After they bought CitiHealth, they failed to actually test the system to ensure that you can get registered. No matter what you enter, they find your Citi account, but you can't register. The page refreshes over & over without any errors or registration. My payment is now late because they shut down payments on the Citi site before the actual buyout too.

This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. They try to use only automation. Pulling my own teeth would be easier than getting answers from this company. DO NOT USE them unless you have the time to spend 8 hours on the phone. Their website continues to tell me I do not know my login, then it tells me I do not know my password. Every month I call customer service, use the same login, same password and they finally give me the balance of the account. It is scarey to have this bank working with my finances.

I never complain, but today I have had enough. Since Synchrony Bank has taken over my Old Navy, JcPenny and Walmart credit cards (they use to be with GECapital), they have lowered my credit limit on all of them, not because I'm late, not because I'm over my limit, and NOW just here in the last 2 weeks they lowered my Old Navy account AGAIN....I know, you're asking Why? If I could answer that question, I would, but I can't, because I have no idea. They don't return calls. I rate them the worse company to deal with and now I will make a strategic plan to pay them off and cut them up!

Synchrony Bank handles charges for QVC. I have done business with QVC for years and pay my charges IN FULL each month. However, in August I was exceptionally busy and the bill was misplaced on my desk. I received a very harsh notice from Synchrony Bank and a further email referencing "debt collection." I have contacted QVC and substituted my own credit card so as not to have to deal with Synchrony in the future. They do not differentiate between those who pay regularly and those who are regularly/frequently deliquent. Miss one payment and you are treated like a common criminal.

Worst Bank. NO way to get a hold of a customer service rep. The cycle on the phone is a vicious cycle that goes on where. You can't close an account on line, you need to call into this vicious cycle that does not produce a human person. You will end up tearing your hair out and screaming into your phone in total frustration. Stay away.

I use Synchrony for their Amazon shopping card. In my experience, their customer service is largely unhelpful. I don't need customer service often enough to cancel the account. But when I do, they tend to be a waste of time.

Let’s start a class action lawsuit because they close my account for no reasons, I paid my account off never was late. I call try to get understanding why would they close an outstanding account and that lady couldn’t explain to me why. Synchrony Bank Closed my accounts after years of a great relationship. I had a small glitch in my credit due to a fraudulent charge on one of my accounts ( Not Synchrony ) that drop my credit score. I consider this a low blow. My credit score is now on the upswing because the fraud issue was resolved. Do not Synchrony Bank.

We had 3 accounts with these people and they closed our accounts with out notice for no reason we were current and they took our credit limit down for no reason on our last one for no reason again was current paid accounts off several times . Quick to give credit, but will always look for a way to reduce it and hurt your credit score. They will lower your available credit to within pennys of any balance you have just to lower your score more. I've never had any credit company do this except synchrony.

This company is a scam. I made my payment on time and then they used my info to payoff my account without my authorization. They forced an overdraft on my checking account and refused to fix it. Customer service is horrible and disrespectful. Avoid this scammer at all cost. No matter how much you need the help, it’s not worth the trouble.

To date 1/1:2023…I’m still getting COLLECTION CALLS…& was settled on my behalf..Haven’t received statement by mail in years, but collections from calling all hours still! This company is horrible. They lower my limits for no reason. The accounts are in good standing no late pays. When they do this that makes my credit score go down due to the fact my utilization has increased to 90% of my limit. Can't wait to pay of these accounts and I will not be doing business with them again

This bank is the worst! They hold payments past due date to collect fees. they get payment and do not process payments. I have never had such trouble with a credit card company. They handle Sam's Club and JCPennys and more I am sure. I had both and it happened with both. Closed the accounts when I seen what happens.

Synchrony Bank refuses to permit downloading statements online unless I agree to paperless billing. I have had both paperless and paper billing for the past 29 months, but they claim this was only a 3 month pilot program they cancelled. All my other credit cards allow downloading statements without enrolling in paperless billing.

I acquired business loans from Synchrony Bank. First, they are very high interest compared to lenders. Secondly, after you pay off a loan you will wait forever to receive your title. I paid off loans 2 months ago and I have called and called them and they still haven't sent my titles. Very poor customer service. Stay away from them!

Horrid bank to deal with. Had to use them with Amazon credit. There is always random unexplained charges, payments charging twice, and getting your account sent off to collections if you don't pay on the date they tell you to. Forget that you might have an actual life and need to wait til payday to pay them. Avoid them if you can. Not worth it.

Terrible treatment of returned cd investors. Advice: don't be in a hurry to fund your cd accout and watch for strangely non-transparent interest rate changes. Also beware: once your account is funded, if you decide to close it immediately, there is no grace period to do it without a penalty. What an awful pracrtice.

Terrible terrible bank. They make everything as difficult as possible. Have several accounts through synchrony, yet have trouble accessing all of them. Randomly lowered my credit limit from $2500 to $250 for literally no reason hurting my credit utilization. Trash company. Never use them for anything. Closing every single account with them now.

I had a pay ent dispute. Thought it was taken care of. They charged late fee for no reason and denied Amazon card purchases for no reason. I also think what it says is on my card could be wrong. They are a scam ripoff. If Synchrony bank is used stay clear.

I go today to use my chevron/ Texaco card but was decline so I called Synchrony and was informed that they closed my account due to lack of real estate on my transunion report I never had a late payment. They should not allow this bank to stay in business and continue to mess with people credit.

I’ve had the worst experience with synchrony bank, they’re interest rates are the highest amongst store credit cards. Their agents are outsourced and provide horrible customer service/ account managers are completely out of touch with financial struggles during this time and show zero sympathy for their customers.

Do not get a credit card with Synchrony Bank. Every single purchase you make will require you to call in and verify yourself and purchases because it is "suspicious activity." They will block purchases until you give them a 4 second video and pictures of the front and back of your drivers license and then call them to give them a passcode.

Over charged 67+$ interest a year ago. Just sent reimbursement. This month after paying 150 on due date of 3rd. They withdrew 50$ at 1:02 am. on 22nd same month with only 24 due to bill and are sending refund. This caused me overdraft charge from main bank.

Got scammed on Amazon with this account. Amazon sided with me and so did Synchrony Bank. They owe me 180.00 and will send a check but I also owed them Synchrony 46.00. They reported me and I credit has been damaged. I had to pay them but they always promise but never sent any money. Buyer beware!

Not the best option, last resort 😕 if you want you credit to look bad try synchrony, I had a credit n paid off later to realize they took me to collection because of $13, which they claimed when I called was supposed to maintain the account. First I didn't borrow from them, the merchant did which account am supposed to maintain with them....!!!
