We had a refrigerator issue and we had the technician come out four times and they never got it fixed. And then they said, well, it has to be replaced. So then we went to find a refrigerator and Choice said they were going to replace it and they were going to send us a check for $986 when the refrigerator cost $1700. And we still haven't gotten the $986. They want their payment on time all the time but they don't want to pay on time. They go out and take 30 days. If I told them it's going to take 30 days to make a payment to you, they would cancel my policy. We were kind of upset about that. We just had a plumbing leak in our house, so we called them again. We had a plumber show up, sit there with his hands on his hip, looked at the ceiling and said, yeah, you got a leak. But we can't do anything about it because the ceilings got to be opened up and then he wanted $85 for showing up and standing there with his hands on his hips. I said, Jesus, what is going on with these people? You want to get paid for doing nothing. They choose the cheapest companies that they can find to do the work. And it doesn't get done.

One representative I talked to, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Some of the customer services are real polite and understandable and I'd like to commend them. Then you have some that don't have time for you. Recently, my air conditioner was out and so they referred me to get my own because they were filled up. And when I tried to get my own they were supposed to give me a reimbursement, but I had a problem with getting it.

I've had generally good interactions with them, but there are hold times and things of that sort as well. I had an air conditioner out in my garage apartment. I was able to file a claim online. The technician was located and sent to my house. He assessed the problem and was able to fix it by replacing the thermostat.

Sometimes I try to get service and it takes a long time, but then when they do get to the service, they really do a good job. I needed a washing machine so I kept calling and calling and the service man came out and said he can't fix it. So they did tell me to go ahead and get the washing machine and they'd send a payment back, which they did.

Choice Home Warranty USED to be an excellent service company but several dealings with them have left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Roof repairs, part of their supposed service, never got taken care of. Had to resort to doing it outside of their no response time frame. Central Air Conditioning mechanical failures that they couldnt seem to cover. Appliance that they couldn't repair and they sent a check, supposedly , that I never received and they claim they have cancelled but won't show the proof. Just shady business dealings which I find tacky at best. Then you have their recommended repair company ie: Valley View Electric charging me for 2 service calls because they didn't diagnose the exhaust fan in the attic as the one that was defective so they decided they wouldn't replace the defective unit unless I paid an additional service charge that is suppose to be totally not allowed. Get the picture?

My recent past experience has not been great. First of all they take too long to get a technician out to fix my air. When I finally got to come out he didn't know what he was doing and I had to end up getting my own technician. They deducted another service fee from the amount I paid him. Which I shouldn't had to pay a service fee because it was the same claim. I had another claim for my toilet and the technician came out to fix it and found another problem which was minor but they told them that I would have to make another claim. This didn't make sense because they was already there to fix the toilet. Now the went up on my monthly fee without even notifying me.

I don't understand why that a company out of Tampa which is across the bay was dispatched to Largo however they were very good in communicating with me and they arrived on time as promised. I was at work and had my neighbors at the house and the repairman would not tell me anything over the phone as far as what was wrong or what he did he did not leave a detailed bill. Other than that the refrigerator is working he did not leave a mess everything was fine. He was at the house less than 30 minutes I believe

I put in a claim on a Sunday morning while washing dishes notice water dripping thru garbage disposal, made a claim online an within the hour a plumbing company called to arrange a service call on Monday morning, We had Doctor appointment on Monday and Tuesday so plumber came an replace disposal on Wednesday, great and quick job. Thanks Choice Home Warranty.

Alvin was pleasant and professional. He verified the information I had read on line so that I could be certain that items on previous warranty with different company were covered. My home warranty with Choice will be in effect the day my old Warrenty expires, After an extremely frustrating conversation with old warranty company it was so nice to speak with someone who had the experience and the knowledge to act so professionally. I was very hesitant to go with another warranty company. I’ve had the worst experience with all others well, I had to use it for the first time yesterday and it was a very good experience. I will always request this technician. He was very professional and very efficient. I’m hoping moving forward I have the same Experience with all my repairs I have two houses with them

I only have one big problem with Choice HW, we had a Microwave oven fail and the repair cost was too high for the age of the product. so a payment was offered to replace the unit. but it had to be at Lowes with a credit code from CHW to cover some of the cost: good so far, BUT it took over 3 weeks to get the credit code to Lowes, then to get a matching (my other appliances ) unit I had to wait another 15 to 18 days to get the unit to the store, then wait for installation. We were without a critical appliance from 12/25/23 until the final installation on 2/16/24. That's about 50 days. now the only thing CHW controls in this process is getting the credit to Lowes and getting them to move to your customer in a much more timely manner.

Selecting CHOICE Home Warranty was the best decision I've made when buying my house 2 years ago. I filed my first claim last week. Within a few days I received ab email confirming the date and time a technician was coming. The young man from LIVE Electronics arrived when scheduled. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He did not find anything major wrong, but suggested I replace the gasket, which he has ordered. He also told me if it leaks again , to try and determine whether it's leaking from the sides or bottom.

It took a bit to get to the resolution department with each call however once in that department the staff was very pleasant and helpful to satisfy my needs. I highly rate and thank the 3 Resolution Specialist that assisted me.. The only complaint is that the Customer Service staff is very hard to understand and over talks when I was trying to explain my situation.

The tech was prompt, courteous, respectful, and polite. The tech walked in, I told him what the problem was, and he entered the room where the dryer was and performed his observation. He took about 20 minutes, and he explained the problem. He said he had to make a phone call for approval. He explained which part he needs to finish the job. After another 20 minutes, he came back in with the part and proceed to complete the job. Within another 20 to 30 minutes the job was done.

I liked when Mr Henry O, came to my home that he was on time and ready to go to work. Henry requested information about the issue that I was facing. I gave him all of the information that he had requested to possibly get the job done. Henry was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what needed to be done. He ordered the part, came back to home on February 5, 2024; completed the job and told me that there would not be a charge , because of me being a home Choice Warranty. Mr O made my day. Quick response, great group of businesses they partner with for repairs. We had Drum with NIB Doors come out, and he was very personable and experienced. He replaced the spring on our garage door quickly and he checked other features of our door to make sure everything else was working properly. We don't have a way to make our garage light stay on so my husband stood in front of the sensor while Drum worked, and Drum talked him through all of the steps. We appreciate him educating us while he was here.

Easy to make a claim and quick response to set up technician visit. Technician was prompt and curteous and quickly diagnosed the problem. He also determined that the faulty compressor on the LG refrigerator is covered by the manufacturers warranty. He ordered the parts before he left my house and scheduled an installation appointment.
