Repair man was thorough. Refrigerator cannot be repaired. Today 10-13-2021 I asked when Lowe's e-cards would be sent. Was told they were sent 10-4-2021. I have not received them. The only email on that date said I had forgotten to include limited roof repair. How long could you go without a refrigerator? I need a refrigerator NOW. Please respond PROMPTLY!!

I like their price for the coverage however, I don’t like the timelessness or lake of urgency when you file a claim. The process is definitely not intended for emergency issues. I feel they should have another procedure design for issues that require immediate attention rather than the same standard claim procedure. Most people get this service for emergency or unexpected coverage and sometimes having to wait 2-3 days can cause greater issues and more money.

The service was excellent, however it was too long of a wait. I had an emergency - my refrigerator suddenly stopped functioning due to some minor electrical system failure, called Choice HW and it took about 4 days to get the technician to come and take care of the issue. Once they got here, did an excellent job. My issue is only the waiting period.

I am happy with the services when ever a fix of appliance is possible. The contract not considering color of appliance (stainless steel vs regular) when replacing a like product is really bad. There is no point paying this much for a non-like product and still calling it a like replacement. The case managers are very restricted even thought they understand the pain point of the customer. Also giving a choice home possible price when there is no way for the consumer to get the product for that price is BS. Also if that is the case giving a Lowe’s gift card is even worse when they don’t have the same appliance in Lowe’s .

I was very happy with choice initially. However I am finding that now very few claims are covered and even though you are paying your fees as agreed to, there’s always a reason now as to why the claim is not covered. I will very likely end my relationship with choice at the end of this service period because it is no longer economically prudent, and I will share my experiences with individuals that I had recommended to choice and will no longer recommend choice to other individuals as a worthwhile service to have.

His affirmations were misleading and not true, most interested on having me renewing the contract than providing service for my current issue. Terrible experience, he hang up on my when I asked for his name after not responding my question about the service and put so much pressure on the renewal.

The first technician canceled once and was a no show the second time. It was a full week before another technician came , By that time I had lost all the food in the freezer. The day after the technician left, the refrigerator quit cooling causing me to loose all that food. Technician said he would put in for the part needed. When I heard nothing for 5 days I called Choice. I was told the tech had not contacted them and I would have to wait. When I reported my refrigerator was now not working she insisted that was another claim( even though it was all the same appliance. The women was dismissive, I asked when a technician would be assigned,she said I would get an email. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said there was none. This unsatisfactory. The technician that came did not understand why another one would be coming for the fig. She replaced the defective part and both freezer and refrigerator were fixed. She called Choice and canceled the second technician. I still got a call saying he was on his way to my house and again the next day. The contract was never canceled. Poor communication very customer service. I paid for a 3 yr. contact. With this kind of service I will net be renewing. No one should have to be without a refrigerator for a month.

The turn around for a tech is awesome but as far a value and replacement it’s crap. I mean you offered 340 for washer and dryer each yet it’s far more than that to get a replacement. Then you accept offer thinking it’s a quick turn around to get something and they offer a Lowe’s we gift card and it takes 30 days to get gift cards. This forces you to go out buy right away so your not without a washer and dryer for 2-4weeks.

Quick response. However you are cheap on the reimbursements. One half of the cost is NOT a reimbursement. 90% is. I had a microwave electronic board die. The total cost of replacement was over $400 from LOWES. I was given 2 options - replacement or check. I chose check expecting a minimum of $300. I am getting$191.00. This is what I meant about CHEAP. Now I know why your BBB rating is B.

There seems to be no sense of urgency to facilitate repairs, no ability to choose a different repair service when they fail to show up (or even answer phone calls), no transparency of "non-covered expenses" and no option to negotiate how repairs are completed. A service call for a failed A/C unit in June resulted in the technician not showing up at the scheduled time and he would not answer my text messages or phone calls. My call to the CHW claims rep to request a different service provider resulted in two options: 1) Wait 24 hours to have the claim reposted and selected by someone, or 2) Continue to wait for the repair technician to respond. By this time it was late Friday, so I was looking at several more days of sweltering temps. I decided to ignore both options and opted to facilitate repairs outside of the home warranty contract. My last claim was for another failure of the same A/C unit, that happened on a Friday morning. I received notification around 6:00 PM that day that a repair technician was scheduled for noon the following Monday. We endured the heat through the weekend and the tech showed up as scheduled. He diagnosed the problem and submitted the claim to CHW. Within 2 hours I received communication from CHW that the repair was covered, except for $150 that I would need to pay. I called the claims office to discuss what was not covered and the representative either could not or would not tell me why I had to pay the extra money. She quite rudely told me that I could either accept the charge, or decline the repair. I then asked her what the repair estimate covered and she told me that she was unable to tell me. I stated that I was interested in discussing the possibility of negotiating a settlement that would allow me to make a partial upgrade to my undersized A/C system. I was informed that it was not an option.

The most recent service by CHW was excellent. I had a noisy ceiling fan in a bathroom. It was serviced quickly and the job was great. That said, I've had other experiences with CHW that were less than satisfying. The most glaring was a hot water heater replacement. The job was done well, however the service provider made me pay $586 in CASH to "bring the plumbing up to code." That's bad enough but I didn't yet receive my $250 allowance for code revisions from CHW which I'm entitled to for paying for the "Ultra" contract.

I tried to file my claim on line to avoid a long wait on the phone. The system did not recognize my email address. As I have some hearing loss, (VA rated 20%), I had some trouble understanding the young lady that was taking my claims information. The phone connection appeared to be faulty. I may have a different opinion (better or worse) after the service call is complete.

Until this experience I would have rated CHW a 5. However, the first technican that came could have and should have done the work. He told my husband to do it, and told him the wrong thing to buy. Then, the 2nd tech never called, never showed, nothing. And CHW never sent me any message about date change or that a new tech had been assigned. The third tech was wonderful, going above and beyond to fix the dishwasher. He also leveled it, and checked to be sure it was totally fixed. He is coming back to fix the plumbing in my bathroom. Very polite, wore a mask, very professional.

First year as a customer loved the price that I was offered, moving forward my first claim was our /Washing Machine I had to wait almost 7 days before someone came out to see about fixing it turned out had to be replaced they offered a Lowe’s gift card for a certain amount in which was too low to replace a front loader washer when I ask to speak to a manager or supervisor, only through appointments instead of resolving the issues that same day not good, I tried to communicate with the manager I suppose-ably had an appointment to talk regarding the offer she never returned the call or answered emails. I finally was able to speak with someone she could not find my appointment date with the manager however she offered to help me resolve issue with the offer that was made to replace the washing machine to say the least I was never allowed to speak and that’s all that was gonna be offered take it or leave it don’t care your problem not mine that’s how I felt!!! I responded I don’t want a Lowe’s gift card will then we’ll send a check no what about direct deposit no we don’t do that!!! That’s the reason I gave them a two Starr

Overall, I lost money by using your service. Once my hot water tank had a leak. When I called, I was told that it was covered by the warranty but It turned out I had to pay the initial $60.00 and I had to pay fix it by myself. I changed the hot water tank which cost me a lot of money. After talking to your people, I was given $60.00 credit. Now that house had a fire so I cannot use the warrenty anymore. Now I moved to anohter house of mine which I also bought warrenty from your company. the microwave was broken. I requested another service. It was arranged by some compoany to come in to fix it. However, the techinician did not show up and no one has called me. I was lucky enough to get someone on the phone from your company this time when I called. I asked if I could use the credit I have from the other house, I was told NO. I want to see if this time a technician is going to show up on the appointment day which is Oct. 1st.
