I have had Choice HW for over 10 years and I cannot find anything to complain about. Over my 10+ years I have had my Microwave replaced, my Dishwasher replaced, had to have drain lines unplugged, and all done by reputable technicians selected by Choice. Anytime I have called with a problem or just questions about my warranty I’m treated like a friend and not a customer. I just renewed my warranty for another 5 years and it’s because I have truly come to trust Choice.

For the most part it was a great experience. My only complaint was the amount of time it took to find a reputable technician to do the job. In fairness that could be just where we live. Really could not have been better! Have told my friends and family about Choice Home Warranty and how it is great to have the home warranty. Some of my friends have had home warranties and when they had a break down they would not pay. So that is why I have been telling them about Choice Home Warranty and that you stand behind your contract with the customer!

Great Technician resolved the problem right away for the leaking kitchen faucet. The plumbing service needs to hire more plumbers since there was more than 48 hours lead time. For the two wet spots around the shower, the technician checked them and instructed to wait and see if the spots expanding or not since his touched the spot and did not feel wet.

CHW has been very helpful and very prompt in providing services that I needed in my home - thesse were serious plumbing problems, and CHW dispatched a plumber from Concept Renaissance Services, LLC. The plumber (Miguel A - was excellent and did a terrific job repairing all of the problems. In the future, I intend to rely on CRS and Miguel for any futhre plumbing needs.

I really like the service. I had a service before and they were such a disappointment. When we switched to Choice and used them I was really happy with the whole process. It's easy to file a claim and the vendors they use have been out standing. When my daughter bought her house I recommend Choice to her and she has it now. They've just been helpful every time that I've called they've gotten a person out as soon as they could. And then if they couldn't fix it right away, they were able to get it replaced. There's only one bad thing, though. My microwave stopped heating, and they couldn't fix it. So they replaced it, but they only replaced it for the amount of how much the wholesale cost was. And then I had to pay to get it installed. That was very frustrating.

I put in a claim online. Then it was just a matter of hours before I saw the email that would show us when there would be technicians that would be out. And then he would be coming out of time and everything. And he showed up on time, the guy that came was very knowledgeable, he's very polite and help me a lot with the garbage disposal. So he taught me a lot about that, and they had to replace the garbage proposal. He was in and out and just a matter of no time and that was it. I mean, I pay your little part that you have to pay. It was a very easy process.

I used it when the heating was not working properly, and I was able to call on a Friday. However, service was not going to be available until Tuesday under normal circumstances. I was able to contact the repair person and move it to that Friday, but I had to pay an extra hundred dollars. The service guy was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, and we were up and running within 2 to 3 hours from his arrival.

An appliance needed a repair, and they had to replace it. Instead of replacing it, they gave me a credit at Lowe's store for $338, which was very disappointing because the refrigerator cost much more than that. And they forced me to shop at Lowe's which I usually don't do. I usually shop at Home Depot. I tried to change it to just a debit card and they refused. But what disturbed me more than anything is that when you click on the computer and you say you want a refund, it doesn't tell you that you're going to get a refund from Lowe's. It just tells you to click in and you'll get your refund, which I thought was false advertising, advertisement.

The water heater just stopped functioning and I called them, and then, within 24 hours, they dispatched the technician. They approved it within another 48 hours, and I'm just waiting for the technician to come and replace it. I've been with them for so many years and we have no problem. Always when we call they take care of those claim submissions, and they do their best and they send the technician to take care of the problems we have. And we really appreciate their courtesy and their service.

Just not too long ago, I had to use it for an electrical outlet. It had burned out so they came out and repaired it, and did an excellent job. In and out in a short amount of time. Whenever I've had to have something repaired, if they couldn't repair it, they did replace it. A couple of years ago, my ceiling fan went out and they couldn't fix it, so they replaced it with a new one. And it's working fine today.

I wasn't able to get a person I had when I called on Saturday, I had to talk to an automated system. And when I tried to tell them how cold it was here, and I needed the heat fixed there was no person that could understand that. So they didn't schedule the person to come out until Tuesday. And it was really cold and I had no heat. So I called the company they suggested and that company was able to change it to Monday, but because Choice didn't say it was an emergency, they couldn't come out Saturday or Sunday, but luckily I had electricity, so I was able to use a space heater. The company they recommended was very good and he came out when he said he was going to.

I recently needed to use my warranty because my washing machine broke. They had someone come out and the person said they couldn't fix it. So they were given the funding for a new one. And it's not sufficient to buy a new one. They say it's based on the model and year and all this other kind of stuff. But ironically enough, I had another washing machine at another house that's insured and it had a newer washing machine that had all the bells and whistles. But apparently, the size was smaller. And they gave me the same exact amount, which again, isn't enough to buy a new washing machine and dryer from the store. And then I'm waiting 30 to 60 days to get the funding.

It was with my heating and cooling units, and they came out at least 3 times and got it fixed. One of the last times when they brought back a part, they had to bring and they didn't ask. I asked if I needed to pay him that copay that time and they said no, because it was part of the second time. So I was very pleased. They fixed it anyway, it works much better.

There were 2 times I called people, so they were very appreciative and kind and then explained the problem I had and fixed it. I used my warranty for my microwave oven because it was not working, and they replaced it. The second time, my garage door opener was not opening the door. So they came in because of the cold and other things. They tweaked it, and it started working.

We had a lot of issues with our water heater in our apartment, and it took a while for a service person to get out there. I guess there's not many in our area. And so for a while, we went without heat and we went without hot water for like a week or 2, completely unacceptable. And we had 2 or 3 different plumbers tell us we needed our water heater replaced but Choice Home Warranty kept saying no. When finally they did say yes to one of the service people, they charged this extra $420 to replace our water heater on top of the $65 of the service call which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. There was another home warranty I had in the past where when we had to replace our water heater, it only cost the service call and not the rest of that money.

Anytime I've had any problems or anything with the service company not coming out Choice Home Warranty always made sure that everything was corrected. I've had 3 or 4 times I had to use it without any problems. Someone would always come out and fix whatever it is with no problems. The only problem that I have ever had was really my fault because I didn't know that I had a lifetime warranty on my faucet. And so, they made sure that I had the right numbers and all that stuff to call Molar to get the product for them to come out and install.

I've had several things that I needed help with, and they were fine. I had no problem with getting help. The most recent time was when I had a nest on my furnace control in my air conditioner. I couldn't get it to work. I called and it was only 2 days and the gentleman came in and fixed it probably in half an hour. So I was very pleased. The time before that, they replaced a microwave, and that was fine. I have no complaints.

We purchased Choice Home Warranty package since 2020. Our hone is about 10 years old and last year we had to replace all our appliances. Started with TV, Washer&Dryer, two of the refrigerator.,. I like choice home warrantee, but the company they sent out to fix my refrigerator was not as good. Don’t get me wrong Roman was great but it’s impossible to get a hold of them if you have a problem. They have NO phone number! And we had a problem with the delivery of the part they ordered. It came the same day they were to do the repair. Roman came the next day and replaced the part, but now the lights on the buttons don’t work right. He said I’ve have to call in another work order which means I have to pay another deductible. That’s the only thing I’m not happy about!

They have good local repair people who are prompt, know what they are doing, and get the problem fixed as fast as could ever be expected. This call was serviced by Alexander Heating and Air and had our heat back running in no time at all. I like the fact that they use small locally owned companies for the work. It is well worth it because you don't have to worry about how you are coming up with $800.-1000. I do believe that it's a little high for us Seniors on SS. We still have to come up with the $75.00 service fee when the service man shows up. I do like the service people they are very friendly and professional. It a comfort knowing they have our backs. Their monthly payment is a little high for people on Social security.

I think it's very useful. And as soon as we tell them about the problem, they start looking for folks that can fix whatever the problem is, like the stove that got fixed within 3 days or so for the tenant. Also, I had a dishwasher problem. And so the guy came maybe 3 working days later, which was yesterday, and he was wonderful. He said he's going to order a part and put it in. So I'm waiting for when that will happen.

I have only had to use my warranty one time and there was a miscommunication between the service tech and Choice. But as soon as I was able to reach someone in authority, they cleared it right up and it was manageable and easy. I didn't have to go through a bunch to pay for it or anything like that. And I like having the extended renewal option. It really helped out in just paying it upfront without having to pay an annual fee.

The surprise and unannounced follow-up visit by Cornerston Construction tech was at 8:00 am on Friday, January 5. Ordinarily, we would have expected an email or call by your contractor or its technician. The tech installed the new bathroom faucet that I had purchased for about $300. The tech did not install the pop out drain that came with the faucet on our pedestal sink claiming that it takes too much time to install. Having been without an operable sink, I agreed. The tech did not have the correrct 1/2"compression to 1/2" threaded faucet supply line. As such, he asked me to order and install it myself befor we can have an operable faucet in our bathroom. The item is not carried by Home Depot or Lowes. As such, I have ordered online two supply lines that are due in four days. Needless to say, our first experience with Choice was snot too pleasant. When can I expect receiving the refund of $70 for the faucet and supply line that have cost me about $350. No one can buy a batroom faucet for $70. We live in a house that has faucets each over $550.00. Overall, we were pleased with the technical knowledge of the technician Ronaldo who was sent by Cornerstone Construction.

I signed up with CHW earlier in 2023 (I think around summer). I filed my first claim in December of 2023. My ejector pump went out and the upstairs tub was filling up with water. I filed the claim on 12/22 and on 12/26 both issues were fixed with only paying the service fee charge of $75! They have my respect as I had a HORRIBLE experience with Home Warranty of America. I highly recommend them.

It was a great turn out. My dryer wasn't spinning. So I did a claim online. They have a check the status. I clicked it and it was just saying I put work order in. I really didn't know how long it would take for them to actually come and fix the dryer. The came the same day actually four hours after putting order in. You have been great, it was a problem with my pool at first and the guy you sent out was horrible. He never showed up but called and basically said that ge wouldn’t get paid by choice according to reviews he read. Really unprofessional. You sent another person out he diagnosed it. You authorized right away and pool is back up and running. My washer would not spin, sears came out same day I put in the claim. He ordered parts and it was fixed in a few days.

Needed to call twice in a year and I was taken care of but not as quickly as I would have liked. One time for electrical issue that they arrived the next day. When the heater went out it was 2 days before anyone dispatched to fix the heater so it was a bit cold waiting for the repair person. I am going to renew in May this year but will shop around for lower rate since my renewal has increased over $150 for this year best I am able to tell.

After my request is accepted, I would like feedback as to the status of the request. You say 24-48 hours but I am wondering what is the progress of the request. I had no heat and was freezing (52degrees). Perhaps a message that you were looking for a repair man. I thought you might have forgotten me. A Great Company to have in your corner. Only problem is some of the service people they get to repair problems. The last problem I reported was a seal coming off my refrigerator door. The guy came in to fix it, should have replaced it. The very next day the seal is out and coming off again. The seal is worn and should have been replaced. The repairman spent a whole three minutes pushing it back into the slot. Cheap repair… Very Disappointed

I have had this insurance for out 2 years now. The few claims I've had to make within these 2 years went well. Only issue I have come across, the area I live in, more rural, finding vendors to come make the repairs at times can be difficult. However, if your patient and don't need something done right away, they will find someone to come do the repair. 2 of the 3 repair vendors were amazing! I have told family and friends about this insurance and how it makes owning a home a little less stressful. There will always be good and bad reviews about companies and the way I see it, if you don't like them you can always go find a different insurance company.

We were not really thrilled with the service we got on our microwave, but with the dishwasher and the most recent repair, both of those had to be replaced. The most recent one was with the washing machine and it was replacing a part, and that was done very quickly and efficiently. It took about a week from the time the phone call was placed requesting service until the part was acquired and installed.

They were good technicians that came to the house. They came in, they had the parts, they put the parts in, and the dishwasher now works. It was quick and easy. I thought that when I bought it that if my air conditioner went out on me, they would give me a new air conditioner. But they only give you a percentage. Like if your air conditioner is 7 or 8 years old, they're going to only give you what the air conditioner is worth at that time. And I thought I was going to get a new air conditioner without having to pay anything. So that was my mistake.

Overall, it was a good experience, but there was a lot unknown prices and fees. They did cover the actual water heater. But there was a lot of extra fees for the repair of the water heater and replacement. It was kind of hard finding the customer service number, but once I was able to find information, I actually wanted to speak to someone. It was kind of hard for me to navigate through the website to find the actual 800 number.

The service fee is nice when it was just maybe 60 bucks. It's a little steep now. They dispatched a repair personnel and they didn't have me waiting and pretty much kept their word as far as when they were coming and and got back to us. It was a reasonable amount of time. One of my air conditioning units went out and I called Choice. I was kind of reluctant based on past experiences with other companies, but I called Choice and immediately they responded to my message, probably within an hour and then a day later a technician called me to set up the appointment. We've had to use it a number of times. My heating system went out and they had to replace it, which they did pay for. We had some refrigerator issues, but I think it was still under warranty, so I didn't call Choice about that, but my dryer has been the most recent. They are slow sometimes to get the repairs done. I like that you can pay an agreed amount per visit for getting surprised brake downs fixed in your home the bad part is you make a claim then got to get approved then wait for a random company to schedule an appointment that I my case took 8 or 9 days to come do the work the job was done right it's just that they dont get to come the day of or may be the week of you never know when they will get to you i guess depending on weather and availableity.

Choice Home Warranty has been great so far on these fronts: 1. Changing out my door locks with the best service ever from Kings Castle Locks and More. The owner came and provided excellent education and thorough service in ensuring my new locks were as secure as possible. She examined everything carefully and provided safety information for my home. She has a realtor background that helped her a lot. 2. Replacing my furnace valve and T pipe after I smelled a leak and found holes on both ends of T pipe. They diagnosed and fixed it all in one day - I hardly had to wait to get to that day, and Sierra Mechanical was wonderful. And Choice Home Warranty covered everything. 3. When I first moved in, my catalytic converter on my A/C went out and there was a major heat wave. I called Choice Home Warranty and they did not have an HVAC who could help right away. It took 3 weeks to get it replaced and then it was hard for the tech to get it approved, and I had to call on the person who sold me the warranty to advocate for me because Choice Home was not ready to replace it. As a new owner of the home, I had no access to the warranty information, which they said was the problem - that it was still under warranty. But with the help of my advocates (Bernie B, the HVAC person they assigned me), I was able to get it approved. So far so good in getting important things covered.

Ordinarily I am more than pleased with this warranty plan. However, the last service I scheduled due to a malfunction with my dishwasher where I paid the designated $75 truck fee left me stranded. The technician dispatched, Mike C aka Michael N quickly decided he could not fix my dishwasher. There is a glitch and the last technician was able to fix it easily, and it appears to be the same issue. This go around, he said the dishwasher was old and he could not get the part. He left me with standing water in the machine and never even looked at the electrical box, he merely tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. He stated he cannot turn it on and therefore cannot fix it. He assured me Choice would replace my dishwasher and to not accept their first lowball offer. I was offered $246 to replace my machine which will only help, not actually replace it. I spoke with my case manager who was very rude and firm that she could not budge and give me a nickel more. She said she was the only person I can speak to. Part of the appeal of this warranty is that it has replacement coverage. It does not say "replacement value" it says "replace." My dishwasher is not being replaced by the warranty company, I am having to replace it and wait weeks or up to a month for a Lowes gift card. I was made to believe the Lowes gift card would be instant then when I went to ask again it also takes 15 days or up to 30 days. Thankfully a dishwasher is not life or death in my home. I am disappointed, not only by the technician who left me with standing water when he couldn't even assist with a shop vac, he left within 10 minutes and then the case or clam manager who had an attitude and could not make a fair resolution of this claim.

The jobs that they have completed for me have been done well. When I put in a claim, they respond very quickly, but not in the sense of what's convenient. They'll just say you have a technician coming tomorrow at 4:00 and it's usually right away within 24 hours. But that's not how my day works usually. I have things to do and other plans. So I've only had to file a couple of claims but almost all of them I've had to reach out to the technician and change the days, things like that. I think they could do better by saying here are the three dates and you could have a choice - like tomorrow, the next day, or the next week, something like that.

Once I figured out how to get a hold of you guys, I got most of the claims done without any incident. You guys use an offshore call center, and I'm not a big fan of that. Overall, the people you talk to are very knowledgeable, not so much the offshore people, but the people that you talk to in the United States, they're very astute. They know what they're doing and they're good listeners.
