Sometimes it's slower. It also tend to buffer when i'm streaming. But cable tells me i'm in the higher internet speed. I find it hard to belive. I may need a new router, but the Spectrum Co. Is't as friendly as Time Warner

Spectrum, formerly TWC offered a service for Gigabit with an installation fee of 199.00. They had stated that the cost of the installation fee to put in my house was for the Fiber that had to be pulled for the Gigabit service. Ordered on 19th of Jan and they installed on the 28th of Jan. Service tech came and installed a new cable modem and that was it, not pulling of or installing Fiber as was stated for the fee. Called later that night of 28th and told them of what happened and that there was no installation of Fiber as was stated and that it was just the install of a cable modem. Customer service person , Jamie stated that they had a promotion on Jan 23rd to waive installation and that she put it in to have the installation waived for me. Received bill on 10th of Feb to find that the installation was not waived. Called "Customer Support" and they said that the waive was denied by leadership team. Asked to speak to leadership and spoke to Brian. He stated they denied because I agreed to the installation fee at the time before they had the promotional installation waive and that even though the installation was done after the start of promotional waive, it was not going to be honored. Very poor customer service from "leadership team" not even willing to work with a long standing customer from legacy. Not the most professional way to keep customers with their bait and switch tactic. They knew they were gonna have the promotion even when I ordered, but did not tell me so they can bring up the "you agreed to the installation charge". Do not trust Spectrum and if you are customer currently go somewhere else.

NIGHTMARE IN MILTON NC My sister decided to get Charter for her ISP after searching the net all week. Charter came out Friday (May 8, 2015) and installed their wireless internet service. The Charter tech that came out alone was very young she told me and had a hard time getting internet to work. After he made some changes on her new laptop he said, "At least you got internet." And my sister said she didn't know why he made a strange statement like that. Mind you, she never had any internet service at home. She always went to McDonald's restaurant to use her laptop without any issues. Well after the Charter technician left and she tried using the web her computer was bum bared with adwares, unpermitted downloads and many Trojans!!! Of course, she panicked and didn't know to do. I helped her clean all the crap off after installing a wonderful anti virus software. We went through all her laptop settings to make sure Firewall & IE Options were set securely. Everything was working great....until she got back home and hooked Charter ISP up again to go online and here they again: adwares, popup ads, etc. She called Charter & told customer service rep what is happening and the woman told her that their tech forgot to setup an online security software and told my sister to call HP to help her get rid of the junk that keeps bum baring her laptop. I told her this is NOT an HP laptop problem, this is a Charter ISP sorry equipment problem. My ISP is CenturyLink and I have never had a problem like that-never!!!! This is a feedback to Chapter CEO and a warning to anyone thinking about choosing this company for your internet service provider. Chapter needs to get up off their butts, if the company has any integrity and send a skilled tech out to fix this problem or cancel the services if they can't get it fixed right asap!

They are better than anyone else in the area, but our internet goes out frequently and have to reset box. Each tech that comes out says they've fixed the problem, whether they've put in new wiring somewhere or replaced a box. But the problem always comes back within a few hours - weeks. Also the jump from their introductory rate to 1 year later is shameful! Every year you have to leave for a few weeks/months or threaten to leave (once you've shown you will follow through) to get the price back down to less than absolute robbery!

Overall satisfied with Spectrum. There is internet outages sometimes, but they are good about notifying customers about the outages and when they will be resolved. Only giving 4 stars instead of 5, as I think they could reduce there monthly rate a bit.

Spectrum has been a good company when it comes internet as far as reliability. During severe storms the signals usual still works and if not, the outage is not king. I do not like the constant price increase. As far as cellular prices are ridiculous high, but again reliability is great.

They have been ok for 2 years, when I have experienced issues or down service and called in to investigate it seems they were already aware which was helpful. I live in a new construction area so there were outages a lot in the first year or so but were resolved timely and have since slowed down.

While we are happy to have internet, sometimes our wifi drops the connection. I have had to take my phone to work in order to receive the updates. Spectrum is competitive with its rates and we have enjoyed having dependable wifi and interent.

Spectrum has been generally good for the year and a half we have used their service for home internet. Recently (2nd quarter of '23) we seem to notice slowness/pages not loading, but there are so many variables we cannot definitively attribute this to a Spectrum problem.

Been using Spectrum for at least the last 10 years . It’s slower than expected due to the cost of it, but that’s because it’s so many customers and not any other internet service providers in my local area. I think the price is sort of high compared to other companies which is not available on my side of town. But again it’s all we have in my neighborhood, which is the east side of Cleveland. I just wish it wouldn’t buffer so much during my favorite shows. Spectrum should also do something for their loyal customers to show appreciation.

All cable companies are bad at what they do for what you pay, I've had them all,cant continue changing accounts all the time,outages often 3yrs in this residence, have had them here minimum of 20 times,and at least 50 calls, and billing not good 3 separate times payment went to different accounts, service disconnected twice,even after they said it wouldn't be.

We had spectrum internet before we switched to AT&t fiber. I cannot remember what speed we had but it was the fastest that they offered. It dropped often. However, we did try the fastest speed AT&t had before Fiber and that was slower.

The only reason I do not use them now is because I could get another internet service in my new apartment which is cheaper, faster, and supposed to be more reliable than Spectrum. I am able to get 1 gig with a different provider for the same price as half a gig with Spectrum.

It was really hard to find a plan that was straightforward and transparently cheap enough once the bill came to actually afford. Had some difficulty getting everything up and running and was still billed for the whole time we were evacuated from the wildfires. The bill is now in collection. Decent actual cable and internet though if you can afford it and if you get a straight quote stating what you're actually gonna pay.

Spectrum's customer service is hit or miss, usually miss, unfortunately, because apparently, they pressure their customer service reps to sell more stuff and services when customers call to complain about the cable or internet being down. But at least their technicians are competent and at least in my experience aren't trying to sell more things or services to you!

We have Spectrum in our area and for the most part, the service is very good. Installation has become a problem because they have been outsourcing the installers and the communication between the 3rd party providers and customers is clumsy leaving long gaps (sometimes days) between order and service. Customer Service generally very good but wait times over very long. Plan to wait at least an hour to get your issue including billing resolved.

Overall they are a solid company providing us with internet, cable TV and phone service. Their techs are not professional and can be very irritating and downright lazy when doing installations. Their pricing is tricky and you have to jump through many hoops to find a decent deal. On top of that, you have to renegotiate a deal every 12 months instead of them offering longtime customers deals that lasted. Oh well.

Spectrum is sub-par. I have experienced both a business and personal account through spectrum and received equally ok internet and customer service. Patchy reception, frequent outages, and hidden fees are the first three words that come to mind with the people Internet that is provided. Customer service inquiries can take upwards to 1-2 hours to speak with someone. I will say they are always friendly at the service center and the techs are as well - it’s more a company issue than an employee - like most. Overall there is not much to choose in the ME areas, so it gets the job done.

Bought a house and Spectrum was the only provider in the area. Due to experiences with Comcast and Verizon I was not enthusiastic, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I have a great internet connection for a relatively low price. Initially I was besieged with marketing for additional services, but that was easy to remedy.
