Choice is easy to submit a claim and quick to respond. I had a technician come to my house within 2 days to fix the problem. I’ve had another home warranty service prior to choice and they would never send anyone out. I ended up calling on my own and then they wouldn’t cover services. Choice is the best that I have experienced. My friend also has Choice as well and raved about them as well. Thank you!

Company is responsive to fixing my problems on a timely basis with qualified technicians, They also will allow your own technician to fix the problem if they have no one available. In addition if they cannot fix a problem, Choice will replace the appliance for free at a fairly reasonable replacement cost. They have replaced for me a dryer, microwave, and central AC unit as well as completely redone my kitchen sink plumbing.

Professionalism, to let you know the claim has been submitted and your claim number 3. Tells you when and who your technician will be 4. Technician then calls you and leaves a message 5. The first plumber was taken off the job and the job was reassigned. It was assigned to two low rated plumbers. I objected to those plumbers. It was than assigned to another plumber. He arrived on time and did a great job. There was a mixup with the original service request. Someone that I talked to did't understand what was the problem, She put in that it was a clogged drain. The problem was a hole in a pipe under my kitchen sink and a leaking faucet, The hole was repaired, but nothing was done about the faucet. It is still leaking under the sink. I'm not sure what I need to do. I don't feel that I should have to pay for another service call. The plumber agreeded that there needed to be a new faucet, but he didn't have that on the claim. I tried to get the correct problem on the job, but couldn't get anyone to help me. It was still listed as a clogged drain. I do need to a new faucet, but don't know who I need to contact. I can't put anything back under the sink, until this leak if fixed.

Pro: I jumped the gun and called CHW as I thought my refrigerator had quit. After it came back on, I was able to contact customer service, the following morning and cancel the call ticket. Con: I called the “contact us” number and after going through “press two” twice, recording said y’all were closed. It DID NOT state what time the operator would be available. Once I did get a “human”:she was very helpful and saved me a $75 service call fee.

Update #2. Changing to four stars. Why? Today they agreed to pay the claim. Cannot give them five stars due to how difficult they made obtaining a reimbursement that was clearly warranted (total cost to locate and clear clog was $156. So their share of the claim was only $91.). Regardless, they finally (possible due to my promise to take legal action - even if it cost me thousands) agreed to pay the claim. UPDATE: I am changing my review to three stars. Why? They appointed a person to review the claim. The reviewer finally agreed that a stripped screw could not cause the sink to leak. They are going to pay for labor to replace the faucet and give me a small credit towards purchasing a new one (they offered to install a builder grade one at no charge - which is exactly what their policy states they would do so I am happy with this outcome). IF they pay the clogged line claim I'll raise my rating to 4 stars. The reviewer could not assist with that claim but gave me a suggestion that may result in payment. I am leaving the original post as it was 100% accurate at the time. I. CHW goes out of their way to deny claims. II. Their justification for denying claims have no bearing on the actual problem. Example 1. CHW denied a claim for a clogged home drain line because the technician did not find a "mechanical problem." Of course there was no "mechanical problem." The problem was a clog not a "mechanical problem." Example 2. They denied a claim for a leaking faucet stating that a stripped screw was the problem. The stripped screw did not cause the problem. Tightening or loosening the identified screw did nothing to resolve the leak. III. They go out of their way to make it as difficult as possible to obtain reimbursement. For item II.1 I had to threaten to have my attorney engage to get them to reopen the case so I could file for reimbursement. No payment yet and CHW has made it as difficult as possible to obtain reimbursement.

Choice replaced our HVAC system which I appreciate. It was a difficult process, but it was eventually covered. Initially they had difficulty finding a service tech in my area, or I would give them 5 stars. The provider they sent was very thorough, professional and efficient. This is the second major system they have covered, but I did prepay for an extended contract.

Unfortunately, we started experiencing air conditioning problems on a Thursday. We were able to get our Choice Home Warranty claim started and had an appointment with Rocket City Air for Monday. Weekend wasn't too bad and we've had no problems since our repair. We've never had a home warranty before, but so far, our experience has been very good.

I had my first claim about two weeks ago after being a customer about four years. I did not like my first claim experience for this reason. I paid a $85.00 service fee in my opinion that could have been avoided if the customer service rep. would ask me what make and model microwave I had and what it was or was not doing because when the service tech came out he first asked for the fee and when he saw it was not heating or rotating, he stated it would cost too much to repair so I had to spend more money for another one an additional $150.00. If information was gathered on the front end the service tech would not have been needed.

I just updated my card and tried to reactived the warranty they said the card was no good but they used it for the call for the dryer. We called and wanted a home call for a power outage and got no call or email or text. Then we found out it was just the A.C. stopped working and blow the power.

New to the home warranty thing and have always done my own home repairs. Recently moved to a newer home and have to travel out of town a lot. Great having a piece of mind that my home repairs will be taken care of. Was a little rocky in the beginning and learning how it all really works but after that it’s been great. From toilets and some faucet replacements to garbage disposal and even my air conditioning repaired. So far so good.

They can do a little better with their customer service in understanding the customer. They're not good. I had to call so many times to get what I got done. It took 3 weeks and my home was 90 degrees. But I got it done eventually. The end result was worth the wait. Everything besides that was fine with me.

The air conditioning went out when it was over 100 degrees out, so we were without the air conditioning on Saturday and Sunday. They were out Monday, which is when I called. They were prompt, they got someone out here as quickly as possible, and the provider did an excellent job fixing what needed to be repaired.

The contractors are very good. I just used it a couple of weeks ago. My dryer went out and the guy came within a reasonable amount of time and everything went great. I had to pay the minimum of $85 for the visit, but it was fixed.

The dishwasher was clogged up and they came and they fixed it. And then another time, the sink was clogged up and they came and they fixed it. Both times were very well done. It was a good job and they cleaned up after. And I could understand them when we spoke.

We're very pleased so far. We've only used it once and we're very, very pleased. We were read to go out of town and our garage door opener stopped working. We called you guys, somebody came out that day, couldn't fix it, so they ordered a new opener and it's supposed to be put in this Sunday. So it was very good customer service.

I think it's paid for itself. Easy online interface. They're easy to work with - they've been pretty attentive with the times that I've used them. My air conditioning went out on a Saturday, it was blistering hot, and they were able to get somebody out there pretty quickly, within a day and a half.

Whenever you call to file a claim, they would say, how long ago did the situation happen? What does that matter? I'm calling to file a claim and telling you what the problem is. Why I got to tell you exactly how long ago it's been. I pay you every month. They gave me the run around about a claim that I had a long time ago. I can't remember if it was concerning a water issue, but I've been a member for years and I had not been using it and they had to know that before they would actually let me file the claim.

The last time I used the warranty, I had a garage door problem. I couldn't get my door up, so I couldn't even leave the house. And when I put it online to get on their schedule, I told them on there that I needed somebody right away because I couldn't get out of my house and they scheduled it for over a week out. And so I called them back and asked them if I could just find somebody myself and do the reimbursement plan but they said it was too late because I already had a scheduled service.

I switched over to Choice from American Home Shield, but I’m questioning my decision. I even got talked into purchasing the plan for 5 years ( 6th year free). I requested work on my oven- it wasn’t coming on at all. Also, back 2 burners wouldn’t light. A tech came out and fixed burners and did get oven to come on. However, he didn’t calibrate the oven or test it thoroughly. Yes, it came on but came on at highest temperature and wouldn’t settle back down to 350- oven was tested when set on 350 but registered 475!. I requested for tech to come back- they made me pay the $75.00 because they said it was a “different problem “ Tech came back, it appears it’s ok, but he didn’t have a thermometer to test it. I guess I expected more.

I will write a review after next year is completed as I need to know how you will handle my warranty. I don't push off things normally, but I do need to see results to give an honest opinion. I will even copy a possible editorial that I will more than likely write about home warranties. You may or may not want to use this and I am now giving you my permission to use it. Until then I can not say what is and what may be favorable. I am not asking or will receive anything as I am not a liar as I will give you an honest review. So far I am happy that you allowed me to use JM Furnace and Cooling. He is Local in my area and came the next day as my house was 101 degrees. This was because you could not get anyone. I am proud of that fact as he is a veteran who has hearing damage because of artillery shelling. He came well-prepared and was very reasonable and would give him very high marks. He said both The air and the furnace may fail as both are on their last legs. The damage from the mice will cause more problems this next summer. The furnace he said may not last this winter. I know this is above the cost allowance you have for me and I might upgrade a bit. You can send one of your men out to inspect and give his opinion and cost. then you should be satisfied with what should be done. Yours sincerely James W Gerndt

I thought the price was decent and my first experience with my oven was good. This one is not so good. We had someone come and look at our washing machine a few days ago. He came and he took a look at it and he said it may have to be replaced. I got in touch with the company and they said they will be in touch with you within 48 hours. It has now been three days. The service came on Friday. He said we would here within 48 hours. That was Friday, this is Tuesday, we have heard nothing. We're still waiting to hear. So I'm not pleased about that.

I have my home warranty through Choice. I'm not sure if it they are actually the issue or Lowes, but since I had no other choice than get my replacement freezer through Lowes I consider it caused by Choice. I put in my claim and the repairman showed up early the next day....said I needed a replacement and all that went very fast and smoothly. The issues started right after. It takes up to a month for this egift card to be issued and it was close to that long. Ok this was on a freezer, but what if it was a critical item like my only fridge or washer etc? Who should pay a warranty and still have to wait a month - that is ridiculous. Next, I go to the store to order my freezer - that part went well enough. Upon delivery - they drop the huge freezer in the box and said No they don't unpack, set up or haul off the trash? Are you kidding me? I am 62 and my parents are 91. After spending an hour or so unpacking, wrestling it into place including hurting my neck and shoulder fighting to get the styrofoam out from under it - I discover a scratch on the side. At that point, enough was enough and I called customer service. The guy was nice enough but offered me a whopping 25 dollar gift card and said he could send a delivery team out. Frankly, I am considering looking at other warranty companies as this was horrid customer service if you ask me. Even if mostly, it had to do with Lowes - Choice gave me no other option but use them. Not happy with the experience.

I love the concept of a one-stop service for home maintenance but the actual business of identifying skilled tradesmen who will show up on time is harder than it looks. I’m very satisfied with the quality of work done so far but CHW’s failing to group the same category claims under a single contractor with one service fee, as opposed to three individual service fees of a single house call at $85.00 each, feels more like a hustle or scam. I will definitely do my homework before renewing my contract with CHW.

E-mails/communication from CHW can be vague/not responsive to questions/not provide coverage details of claim. The technician should not be the person providing replacement cost information. The technician's report & CHW's response should be provided to the policy holder !!!!! CHW should not send policy holder any emails concerning a system repair, before the technician has the repair parts. Have been satisfied with technicians sent for service call/repair. Have been specifically happy with IHN Appliance. Technician is prompt, courteous, informative.

I called the tech he said I needed to make a new claim. I've been told he refuses to return to fix the problem. Choice told me they will let me know when they find someone to fix it. The man who came to fix our shower controls was great. He asked what the problem was and began his assessment by turning the water off for the house and then removing the shower handle. Saw that it only needed some lubricants. Great with customers.

You all hav even amazing at getting people out to my house when needed. But when it came time to renew my warranty, you all called my 4-6 times a day. That’s a bit much, and was very annoying. I knew it was time, and if I was unaware, I was made aware by the 3rd phone call within the same day. I would Hugh recommend not harassing your customers when they need to renew their warranty’s because this will make them not want to. This right here is the reason you all didn’t get 5 stars.

Dislike customer service. Language barrier each time unable to get the short simple message right. Online message somehow got changed from OVEN to Stovetop and Sears technician was unable to touch the oven. . Numerous corrections made and changed by the Choice system. Has been a problem with ea. Request. Very annoying
