Every Medical Guardian medical alert system is identical in that they have a base station, a wearable emergency button, and provide two-way communication. Each system also has a backup battery that has a battery life of at least 24 hours. However, systems like the Mobile Guardian device operate on a cellular network that allows you to take the alert button and miniature base station anywhere.
Systems like the basic Classic Guardian operate on a landline connection and have an alert button that can be worn as a wristband or pendant. When the emergency button is activated, you're immediately put in contact with a representative at Medical Guardian's certified monitoring center. Here's a breakdown of each offered system:
This plan starts at $0.97 per day.
The Classic Guardian is the lowest priced package Medical Guardian offers. The medical alert system is meant to keep you safe in and around your home with a 1,300 range. The system connects to your landline phone and the medical alert device is a wearable waterproof button. The system includes a built-in speaker with two-way communication and power outage protection with a 32-hour backup battery.
This plan starts at $1.12 per day.
The Home Guardian is a wireless medical alert system that does not require a phone landline. The system works with a nationwide cellular network that gives you access to Medical Guardian's 24/7 monitoring center at any time. The system comes with a wearable medical alert button, which has a 600-foot range from the base station.
This plan starts at $2.58 per day.
The Family Guardian is meant to combine medical alert systems with activity monitoring. With three, in-home safety sensors, The Family Guardian keeps track of activity in the home each day. This is great for family members who want to check on their loved ones. The Family Guardian also comes with a mobile app that you can enable to send you instant notifications to your email or smartphone when one of the safety sensors detects a difference in your loved one's routine or when the help button is triggered. The Family Guardian includes a 1,300-foot range from the base station.
This plan starts at $1.61 per day.
The Mobile Guardian is a portable mobile medical alert system that functions on built-in GPS technology. This enables customers to use their medical alert devices outside of their home. The device includes a wearable button that has a 350-foot range from the device. The system has location tracking and two-way communication with an adjustable volume speaker.
This plan starts at $1.28 per day.

You can find more information regarding the smartwatch capabilities below under the section "The Freedom Guardian Medical Alert Watch."
In addition to a variety of package offerings, Medical Guardian also has accessories you can add to your plan for a small fee. Prices for each product vary, but here is a list of the offered accessories:
Every Medical Guardian alert system offers fall detection except for the Mobile Guardian system. Fall detection pendants are equipped with a sensor that is triggered any time a fall occurs, which then immediately sends a signal to Medical Guardian's monitoring center informing them of the emergency.
Members may cancel their Medical Guardian services at any point without charge. As opposed to companies such as Life Alert, you won't be locked into any long-term contracts with the expectation of buying out. This allows customers to try out Medical Guardian to see if it is the right medical alert provider for them.
Medical Guardian offers a lifetime warranty on all its products. If for some reason the equipment is damaged or malfunctions, Medical Guardian will replace it free of charge. Having free equipment and a lifetime warranty on all products ensures money for equipment never has to come out of the customer's pocket.
100% of Medical Guardian's central station monitoring center operators are certified and committed to CSAA's five points of excellence. This can provide peace of mind to medical alert owners knowing they can rely on Medical Guardian's services. Medical Guardian is also UL Listed, FM approved, and ESA Security certified.
Service monitoring is 24/7, and Medical Guardian's fall detection can detect a fall without any action from the individual, so you don't need to worry about calling for help, as your device will do so on its own. Every system also offers two-way communication so in the case of an emergency, you can talk directly to Medical Guardian's monitoring center that is available 24/7.
Medical Guardian's home-based medical alert system has a 1,300-foot range. This is a much larger range than most medical alert providers out there who only offer closer to 600–1,000 feet of coverage from the base station. Medical Guardian's long range gives medical alert users more freedom in how far they can travel away from the base station while still having full coverage in case of a fall or another emergency.
Medical Guardian's medical alert devices have a 120-hour battery life, which is one of the longest in the industry. Many medical alert companies have medical alert systems that only have 24-hour battery lives and need to be charged every night, which can be a pain if you want to wear the medical alert device while you sleep. Having a longer battery life ensures you have more coverage with less difficutly.
Medical Guardian has customer service representatives waiting to assist you whether you have questions about ordering equipment or if you are experiencing difficulty operating the system. Members have the ability to order online or by calling in, and there is an online support team prepared to answer any questions.

In emergencies, you don’t always have access to a phone. Having a medical alert system means you can request help at any time with the press of a button. Medical alert services also make sure emergency responders have the necessary information they need to best assist you—information you may be unable to provide in an emergency situation. Medical Guardian’s monitoring center will keep your information on file and give emergency responders the details they need, including your exact location, your preferred hospital, any medications you’re taking, medical conditions you may have, etc.
Also, if it’s a non-emergency situation, Medical Guardian’s monitoring center can contact your listed caregiver to assist you rather than emergency responders.

The price was the best part of it all. That was why I went with it. I've never had to use it, but I do wear it. As far as the device goes, the watch's band is a little too small for my liking. Customer support was helpful when I needed to get a new holder for the button. They sent that out a new one to me right away and it all works fine. I did have a problem with the alert thing though. We called them and it took some 24 or 30 rings to get someone on their end to answer the phone. Still, it seems like a good product.
I happened to see a brochure about it in my doctor's office and after talking with my daughter we decided to call them. I've only had it for about a month and I haven't had to use it yet.
I got it mostly because I was encouraged to do so. I haven't had to use it, but I keep it with me just in case. I'm still getting used to bringing it with me wherever I go. Sometimes I go out with the piece around my neck but forget to take the piece that you use to communicate with them. It's got a bit of a learning curve. Every time I needed them they have been very accommodating and helpful. Their attitude seems to be just what it needs to be. It's an efficient service.
I heard about them and decided to sign up for it. I just got it two weeks ago and I use it whenever I'm in my house. I feel safe having it.
I got it in case I need it since I'm by myself a lot of the time. My wife works so the alert button is there so my son can come and help me. I have grown to trust them a lot. Whenever I call they get me the same manager and don't question me much. They are even willing to take the product back and give me a full reimbursement at any time if I ever want to discontinue the service. They always seem willing to answer any question I have. They're there to help me and always encourage me to test it at least once a month to make sure the device is working. I know that if something comes up later on, if I have an emergency or a crisis, I can give them a call with the button. I'm thankful that nothing has happened yet where I needed to use it, but I'm glad to have it if the need arises. Their rates are excellent and it has been worth the money that I spent on it. They've been very helpful.
I did some online research and they looked like the best rated one and the most responsive to customer service. So, I got it for my mother. They have been very responsive, starting when we were setting it up. When we tested they were very quick to respond too. The device is easy to set it up and use.
I have a home health nurse and she is the one that recommended that device. I'm over 93 years old and I manage the farm or barn so my children thought it would be a good thing for me to have. I haven't had to use it yet, and I do hope I don't have to, but I think it's great. It's a good device.
My daughter used to have one that wasn't working so she decided to get a different one for me. I had to use it on November 13th since my legs were bad and I fell. I pushed the button and they were pretty quick to get here and help me. I had to go to the hospital, but things went ok.
A friend recommended it to me. I've never had to use it or needed to contact customer support much but everyone has been very nice. The price seems to be a little high for the service though.
I checked around and found out they were the cheapest company out there. I've never had to use it, but customer service is good. They walked me through the set up and testing of the thing and were very helpful.
My children researched it and recommended this one for me. On a typical day I put it on in the morning when I get up and wear it all day, including when I go into the shower. I take it off at night and put it in the charger when I go to bed. I've been very satisfied with the people that I've spoken to. They get me the information and help that I need. I've been very pleased with their attitude, courtesy, and expertise.
My niece purchased it for my mother. The device is simple to use, though there has been a bit of a learning curve for my mother. She's 97 but they have been really helpful with explaining things if needed. You can always get through to a real person. So far she hasn't had to use it yet but we've tested it twice already.
My daughter ordered it for me. So far it has been great. Customer service was very patient with me the one time that I called them.
My husband had just had cancer surgery and kept falling out of bed, so I just kind of picked a service out of the phone book. We haven't had to use it yet, thank god, but customer service is always there for us. The device is easy to use, not complicated at all. It's just great and I have a peace of mind knowing that it's available at all times.
I got it for my patient since she was looking for something that she could use for life alert. I'm not sure if she has actually used it yet, but I know she tests it once a month or so. We had to go through them several times to get the right piece. It took us 3 attempts to get that sorted out and get the device that we wanted. Still, it's useful for the patient and money-wise, it's probably worth it.
The customer service and device are no good. It's not really working for me.
I had just fallen over in my apartment and it took three and a half hours of me yelling to get my neighbors to help me. They picked up the spare key, opened the door, and helped me to my bed, but I learned my lesson then. I didn't want to go through that ever again, so I went ahead and got it. The pendant is working for me and I'm very happy with the service so far. I haven't had to use it for an emergency yet but I have called in to confirm with two different people that the device is activated and working properly. If I need to use it for some reason I can just call them from the system and they'll come and find me. I've already paid them for the next 3 months but I do hope I never have to use it. The support team has been very helpful in getting everything set up and activated. I don't have to worry anymore about passing out, falling, and hitting my head on the floor. I'm hoping I won't need to use their services, but when I feel really dizzy I can just use it to call an ambulance and get picked up. I don't have to figure out how to get help when I get a dizzy spell.
I saw an advertisement about them on T.V. so I called them. I have it to wear it around the house and it's comfortable. If I need them they contact me right away. I still need to rearrange some things though.
I bring it with me wherever I go. I enjoy having it, it's very helpful.
I was having a lot of issues and medical problems at the time, so when I saw it on T.V. I decided to give them a call. On an occasion I fell and couldn't get up for about 30 minutes or so. I called them and they got there right away. They were very helpful and acted quickly. I felt like I wasn't alone. Everyone seems focused on working with you and I have had no problems so far. They are very professional and I'm very comfortable and happy with them. It is very handy to have.
I looked online and asked people their opinion as well before getting it. There was like a dollar or two of difference between them and other companies, so price wasn't really an issue. What mattered to me was their response time. When I had customer support do the set up I got a good response that came in a timely manner. It was all handled very nicely over the phone and they were very patient with me. We haven't had to use it but I wear it every day. It's a good thing.
Someone just called me on the phone about it and I decided to try it. I usually just use it in the evening but I haven't had to use it yet.
On an occasion I was out feeding alligators in the back yard and this big gator jumped out of the pond and latched onto my leg. I screamed for my wife to get it off me and she was able to get it off of me. They are always sending me money and I think we have a good relationship with them.
At the time I was pretty desperate trying to find something that would be helpful. I had just fallen and was on the floor for seven hours because I had nothing to contact people. Someone mentioned it to me so I went ahead and called them. It's all working well, so far I haven't had any problem. They respond pretty well. I set it off accidentally a couple of times and they were very quick to respond. They made sure I was alright and it went ok. I'm glad I have it, especially after the incident that I mentioned. I feel much better now.
I used to have that same thing before and since it worked out okay I decided to get it again. I haven't had to use it, but I wear it. It's easy to carry and wear, it doesn't really bother me. It's good as far as I can see though. It's there if I ever need it.
My daughter was the one that did the research. She thought it was good judging from a lady she talked to so she went ahead and got it for me. I really haven't had to use it yet, so I don't really know how it's going to work.
I just wear it during the day, though I haven't had to use it. They've done well though, and I know they'll take care of me if I can't get up. They've all been very good, nice and helpful.
I got it since it was so much cheaper than LifeAlert. I have not used it yet, but everyone I've talked to has been very nice and kind. They talk me through things and helped me get it all set up and ready when I got it.
I decided to get it for my dad after doing my internet research. Their GPS feature was what convinced me. He uses it all the time, 24/7. It has been working properly so far, though we haven't had it for long. They're very customer friendly and great over the phone. They always do what they say they are going to do.
I was told about it when I went to the hospital for something. I have not had to use it yet but I haven't had any problems with it. Everybody has been able to answer all my questions.
I looked at some reviews online and they were recommended as a good service so I decided to go ahead and get it. We've never had to use it, but that's just they way we'd rather things be. I hope I never actually have to use it, but we know that we can count on it if we need it. In a way it's like getting insurance.
We wanted to get something that my daughter could take with her instead of limiting her to the house. At first we had some issues with the equipment. Even though they were very nice and helpful, the thing kept saying that it wasn't charged. It took us almost two weeks to get them to send us a new one and send the other one back. After that apparently they called another family member about it and told them that I hadn't sent it back...Still, I'm very confident with it. I liked the fact that I could get text messages saying that the thing needed to be charged. We are confident that it would do what it's supposed to when we need it.
My husband had just had a knee replacement so I needed something like it in case we needed it. I just looked it up online and since it had a good rating I just went with them. The first time I called them, the person that I dealt with was very knowledgeable. We've never had to use it, but he wears it everyday. The device is ok but I do think the strap of the watch could be a little bit thicker than what it is. I've tested it and someone has answered right away, but other than that I have no idea how good they actually are.
I found it on the internet and saw it had fall protection. Since that was one of the main reasons I needed it for my mother I decided to get it. She uses it every day and its very comfortable. It's nice to know that everything she needs is bundled up in a nice and neat little package. They have been very responsive to any alert that comes up. The person that helped me set it up was very cordial and patient with me. It was all very smoothly done. The device is also easy to use. The only negative is that it's very sensitive so it picks up on every little thing that might qualify like a fall. This includes getting out of bed or rolling on it. Still, I'd rather have that than have it not pick up an actual fall.
I just went on the internet and fount it. It looks good to me so far. I haven't even gotten the thing out of the box since we're really busy. Still, the customer support we've had so far is good.
The people I usually speak with are very intelligent, responsive, and are good about answering my questions.
I actually got it for my father who passed away recently. He had a lot of health problems and was in and out of the hospital. When I found about Medical Guardian I thought it would make it a little bit easier for him. He used it once last Saturday since he was having severe chest pain and couldn't talk or breath. My mother pressed the button and they were very fast and effective on responding. It was very easy to use.
I researched them and Medical Guardian just had a lot more to offer than the other services. I had to use it once when I had really bad chest pains. I couldn't get up from my chair so I pushed the button. The lady that called me was really nice and had a very pleasant voice. I just explained to her what was happening and she called the emergency people. She also offered to stay on the line with me until they got there. The emergency personnel was there very quick and got there before she had even contacted the people in my emergency list. It's very simple to use, there's no viruses or computers or anything that you have to try and hook it up to. It's just a little tiny box.
It was recommended to me and I got it. I mostly use it when I travel out of town.
I saw an Ad on an magazine so I went and called them. They helped me get it all set up. I wear the device all day, even when I go out. It's good that they have the watch and the necklace as alternatives, but I think both of them are too big.
I saw three different services that offered what I needed for my mother. They just happened to be the first one that I called and I went with it. They started charging us for the service almost as soon as we signed up, but it took them a long time to get the device for us. We had to wait some three weeks till the device got here. Though in the end they actually gave us a free month because it had taken so long to get here. Fortunately she hasn't had to use it yet. I know that it's activated and everything but we don't really know how the response time is going to be. I think it could be cheaper.
I saw them on an advertisement and after comparing them I went with Medical Guardian. Usually I just put it on in the morning, stick it in my shirt, and that's about it. I don't have to worry about it. I've only used it once, but it worked very well.
I think it was the cost that led us to choose it. I usually put it on in the morning and keep it on all day. I don't really have problems with anything. So far it seems to work the way it's supposed to. I can't go away from home with it though.
I went with them because of the evaluations that they had online. Fortunately I haven't had to use it yet, knock on wood there, but I know that it's there if I ever need it. Everything is fine with it and I wear it every day, it's always fully charged. The device is very small so it's not obvious that I'm wearing it. Customer service is always there should I ever need it, which is very important to me since I'm handicapped.
My kids got it for me. I haven't had to use it yet but I know it's there if I need it.
I just went online and looked at things. They seemed to be the best so I just went ahead and got it. I have not used it yet, though I set it off by mistake once when I was drying something in the kitchen. They answered right away so it was ok. I guess it's ok.
I went with them since I didn't want to have a contract and they had good reviews. They have been very responsive and helpful so far. I have had some issues with the device's battery though, it's not really charging up.
I found it through reviews on Facebook and decided to try it. Thankfully I haven't had to use it yet, but I think it's good.
I researched it online and the customer service gentleman that I talked to convinced me. The customer service people have answered all of our questions and walked us through everything. We haven't had to use it yet though.
I saw it had a range of 270 ft which sounded ok and they had one device that I could carry with me, so I went with it. I've had the thing installed just some 3 or 4 days ago so I'm just starting to use it. So far it has been good. I got the thing that goes around my neck and the little modem thing that I can carry in my pocket, which is great because I'm kind of blind. Both are easy to manage though I'm still getting used to using it. Still, just the other day I went out and it was good to know that if I needed help all I needed to do was press the button. It gives me a lot of mobility. Their customer service people were very good about walking us through the set up of the thing and explaining everything.
