I am very disappointed with the customer service. I had to pay for a new furnace out of pocket and have been trying since March 2023 to talk with someone about reimbursement. I sent a letter with all documentation to your company and can't get a response. I had to pay out of pocket due to medical necessity and no one at your company cares at all. Would not recommend your company to anyone. I am looking into other home warranty options at this time.

It's takes way too long to get service! You don't have emergency service! I had a serious plumbing issue that required immediate attention and I had to call rotor rooter who quickly fixed the problem. They were amazing not AHS! I'd like to see service requests a lot sooner! I psy $165 monthly which is a lot and I don't use the service much. I am contemplating cancelling the contract. I would like a manager to call me so I can explain in more detail.

The first tech came out and did not work on the type HVAC I have. I kept getting follow up texts that an estimate was in process which was incorrect. I now waiting for another tech on Thursday and I have not had air for a week!

After 17 years with AHS I cancelled the policy because , they advertise, all the appliances are covered / covered appliances, but the fact is just the opposite.., Made claims , 8 claims 2 covered but all others are denied , saying oh it is old or some bogus reasons . I will never ever recommend to anyone AHS. False advertisement for sure . Waiting for my experience to voiced to YouTube

I’ve used American Homeshield since 2005 when I purchased my first home in WA. As the monthly price of the warranty & of each service has increased over time, the quality of the service providers and the customer service provided by AHS has declined precipitously. It is evident the goal is NOT to provide homeowners with resolution of the issues we hope to plan for and take care of by having a home warranty in the first place, but to simply patch the issue and keep collecting the premium and service fees.

AHS did not cover replacing gas line. Plumber said would be easier to install new line overhead rather than cramped crawl space. AHS said no pay if not as original gas line install. So...I'm out $2500.

I wish I’d gone with a different company, but now I’m out thousands of dollars to replace a failed HVAC system, after my family and I having to brave the entire winter with no heat. They then had someone email me over and over again, to conclude they would refund a menial fraction of what it cost to replace the unit, only to have the promised check never arrive. They’re the WORSE.

I’ve had a leak and had plumber come out 3 times and has not been fixed they say they can cut into the sub floor because American home shield won’t let them. This is very annoying I pay for a service and can’t get nothing done!!!! I’m thinking of canceling my warranty!!!

Your service is really sucks this time. I need thermocouples and wires for my water heater but you say it’s going to cost me over $1700 to replace my heater because you only cover the tank. My tank works fine. I just need new thermocouples and wires. I still don’t have a detailed invoice of what the $1700 is for. I have a 75 year old mother living here and we’re on our 5th day of no hot water! You should be ashamed of your service and if having me for something that I don’t need. Awful!!! :(

We have had a non-operational refrigerator since November 2022. AHS has sent over 3 vendors for a total of 8 appointments never fixing the issue. We have requested a cash out numerous times as they are unable to fix the issue. They keep saying we have to follow their procedure and give them an opportunity to fix. It is unethical that that they are not honoring the terms of their contract agreement and that we have not had an operational refrigerator for 5.5 months.

I had to have American Home Shield come out 4 times for my ice maker. It was finally changed. At $75 a visit plus what I pay yearly it is not worth it to have AHS. Changing the ice maker should have happened on the first, or maximum, second visit. Or I should not have continued paying the $75 fee each time they sent a company to me.

I couldn't understand the customer service representative. While she was quite sweet, and was trying her best, her accent was very thick. It is extremely difficult to connect with a live person. Your vendors are poorly rated on Yelp. I have attempted to contact Hill's General Plumbing Services Inc-NB three times, two voicemails and one email, with no luck.

Did a seasonal maintence check and was charged 2 service fees for my AC. 1 for inspection and then another for them to replace what was needing during the inspection. Also had another experience with emergency and wouldn't reinburstment me cause it wasn't one of theirs who couldn't come out immediately.

Every time I put a claim in, I’ve had no problem except one and it said plumbing was covered and I had to pay out-of-pocket and that’s it
