When I call in and make a claim it takes probably 2 weeks to get a provider out there to look at my broken appliances. I have tried to call them directly and it takes forever, so I do a lot online because of the convenience and less hold time. I used my warranty probably about 3 weeks ago and a provider come out around 2 weeks after I called. They looked at it they diagnosed it saying that I needed the part and pretty much ordered the part and we waited for the provider to come and install the part and that took another two weeks.

Their communication can be confusing. And it's hard to get a live person to speak to. And when you do, they often can't answer your questions and you have to wait for another e-mail to call another day to talk to someone else. I'm actually in the process of trying to use my warranty now and trying to get clarification on what they're covering as far as my trying to get an air conditioner unit repaired/replaced. I'm not really understanding why I'm paying for home warranty if they're not going to take care of things.

I'm thinking seriously of seeing about getting a refund because I have put in a claim and I'm hoping to get some service tomorrow and I'll see how that turns out and I'll know whether or not I'm canceling with it or not. It's an old water heater and we want to have it replaced, but I don't know if they'll do that or not. The people that they have sent out in the past have been very good. When our AC went out we had to wait 5 days for the technician to come out, and then he fixed it in 15 minutes. I think they have so many people calling and they don't have enough employees to handle the volume of calls.

I've had issues where they've called somebody out to do some work and then the technicians don't let me know that they're going to be late or they just show up when they weren't scheduled and so I guess scheduling issues. I needed to use it for my stove and for my microwave. And with the microwave, the company that was here, there was a problem with the microwave because he was fixing it and it started smoking. So he had to take it in to their shop and when he brought it back he had to put 2 silver screws in the front of the black surface.

In both incidents that I requested assistance, they did send someone. The first time I called them about the warranty. It took a couple of days to find someone and when they did, they didn't go through with the service tech's recommendation, it was denied. The 2nd time I was highly satisfied. Sometimes I'd be in a long extended hold.

I've had them for five years and they are easy to work with. They get right on the problem and get somebody out quickly. The dishwasher wasn't draining and they sent somebody out and they changed the pump system immediately and got me back into business within 24 hours.

Service was the next day of filing the claim. However, when it was decided that a necessary part was unobtainable, they said my microwave had to be replaced and they would send me a Lowe's voucher for $191 to cover the cost of a new microwave of my choice. First, that will only cover half the cost of replacing the one we had with something comparable in functions. Secondly, it will take up to 30 days to issue the email $191 coupon to use at Lowe's (no choice of where I can buy the new microwave). In the meantime, I sit with no microwave. Maybe I gave you too many stars!

I like being able to talk to a person and a lot of times you have to go through an automated thing to get to a person or you have to schedule your claim online. I really think they're a great company. They've been very good to us and have been fair to us.

I had a ceiling fan that was not working. The light would come on but the motor I guess was blown out. I called for an electrician to come out. It took a minute, but I guess that's not their fault. They really just have to find someone to come for the claim. It was a really good experience.

They give me a discount on somethings, but don't cover it all. I have also had experiences that they came out very quickly and made the repairs and it was done. The guy that replaced my hot water heater did an excellent job. It was a very good quality hot water heater replacement and it was quick.

I've had some experiences with choice home warranty that I thought should have been better. We had an air conditioning problem, we have two air conditioners and they would only fix one of them. I had to call back here just recently to get the other one fixed and it was a separate charge. I had an experience before where I had a toilet that was leaking and the guy came out and he fixed three toilets that needed fixing on one service call. The people that come out and do the service are for the most part very competent.

The last guy that came out did an excellent job. We had a bathtub backed up with water and I put in a service call and they sent out a plumber who charged me as soon as he came through the door and went in the bathroom and didn't do anything. I used our personal towels to soak up dirty water that was backed up in the bathtub. Tried to charge us $450 to clear the the drain after charging the $75 deductible or copay, whatever that is. And when I called to complain, they just said, he can charge as soon as he walks in the door. There's nothing they can do about it.

CHW has been great until I recently filed a refrigerator claim. It took over a month and four technicians later to finally offer a buyout. By this time I had to throw away much food because of the looooong delay. You would think that, after all that I had encountered from 5/28/2023 until 7/11/2023, they would have expedited the payment. I am still waiting as of 7/18/2023.

Still awaiting my recent claim #204303536 to be completed. The CHW fixed my airflow in my ductwork, but hasn’t repaired/fixed the drywall in the ceiling where the vent was removed. The opening in the drywall vent will not support the screws hat secure the vent.

Easy to submit a claim, the technicians are knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly but it takes a long time to actually get a technician to your home. They have an option to pay your own tech yourself and get reimbursed but I never use that option.

I did not like that I had to pay over $400 dollars to get the water heater installed. I was also charged two separate fees for a water heater consultationtion and to fix the garbage disposal and as far as I was concerned it was still a plumbing issue. He did not even replace the garbage disposal but twisted something and then said it was fixed. I called on Tuesday morning to say that I had an emergency with the water heater. Someone showed up on Wednesday and said that I needed a new water heater and I had to wait until Monday to finally get it installed. That means I was without hot water or water in my kitchen for 5 1/2 days.

I had an appointment on 7/7 to fix my dishwasher. The tech was unable to correct the problem because a plumber needs to connect the hose to the garbage disposal. Never the less I paid him $65. He said he would explain the problem an I should not have to pay another $65 to repair the same appliance. He also said he would see that the proper tech is rescheduled. As of now I have not received a reply.

I'm very pleased with the ease of filing a claim. Choice reaches out to their "vendors" and they come out to fix the issue. Some take longer than others i.e. a few days to a little over a week but the problem gets fixed. If I hire my own service man then choice is fairly quick in reimbursing me.

I don’t like when a plumber comes and collects the 65.00 service fee and does not fix the problem. I have a tankless water heater and it has gone out a couple times, no hot water, I unplug it and it works ok. There is obviously something wrong. Plumber could not fix it because I did not have an error code. He of course collected the service fee, he could have called and told me this over the phone. Home warranties are a racket, I may ask for my money back since I paid in advance, not impressed. I also have not been reimbursed for a faucet I bought a month ago. I don’t think the providers Choice uses are the best in the business, they probably wouldn’t be working for a warranty company if they were.

They were very good. I just recently had a problem with my dryer. It was taken care of the same day without any hassle. I filed my claim online and within few hours the tech called and it was all taken care of the same day. So there were couple of incidences when I was kind of disappointed. Once it took them about 3 weeks for them to find somebody to do the work for my furnace. For some things the Choice was excellent, for others not so much.

Everything good except that you cannot get vendors in this area. It requires me to find the vendor and then it takes forever to get paid from Choice. A couple of times I had a leak in the faucet and they could not get the vendor to do the repair work. I was forced to get my own and and go through all the work of turned in a claim waiting or when the vendor comes fill out the documents and then send it in, get a copy of their invoice, send that in. And so it's just a lot of work when they don't have a vendor to provide the service.

They've been very quick to pick up the telephone. I called in and the person that I spoke to connected me to a representative who asked a few simple questions about the claim, like what type of claim it was and what type of products and what the issue is and they basically submitted the claim for me. The two instances that I've had to use the service so far I thought the service would be same day service, but then I found out that it's like 3-4 days later. It's a little bit of a wait for service and that's not what I was told when I initially enrolled. The technicians have been great.

I don't know why, but they keep raising our monthly price. Quality is fine. This past week we had a stove repair. We called the warranty company. The service man give us a time and a date, but he did not come when he said he would and so we got another day and it's an 8 hour time frame from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM And I think that's ridiculous. You have to tie up somebody's whole day waiting on the service man. Sometimes they are on time and sometimes they are not.

I typically get good service. I did have an incident with a plumber. The toilet had to be reset and the plumber came out and did an assessment and he never came back, so I had to contact Choice to send somebody else out and they made the repair, so I didn't have any problem after that.

During the height of the COVID I needed a repair of some kind and they could not get anybody in here to help me with it. It was kind of a kind of a dire situation. I ended up having to pay out of pocket for a repair person because the company would not send somebody out. Sometimes I have difficulty understanding the people who answer the phones. There's a lot of static on the line and the accents are very thick and I keep being reassured that everybody's from New Jersey.

I just go online and submit my ticket. Whenever I have to use my warranty and then I get a text message that's been assigned to something or an e-mail that's been assigned to to a repair person. The first service I recieved was not good, it took the guy three times to fix it. The last guy that came was phenomenal.
