When I requested cancellation of my 5-year PREPAID warranty with Liberty Home Guard, they imposed an "Administrative fee" of $355, thus reducing the amount owed from $1,047. to $642. Lesson Learned....Don't pre-pay your warranty. If I had signed-up for monthly payments instead, they would not have had the opportunity to deduct from what is owed. Yes, the policy does refer to a cancellation fee of $50 and an Administrative fee, but the Administrative fee is not articulated, so it leaves the matter open for a "money grab."

Do not purchase this if you think that the labor to fix a part that is broken is included. Have never never seen a warranty service for any item that does not include labor to fix the broken part. They are basically selling a parts warranty. You find out later right after the part is ordered and then try to hit you with an exorbitant fee. I filed for my money back. STAY AWAY from Liberty, totally unethical.

After I called it was four days for technician to show up. A part was ordered that took several days to show up. It took several days for technician to show up to put on part. The control board did not fix problem (Saturday). Monday I called Liberty and was told the department that reviews reports from technicians will two to three days. I was charged for the installation of the part that did not work. What a circus.

Expect your urgent emergency claims to be treated with the lowest priority and your calls/emails to be ignored. Don't believe the sales reps when they assure you prompt assignments with in 24-48 hours we have never had a claim resolved in less than 14 days, in some cases they take over a month to get someone assigned. During that time you'll be repeatedly told someone will get back to you same day, they never will.

Did Liberty Home Guard PAY for the review you gave them on your web site? This company is DISGUSTING. I am a disabled veteran and I filed a claim for the furnace in my home a month ago. They have been giving me a total runaround and claiming that the furnace is too old to repair, and that they will make a "significant contribution" to the cost. That is BREACH OF CONTRACT, my furnace only needs a part that can be purchased today from the same manufacturer, Beckett. Your review is FAKE and clearly they PAID for you to publish it! Shame on you!
