I am with Choice home warranty for last 4 years and experience is good but recently some of the sell reps are very rude. I tried calling sell’s number for getting the warranty for my second home and couldn’t have bad experience than that. In fact I told them to cancel my first policy also. They challenge you for whatever you say and probably customer comes secondary for them and they can really ruin your day with talking. Fortunately ‘John’ called me later and it was easy conversation to set me up for new home warranty at the same rate. But such initial experience with customer rep should be avoided. I am happy to pay more and go to another home warranty company if I get that experience again from customer rep

The representative did not go over the plan in a professional manner. I was comparing companies and unless I requested certain answers from him, he did not address everything that the plan covered. At the end of the conversation the most important part of the transaction. Even then when I purchased the contract, I was sent a receipt with inaccurate fees. In addition the plan did not even state the amount of time that the contract would cover. I contacted the representative immediately and I was fortunate that I was able to speak with him. He did recognize the service fee that he quoted to me was inaccurate and he was going to send me another revised one. I also mentioned the amount of time that the contract covers was not written on the receipt. Although he was surprised that the years were not written in the contract he was going to make sure that everything would be accurate in the receipt that he was going to resend via email immediately. I never received the corrected receipt. I waited a while so I called again but I was told that he was gone for the day and that I could call in the morning. I am flabbergasted since, this company is supposed to be a #1 choice for customers. When I call tomorrow I will expect the incident to be handled accurately, professionally and as swift as the first transaction was handled. If not then I will cancel the contract! E.C.

Speaking with the CW customer rep they need to be able to understand and show some type of compassion when a customer clls for assistance. They are so robotic they forget the person on the other end is dealing with a difficult situation and they may be emotional. It is there home that has been effected that is why they are calling for help. Thxs for listening

I really like how easy it is to get ahold of customer service at Choice Home Warranty, but I really hate how frequently I need to. While I've had some excellent experiences with companies that have picked up my claims, the abjectly horrifying experiences I've had with two of the companies have made me seriously consider trying to get out of this home warranty and has even resulted in legal action taken against one of the companies, which uses multiple dummy corporations to pick up claims but doesn't actually have any technicians on staff. And yet these dummy corporations are still permitted to pick up my claims, and it's a struggle every single time to get my claim picked up by an ACTUAL home repair service. It's beyond just causing a headache. I've missed days of work waiting for technicians who have never come because the company doesn't exist. It's a very strange system. When it works, it's just fine. But there has to be something that can be done about who Choice Home Warranty is letting go to people's homes. Is that supposed to be funny, calling the company "Choice Home Warranty"? Because customers have close to zero choice when it comes to vetting companies working on their most valuable asset, their home.

I had the mistaken idea that Choice Home Warranty would repair or replace a broken appliance . I wasn;t aware that I had to buy the appliance and they paid to have it installed. To replace our waterheater our cost was $585.00. That's not much of a Warranty. The Plumbing problem we claimed # 178736907, still is not corrected. Thank goodness the waterheater is installed, but the plumber caught the garage door opener release rope in the rear door of his van and drove off causing $800.00 worth of damage to the Garage Door Opener. Needless to say we are not very happy.

Unfortunately, I have found that Choice is not an easy company with which to deal; i.e., scheduling a service call takes over a week many times and it takes forever to get approval from Choice on parts needed for a return service. Not only that, there have been situations when Choice would not pay for return services or mandated that I pay a huge co-pay for the return services. How would you feel were you me?

choice warranty charges a service fee,whish covers services repairs and in the event they replace. A appliances.choice does not cover every thing and If you want something extra to be covered ( example Stand alone freezer ) they charge you extra as an add on to you

Choice does not want to pay for the big ticket repairs … they like to use the term “Pre-Existing”, which is complete BS. I’m on my second request, the 1st one was not covered … the second one is on a different unit, but the same issue … so I highly anticipate the “Pre-Exsiting” BS. That’s OK … my attorney, the better business bureau, and my local news channel are in retainer. Not to mention, the technician already calls me a couple times telling me that Choice needs more information from me before they pay him ..,. Complete BS. They haven’t even called me yet or emailed me yet. Nice way to leave your tech. Hanging. ABSOLUTELY Unimpressed

Choice Home Warranty sent me an email about the same time. Everything turned out well. I was able to meet the technician this afternoon.

I have a Gas pack Furnace and Ac unit, The heat side went out and the unit needed replacement. They only authorized their MAX $3000 payment for the heater, But both units are inside the Gas pack. You can't buy one without the other. So, I have both an AC unit and a Furnace that needs replacement. This will have to go to arbitration. To get the CHW to cover two different units, which would require them to pay a max $6000.

It's great most of the time. They schedule a repair and come fix it. Unfortunately, I wish after many times of trying to figure out what is wrong and they still can't repair they would replace it sooner than later. I have had a fridge/freezer keep going down and they can't find the issue. I really wish they would replace it!

Had some amateur contractors last year 2021/2022. Thankfully they are gone Had recent dishwasher issue and was very pleased that a top contractor was used. Sears home repair/ A&E home repair. Very pleased with service. Fixed in minutes. 200$ repair. My cost 65$ 👍🏻

I just want to express my displeasure with Choice. I purchased the warranty policy on the anticipation that if something was unrepairable, it would be replaced. My refrigerator was acting up and Choice had a tech come by the next day and look at it. That was good service by Choice. The tech said it needed a new control board and he should have one in a couple of days. Later I received an e-mail from Choice congratulating me and saying they deemed the refrigerator unrepairable and offered to replace it. They offered a $986 Lowes gift card. Here in Nevada I could not find a new $986 24 cu ft refrigerator. I called Choice customer service and they offered to send a check instead of the Lowes gift care but said in their books, the side by side refrigerator we have is valued at $986. They do not use retail prices. to make matters worse, the check may take up to 30 days to be sent. I went back over the contract and it sure doesn't read that way. So, my recommendation is you make sure you totally understand their replacement policy before you purchase their warranty policy. The only reason I did not make it a 1 star is because the service response was relatively quick.

As much as a person pays for the service, the hoops a person has to go through is ridiculous. I had to replace a well pump and it never ended up being paid for because of the emergency of no water and our repairman said that the stuff you requested he sent you but then you did not accept everything he sent you. He said that he could not waste any more time with the paperwork as he had more than us as clients.

So far my experience with Choice Home Warranty is good. The first tect did not call or email me that he wasn't coming. I notified Choice and they emedily sent a different tect and he showed up and found the issue and ordered the part needed. He is supposed to be back Thursday. Hopefully the issue will be fixed then.

Reporting Claim is easy, setting up the initial appointment is easy. The follow up from their customer service is awful. Their portal is terrible as soon as you log in to ask a question it reports back that your claim is closed, this happen several times not once. Still waiting for a replacement unit since the part could not be found available. been a month.

Disappointed that CHOICE would not repair the microwave and only give me a replacement value option. Even with the replacement value given it's costing me more to purchase one of same style and have it installed. Should not cost customer more to replace than what it would have been to repair. Why have Home Warranty if in the end I pay more than CHOICE does...not to mention I had to pay $75 come out fee on top of everything!
