American Home Shield sent Mr Freeze out to check my air conditioning unit. They reported that there was physical damage so my claim was denied. All they did was to look down the top of the unit. How can they tell if there was physical damage? They also said the compositor was bad. I can't understand after checking the reviews giving Mr Freeze a 1 star rating why they would use this company. I contacted American Home Shield to notify them of this rating and question the report from Mr. Freeze. I asked to see the paperwork from Mr Freeze which they are sending me by email and should be to me by tomorrow. They also said that their review panel would check out Mr Freeze and the complaints posted on Yelp. I am hoping that American Home Shield will get back to me quickly with their finding and reverse their decision or send another company that has a decent rating.

The microwave broke. After having to wait for an appliance repairman he told me it might not be covered as it a counter top with a built in trim kit. After his visit your representatives kept telling me for a couple of weeks it was covered. Every day the kept telling the authorization dept. will be approving it in a day. I kept call and kept getting the same answer. When I call the appliance repair the woman told me it was not covered and hung up on me. Then two weeks later you called and told me it is not covered. You did a video inspection. You should have told me then it was not covered before I paid my service fee. In addition, it was not handled in a timely manner. I have told my realtor and all my friends of this negative experience.

I'm having the worst experience trying to get Home Shield to replace my dryer, they said they were going to email me concerning the replacement and now it's four weeks and still no replacement dryer. Last month I contacted Home Shield regarding a plumber issue, I paid the $75.00 upfront cost to activate the order, they took 3 weeks to find a plumber, then advised me that I had to locate one myself and contact them once I had the plumber come out , when the plumber contact Home Shield, you informed him that you didn't cover the plumber cost, so I paid him out of my own pocket and I asked Home Shield to refund my upfront service fee of $75.00 since they wasn't going to cover the cost of the plumbing. They denied me my $75.00 upfront service fee.

My refrigerator stopped working more than a month ago. The first technician you assigned to me could not come out for more than six weeks. The second one assigned came out quickly but the parts needed took almost two weeks. Two days after it was repaired, it stopped working again and I have been waiting for a week for someone to come out and look at it. You try living without a refriderator in this summer heat for almost two months and see how happy you are with the service.

My Air Conditioner went out on July 14 had to wait 48 hrs for them to get a tech, the tech company they assigned does not service my area plus they are on my do not use list that being said the tech could not get to me till Aug 10. AHS said they would get another company but I would need to wait another 48 hrs they for what they said was an another tech but it was the same as before. this happened 2 more times each time having to wait 48 hrs on the 5th time they finally fount a tech that came out that same day.

Very difficult to deal with AHS. I had numerous problems with my contact person and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that the supervisor would call me back and they never did. The issue was that the bathroom faucet could not be matched to our other faucet, so I had to purchase a matching faucet, but was told that AHS would not negotiate the price that I paid. I'm very disappointed in the way AHS handled the situation!

I had broken ac. The appt I received was 2 weeks away. I called and complained about time without air and you sent Rivers ac. They ended up replacing unit. After the install the active overflowed the pan into my second floor. I had to pay 450 to have ceiling painted. The owners of Rivers said he would pay for damages. I have asked 3 times and he has not sent check. I took his word. painted

Granted this is not going to be every experience with AHS, but I have been dealing with communication errors since 08 July 2022. It is now 28 July and I am being told that my issue is getting resolved. I am having a hard time with the rating because there are multiple facets in this concern. After many calls between AHS, customer service contractor teams and the technician contracting team, something clicked, communication occurred, and things started happening. I don't want to think it was a verbal advisory of me preparing to seek legal counsel, but things worked out...so far.

I was treated horrible when I call in after one of the contractors they sent out to do my repairs tried to scam me after trying to explain what happened to me I was told by a manager on the escalation team my concerns did not matter and there was nothing the company was going to do about it when I told him I wanted to cancel my service because of how I was being treated he refused and told me I needed to call back tomorrow if I wanted to cancel

Customer service is overseas. lag time ( 2 seconds ) from when you ask a question to a response is slow. this leads to each party talking over the other party. language seems to be a challenge as well. Next other than simple fixes...like a plumber, getting American Home Shield to repair / replace a broken item is hard. It shouldn't be this hard. We have a contract....fix it or replace it. We are 4 weeks into getting our oven fixed or replaced. Multiple repair people have been sent to look at the challenge with the oven. All have said the oven needs to be replaced. However since it is an expensive oven ( Viking Gas Oven ) American Home Shield is dragging their feet.....basically not honoring the contract...un happy customer.

Electrician advised I need a new paddle fan. advise I would receive a call back from American Home Shield and/or his company. i've called six times still waiting for two weeks and American Home Shield's customer service reps keep lying to me telling me that they are going to send matter to the escalation department and/or your subcontractor department to resolve this issue. So far it's been over a month and every time I call I get the same response from American Home Shield customer service reps they will escalate this issue as it turns out the electrician is also not responding to phone calls from American Home Shield. Your customer service reps refuse to send out another company to finish the job. I had a similar incident last year and you guys had to send out a second firm to finish the job that the first firm you sent did not complete. I need my replacement paddle fan not the run around that I keep getting in dealing with you American Home Shield I'm ready to leave you guys I found another company!!!!!!!!

I moved into my new home recently and the first time I used the sink in my master bathroom, I noticed the drain stopper was pulled up. I released it, only for water to start dripping below the sink under the cabinet. I closed the drain stopper again and when I did, it came totally loose from under the sink. I called and reported this to American Homes Shield. I was charged the $100 call out fee. The plumber who came to my home said that sometimes this happens when the drain stopper is fitted too tight by the person who installed it. My house is more than 30ys old so I don't know who installed the sinks in the master bathroom. American Home Shield then told me that the repair was not covered under the $700 policy I have and I have since spent another $300 having it fixed.

No repair is considered an emergency, even though our AC quit during a heat advisory and under no circumstances can I choose a repairman that can offer immediate repair, even though the appointed contractor can not make it out for days. There should be exceptions to emergency situations, I found an HVAC company that could repair within one day and is probably less expensive than the contractor that was chosen by this warranty company. Because of this I decided to cancel and after getting high pressure sales tactics, I was finally transferred to the person who was suppose to cancel, this person hung up on me while I was explaining while I tried to cancel. I finally had to call a manager that helped us set up the warranty, so she could cancel for us. I would never purchase this warranty again and I will tell everyone I know about my experience with this company.

they are saying it was a existing condition. I thought my plan protected me. I never heard of pre existing condition in repairs, only with hospital patients. So I also don't understand how they can say it's pre existing because I bought and moved in here in April and it wasn't going it then that I was aware of. So I'm on my way to paying out of pocket that 8 thought this insurance would take care of after u paid my deductible of 125.00.

I feel like I shouldn't have to ask if my issue is an emergency. They should ask or have a box online for me to select emergency. I've had to call back and have an order resubmitted to the contractor as an emergency call.
