I not very help with AHS I can not give a rating. It take them two weeks to fixes my hot water heater and they are still waiting on a part for my air conditioner. I speak to a supervisor that stated she wouldn’t make this an emergency on my air conditioner part but that was not the truth. I have a special need daughter, it’s 90 degrees in my house.

It took 2 1/2 weeks in triple digit weather without an a/c for AHS and their contractor to get it together and repair our a/c unit. We called both at least 3-4 times a day and they kept point the finger at each other as the reason for the hold up. Our AHS contract was up for renewal a few weeks after our repair, and we subsequently cancelled our contract.

Just recently, something was wrong with our HVAC. AHS appointed a contractor to come and assess the problem. After the contractor submitted his report to AHS recommending what needed to be done, AHS said that it wasn’t covered under the contract that we have. We have the CompleteShield contract, which we have upgraded to and paying more for. After paying them monthly payments for 7 years and this being only the 2nd service request, and the contract not covering the much needed work, I think its time to look for another home warranty company.

I had service performed on my home ac unit and was double charged. After contacting AHS, and thinking the issue was resolved, I received an overdue bill notice. I've had to contact the company twice to remove a double charge for one service fee. And now I'm hoping this associate spoke with actually documented the call, so I'm not charged again.

We submitted a work order for pump repair and after multiple phone calls to the assigned contractor and to American Home Shield we never heard from the pool contractor. Eventually, after 2-3 weeks American Home Shield reassigned the work order to Peed Pool Services, which repaired the pool pump promptly. We were deeply disappointed that we were assigned an initial contractor who was completely unresponsive.

I had a water heater go out and I needed a new one and you told me I had to pay 1,040$ what in the world and why! Not okay for a paying customer who has paid for a home warranty for many years and when that appliance is on the list of coverage items!!!!!!

When you have to replace an appliance or heating unit they give you a minimum payout. I had to have a Viking refrigerator replaced and it cost $10,000 to replace and they gave me $3,000 towards purchase. Same happened with a heating unit.

Initially my service request was approved which was wonderful. Then all of a sudden it wasn't saying it was a preexisting condition because of how quickly I filed a claim. If that is the case, then this service is very mis leading and dishonest because it says you can file right away. I'm older and having someone help get service to my home was the intention should I need service, but feel as if I signed a contract to give money for nothing.

okay, I wanted to wait until something good went well with this service, but you keep sending me notices to review. I was very disappointed in the service, still have a broken dryer that sounds like there are a pair of cowboy boots in it! AHS would not fix it, because it was making noise??? I live in a condo complex with neighbors & they are banging on the wall when I use it, so am trying to come up with money for a new one! We are seniors and this hit hard, so I do NOT recommend this company to anyone for any reason, and soon I will be cancelling my service.

They used to be great and the vendors they worked with were also trustworthy and reliable. They also used to promise a 48 hrs turnaround now it's more of 72 hrs turnaround and all their vendors are terrible they are rude or they are not skilled enough to get the job done in one visit. They have to leave and get parts and just give excuses. Our AC was out almost a week and my fridge was out almost 2 weeks. Don't sign up with them. Not worth the hustle. And their support team is non-existent.

I seriously dislike American Home Shield as I have been paying $55.00 a month for over five years and I finally drastically need their services when my 22 year old AC dies in Austin,Tx. AHS lack of response, inability to talk to a person of power and decisions. AHS keeps wanting me to pay for parts and labor into a 22year old AC unit while I drastically need and deserve a new AC. Not worth the money or headaches or time is American Home Shield. Save your money. Save the headaches and hope.
