Terrible response time and has zero concern for helping home owner. Customer service reps are all overseas and speak very broken English making communication next to impossible. Companies used to fix any issue put you at the back of the line due to the hassle of repair & parts approvals. Unless you don’t mind waiting several days or it’s a major appliance replacement it’s better to just hire service direct or DIY!!!

My experience with AHS was very unpleasant. Poor customer service experience. Even with the best plan the out of pocket expenses made it where I would have been better off not going through the warranty and being able to pick my own contractor. Often the contractor available was not able to fix the issues and I still had to hire someone else. It was not worth the time and money or stress. Couldn’t recommend AHS to anyone!

I dislike the enormous price increase every year (increase in overall cost and cost per service call) with no increase in service. I dislike that I always have to call the company that receives my request to schedule an appt instead of them calling me in a timely matter what they get the service request.

A business hired by AHS to work in my house broke a pipe and did not fix the issue. They refused to return. AHS refused to do anything after me calling for weeks to resolve this. Eventually they told me it was too late to review this claim and I was forced to pay a second and third time to resolve this. Overall I have paid around $1500 for a clogged drain.

You folks sent a plumber out to investigate a water leak in my Kitchen that was was damaging my wood laminate flooring. They found a small leak in a water line behind my kitchen cabinet going to my ice maker. they just left the line, didn't replace it, or cap it off. This wasn't acceptable, at a minimum they should have replaced the the leaking line...

I do not like American Home Shield and don't think their outsources contractors are qualified for more complicated issues. I'm sure they are fine for a simple plumbing and electrical fixs. I had a problem with my tankless water heater and was a disaster. I had to call a plumber that was qualified to troubleshoot and they identified the issue in 5 min.

AHS sent a HVAC technician to fix my heating unit. The technician determined that one part is not functioning and said i need to order the part and will come back next week. When he came back he claimed that one part is missing. My heating Unit was functioning very well before i made the call to AHS. How could my Unit be functioning with a missing part all these years? I question the integrity and expertise of the companies/technicians they use to fix my HVAC

Reimbursement payment for small refrigerator top freezer without icebreakers Just received reimbursement check for side-side refrigerator with ice maker it took to long to get reimbursement on it I had to send receipt three times this was unacceptable to me thank for taking so long for reimbursement on appliance.

I have been a customer of AHS for years and had not ever had a problem getting my products serviced or replaced when needed. Until recently, I had 2 vendors come out to check my washer that was making a loud noise, placed service request early Feb, 2nd vendor came out when first vendor failed to diagnose the issue, 2nd vendor came out, it's been 2 weeks and still no follow up that it will either be fixed or have to be replaced. Don't know what's going on now, but seriously thinking about taking my business elsewhere.

Horrible bunch of crooks. Lie after lie when you need a repair. They keep telling me my case is expedited but when nothing ever comes of it. It's been over 24 hours and still no assigned tech. Put your money in an emergency bank account in case you need a repair. I've spent over $1000 on my plan and the very first time I need to use it, they fail miserably.

Customer service is nonexistant. Just people broad following a script. We have a dishwasher which has broken down 4 times since July 2023. It has nbot worked since the 3rd week of January. The repar comapny - Astro Appliances told us a part was recalled. We had ABSOLUTE proof from GE (the part's mfr.) that it was NOT recalled. Astro Appliances and HAS ignored our evidence. YOUR "SERVICE" IS ABYSMAL. WE LOATH WORKING WITH AHS.

Went to use the service for the first time as our water heater wasn’t functioning properly. They said it needs replaced which I was told is covered. Then they tell me I am still required to pay $1300 to cover the repairs. Don’t quite get the purpose of having the warranty if I still have to cover the entire cost of the repair. Was planning to renew the warranty and no longer doing so. Also informed my realtor to find a different home warranty service to recommend to her customers.

I did not have hot water in my house for 4 months as the company would never return a call or provide any support for a contractor that would not complete work. I made over 30 calls and never was able to speak to a supervisor or had the problem resolved. I ended up paying over $3000 dollars. The reassigned provider did a great job but it was denied by AHS as saying it was electronic. They provider stated many times that is was in no way electronic.

They did a poor job of dealing with my need to replace my water heater on a Friday when their vendor wasn’t available until Monday. We are seniors with kids in the house and having no hot water during the winter when night temps were hitting 32 degrees wasn’t an option. I used a licensed plumber and had the bills for AHS to review and they refused. I am a public adjuster working in prop claims over 40years and I find this type of customer service appalling.
