I am a CHW customer. I have been a customer for years. I don't like the way you all valued my stove. I have ran into a few problems in my home and you guys were great. This time with my stove I was not satisfied, from $299 to $350. I priced some stoves I didn't find anything under $400. Mrs. O did her job but the policy I wasn't happy with. (Researching) I'm going to check the box to agree, only because I can't move on if I don't. The only thing I will agree to is doing this survey.

Bought their top home warranty package. My Florida home's HVAC system failed in the middle of a hot central Florida Summer on 2017. I called CHW they could not locate a local HVAC company willing to take my job. The next day CHW advised me I was authorized to locate my own local HVAC business to repair my system. I selected a reputable company that had serviced my 11-year-old system in the past. They recommended a complete replacement of my HVAC system. They submitted the claim to CHW on my behalf. CHW denied the claim despite appeals. They did not speak to the technician they authorized. They claimed, "my HVAC system failed not due to normal wear and tear and would not cover the replacement or even repair". I'd love to understand how an 11 year old HVAC system that received yearly routine maintenance did not fail due to "normal wear and tear". Especially one that wasn't inspected by them.

I recently purchased a home warranty with CHW. I recently had to have my washer worked on. The response time to get a tech was reasonable and the repairs were done and it didn't cost me but just a service fee. Having a home warranty gives me great comfort.

This was my first time using Choice Warranty. They sent out Unstoppable Plumbers in Palm Harbor, for a backed up toilet. I contacted Choice about 8:00pm, and the plumbers were sent out before noon the next day.

Frustrated with Choice Home warranty. I called into make a claim, and that fairly well. Not the response time I was expecting based on what I was told response time would be when buying the package. Called on Tuesday, scheduled repair was originally Saturday. Repair company called on a Friday and rescheduled appointment for Sunday. I called Choice Customer Service Desk when told plumping company said they only did plumbing, not the drywall that had been damaged. Choice said I would have to file 2nd claim for the drywall repair portion, and pay a second claim fee. Actual repair work of plumbing went well. Just disappointed claim not handled as one claim.

I have just purchased and will let you know how it goes. My policy does not start till end of February 2020. I found the gentleman on the phone to be very personable and was very helpful in his explanations to my questions.

Service was fast. Person that was sent to fix my electrical problem was pleasant and fast but, making sure that everything was correct. He also moved everything back in place when he was finished.

It seems like everything that goes wrong at our home it's not covered. The team that came out to help us are great. Simrel's Plumming are wonderful men. The people who work for CHW are friendly and did explain things to us. Just they don't seem to cover the BIG problems for us.

I have had other company’s ,that cost over seven and eight hundred dollars a year . With company you have a choice to pay up front on a plan and lock in a lifetime rate.And cost less

Everything went well until I requested monthly Installments instead of a one lump payment, he the sales rep seem to be bothered that I wouldnt pay everthing up front. Because of his attitude towards me discourages me to renew after a year or refer others.

I called CHW during the holidays and they were able to schedule a technician within the same week. The technician was very professional and efficient. They were able to resolve my issues and I now have working appliances! And just in time for the holidays! Thank You CHW!

When I called the customer service rep was very nice and polite and willing to help. I was issued a claim number and told that I would be receiving a email from CHW and someone would be out within 24 hours to handle my HVAC unit. This was the first time I have ever used CHW, so I was very pleased.

I was very pleased that the furnace technician called with in 20 minutes to set up an appointment. He was kind enough to work around my work schedule . He was able to get my furnace started until he could come back with the part, but did tell me it my only last a little longer. He returned when he said and was quick and fixed my furnace.

The service man was very friendly and polite. He was earlier than scheduled which was great so I didn't have to wait around for him.He was able to fix my washer and was very professional.

My review of Choice Home Warranty First, understand that warranty companies only make money when the amount you pay for the agreement is less than what they have to pay. With some customers they lose, and with others they come out ahead. I understand how businesses operate; on average, they need to make money to stay in business. If you are signing up because your house is old and has a lot of problems, realize that many of the needed repairs will likely be excluded. Don't expect to get new appliances when one breaks down. Before you sign up and pay, read the agreement in detail. If you understand the problems in your home, you can make an informed decision. I can understand they can't cover everything, so if you do decide to get a policy, realize they only cover a specific subset of issues; There is a very high likelihood that the repairs you need covered will NOT be covered. My mistake was not reading the fine print closely enough. I knew there were some exclusions, but I had some claims denied due to exclusions that were debatable. Some exclusions are fairly clear, others not so clear. The first repair we had was a water heater that started leaking. It was actually an excluded item because it was due to corrosion, but they paid a portion anyway when I told them I simply wanted to cancel the policy. I thought that was nice. Other repairs were declined. Freon leaks for refrigerators are not covered, failure due to age or corrosion, plumbing leaks in the foundation/slab, Also realize what the refund policy is; I didn't read it closely enough. We purchased a five year plan for $1,750. We spent many, many hours on the phone trying to get CHW to cover some repairs, and finally in frustration we cancelled about two years into the agreement. We ended up getting nothing back. I figured we would get some money back, but the fine print says that the refund amount will be the pro rata amount, less any service charges. Had I known I would not have cancelled. It would have been nice if the person who "helped" us with the cancellation had let us know we would get nothing back. They only told us we would be refunded the pro rata amount, WITHOUT telling us they would subtract any amounts paid. For CHW, they get to keep the full amount paid with no further obligation. The only cost is another frustrated customer who might post a negative review. Overall I would have been better off financially if I never signed up; at best for us it was break-even. If I place a value on the frustration from dealing with the claims process and the MANY hours wasted trying to get them to cover charges, this was a colossal waste. Some of the people at CHW were polite and professional, but others we spoke with were just plain rude, and failed to respond to emails and phone calls. Some people might have better luck than me, but I do NOT recommend Choice Home Warranty. I do acknowledge my lack of attention to the details of the fine print contributed to this, but in the end, it was the unprofessional manner of some in the claims process that led us to make another irrational decision and cancel when I am SURE they knew we would get nothing back. They said NOTHING to us about getting nothing back in the cancellation, and in fact told us that we would be refunded the pro rata amount, omitting the reduction by past amounts paid and that we would get nothing. We had to call to be told this. There was no other communication with us that we were not entitled to a refund. My advice: If you are looking for a home warranty product, look elsewhere. However, realize there are likely to be similar limitations with other companies as well. But maybe they are more prompt and professional than we experienced with CHW. If you currently have a warranty with Choice Home Warranty, cancelling is probably not a good idea either because you won't get much back. Do the math: add up any amounts they have paid for you, and compare it to what you might get back. It probably only makes sense if you have never used it. Even though I guess it would have been better to not have cancelled, I can honestly say I am relieved I don't have to go through the hassle of trying to get repairs approved through them and deal with the few unprofessional people. Again, not everyone was unprofessional, but enough.

Called for an appointment and got one very quickly. The gentleman who came out with very nice and professional. Found my problem within 10 minutes and fixed it to my satisfaction.

I signed up for Choice Home warranty services this week and everything was GREAT. The operator took his time and made sure I understood everything about the warranty. Just great.

Customer service is the best. They answer their phones in English and response is exception. Now for the rest of the story. They deny almost everything. I have had a couple of requests and had to fight them, which is ridicules , to get them to cover things that they said they would cover in my booklet. I probably will not renew with them..... If I wanted to spend the time, I could find my own people.

Clicked on a link in an email received. Wanted to see what pricing was. No sooner had clicked link and phone rang with an associate on the other end of line from Choice Home Warranty. Fast talking; pressured into signing up right then and there ; even when told that wanted to talk more with husband about it. Resent this type of sales tactics; bullishness.

The thing that is most helpful is when I request ,letting me choice my own repair person. I can get the repair person quicker than Choice. Usually. Going this way I have to pay upfront. But i get faster service. My repair person has to call choice tech with the price of repair. But I have no problem getting reimbursed. Marsha

Choice Home Warranty lives up to their contract promises. The contractors provided to do the work or repairs are excellent. Harper’s Heating and Air Services LLC is someone I would recommend. You can depend on CHW.

My AC wasn’t working probably l called Choice Home Warranty they sent a technician from Bennett and Sons AC the next morning he was so good and fixed the problem right away.

Choice Home Warranty contacted someone to service us, and we received confirmation of an appointment that day! Our washer was fixed quickly and efficiently! We are extremely pleased with them!

Totally satisfied with the gentleman who serviced our heater. Very professional and knew his business. However totally dissatisfied with the speed of response especially in cold weather with no heater. Made the call on Tuesday and was not serviced until Friday with no heat.

This was my second go-round with the Choice Home Warranty program. The first one I was more than satisfied with a quick fast and efficient fix to my air conditioner during the summer. However I'm very unhappy with my experience with my microwave oven. The first guy that was sent out looked at it said there are no parts and took off with the $45. Choice then sent a second person out who took the microwave totally apart and said that grease had gotten up in the inside of the fan and had burnt out a component. He was very thorough and took it apart piece by piece . This microwave was only two years old and I was never informed that I needed to take it apart. I wouldn't have the first inkling on how to do that. My claim was denied because I hadn't cleaned the grease out of the fan. So at this point I am very unhappy with this service. The amount of money I have paid over the last two years I could have bought several microwaves. So they have denied my claim. I have talked family members in three different states into taking out this policy. I am now telling them to reconsider and go with someone else.

ITS better to just buy a new appliance with my credit card than to pay you 50 plus dollars a month. i still can not believe you offered me 299 for a oven . i will keep my money that I send you and put it aside for a new appliance when the time comes, i am glad that I have not been paying you for 9 years only to be offered 299. i am not happy . i just discovered that its not worth it. why did I PAY somebody 60 dollars. what did he do, what did he check,

I have an old furnace that is dying, they denied all claims stating that they do not cover defective equipment, the furnace is 20+ years old, they said it had a cracked heat exchanger which would be defective, I could take it to arbitration but had to get proof from a qualified person at my own expense and could take up to 30 days. This is Dec in KY way to cold to wait that long and my wife is handicapped which they knew as well. When I asked Jonathan R about a buy out, that was denied by him as well. Steer clear of these people, if they do not get you for defective parts they will get you on maintenance. Go to Facebook and look up the blog on this company. I have since then cancelled my contract and will be going with a far more reputable company. I will also be making a complaint on the BBB sight as well.

All the technician they send work perfect. Only problem is when some product is total failure hard to work out with case worker. My refrigerator has problems,technician try to fix but not able to. The case worker try to handle the problems but every time she brings something different.Been couple weeks but the problems is not solved

This time I really had bad experience compared to normal. Technician was scheduled 4 days after the claim filing, which was very inconvenient to be left with broken oven during Thanksgiving. Then it took 3 days to inform me of the technician's recommendation to replace the oven. Then comes the worst part of offering me $500 cash (after negotiation) for an oven that costs above $1700 to replace. You claimed that what you are offering is based on the national average cost for you, yet you refused to provide the replacement unit instead of cash. This really violates your promise of replacing the item if it is more cost effective than repairing it. I have been with you for almost 3 years and have 13 policies. I have been mostly satisfied with your service, however, I am very disappointed this time and would probably rethink about renewal of the 13 policies.

I've had several home issues since I became a CHW client in 2016 and they responded in a timely fashion every time ! I never once got the negative response I received from AHS each and every time I called.

I recently filed a claim for service which was handled promptly by CHW. Although the provider could not service me until the end of the week, the provider walked me through a fix for my garage door opener. I subsequently cancelled the service call.

I had 2 issues 1 was my air conditioning system and the other was my electrical. Choice warranty got ahold of electric company and a hvac service. And a day later they was both out there they fixed the problem I had ....and they were both very professional. I would recommend them to everyone.

Signing up was easy. I haven't used the service yet, but it was very easy to begin. I don't like having the thirty day waiting period. I don't have any actual experience with them yet. Don't know what else to say.

We called around 5 p.m. Tuesday afternoon with a problem with our washing machine. They had a tech scheduled to come out on Wednesday. The machine was not repairable so they offered a buy out. We are very satisfied.

signing up is very easy and the price is reasonable. However, I haven't hade to make a service call, so I cannot speak to the efficiency of the company. I will probably do another review later.

Chocie Home Warranty came through again! My dryer broke down on a weekend evening, and they were able to dispatch a technician quickly to fix the issue. I am very pleased with their service.

When I called Sarah was very understanding. Set up first available appointment. Rich HVAC serviceman from Ulta heating was excellent. Prompt, Sociable,Courteous, fix problem quickly.

I called one day, the next day someone was contacting me. Really fast service, I will recommend CHW to anyone. Antonio the tech was GREAT. He had the wrong part, came right back with the correct part, you deserve 10 STARS

the gentlemen you send out are really helpful and respectful, but what I do not understand is why you wouldn't cover the cost of the lights ( ballasts) - I am paying a monthly amount so I can get stuff done -

Cortney J listened to my needs, made an effort to help me as a person and please me as a customer. Explained what he was able to do and did it...not painless (haha) but well done. The five stars are based on this.

I have been pleased with the efficient way claims have been handled. The only problem I have had is understanding the service people who haven’t quite mastered the English language.

Choice Home Warrarfy ,provided great service to their best knowledge the repairman was polite,explained the problem,fixed it,rechecked his work, very reliable, ,i will refer Choige Home Warranty to my family n friends, great company.

I only got the warranty yesterday I haven't used it yet and I can't use it for a month so I really can't say much about the service yet. I had a good experence so far as signing up.

I am so pleased with the speedy response to my claim. On both ocassions, the repairmen were timely, professional and thorough. I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty! Linda Thomas

So far, the service has been good. I'm always skeptical of warranty programs, but Choice Home Warranty has been very fair with the two claims I've had to make on my new home purchase.

CHW has been effective in taking the claims when I have had one. That part is ok. The problem I have faced is that they are not living up to the verbiage in their policy language, my agreement with them. They DO NOT replace what you have if it is not repairable. They give you a very LOW replacement offer. I had to dispute the settlement of a dryer and still ended up getting a lesser model than what I had and putting money out of my pocket. I had another claim for my sprinkler box and it ended up I am not covered. Because they sold me the wrong coverage. The agents are not knowledgeable in what they sell you. I have paid for an additional coverage that I did not need for 4 years!!!! As a result another out of pocket expense.. They do acknowledge the claims but it is NOT ALWAYS the settlement that is promised in their contractual agreement.

I've been with Choice Home Warranty for a few years now. I find the service to be professional and expedient; howere, where my dryer is concerned. CHW believed it would be better to replace it because the cost to repair would be more. I'm having trouble finding a dryer for $299.00. Any suggestions?

I didn't enter a claim for the first year. The first time I did try and make a claim, I went online, and the process was easy. This is the only reason I gave them two stars rather than one. It was all downhill from there. My issue revolved around the A/C overflow valve, which was blocked. They denied the claim on the basis of not covering leaks. A blocked overflow valve, which is probably the most common of all maintenance issues on A/C systems, is not a leak. I tried calling and emailing, but their communication was terrible. No response to my appeal. Be very careful to read all the exclusions- I supposedly had full coverage- I say this knowing full well, as does Choice, that virtually no-one actually finds the exclusions in advance. As it turned out, I had to pay well over $300 to get my system cleared. I confess that I'm very unhappy with Choice! Try someone else. As it turned out, I shared my reviews with choice warranty, and they were very sorry for not having addressed this differently. And they ended up compensating me for the out-of-pocket cost to get the repairs done. I mention this In an effort to be fair.

A few times service was need certain things that where not covered in the plan and Choice Home Supervisor made some exceptions and covered 1/2 of the cost which I thought was fair.
