they knocked on the door. The service sucks. Totally ineffective. Can’t get anyone on the phone without waiting over an hour. No appointments available online. Our bug problem is worse 6 months in to the contract. Run to a local pest control company and stay far far away from this scam.

Terrible customer service. You will never get hold of them. When you call, you are directed to a call center. The wait is over 30 minutes. When you cancel, there's a fee, over $100. So it is not a cancel whenever you want. Beware of this company.

I was with the company for a year didn’t see much improvement at all. They would schedule appointments. Send you a text. Never knock or call when they arrive. Anything they could do to avoid actually doing the work spray my front door and consider it work complete I’ve had enough in the day I canceled. I was charged early on my billing cycle when I advised the customer service representative. He told me we can come out and service at one more time but no refund was available. This place is a scam. Complete waste of money.

Used them for months saw no difference in them being here or not. Tthey missed a month without contacting me so I cancelled my plan they charged me over two months price to cancel. So it’s a company that will skip servicing your home charge you anyways and then charge you on the way out the door. If you wanna pay for four months of service to never see them a single time this is the business for you…..

SCAM!! They come spray and it does NOT work. Then when you've had several different sprays and it doesn't work, good luck canceling their crappy service. They charge you $199 to cancel. They expect you to hold up your end of the deal by paying the cancelation fee but they don't hold up their end of the deal by providing services that actually work.

I called in and canceled my service. I was still charged why. I called in and talked to someone waited on hold for 30 plus minutes to be told a manager would call me back in 10 minutes and reimburse my money. I never got a call back. I called back 1 hour later for someone to tell me I am not getting my money back and I would get a call back from a manager it’s the next day and still no call back. The call was recorded when I called in to cancel my service which I clearly stated i want to cancel my service.

I signed up for a one-time service. The technician came to my home and performed the service for exactly 14 minutes, which included 2 minutes of talking with me on at my front door. They proceeded to waive a wand around my yard and walk around the perimeter of my house. The service was completely ineffective. This company has fradualent business practices. Do not use them.

If I could give less than one star I would. I have more bug bites than ever. They don't show when they say they do. I have ants, moles, tics, and mosquitos. They have not helped in any way whatsoever. Then you get a call and are told how they are going to help. But no one shows and when they do they focus on everything but what you wanted. They actually hung things to attract mosquitos where we play corn hole and volleyball. My old company never had to be called back. They came once a month and we had no issues.

This is a shit termites period. They are unprofessional, their poison doent kill cockroaches, they keep charging you month to month even though they don't appear at your place to do the service. There customer service doesn't have one single person to br in charge for the service. Other day I stay over an hour on the phone trying to resolve the problem. They overcharge you if you don't keep your eyes open and check your account. They are awful. I tried to hire the Orkin company,I don't know why my call was directed to this shit company. They're rats,not honest company.

I heard a very aggressive knock at my door, thinking it was a neighbor needing something, I immediately opened it. That was my first regret. I had the “pleasure” of dealing with someone who questioned if I was the owner of the home with a certain tone, didn’t introduce himself or ask me for my name and went into his whole song and dance without me getting a word in. I gave every hint that I was busy and needing to leave…out of the blue he asked if I’d want treatment today, even after telling him I’m already on a monthly payment with a different company. Upon telling him I wasn’t interested at this time, he didn’t thank me for my time and rudely left. If you want someone’s business, I highly suggest you make someone feel appreciated and well informed…not rip their current decisions on pest control and act like it’s surprising that you’re in fact the home owner. Try to be more Adaptive and less “Aptive”

I had the sales representative stop by my house on Saturday. He promised that the people would visit every month during the warmer months and less often when it go cold. He stated that they now spray three feet up from the base boards around the perimeter, and he stated that they spray at the top where they dust away the spider webs. When the tech showed up he presented the contract, the price quoted by sales covered nothing promised and the tech stated that none of the procedures I described were true. The sales rep said they prided themselves in communication and gave a big speech about it, but every word that came out of his mouth turned out to be false. If this is the Aptive way of trying to secure business, they are going to have trouble moving forward. The sales guy promises one thing, then the tech shows up a few days later and says "Hey, you forgot to go over the contract with sales. Here it is."... and then the paperwork is nothing what the sales team promised. Very dishonest. Luckily I was able to send the guy away before he did any work. This was in San Jose, CA on May 17th, 2025 when this all happened.

Very disappointed with customer service representative. Call in today to decide not to continue my service with Aptive Environmental. Well during call I was told I have to meet my 2-year agreement. My reply was I've had service with you for over 3 years. Only thing I ever did was call for a lower price. Which when I made this call I got locked back into a 2-year agreement apparently without my knowledge. Closed out my old account and started a new one. Further both the representative on the call and her manager told me I only had one contract with them the excising one. Manager boldly said give me the old account number then. Which they had no idea that they were talking with career Human Resources representative. I keep a copy of everything. Now once I read the old account number to them miraculously the manager had the ability to find my old account. Now this is after she Boldly told me she looks in all locations for my name, email address, and phone number. To add more insult after all this I still have to pay the penalty to leave a service I never signed up for again. Good luck, but after this today I recommend keeping copies of everything you can with Aptive Enviornmental.

The door-to-door salesperson who showed up at my home was overly pushy and took far too long to come to terms with the fact that I was not interested in signing a contract. My interaction with him (the most uncomfortable one I've had with a door-to-door salesperson) makes me completely uninterested in considering Aptive in the future. Some of his comments and questions were irrelevant, unnecessary, and as was the case with a previous reviewer (Danielle C), disrespectful towards women. When I made it clear that I don't make decisions like signing pest control contracts without discussing with my wife first, his response to attempt to get me to sign something immediately was "if there's one thing I know about the ladies, it's that they don't like bugs and they like a good deal", and "you have a mortgage and car payments, this is just pest control, man". At one point, he even asked me to go get my credit card, and no salesperson has ever said that to me before. Nor has any salesperson before this one ever asked me where I'm from. I understand that there's always going to be an element of pushiness with this sales approach and it can often yield success, but my honest feedback to Aptive would be to examine the potential detrimental impact going about this without sufficient tact can have on their business.

I went with this company thinking everything would be okay, first off they don't come like i was told initially from the start, I was told they would come back every week if they had to make sure we were bug free, everything sounded good to you signed that contract, and then the attitudes come from the office from their customer service reps, I had issues with spiders and had lots of issues with mosquitoes I contacted them I was told they'd be back in 2 to 3 weeks I said I was told you guys would come back to the very next week if it wasn't fixed that wasn't the case, they're rude and just want money and that's all they really care about, they talked me into putting down some snake stuff some brown powder I asked him several times even the office this is safe for pets am I correct they stated it was my dogs got into it I guess around the yard but he really wasn't around the yard that they got into it their tech left a black bucket full of it behind my house I found that later on when my dogs were drinking out of it after it rained one of my dogs passed away wasn't exactly sure what it's from wasn't worth trying to figure it out, the other one was vomiting for almost 4 days we were so scared that we were going to lose him thank God we didn't, I contacted them and let him know their answer was well it's supposed to be snake away and it is safe for your dogs so we don't understand what happened we'll just take it off your bill still charge me for that one session. What's to be honest with you did nothing because we did find a copperhead underneath our deck thank God we were able to use a stick and get rehome him to the woods , this has been one nightmare and then they hold over your head at 200 bill I wonder if they want to pay the vet bills. I definitely would stay away from these guys they're not professional they don't seem to know what they're doing.

This is a ripoff service. Steer clear unless you like to burn money. I consider myself a pretty astute consumer, but what was offered and what was delivered were two different things. The first service was offered at a discount and was reasonable, although I could have done the same thing with easily obtained chemicals and a stepladder. After that, deplorable. The second "visit" should have been enough to cause me to cancel, but I was too busy. The third was over the top--they sent one of their service people out on a rainy day (and not in the service "window"), and he immediately informed me he could not do a treatment because it was raining. He was at my home for literally 10 minutes, took pictures, and left, and I was charged in excess of $100. I finally was so pissed I cancelled, even though I had to pay a cancellation fee. So, BUYER BEWARE.

I'd liked that pictures of the back door, garage door, front door, side of the house with HVAC, a piece of the fence, and curb showed the area that was treated. What I didn't like were: 1) I'd told told customer service that I needed to be called to ensure shsomeone is home. I don't look at my text during the day as I am an elementary teacher. So I wasn't aware that the service was done when I had no one home to treat the interior of my house to which I'd paid for as we have German 🪳. 2) For the value of the service one day one hour noticed isn't enough time to schedule ahead to ensure the value of money won't be wasted. 3) Because I was working and don't look at the text, I was unable to tell the service man we have a tick infestation. We still have that German 🪳. Lastly, I'm done with this company. It doesn't fit in my lifestyle. The company dictates their schedule and I can no longer work the inconvenience of it.

Your sales representatives did not say it was a 12 service agreement. Your representative used your visual advertisement that showed even after short treatments the product eliminated and minimized bug activity drastically. Then promises with “continuous use” to keep the activity dormant. You have two issues here. Your representative did not say it was a 12 month contact or 12 service agreement. He did say do a couple treatments, see if it works like it’s worked for everyone, and as the results cancel the policy. You’ll get charged a fee if you cancel before the first one, so many sure the first one happens. Then cancel after that if you’re not satisfied. i definitely have it more the. 1 treatment. It was several months. I reached out originally expressing I do not want you to come back because your product failed to show any change in the activity. I actually saw an increase in plant eating bugs, gnat, flys, ants, spiders, and more. I lost several crops after they sprayed. Not only planted variety, but berry bushes. It’s cheaper and safer to do it yourself. I had no issues when I bought and managed pest control. It became an issue once they arrived though. So, between the shady representatives that lied and cost me $199 and the loss of money buys plants, planting, tenting, trying to save, and watching them die. I wouldn’t mess with this company. All because I worked in sales a long time ago I figured I’d help the kid out. Only to bit me in… well you know the rest! Horrible company.
