in my opinion the repairmen do not plan on doing the repair when they show up. They have another job scheduled because they believe that Choice is either going to deny the claim or take too long to approve the repair and they do not want to sit around waiting (wasting their time) for an approval. So even if the repair is approved you will have to set up two appointments to get the work done.

You need to hire better companies. They’re flakes, they don’t show up and don’t even bother calling. Then they don’t send estimates when they say they will. Also one was supposed to send a report to you and apparently never did so I am living with that heating system, with no filter very unhealthy! I reported these problems to you twice, and you promised to take care of the situation and never did. So I’m very dissatisfied! Someone has to do some thing about these problems. I resent paying $75 to these people and nothing gets done. They don’t keep their word so apparently you’re hiring incompetent flaky people. Some thing has to be done about this problem immediately I’m really thinking of canceling this policy and going somewhere else if this problem is not rectified immediately! Thing

The first company iron mountain plumbing were the ones the Damaged the valve the let’s the water out and the needed another work order to come back out and make the repairs without charging me another $89 dollars service fee which I appreciated and I had explained this to choice home warranty, and thought the same company would return. But Another company was sent out called drain Co and I had to pay another $89 dollars service call fee. That wasn’t right for me to pay DOUBLE

This is a nice service, my issue is that turn around time between creating the claim, assignment and actual service, shouldn't take so long. Usually if there's a reason to call for service it needs to be handled as quickly as possible, it typically takes 48hrs to be assigned and/or contacted by the contractor. Major flaw in service delivery.

We are having a problem with a $200 reimbursement for a microwave. WE were instructed by Choice that we needed to purchase a replacement, and send the shipping receipt. The shipping was delayed, and Lowes took 6 weeks to get the appliance in the store for pickup. When it finally arrived,we sent in receipt, but.... now Choice ays it was beyond the 30 day window,,, sorry " denied" . The shipping was not our fault.... very dissatisfied..

When my furnace went out, they sent someone out. He cleaned out and exhaust pipe. Checked something’s with a meter. Said it’s working now (was doing same thing as before he came). Didn’t wait to be sure it was heating. Left and it still acted up. Called again to Choice and no one called for appt Got someone on my own. Got it fixed in like 25 min. Working great now. Not happy with Choice these two times. Before they were great.

I was in a situation where I was talked into getting a second policy on a phantom property. Before it took effect I called the same salesperson to cancel it and refund my $1260. He didn’t and a week later I called and spoke to a company rep. Again nothing happened. It took 2 more calls and a total of 1 month . I finally got my refund but I am disappointed at the way this was handled.

This is my frist time having a home warranty and I feel like the experience has been as expected, you pay a large sum of money up front and then when you go to file a claim you get some push back on what all is listed, and when the tech arrives they have to wait on the company (for over an hour in my case) to answer a simple question of, can I replace her bathtub knobs that are causing the leak in her tub?

The technician was great! Very nice and quickly diagnosed the issue. The problem was the Choice Home Warranty not getting back to him to let him know if they authorize the service. So, although the technician knew what needed to be done, he couldn't do anything because Choice Home Warranty never responded...so the issue/problem is not fixed.

Do you really want to know. The stove is working very well, however I am extremely disappointed in the situation involving my dishwasher. It leaks! I was told it would not be repaired! So what is the next step. We are in the understanding that this would get replaced and I've never heard another word on the matter. With the exception of the stove and clothes dryer we are not happy or getting our money's worth.

I submited a service call to have my air conditioner fixed. It took over a week for customer service to find someone. Hard to take when you live in Florida. When the technician finally arrived, he told me that he had plenty of opening and he doesnt know why they didnt call him earlier. It would have been nice to get some follow up that they had found someone and to make sure that the repair was complete. I was told that I was a "VIP" customer because I always made my payment on time but I did not see any special treatment.

when I called in about my a/c not working I did not talk to someone to say that it appeared the cause was by an animal. Then I found out it was not covered, but the a/c company took my money ($65) anyway and then charged $200 to fix the problem. He did the wiring just fine but would not clean out the rat nest from inside the a/c. I had to do that myself. Since he did the work and charged me $200, I feel since the repair was not covered I should not have had to pay the $65. I would not recommend this company again. I do thank you for your prompt service.

Been with Choice for years. They are the 1st to get paid each month from our household. When tech comes, pay another fee as well. Seems like Choice uses mostly C- rated companies and do not like the fact that they do not take care of the problem, have to seek permission from Choice and wait on approval, when we have informed them before arriving. Most of the calls are perhaps small things and the way we were sold, if we try and try can not repair it, we replace it. Has Never happened. They have been to our home for years for our A/C unit, never fixed, send people out to try and sell us a new one or pay a ridiculous price for repair, when it was something minor. A few years A/C actually went out and made us wait days in over degree heat and husband with severe medical problems where we needed air, had to purchase a window unit, practically live a one room and our home is all electric. That was considered an emergency for us but we still paid our monthly fee. Maybe one we did not pay, Choice allowed the free month because of something they promised and we did not receive . About 4 months ago, we had issue with our sink, they sent someone out, C-rated customer, collected $85. Called Choice, we were denied, we ran down the parts vis internet, they totaled $5 and change. Called Choice, informed them, someone in upper management spoke to me like you would speak to an bad animal. We informed him of what the amount was, also the tech they sent was rude. They told us they had reconsidered after we ask why were we paying each month just to pay an additional $85 and get denied that the parts were less than $6 and they had collected our monthly charge plus $85. Sent the same guy and he repaired the appliance, a job that took approx 15 minutes or less. That is most of our experiences with Choice. We will say that approx. 2 months ago we had a dryer issue the same one we had last year and the person told us it was fixed. They sent somone out and to our surprise he fixed the problem. Now we realize there is a limit on a particular item, shouldn't be, we pay each month, we should call and they come, however, by the time one roll around, we could have paid for the item we were denied service for. Yes it should be peace of mind, honestly, we dread calling Choice, because we usually get denied. They have the best customer service when we call initially, just wish everyone else followed suit. Question: Would you Stay with Choice?

Quick and easy submitting a claim, but the process to get a credit is TOO LONG! 30 days to receive an email?! I had to come out of pocket to purchase my new washing machine because the credit would take 30 days and I could not go 30 days without a working washing machine. My credit was also extremely conservative-less than $400 credit for a washing machine isn’t on par with market values. Overall quick service, but internal processes could be faster and company could be a little less cheap when offering credits.

Difficult to get ahold of, felt they were deceptive when I purchased a 3 year program, when I tried to cancel with one year left they said i had no refund available and that I was cover until the end of my policy term. First time my claim was rejected which was my fault because I had someone do the work needed while they were inspecting my AC thinking I would save them a service call which didn’t matter. Apparently they don’t want to cut costs and you need to call them first. The second time I filed a claim they couldn’t find anyone to do the repair and I arranged my own service person. I have to admit the 3rd time they were able to get someone out to deal with my garage door problem. The customer service is not helpful and everyone I’ve dealt with was rather curt. I am going to change to another company and would not recommend Choice Warranty to anyone.

This needs to be guarenteed in 24 hours, with other companies offering the same thing with faster service. For the amount of the CHW contract we paid, service should be guarenteed in 24 hours, or a portion of your money back.

I have had both great and terrible experiences with Choice. I think value wise they are a good choice. To CHW’s credit, my worse experience was eventually corrected by CHW. Although I can not get back my time and inconvenience I was not out of my money. My successful home repairs out number my unsuccessful!
