Every Medical Guardian medical alert system is identical in that they have a base station, a wearable emergency button, and provide two-way communication. Each system also has a backup battery that has a battery life of at least 24 hours. However, systems like the Mobile Guardian device operate on a cellular network that allows you to take the alert button and miniature base station anywhere.
Systems like the basic Classic Guardian operate on a landline connection and have an alert button that can be worn as a wristband or pendant. When the emergency button is activated, you're immediately put in contact with a representative at Medical Guardian's certified monitoring center. Here's a breakdown of each offered system:
This plan starts at $0.97 per day.
The Classic Guardian is the lowest priced package Medical Guardian offers. The medical alert system is meant to keep you safe in and around your home with a 1,300 range. The system connects to your landline phone and the medical alert device is a wearable waterproof button. The system includes a built-in speaker with two-way communication and power outage protection with a 32-hour backup battery.
This plan starts at $1.12 per day.
The Home Guardian is a wireless medical alert system that does not require a phone landline. The system works with a nationwide cellular network that gives you access to Medical Guardian's 24/7 monitoring center at any time. The system comes with a wearable medical alert button, which has a 600-foot range from the base station.
This plan starts at $2.58 per day.
The Family Guardian is meant to combine medical alert systems with activity monitoring. With three, in-home safety sensors, The Family Guardian keeps track of activity in the home each day. This is great for family members who want to check on their loved ones. The Family Guardian also comes with a mobile app that you can enable to send you instant notifications to your email or smartphone when one of the safety sensors detects a difference in your loved one's routine or when the help button is triggered. The Family Guardian includes a 1,300-foot range from the base station.

In addition to a variety of package offerings, Medical Guardian also has accessories you can add to your plan for a small fee. Prices for each product vary, but here is a list of the offered accessories:
Every Medical Guardian alert system offers fall detection except for the Mobile Guardian system. Fall detection pendants are equipped with a sensor that is triggered any time a fall occurs, which then immediately sends a signal to Medical Guardian's monitoring center informing them of the emergency.
Members may cancel their Medical Guardian services at any point without charge. As opposed to companies such as Life Alert, you won't be locked into any long-term contracts with the expectation of buying out. This allows customers to try out Medical Guardian to see if it is the right medical alert provider for them.
Medical Guardian offers a lifetime warranty on all its products. If for some reason the equipment is damaged or malfunctions, Medical Guardian will replace it free of charge. Having free equipment and a lifetime warranty on all products ensures money for equipment never has to come out of the customer's pocket.
100% of Medical Guardian's central station monitoring center operators are certified and committed to CSAA's five points of excellence. This can provide peace of mind to medical alert owners knowing they can rely on Medical Guardian's services. Medical Guardian is also UL Listed, FM approved, and ESA Security certified.
Service monitoring is 24/7, and Medical Guardian's fall detection can detect a fall without any action from the individual, so you don't need to worry about calling for help, as your device will do so on its own. Every system also offers two-way communication so in the case of an emergency, you can talk directly to Medical Guardian's monitoring center that is available 24/7.
Medical Guardian's home-based medical alert system has a 1,300-foot range. This is a much larger range than most medical alert providers out there who only offer closer to 600–1,000 feet of coverage from the base station. Medical Guardian's long range gives medical alert users more freedom in how far they can travel away from the base station while still having full coverage in case of a fall or another emergency.
Medical Guardian's medical alert devices have a 120-hour battery life, which is one of the longest in the industry. Many medical alert companies have medical alert systems that only have 24-hour battery lives and need to be charged every night, which can be a pain if you want to wear the medical alert device while you sleep. Having a longer battery life ensures you have more coverage with less difficutly.
Medical Guardian has customer service representatives waiting to assist you whether you have questions about ordering equipment or if you are experiencing difficulty operating the system. Members have the ability to order online or by calling in, and there is an online support team prepared to answer any questions.

The Freedom Guardian has various features to aid your health and safety as well as additional perks. Here are a few of the Freedom Guardian features to be aware of:
**Free equipment offer does not include the Freedom Guardian system.
While Medical Guardian does offer some of the best equipment and services in the industry, there are still some aspects of their service that require additional attention prior to purchasing. Medical Guardian does not offer an emergency device combo package at this time. This means that consumers will not be able to group multiple items together to receive a discounted rate.

How is Medical Guardian’s medical alert service different than calling 9-1-1?
In emergencies, you don’t always have access to a phone. Having a medical alert system means you can request help at any time with the press of a button. Medical alert services also make sure emergency responders have the necessary information they need to best assist you—information you may be unable to provide in an emergency situation. Medical Guardian’s monitoring center will keep your information on file and give emergency responders the details they need, including your exact location, your preferred hospital, any medications you’re taking, medical conditions you may have, etc.
Also, if it’s a non-emergency situation, Medical Guardian’s monitoring center can contact your listed caregiver to assist you rather than emergency responders.
It was not explained to me that I was only protected when I was at home. I needed a plan to protect me at the mall, at a grocery store, at a park etc., etc., etc. I spend a lot of time out and about and want to feel secure wherever I might be. This company just does not do that.
Chased the return label for over 2 months!
I've never an emergency but have responded quickly when I've called.
very impressed with handling our emergency
set up came up as another person, but after that it worked as it needed to.
Dependable, friendly service, willingness to help & answer all questions.
Quick response time, quick notification of family. One day turnaround when replacing broken equipment.
On the ball really there even when it was a mis dialed call. They follow up and they keep on the line to make sure you are ok.
It works! Just push the button. Great customer service
Paul in Sales was so understanding and kind. The response time is excellent.

immediate service when needed
Everything OK so far, helpful staff. Have not yet needed real-life help, only periodic check-ins
The set up is so easy. Staff answers all your questions and soooo patient!!
reasonable, up front costs, no hidden fees. Felt confident when my mom had it on and I knew she could get help right away
Would like the alert "button" to be less bulky. I haven't needed to contact for help, but when I did accidently activate the alarm, it was promptly answered by your staff!
Very friendly to work with. Quick to respond.
Prompt response to monthly testing.
I haven't had to use it just check in monthly and equipment works well
Instant response. Fortunately not needed NOW. However feel Very safe having it by my side.. L.Solanch
I still do not have my paper bill yet which has been requested over and over, then I come up looking unpaid. Please follow thru!
response time and communication with family members
Good, but not great. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes for them to respond. I think that is too long.
Easy to work with. Good system. Price competove
great customer service - responsive
When testing unit seems a long time before a person answers
While my mother-in-law never fell, we tested the system many times. The operators where always prompt and polite.
I have not had to be in need of help, so have only a testing use to go on. From my test use I feel a response from ur operator should be after the second auto response.
I noticed your response time from the time my wife's unit goes off to the time she hears from you is almost immediate. Thank you.
It's nice to know some one is here for me if I needed help. Plus when I first talked to the guy about the company he was very nice alot of people aren't that way
Good service when I needed them
I never actually needed for emergency. Just having it available was all I needed. Husband has ALS and I was afraid of falls and with the wrist band I felt he was protected the few times a week I was out of the house. Good (rental) purchase.
I have not had to use my system but when I do an equipment check they are very polite and ask all the right questions.
The system is great. The challenge is to get my mother to wear it, push the button when she should.
Too expensive and to cumbersome!
I cannot figure out how to terminate the service. It does not appear to be convenient in any way,
They're very helpful people, and although speaking to them was good, I'm still looking into other alternatives for my father.
It seems like it would supply my needs. It's efficient, a little expensive, but otherwise, I was happy with what I heard about it. Plus, their representative was excellent.
My mother wanted a safeguard when she's by herself, and considering she has some health issues, we decided to get her Medical Guardian. It was a simple device that she could carry with her everywhere, without needing a whole lot of other complicated connections. It was an easy to use product, and they had great consumer ratings. On top of that, the system was very easy to set up, and their agents were very professional.
I felt like they had everything that my mother needed, and I felt like they were responsive to my questions and my concerns. The representative was very good, and it was a positive experience, so I signed up.
My son purchased Medical Guardian for me. I keep it in my pocket, and I haven't had to use it. My suggestion for the company would be to make the device that you carry smaller.
We switched to Medical Guardian because they had a lot of features that the one I was using before doesn't have. So far I'm pleased with what I've gotten, and how it should work if I need it. It was purchased for me by my daughter because she couldn't be with me all the time. She wanted to make sure that I could get help if I needed it, since I've had a couple of medical problems in the past. Thank God I haven't had to use it yet. I wear it all day, everyday, in case something happens. I take the GPS thing whenever I leave the house. I go to doctor's appointments and therapy appointments and once in a while I get to go out for lunch while wearing it.
It was very nice speaking with them. They were very understanding, they explained everything to me and it was fine. They were very good to me. I'm not as steady as I used to be and there are times when I wouldn't be able to call my family that I live with, so I thought this would make me a little more independent. I wear it all the time, so I feel it's made me feel very comfortable and more confident than when I didn't have anything. I've been very lucky. I haven't had to use it, except for when I hit it by accident and it called them, which was embarrassing, but we got it all straightened out.
I got the device for someone else; I just make sure they're wearing it. After speaking with a representative, it seems very good for them. It's been a good experience.
I just put it on in the morning and go. The Medical Guardian Representative is excellent
I wear it everyday because I have a fall risk. I used it once just a couple of weeks ago when I fell. They've really done good for me. Speaking with their representative was good; it was very informative.
I have it on my wrist 24/7, and anytime I go any place I take my charger. I got it for myself 6 weeks ago because my husband just died 7 weeks ago, and I'm alone in the house. I do have some health issues and I just wanted to be safer. I've never used it yet; In the next day or two I'll call in for my monthly check-in but nothing other than that. My son spoke to their representative and he had no problems.
It's for my mother, and she wears it all the time. It's good for her, especially because she lives alone. She used it once already, and the response time was quick, so it's been a positive service.
