Charter Spectrum, also known as Spectrum, has been operating since 1993 and is a household name in the United States. The company, which recently merged with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, serves more than six million people, making it the fourth largest cable company and one of the largest in the country.
Charter Spectrum provides internet speeds up to 60 Mbps with no data caps. Its internet service requires a one-year contract.
Spectrum offers services in a huge span of the country, especially compared to other internet service providers.
Charter has been able to grow rapidly in just a few decades, attributing this success in part to its customer service commitment. That commitment involves a fast broadband network and all the tools necessary to meet internet connection needs.
The Charter Spectrum team is willing to help their customers in any way they can to have a positive experience with their company. They offer cable and fiber-optic internet plans.
Spectrum internet doesn't limit its customers with data caps. A lot of competitors have data limits, and when customers go over these limits they pay fees or their services are disrupted. It's a convenience worth looking into, and this feature alone may be what steers you to Spectrum.
The Spectrum internet team knows losing internet service can mean losing time and money. At some point, you'll probably need a technician to come to your home or business to work on network equipment.
Many companies who send out technicians leave the time window wide open and make the customer wait for hours for the technician. Thankfully, Charter Spectrum is different. They set a two hour window that the technician will be there. If the technician does not make the allotted time, Charter Spectrum will pay the customer $20.
They also have a 30-day money-back guarantee their customers can take advantage of if they are not satisfied with their service or the products they receive.
Spectrum offers fiber-optic business internet for companies who want a fast connection for phone, internet, and TV service. Spectrum Enterprise also delivers cloud services for their business customers.
While Spectrum may not have a variety of standalone internet packages, they do have several options that can help you bundle internet, phone service, and cable channels:
While Spectrum does charge a fee to lease a router and another fee for installation, the company is more transparent than some service providers in the industry. Be sure to read contract terms thoroughly and take time to understand billing, your monthly rate, and whether you'll pay more after a certain duration of service.
Most internet service providers try to meet various audience needs by offering many different plans and bundles. These packages usually have a large selection of internet speeds (download and upload speeds), features, and prices to choose from. With all of these options, you're more likely to find the best fit for your specific internet and pricing needs. This is not the case with Spectrum internet, as they only offer their customers one package:
If you're only looking for internet and this package doesn't impress you, you'll need to choose another ISP.
However, you may be interested in Spectrum's internet and cable TV bundling options.
Charter Spectrum offers an internet speed of 60 Mbps. Some competitors offer high-speed internet up to 1 Gbps for slightly higher prices. Potential customers will have to decide what speed they need and if Spectrum internet service is capable of delivering these needs.

because the service is ok a lot of drop off and 2 or 3G in this area
No issues with customer service. Speed has not been an issue.
They're good enough to get the job done, but I'm sure it could be better and faster. They're satisfactory.
Constantly attempting to UP their rate after the initial recruitment offer. Cannot be trusted with auto-draft.
There are few companies worse than Spectrum (old Time Warner). The internet regularly cuts out...they charge us a ton of money to rent a really old router (which is our fault, we could just buy one)...and then they raise prices on us and don't increase internet speed. We don't have another alternative though because they are the only provider for our apartment. They are truly the worse.
Like all others just slightly more affordable

I am not getting anywhere near the speed they advertise for internet and I have a hundred channels of TV I never watch but am denied a better deal because I have to give up all service for 30 days to qualify.
Both reliability and speed are truly great
Well, I would give less than a 1 to the experiences I have had with Charter over the years. But, my last experience with Spectrum would be a 5. They have definately upgraded their attitude and customer service since the purchase.
Reasonably responsive and high quality picture.
They give the best service for the price compared to other related companies
they suck. Told me there was no cheaper plan than $113/mo then solicited me for $15/mo but told me I didn't qualify because I already signed up for the other plan
Fast and always reliable the way it should always be
Reliable and service is great. When I had a problem they were here the next day and fixed the problem
I don't like the black back ground, it makes it harder to see.
They have pretty good tv and internet, but their billing is so high and expensive!
I've always used them. Never try any other provider because it was a bundle deal with my cable.
Cable internet can't be beat. Always ready and fast
Cost is too high with many channels I don't watch
They change the bill every month never the same
When I had a problem they came quickly and fixed the problem
After husband and I split I put cable in my name. Paid two months bills and service was put on hold because he did not pay his bill off. Although my balance is zero I am being held accountable. Been with them a long time but will be looking for service elsewhere. How does a company punish someone that pays their bill.
We have had charter for a number of years now. And the internet used to be pretty reliable. Lately we have been having to unplug our router over and over to get it to work sometimes. They also have not treated their techs very well, in the area we live.
Too much $$$ for what u get. Other companies offer equal at lower rates
The price and lower speed then I hesr Comcast has. Charter Spectrum is the only cable service in my area.
I have steady streaming with no interruptions. The internet is fast & does not have on...off....on...off signals, which is maddening.
Have a few times it goes out. Getting a tech is sometimes hard
Each time there has been a problem it has been addressed quickly and efficiently.

Good service and options. Less one star for prices. Customer Service is lacking in knowledge of services
Great Service and VERY LITTLE Downtime (would be up 100% Except for Southern Storms)
Good speed, reliable , reasonable price, responsive services

I think they charge too much and I had too many problems. Switched to Frontier.
Just like Time Warner, they are overpriced and I hate outsourcing customer service.
There speed is not, in my opinion, as it should be.
very good customer service was easy to deal with and professional.
Service is good ,but the price keeps going up
Overpriced. Poor performance. DVR unreliable

price is high but at least they're reliable. they never go down.
It's fast and even when other electronic issues arise in our home 98% of the time our internet is still going strong
Exceptional speed and versatility. You can use their Wi-Fi at over 500,000 Spectrum locations all over this country. Great value for the price. Wonderful Technical Support.
Fast easy no lies unlike previous provider very easy to get and super fast
Good service and strength of signal. And because they are the local provider
Sometimes it's slower. It also tend to buffer when i'm streaming. But cable tells me i'm in the higher internet speed. I find it hard to belive. I may need a new router, but the Spectrum Co. Is't as friendly as Time Warner

Internet service/cable/telephone most of time handle issues promptly
Good high speed but won't let you stream on network websites unless you purchase their cable.
No problems, fast Internet Speed, good telephone line
Finding an Internet Service Provider (ISP) is always a tough task especially when taking into account cost to quality. Spectrum is quality internet service provider but at a whopping $70 a month unbundled, is it really worth it? Not all customers are in need of cable, telephone and internet services. It would be nice to see Spectrum offer individual packages free of disadvantageous prices to a non-bundle. Also, everyone could benefit from a customer loyalty discount. Overall their service is great but it would be even better at a somewhat reduced price point.
Actual intenet access is good; the customer service on the TV side is horrendous!
Because it works well even though Wi-Fi struggles at time
Spectrum is Just ok... nothing special about it at all. TWC offered a 'whole-house' DVR plan which was GREAT. Spectrum doesn't offer that plan
