I had a claim in to repair my electric double oven. The repair man came in and it too multiple calls to Buget repairs and to CHW to get an answer on the repair. Final CHW sent me an email to settle for approx $300 e-card from Lowes. I refuse to settle and sent a text to speak with a claim rep. I got an email a few days later, which I answered to call me in person. After several weeks I called and an appointment was set for another week. The claim rep called on the appointed time and after taking pictures of the appliance they determined that they will give me $700 for the oven. I was offered before Pennies and now offered nickles. I ask the Rep to tell me what are they using to base the replacement cost, she cannot disclose that information. I also had a heating valve issue in the winter and the vendor again took several weeks and phone call with excuses to have that repaired too.

J&J Electrical - sent by Choice - did a great job. I would request them for my Electrical repairs. DO "NOT" SEND OSAM Electrical to my house again. Contractor was unprofessional and did not complete the job and did not return my calls.

It seems when I need them they don't help out. Always some tiny techancality to get out of paying for a repair. I hate the policy they have of the technician having to email their diagnois BEFORE they will authorize the work to be done. No one has time for this. No one wants to work with warranty companied due to slow payment to the company. It saddens me when my copay keeps gping up. It started st $49 in 2015. Now it's up to $85. My preium went from $29 a mon to over $60 a mon. I won't recommend them. Too much red tape to go through. Frustrating trying to reach them by phone, email or their portal.

Happy with effort to get new vendor when 1st didn't show and accelerate their arrival date. 2nd vendor was great! Not happy with 1st vendor who did not come and was rude. Additionally, when called Choice on weekend due to no show and was hung up on 3 time when starting to explain issue. Talked with supervisor the next day who showed no concern we were upset and seemed put out to take my call.

Luke the sales person very responsive and accommodating The service, dispatch departments don't communicate well and unfortunately seem to have no authority in the service management area. Company doesn't correspond well with Contract teams that provide the work Technicians continue to insist not covered and try to get customer to agree to pay (unprofessional). I have 5 homes with CHW and 3 are on a 6 year plan but if I keep having issue I might change to another as i came to CHW from another due to these issues. This program should not be so cumbersome for the customer

Unfortunely CHW have been difficult to deal with, not completely truthful when I bought policy. I get very fustrated when I call and no one speaks english or understands English in the claims department. Have had incrediably long hold times then line just disconnects. I had to find my own technician after 48 hours because the technician CHW assigned to claim said he was to far away to come. The one I found told me he has done work for CHW before so I don't understand why he was not contacted.

Well solely based on this experience...submitted claim Friday night on a holiday weekend. Wasn't expecting anyone to come right away and they didn't. Technician came out on Memorial Day, took pictures and submitted info to Choice. Contacted Choice today at noon and was told still being reviewed and I'd know within 4 hrs. Never heard anything. Spoke to someone at 5:50 pm saying I'll hear something within 4 hrs, six hours after I was last told that. It's 9:08 pm and I have not heard anything. I hope I'll hear more tomorrow or I will move on and cancel my home warranty because what's the point if you can't get a quick turnaround.

I have been a customer for 4 years. I have used the warranty on several appliances. For the most part, my experience was good. Until I most recently needed repairs to my washer. The warranty company sent a technician, the technician said the washer could be repaired. However Choice's decision was to offer a Lowe's e gift . The amount would never cover the full cost of a new washer at Lowe's. I was very disappointed. I decided to take the offer because I had no other option offered. Then I find out the "E" gift card would take 30 days to receive!!!! So that's a total of 7 weeks without a washer . 7 weeks of paying for the laundromat. My experience has me considering a different option. Choice did not meet my expectations as I am still waiting for my gift card and will still need to ce out of the pocket.

Had trouble talking rep. due to accent. My trouble was a smoking ceiling fan . But had to teck. over 50 miles to say yes it was burned up. I went and bought one before the teck. got here, so he was able to install it while he here. I haven't Been for it yet. The teck. was very nice and did a very good job.

The experience was not good at all and it was our first time using our 3 year plan. First a technician couldn't be found for our problem. Then you found one and scheduled service. We waited all day to find out first that you didn't send a work order and then the technician refused to come. That was after being on the phone at least 6 times with CHW and the technician. Then you asked me to get my own technician which I declined. I am paying you to do that. Finally after a few weeks total you found a good technician and the problem was repaired. The second technician was sexcellent! CHW however not so much! Wondering if I made a horrible mistake. I had a home warranty in MD and never had these issues!

After I had called a out of network vendor for A/C repair 5/20 at nite who arrives 2hrs After my call,I then called CHW I was told that there would be no reimbursement for the a/c work, I then was asked if I wanted to place a new order which I did for ceiling fan repair I've yet to hear from anyone in regards to ceiling fan repair ,in the future I would prefer to speak with someone who speaks better English as it was difficult to understand the person I spoke to.

I have three homes covered by Choice. On one of them I have had a good experience. Not so much on the others. I upgraded to have the well covered and when we tried to use it, the tech was very irresponsible on timing and less knowledgeable than expected. He adv the problem was not covered and left, we ended up having to call a company and paying out of pocket. Other thing that I dislike the most is the sales person, who says he has worked there since 2009, was very arrogant, not polite, with sarcastic yokes he only understood. I have a need for warranty, for peace of mind, and the reviews I had read advised this was one of the best company, I have experienced less than that. I did not buy cause he was a good sales guy, I bought for a need and I totally regret buying from him, I should have called later and gotten another sales person who really liked his job.

They were prompt and dispatched a service technician quickly only to find in their opinion that out AC unit was NOT COVERED as it wasn’t faulty due to “normal wear &tear”. AC compressors due malfunction over time and is “normal” Like most Insurance company’s their primary function seems to collect premiums and not to pay a claim, that’s their business and really don’t care about their customers.I recently did recommend Choice Warranty to a few people and I now will have to advise them not to use them

What I like is the ease of filing a claim online and receiving back an email shortly acknowledging your claim and assigning a claim number. Shortly thereafter, a company sends another email setting up the service call. Easy and quick. What I don't like is that they seem to pick and choose what they will and will not cover. I've had it! Once my policy expires, I will NOT renew. Last year, they sent some so called "plumbers" who said they would have to cut out my ceiling to find a leak. After paying for the service fee and being told to watch it awhile and have them come back for no further service fee, they wanted to charge me again. Hired a different plumber who came and diagnosed in 2 minutes flat that the problem was the toilet needed to be resealed. Paid the service fee to the first vendor for nothing! This time, air conditioning not working. According to the heating/cooling person they sent, the transformer is blown all caused by a "short" in the wiring within the unit. Choice denied my claim because they said the short was within the walls of my home and they do not cover that. The co. that came out said NO, not in the walls, but within the unit. I appealed the claim and they still turned it down saying a short "usually" comes from within the walls, to it wouldn't be covered and even if I pd out of pocket for the wire trace, they wouldn't cover the transmitter because a "short" caused it. They say a broken wire is not a normal part that goes bad from wear and tear. REALLY????? Once again, I had to pay the company the service fee to come out for nothing! I've had a couple of small claims in the past for my garage dr. not opening and they did cover them. Apparently, they do not have a problem covering a $35 part after paying the service fee and the the price of the policy. I checked the plumbing company and the Heating/Cooling Company and neither were accredited with the BBB. I have to say the guys they sent to fix the garage dr were very good. Choice is better than the prior company I had in terms of communication, but I have reached the conclusion that these policies are NOT worth it. Not when they are charging you for the policy and for service charges with no repairs. Once this expires, I am DONE with them!!!!!!

Our experience so far with Choice has been mixed but over all not great. We had an appliance go out a month ago, and even though we had the top tier warranty and it was sold to us as "covering appliances" - that is not quote the truth. Our appliance could not be fixed and has a safety issue, so it can not be used. Choice will only off a SMALL fraction (approximately 7%) of what it will cost us to replace the appliance. We are still waiting on the check from Choice for that 7%, so not 100% sure yet they will do anything at all, but my understanding in purchasing the warranty was they would repair or replace. They are doing neither. We also had a hot water heater break earlier this year - and came completely out of pocket for it since the first appointment with choice was a week out and we had water spraying in our house. When we called Choice to see if we could get someone faster as it was an urgent situation - they informed us they can not do anything for emergency or urgent situations. Seems a bit scampish to sell a warranty for an item that when it breaks it is by nature an emergency, but do not offer emergency service. That guarantees they will not have to pay at all to fix a hot water heater that bursts!!! We had to pay the repair and replacement 100% out of pocket. We have had to use choice for 2 other issue besides the ones above. One was seamless and great - the other ended good, but not before we went through a week of hassles and one really really bacd contractors first.

I can’t rate this because I have not heard from Choice Home Warranty in regards to my claim. I must say when I initially called regarding a claim they did respond the next day with a claim number and someone did come out that evening to evaluate the problem, but that’s as far as it went. He said he had to wait to see what they wanted him to do….repair or replace……and I wait.

I had problems with my AC it was fixed in a timely manner. But I had my clothes dryer go out and they just wanted to send me 350.00 dollars in credit cards for HomrDepo. The dryer I had cost me 1200.00 dollars where are you going to find a clothes dryer for that amount. I have mixed emotions about them.
