They suck. I haven't gotten no money back. I've been calling them for a whole week now and I cannot get in touch with no one. They don't come out when they say they're going to come and when your stuff were down, they're not there for you, but they won't pay money on time. Every month they want their money on time. If you're not on time, they will call you. But when it's time for them to fix my stuff, they're not there for me.

The first time they ordered the wrong water heater although they were sent the measurements and then when they were told it was the wrong water heater they ordered another water heater and the plumber mentioned that they ordered it. However, it was out of stock where they ordered it, and I have not been able to get in contact with anybody. Nobody's called me back to find out what's going on. I hope this is resolved soon. And then I may just cancel. I don't know what I'm going to do.

I've used my warranty three times and they have very good technicians that they use, but two out of the three times they either disallowed the repair or they charged me for something that was part of the repair. So it seemed like a bit of a scam. When my old company charged 65, it was 65 to fix it. But with Choice Home Warranty they seem to always find some reason not to allow the whole thing or all of it, so they each time I had to pay 100 or 150 - more than the 65.

Slow response. Once they get there, they're very good. I tried to use it on my ice machine, which I was told when I bought it that it would be covered. It was installed. It's not an ice machine in a refrigerator, it's an ice machine in a separate appliance. And when I called about a repair they said it wasn't covered.

It takes FOREVER to get a technician out. I'm now going on 4 weeks without a dishwasher because the tech that they send won't give us an ETA on when a simple latch will arrive which I could have ordered in 48 hours on Amazon. As a broker, I have always pushed to have a CHW policy provided for my client but this is the first time I've lived in a home covered by CHW. Needless to say, I will no longer be negotiating to add CHW policies for my clients.

Recently, I had an issue with my pool's filter cartridge tank, causing the pool to get dirtier due to the broken part. Despite submitting a claim to the home warranty company, they initially denied it, claiming the dirty filters were a result of the broken part recirculating dirty water. After multiple attempts to prove the issue with pictures, they finally approved the claim, but I had already fixed it myself to avoid further damage to the pool. The delay in approval led me to take matters into my own hands to prevent having to drain the pool for an acid wash. The overall experience with the home warranty company was frustrating and time-consuming.

I was emailed one price and when I paid I was charged a different amount even my service calls will be more than what the email said. I did call them and spoke with the gentleman ‘Melvin Q’ that sent me the quote, he was not interested in what I had to say about being over charged. Mr.Q was too busy trying to up charge me to a 3 1/2 year warranty.

Overall service is good, but sometimes it’s like pulling teeth to get them to acknowledge sometimes fixing one root cause will fix multiple symptoms. It seems like they want to collect multiple visit fees vs getting it done right one time.

I had asked about a certain plumbing company here in el paso tx and that's when she told me she would leave me her name number and ext. But I don't see that information anywhere. Service for my heat pump was scheduled. Tech came out as scheduled. Said my system was low on Freon. Didn't have the equipment with him to check for a leak. New A coíl was installed last March and system was fúlly charged . I had the system inspected in January and was told system was operating properly. Tech said he was unable to get in touch with CHW to get approval for any repairs. I paid my service charge and my system is still in the same condition as before. A waste of my money.

We have utilized the services of Choice Home Warranty three times in the last year. The first time was for electrical issues and we STILL have outlets that don’t function properly. The next time was for a plumbing issue that involved our water softener and it was resolved. However, a week ago we called for a plumber to unclog a complete stoppage in our kitchen sink. The plumber arrived five days later and was unable to unclog the sink. Our issue is still not resolved and, because an email from Choice Home Warranty basically said that this is the “best we can do” we are having to call another plumber today to resolve the problem. I would not recommend this company.

Not happy with “Choice” sending repair person. After 6 days and they couldn’t find anyone they told me to find someone and they would reimburse. The cost was $160 for diagnostic. Now they say they dont pay for diagnostic if we use our own. If they found someone they would have to pay them. They gave us no choice but to find someone to come out.

First off I'm losing water by the hr while all this goes on for a month. Initially choice sends out this extremely incompetent supposed plumber that doesn't even go under the house to see the leaks. I complain enough to get a second opinion. Which were competent but slow on reporting back to choice. Then choice declines the claim all because they mentioned something outside the house. Even so they should cover what is inside the house! So furious about this whole ordeal. Dealing with this a month and just end up screwed. What do I have warranty for again!? The right thing for you to do is still cover the house and not the outside. Whether it means a new quote from the plumber or whatever. This isn't right

I liked the quick response when a claim is completed online. I did not like fact that I was given an additional charge for a repair when it was indicated on the way that it was covered. Although the cist was minimal it should be clearly indicated in the contract. Overall for the most part it is worth having in the end.

Communication is poor, when I call to speak with a representative at the number given I get an automated response to go online and send a message and wait for a response, I’m still waiting…. In order to speak to a customer service representative, I had to call the representative I brought my policy from to transfer my call. I’ve also had other issues with parts being ordered, but not shipped and not being told anything…..poor communication is main issue. Thank you.
