The last time we tested the the system the response time was almost 30 seconds. Not acceptable in case of an emergency.

I picked it after seeing it advertised. Thing is, it takes 4 hours to charge. What if something happened during those 4 hours? I'd be in trouble then.

Norma, thanks for the review. Your current unit, the Premium Guardian, has a battery life of up to 36 hours on a single charge (4 hours per a charge). We have a newer unit, the Active Guardian, that gives you up to 5 days of battery life on a single charge (3 hours per a charge). While we recommend charging all of our units daily, the Active Guardian gives you quite a bit more wiggle room between charges and a shorter overall charging time. Regarding response times for your device, you should receive a response from one of our highly trained operators in under 60 seconds under normal circumstances, which could amount to about 10 rings.
