When my fridge stopped working they sent out a technician at least four times had to wait almost a month for a part to come in I lost hundreds of dollars worth of food waiting this final time which would have been the fifth time they decided to replace my fridge with a gift card from Lowe's which they said would be within 30 days so I'm still stuck with a fridge that does not work and not able to keep food in it and have to eat out and spend hundreds of dollars on food they should give you your gift card immediately so that you can replace the broken appliance. I sent an email to them explaining that I would appreciate getting my gift card sooner than later which is an egift card and have not received a response back from them

Jeff was great, but a sales person nonetheless, called to sign up and then was pushed a 3 year term. When I gave in to that offer, he then wanted to push a 6 year term. I had an issue with the address on my policy and Jeff was very helpful in resolving that. Not shortly after I signed up (maybe next day) I was already receiving calls to sign up for home security system. Their sales people are very pushy and sometimes won't take no for an answer, even if they call you and you tell them you are driving and need to hear the GPS directions, they continue going.

Until this past week, Choice Home Warranty was the best idea and the best money I ever spent. My mind was at ease knowing that if a major appliance broke they were there when I needed them. I recommended so many clients to this company but now I have regrets. Customers are expected to justify why you need to have something fixed when it’s broken??? That’s the reason why I got the plan 6 years ago in the first place. So I am expected to justify this coming Monday so we shall see

I find the fine print in Choice Home Warranty’s claims very easy for them to slip,out of a claim. I just had a claim denied and yet when I did my research they accept the wording they want o approve or deny a claim. When I google the definition of a word they used it was clearly in my favour however they still denied the claim. We are talking a $ 150.00 repair.

They are hit or miss. Sometimes they can respond quickly and have someone assess and help you solve the issue but other times I have had issues with them trying to get out of the coverage by saying the equipment wasn’t maintained and it wasn’t normal wear and tear. Also, one time parts were back ordered for so long to and only after 3 months did they finally approve replacement and cut a check for a certain amount.

Very unhappy with the way the company have handled my claim with my freezer. The company who has come out before replace new parts the freezer started cooling down like a refrigerator. I have lost too much meat . Choice Warranty does not offer replacement for lost food. From May up until now I am still losing meat. Some of Sears tech just come out and look at the freezer and say it's okay. Now the new company that has come out found ice has frozen up on the coils so this is a constant problem seemingly this problem be going on since the NEW PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH CHOICE WARRANTY.

Choice Home Warranty dispatches a service technician quickly to assess the problem. If they determine that a replacement is needed it can take an extended period of time (up to 30 days) to get a replacement or a payout. This is frustrating when you already have an appliance or system that is not working.

------------------------------------The four times that I have used them, I have been unsatisfied with the results. The first (7/2017) for my Maytag washer, took a long time to receive the service as the first company had a very poor rating of their services. The repair person ended up breaking a part in the machine. The second time (3/2018) for my hot water heater which took 10 days to get a repairman (a time limit violation of our contract) who then indicated the problem was due to my not draining the water yearly solely based on the noise the water heater made. They did finally send $200 to compensate me. Again too little to pay for a replacement unit. My third contact with choice (11/2019) was for the Maytag washer again. This time I was told it needed a bearing replacement. The repair was reportedly more expensive than a replacement so they had agreed to a $400. cash settlement but only sent me $299. There were no comparable washers for anything near that price. Three months later after my many phone calls and emails to you folks, I received another check for $100. The 4th request for a repair was in 11/21 for my GE Premium dishwasher. A Sears repairman came for my dishwasher. He could not fix it due to his company's policy of not working with copper plumbing which tends to easily leak. That repairman, as all others were friendly, knowledgeable and fast working, but unable to do the necessary repairs. I had requested a full refund from them back in July, 2016 when I initially took my 6-year policy and when I first learned from that they had no repairmen in my particular area of the southern part of Ocean County. They flatly refused my request stating that they would "find" someone to use from an established business to service my area. I

This particular repair Took three different appointment times with different technicians. The first one never returned any calls. The second one was very unprofessional on the phone, and the third one Tim from tops to bottoms was excellent. My previous experience when I needed a repair was very negative. The technician came out to service my air conditioner. He gave me two options. I chose one of those options. He came back to the door in about 5 minutes to inform me that CHW would not authorize the repair. He was very deceptive. All he wanted was his $45 service call check. He knew they wouldn't authorize one of those to begin with. When I asked him to go ahead and put in some Freon, he said he couldn't do it now because I didn't use it first. If you ever use this company and you are asked do you want me to check for a leak or put in some Freon. Say Freon. If you asked to check for a leak, they won't do anything I request or $45. Overall I have found much more negative than positive with this company. I believe they have gotten much worse lately. I can say that because I have been a customer for seven years . About a week later we got a reply from Choice and the next day acertified plumber called and said he would arrive the next day. He arrived early as requested and was VERY PROFESSIONAL.

Choice Home Warranty has an easy online process to submit claims. Wait time for app is about 2- 3 days with about 30 min - 1 hour approval from Choice Warranty while contractor is waiting on ok to fix. I have used different home warranty in a past so to compare both the other one was a 5 and this one is at 3. Service teams showing up are great but claims are often not covered under the warranty and approval process is bit longer than other warranty companies.

Very professional company. Easy to work with and file a claim. However, the $65 service fee threw me for a loop. I paid $580 to be a member, filed two claims for a door on my dish washer that will not close, and a fireplace where the pilot will not stay lit. Service fee total.... $130. I found this to be a little expensive when the total of each repair would have cost me around $200. I'll be my own insurance by saving this $710 annually.

Using them has been a decent experience. They are quick to get a service provider out to the house, and issues are resolved in a timely manner. Know what you’re getting, though (it’s not what they lead you to believe). On top of the service fee that you’re charged anytime someone comes out, a water heater, for example, will cost you $450 in labor - completely out of pocket. This “warranty” isn’t a real warranty. You’re simply paying an upfront cost to mitigate some of the (potential) expenses later

Claim was picked up same day as claim made. Excellent technician. Per CHW email we are only receiving $191 to replace microwave. And to top it off we will have to shop only at Lowes. CHW doesn’t cover installation either. We are receiving disability income so somehow we will have to find a way to cover the balance on a much cheaper product and then find someone to help us with the installation. Doesn’t seem like a fair way to provide for your clients.

I feel that you guys can do better. I have already had a few bad experiences with you guys. The first one was the lack of communions and the time wait. But in a claim and had to wait almost four months to get it resolved. There deductable also went up from 65 to 85 for each claim you put in. But I continue to still you guys and give you the benefit of the doubt.

Pays for some of appliance, the things I do not like is making you go to specific store for replacement , also you do not receive the credit card soon enough, I am sitting here without a stove until I receive my card, even if I have a card with that store they will not allow me to put the stove on my card and then apply my e card towards balance when I receive it.
