Choice. Home Warranty is the worst home warranty company out there. They said I had to pay $780 is to order the part that they would reimburse me. And I never received the reimbursement ,they don't want to pay nothing. After i'm checking, they say they cover refrigerators. But they don't cover ice makers. I switched from American Home Shield after 6 yrs. with them because of the supposed 5 star reviews of Choice. I want to know if I can get a refund for my purchase of your warranty at Choice. I have experienced long delays and then repairs denied because they aren't covered. "Read the warranty" is all I get. This is a ripoff and I want my premium purchase money back.

No urgency with maintenance requests. I had a refrigerator replaced and found out they only give you wholesale value replacement cost which is not equivalent to retail. I was required to purchase at the store, pay tax and was responsible for delivery and set up. I was also responsible for disposal of the old unit.

My oven was repaired in a relatively short time, but I’m still waiting for the check for my washer. I filed the washer claim a month before the oven and was told that I had to wait 30 days before the check would be mail. That’s ridiculous!!

When I purchased my warranty it seemed easy to file a claim. Years later when I did file a claim and they couldn't get anyone to make the repairs they suggested I use the reimbursement option. I did and made 1 mistake following their website instructions and my claim was denied. I was out of pocket over $15000. During a phone call I explained that I didn't expect them to pay everything. I was asking for $4000 and was told no. I didn't do it correctly. I cancelled the policy that day. I would not recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone.

I am so NOT HAPPY WITH CHOICE !!! I had AHW for33 years and don’t think we had to call once….. I was divorced and saw where Choice paid to replace of it could not be fixed . I called and they came out…. Said they couldn’t fix it… I got a notice saying $600 for a $1700 washer… I am 74 and on a fixed income . To say I was DISAPPOINTED is to put it mildly… it’s been so long I don’t remember when !!!

Trey D. one of your contractors, took my service fee, disassembled your kitchen faucet, and never returned to complete the repair. he said you all approved him to do the plumbing and electrical work. I gave hime $200 via cash app and said he will return the next day and didn't. That's frustrating and would make anyone question the value of Choice Home Warranty.

My current claim is for a 24 year old gas water heater which has a normal life span of 15 years. The Plumber recommended replacing it due to the age and condition of the internal parts. Rather than replacing it, Choice Warranty has only approved a single part with labor.

Easy to file service claims. However, for my last claim for A/c service when the outside unit fan stopped due to maybe capacitor, the technician could not come until after 4 days. I had to move to a hotel, and get another tech to fix it.

The app is easy to use and schedule visits. This time around, the wait time for technician was reasonable (it was a week form when i raised the concern). Thankfully the technician was able to repair our dishwasher, and it was covered by the warranty, but on a previous occasion when we needed to replace our washing machine, it took Choice almost 45 days to send us a voucher to redeem at Lowes, and so we were without a washing machine for almost 2 months.

This is about the 4th solicited review by Choice Home Warranty. This company should be avoided. They are very slow to line up needed technician's ( took 48 hours on the last claim), their contractors DON’t like working for Choice Home Warranty as they are not properly paid and routinely bad mouth CHW. The coverage is not good. A routine hot water heater replacement cost me $1150. Even with exclusions listed on their contract it should not have cost me so much. A complaint has been filed with the state department of insurance after a unsuccessful call to the CHW case manager. I would definitely avoid them and instead put money aside in an account for home repair issues.

They sent out service repair people that were not qualified to do the work. I have had to call someone else in to my home to correct the mistakes that were made and of course, had to pay them on top of the fee I had already paid to Choice. They advertise that they will take care of repairs in a short period of time and they indicate the repair will be totally covered. I had to replace my refrigerator that cost $2500.00. It took forever to get approval to buy another one. With all the hassle involved, I received a check for $300.00. There are other times I went through this same process and ended up with a very small check. I would not recommend this company. Their advertising is false.
