We had a freeze, and one of the pipes in the bathroom froze. We called on Sunday, and on Tuesday the plumber came out, but it took him 2 days to fix it. Tuesday, and then he came back Wednesday morning and it finally drained. He tried really hard and did a very good job. I think it was worth the money. It's $75 for the poor guy who had to come back twice, but he seemed happy.

Recently my dishwasher stopped working and they sent an appliance technician out to fix it and he did. He had to come back a second time, but the second time he came back was just one day later and so the dishwasher is working fine now.

It's a good value. I really haven't had to deal with them that often, but the times I have, have been positive. Just recently they got someone out here to to work on my washing machine and it's still in the process of being fixed.

I'm currently involved in a situation where the dishwasher failed and the door would not stay open. I contacted Choice, so they sent out a technician who then submitted the request and Choice denied the order, indicating that it was not part of the package offer.

The last time I used it was really the only time I've really been disappointed. My water heater busted and it was included in my contract. I had to do the upgrade for code compliance. When they sent the plumber out, he did something where it didn't properly drain the water heater, so water filled up in the pan. When I called them back on it, they sent a different plumber out. When he came out he said that it had been the original plumber that installed the water heater that had not done it correctly, so they were denying the claim to fix it.

When there are certain extenuating circumstances that arise, you should be able to put your customer first and try to step in their shoes and feel what they're going through as if it were your own property. Sometimes I find that they don't look at the whole picture when they decide whether or not you qualify for a claim. And just as an example that I just had this last month, I live in Texas where we've had 100+ temperatures for 21 days with no rain and so we're we're burning up here. I have my Choice warranty with my home and my 2 rented houses and the air conditioner went out in one of my rent houses. So I immediately filed a claim and I didn't get a timely response. So I called and asked if I could do a reimbursement so I could get my own technician because it's a small town, I have a lot of connections, and I could get whoever I need immediately. And in this situation, there's a baby that is living in the house and there's an aged person that lives in the house and the temperature inside the rent house was 120 degrees and it's unacceptable. I kept trying to have the people at Choice understand that I needed help immediately. And they said no, I had to wait 24 to 48 hours. And so I brought over air conditioners, whatever I could do, but it wasn't enough. Long story short (you can go through my notes to see all of this and who I talked to there), they finally got somebody who said that they could come over to check my air conditioner in seven days. I said that's not acceptable. The people won't be alive in seven days. And I can't do that to my renters and I have to do it now. Please do something that will let me go ahead and get someone to fix the repair. We went through another day or two of what I thought was negotiations, which did not happen. So I just said, well, then I just have to do it myself. You can cancel trying to get someone to come to me in a week because I'm fixing it today, so I had to pay for it out of my pocket, even though I have a home warranty to take care of those kinds of things. Turns out it was just a capacitor that needed to be replaced and a breaker. And so I got it done that day and I ended up paying, I don't know, $300 to $400 or something like that. But you see what I'm saying: there are certain circumstances that arise that even when you're going by the book, there should be some leeway in there.

I'm very happy with the the service. Professional and the problem was taken care of right away. The gentleman that came here to fix our garage door came and checked out what type of motor it was for our garage door opener. He got the company to let him know that the garage door needed a new motor. And he said that he would be back tomorrow. 10 minutes later, he texted me and said, would you mind if I went to Lowe's, picked up the motor because they just gave me the okay and I'll be back and it'll take me maybe 10-15 minutes to put it in. I said, yeah, go ahead, it's all yours. So I would say the service that the gentleman performed was awesome.

They're always looking out for me and it may take a little longer than I think it should, but overall they're very considerate and professional. Recently I had a pipe break and they sent a plumber out within a week and he's been very busy, so he's coming in fact today to repair it. I am just so happy that I have it because they have fixed a pipe for me already.

I used my warranty for my furnace, and it took me about 2 weeks to get some help, and thank God, it wasn't cold outside. But I like to have them get a better reaction or faster reaction because I live in the northeast.

It was very poor service. It took them hours to get back to me and then the person that I was speaking to had such an accent, I could not understand them and so we had to call back. And I'm not sure that they put in the same type of disposal that I had before. This one is much smaller and my service fee had gone up to $85, which I didn't know. Also, my rates have gone up, so I will be looking for another carrier.

I can say to anybody that wants to know about the warranty that they are a good company. I have referred a lot of folks to you guys based upon your performance. You guys do a great job. Basically, if they can't find a provider for that specific problem, what they'll do is they'll e-mail you or they'll text you and let you know, hey, we're working on it, and I love that follow-up. I am moving out of my house and I recently needed some some plumbing work done. They sent a person out within the day and had it done. Also, during the inspections of the house, there were two other minor things that were wrong with the house. So I called and let them know I got electrical problem. They sent somebody out within the day and there was something else. I can't remember what it is, but they sent somebody out ASAP and I love that.

I've just had to use it recently twice now. Once for refrigerator and once for a washer, and both of them couldn't be repaired and Choice gave me a compensation for both. They don't pay anywhere really close to the replacement value, but that's kind of to be expected I guess.

Choice seems like a good value for your money. I used for my leaking faucet. There is a drawback that I have to wait until business days when it happened over the weekend. I did appreciate the fact that they came a day early. I appreciate that my issue was fixed.

I've had to have multiple service appts for different appliances in the last several months and CHW has come through every single time. I had switched from another Home warranty company after having many disappointing experiences. The difference is night and day. I pay a lower month fee, lower service fee, and have more covered items. And they have excellent service techs in their network. I highly rate them to everyone I know.

I'm not very happy with their service. They didn't cover some things they should cover and they are requiring replacement of things only giving a little bit of money towards the replacement. I had some bad plumbing come from my house. It was outside so they wouldn't replace it because it wasn't within the house which to me is wrong.

I think it's a good value. The first time I ever used it was when my dishwasher broke and so I put in a claim on the dishwasher and they came in to tell me that the parts were no longer available. They didn't make that dishwasher anymore and so Choice Warranty told me that they would give me $240 towards the new dishwasher and I ended up getting the local representative involved and they ended up getting the new dishwasher.

The service men are very good. I'm just not using the warranty on my air conditioner service because I was informed that I was gonna have to pay an extra eleven hundred dollars to get it done. My understanding was when I bought this is that we paid the sixty five dollars service fee and that my whatever was covered would be taking care of either replaced or repaired. I don't think that that's a good representation of of of Choice when everybody assumes that you pay a sixty something dollar service and that's it.

In general, they are trying to be helpful. But sometimes they just drop the ball. I guess the technician was assigned, and he kept making appointments and never showing up. And then they kept assigning the same technician several times. So I just said no right away. Can someone please send someone else? And it just takes a very long time to get any message. It took a very long time to get any message across to them.
