Some you can understand and some can't understand me.The person they sent out wouldn't work for crap from my apartment and I'm still dealing with it and I have to hire somebody and now wait to get reimbursed from them. They sent out a plumber that was awful. Didn't bring no tools, didn't they know what was going on.

It took a long time for the service providers to take my claim. The first provider cancelled without even letting me know, the second one was supposed to be out between 11 and 3, at 2 I called and she said she could be here by 3:30 or 4:00, she didn’t get here until 6:30. She did a good job once she was here but it would have been nice for her to get here when she was scheduled.

I have had great experiences & terrible experiences. They do a 60% good job of choosing the technicians that they send out. But be warned - if the technician does something neglectful or damages your appliance so it is unusable - CHW will not take any responsibility or refund the visit charge. I would not say amazing - but that is the only button this review is allowing me to check

CHW had hard time finding someone to look at water heater. Offered me option to find own person to check out water heater knowing full well I told them most likely tank leaking that I found out later not under warranty. Asked for appeal process and person on phone had no clue about how water heater worked or parts involved. Just said not under warranty.

Our clothes dryer broke. Choice indicated that parts are no longer available & that replacement of the machine was warranted. We were offered a very low amount of money to replace our dryer. We appealed. We could not get an appointment with a claims representative any earlier than two weeks from the date of contact, a far too long period. When we were finally contacted a slightly larger amount of money was offered. The amount offered would not even over half the cost of purchasing the same, or similar, model. The agent said that regardless of whoever we talked to we would not get additional funds. Furthermore, the agent stated that Choice would not provide any data to us as to how they arrived at the low figure. This whole affair has been undesirable.

Your service people are great they take their time and do the job right. However for speed of the service is terrible . I went 3 days without a hot water heater and a shower. If my son did not know how to turn the water off we would of had a mess that I would have to clean up and a water bill that would have cost me a fortune, let alone all the damage that it could of cost. You need to be able to have a hot line so a customer could get immediate service

The process of starting a claim was easy but completely automated and has no sense of personal customer service. They also only paid roughly half of the total bill. I paid $425 for a $900 bill. When I asked what the breakdown of my charges were, they couldn’t explain other than $75 service call and then $350 of “uncovered charges”. They wouldn’t tell me what the $350 was.

My first claim for my dishwasher was not a pleasant experience. First, the offer to replace wouldn’t even cover half the cost to replace a similar dishwasher. When I asked for it to be looked at again, they came back with the same amount saying they do not consider function, only where the buttons are located, if the interior is stainless steel and the amount of sprayer heads. This very frustrating as the point of a warranty in my mind to to limit out of pocket costs to near $0, and that will not be happening with this case. Second, when given a case manager, their schedule was booked out 2+ weeks. If this was a critical system, that is way too long to wait to discuss with someone your problem. I was given a phone number and ext. plus an email. The phone ext. goes to a general mailbox. I don’t think anyone checks this as I left several messages, and only received callbacks if I called customer service and had them reach out to give me a call. Beware too with customer service as they have no way to transfer you to your case manager if they are available, which makes no sense to me as to why you would set your phones up this way. Even when I emailed, I never received a reply. Beware of choosing choice home warranty and disputing the offers they give you. They make it extremely difficult to get resolutions, making you jump through hoops to get any answers. I will more than likely not be renewing my contract at the end of its term.

I was not able to submit a claim online. It said my policy number was incorrect. When I clicked on I forgot my policy number, it went back to the previous page telling me to enter my policy number. I called the number but instead of pushing 2 to get an agent, I pushed 3 and got Andrew who was very helpful. He verified my policy number it was the same number I entered. Andrew was very helpful and entered my claim information. If I could have spoken to him the first couple of times I called, I would have given 5 stars.

I do not like that my call fee and monthly payment has increased twice. I was told it would not increase when I switched from my old company. Choice never notified me of the increase prior to.

I should have realized that Choice Home Warranty is very good for small repairs, but they definitely will not cover large repairs - very disappointing! The air handler component of my heat pump began malfunctioning in January. Choice came out in February and replaced a relay switch. I had to call them again this week, and this time it was the motor which they refused to replace on the grounds that I had not properly maintained the unit. Excuse me!!! I have had semi annual service calls and have changed the filter at least twice a year. What a lame excuse to deny responsibility. Because I am moving in a few days, I have chosen to replace the whole unit on my own to make the property safe for the new owners.

fridge repair done right away, person was courteous, knows his job and finished right away. he was amazing. could have given 4 to 5 stars if washing machine repair was done the same way. i have to place the request again as the person couldn't fix problem and worst they replaced a part which did not fix problem at all as it is not a problem at all. the person who finally fixed it said its a small water hose fix and nothing wrong with machine. sadly the fully functional manufacturer part is replaced.

The repairman was here and checked what needed to be done and recommended that the unit be replaced and when the repairman contacted and told CHW that it was in bad condition and recommended replace he was told to do nothing. he did not say it couldn't be repaired so please my wife and I are old folks and need our A/C working so please do something

We first reported a problem in November 2021 a repair man came needed to order a part waited that part came then needed another part we left for Thanksgiving and he agreed to put the part in on Dec 3 as we were leaving on the 4th. He never showed up. Then he came on Dec 27 th and it was supposed to be fixed. It was worse now the drain didn’t work and the soap dispenser wouldn’t open. We were out of town till the end ofJan they wouldn’t let us Schuler a repairman until we got home. Then it took 10 days he came and it now needed 3 more parts it took almost 2 weeks for them to decide to replace instead of repair. We thought ok then they offered us $246.00!! The cheapest dishwasher we could find was $495. But that was it ! We are very unhappy

THE JURY IS OUT. BUT ---I just purchased the annual plan. What I did not like is the way the salesperson was so pushy trying to get me to up the ante with more years to my subscription. Also he was a bit rude when I declined. I did not feel at all comfortable and almost cancelled right then. Then today, I received a call from someone with the company asking me to verify my address and phone number and then had the audacity to offer me a "free" alarm system, WHICH IS NOT FREE it is 59.99 per month. The install is free-- This really bothers me. Seems a bit without integrity. Anyway, I will see if I keep the plan. I have 30 days to cancel.

I told them the issue when I called. Paid $85.00 fee only to be told not covered AFTER I paid. Appealing process now. Will see. At least should be refunded my $85. May have to shop for different home wty company. Also...when speaking to agents, most of them barely speak English. Have to ask them to repeat themselves several times. Not happy right now.

Was filling out a quote request form online when I received a call from choice. I ended up signing up for a warranty. I asked some questions and the answers are not true when the policy arrived. As an example I asked if I could use my own providers and was told that as long as they were licensed and insured that I could. This is specifically excluded in the contract. In addition my house is larger than the size limit in the contract so the contract is already void. I will be canceling both of my policies. In addition when I mentioned that I had not had time to review the company I was told after mentioning consumer reports that you were the highest rated company by consumer reports. Consumer reports in fact recommends not buying a home warranty and Better Business Bureau showed multiple complaints and that furtherresearch also showed lawsuits in New Jersey and Arizona by the states against your company.

The "We fix it or replace it" is false advertising, in my opinion as I has to pay $1,275.00 for Heat Pump repair because a large part had to be replaced. I also had a bathroom repair where the technician BROKE THE FAUCET HE WAS REPARING and when I called Choice I was told that I had to work it out with the technician and that the issue was my responsibility.

I needed my water pressure regulator changed out and because it was not attached to my home (located next to the water meter by the street as they all are), CHW declined to authorize the work. What difference does it make where the pressure regulator is located????? The pressure regulator is actually listed as being covered in the plan. Really bad CHW

The quick response and set up of technicians is awesome. I do wish your website had more information. For instance, I had expected that the website would allow me to view previous claims. I have had 3 different technicians out to work on my Bosch dishwasher. I'm sure it was still under warranty from the previous visit - but because there is no record of it on your website - I now know I have to keep all emails and correspondence every time I file a claim. It shouldn't be this cumbersome. I also do not like that when an appliance has to be replaced - I can only get a voucher for Lowe's. Their customer service, process of ordering a new appliance and lack of available appliances is the worst I have ever experienced. I ordered a washing machine on 23 October and it wasn't available until 31 January.

Choice sent me an email stating the technician would be at my house on Monday between 11-3, and they never came. Apparently, when Choice emails you about an appointment time, it doesn’t mean anything. It jus means that the company has accepted the job. The technician wasn’t able to come out until Thursday to unclog my kitchen sink. Five days without a sink is tough.

MW heating and cooling is a very good contractor. The warranty company is good tho some of their contracts are not up to speed. They will send out others at no cost if you get a dud so overall your problem will be solved
