I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT CHOICE HOME WARRANTY WOULD NOT REPAIR MY AIR HANDLER OR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT. THEY SAID IT HAD RUST. DON'T MOST AGING UNITS GET RUST? I NEED TO FULLY REPLACE IT. I PURCHASED THIS HOME WARRANTY TO COVER MY REPLACEMENT COSTS OR AT LEAST HELP WITH THEM WHEN A UNIT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. WHY HAVE A HOME WARRANTY SERVICE IF THEY WALK AWAY FROM WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE? MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN.

after going through 3 techs left me miserable.1st tech Andrea didn't explain what happens after I submit claim he had me waiting until 11pm that night thinking someone was coming 2nd tech she just didn't care 3rd tech India was very helpful . Reported Monday both toilets clogged with handicap son really left me in a bind got service 6pm Tuesday.very disappointed had to go a whole day without use of bathroom toilets.

The technician was great the customer service person he talked to was clueless on what he was looking at, he kept acting like he didn't know what he was looking at in the pictures sent to him. He said my faucet was clogged and it wasn't it had a pin size hole in it causing it to leak. I pay monthly payments and I can't get a simple faucet fixed or replaced stop acting like my money is yours.

I felt like I was pressured into purchasing this policy. It also seemed like, if I wanted this policy, I needed to take it on your terms and not mine. The fact that I am recovering from surgery and just asked for two days to discuss this with my wife, and was denied, just added stress to this experience. Buying this warranty felt like buying a used car at the local car lot.

We were given 2 appointments for service and both times we had to find out from the service companies that the appointment was scheduled by Choice incorrectly. The first appointment was scheduled with a company who doesn't even have a fridge tech on staff. The second appointment was scheduled with a company who says they told Choice during the phone call that they would not be able to come out. Had we not reached out to the service companies to confirm the appt times sent out by Choice, we literally would have been at home waiting TWICE for absolutely nothing because no one was coming out. The customer service workers I have spoken to have been mostly nice, and after two failed attempts they did get a company out to make the repair, who was an absolutely fantastic tech. These are the only factors giving this review 2 stars instead of 1. We will not be renewing our warranty through Choice at the end of the year.

Choice Home Warranty came with our new home purchase and was not selected by us. Half the issues with the home do not appear to be covered. Home has a main house and casita but nothing in the casita appears to be covered (such as the AC unit). First service was to have locks rekeyed in the main house. Contractor had no id and could not even provide a receipt with a company letterhead (and he did not seem to know the company name). Left us questioning just what service providers Choice contracts with.

The technician was good, but I never received a receipt and a copy of what was done and would need to be done. I am not happy with Choice Warranty when I found out you would not pay to do work on a weekend. The temperature had been in the 90s and I had to wait 5 days for someone to come out. What would have happened if there had been a person with a serious medical condition? That kind of service is not what I was paying for? What if it had been winter and the furnace went out? Would you have let me freeze to death in my house because you did not want to pay someone to come out on the weekend to fix the furnace?

set up my claim online and very quickly had an appointment though a few days out. he did not come on that day, had to be reset. finally, he did come and diagnosed the problem but will not be back for a while to actually fix the problem. would say, you try but things get done very slowly and glad it is not my air conditioning in houston in august, that would terminate our relationship immediately.

Claim #129190347 I was scheduled for a review of this claim on 8/12 at 7:30 A.M. MST. I received several reminders prior to the meeting but never got a call from the claim specialists. I was able to get their phone number and ext. from your customer services rep., placed several calls to them with no response. The reason for turning down my claim makes no sense and I would like an explanation. There nothing amazing about your service, I would appreciate a call from someone regarding my claim. I will never be foolish enough to purchase a home warranty in the future fromn Choice or any other company as they always find a way to turn down a claim. Easy to get to a representative. Sometimes the time from when the service request is raised to when the tech schedules the appointment is too long. I believe this has to do with the fact it is all automated. Sometimes a call to the tech will yield a sooner visit.

CHW sent out A/C technicians from Boadi Banner Controls to solve the mysterious problem of my A/C not working at the start of the season.... After a while, they identified the problem as a faulty circuit breaker in my main electrical panel. This took a lot of detective work... and time. Costing me only $45.

This was the 3rd claim; with repairs being performed above and beyond on 1st two claims. The A/C unit just happens to be on its last legs and needing replaced. CHW received the technician’s report and responded by agreeing with field technician that replacement is warranted. Thank you for listening to the technicians in the field!!!!

I'm going through the process for the first time. It took a week before someone could come look at my refrigerator and they recommended replacing it. I was giving a case worker that took awhile to get through to him. I didn't like that I would be given a Lowes gift card (that may take up to 30 days to receive) because that limits me to shopping for a better deal. It looks like I will have to spend at least $600 of my money to replace the refrigerator.

So far not impressed with the home warranty. Have a claim that was denied and is currently being reviewed. Had to pay the contractor out of pocket to fix my issue. Same issue happened two days later and he returned on a Sunday to fix my a/c for no additional charge. Not happy with the warranty, but the contractor was very professional and prompt.

Overall, I feel the product is worthy of the phone representative would simply understand the word NO. It is a complete sentence and not a difficult sentence to understand. I was pleased with the annual rate, the coverage, the policy terms, the discounted service call for the so-called promotional pricing, which I find to be suspect at all times. However, when the conversation with Ray turned to the VIP PROGRAM and his statement, "My manager, is standing right beside me," the conversation went south. I said no...he kept pressuring...I said no again...he didn't get the message, and when I said no the third time, it was followed by, "Ray, you have been a delight to talk to today, but you just do not understand the word no. Have a good weekend" and disconnected from the call. If you do not mind high-pressure selling tactics, you will be delighted at the opportunities. If you find the challenge to be one of desperation on the side of the sales team, you will not find this experience to be pleasant. As I have done, you should decide for yourself, but two out of five stars are the best I can do at the moment.

Claims process was easy to submit. Although it took longer than I would have liked for a tech to come out (my AC went out and it was HOT!) the time that it took was not unreasonable. (Less than 48 hours). The tech was responsive, arrived on time and was able to fix the issue quickly.

Your "Talk with a Rep about the $ offered n lieu of repairing the appliance" is a joke - a waste of my time. I have done it twice, but there is no attempt to adjust the amount offered. It's "Let me check" and "We cannot offer more" Your ability to find a wholesale price for an appliance has no relationship to the price I can find at retail. I have two homes covered with Choice. I will likely be switching to another warranty company.

It had to do with my second refrigerator I had it in my utility room my garage room and I moved it into my mothers house which is right next door on the same property same address same everything same property tax ID number and I moved it into her house to make more room in the garage and it had to do with the icemaker not working and when they got here he could not diagnose it because it was not in the main houseTo the other house and he could not adjust it or fix it so if I moved it back to the garage he could but I didn’t have any manpower here to move it back to the garage

We have filed our first claim. While we are grateful for the warranty, we were surprised to find out that we were responsible for part of the cost of a water heater replacement. It was our assumption, obviously a false one, that we paid the initial service call fee, but then the repair or replacement was fully covered by Choice Home Warranty.

Since my claim was denied and I appealed and again was denied. The 15 minute window was actually a seven minute window. I was also told that the person I talked to was the final decision maker but she would not allow me time to discuss alternate repairs that would be appropriate for this situation. If you call this customer service and that’s the way you want customers treated I would be surprised if CHW would agree with this approach. In closing this might be a situation where we have two people with very opinionated views and neither part listened to the other. If so I would appreciate talking to another claim expert. I am very disappointed with my coverage. Twice my claim has been denied. I am on the verge of canceling my coverage. I pay my premiums and the service charge and I am not satisfied with the way I am being treated. Twice I paid the service charge and my items were not fixed or replaced. This last time Choice Home Warranty made a judgment call and denied my claim.
