The worst company ever I had contact just come and tell me how to fix the issue and still charge me $100 for a service fee I asked them to cancel my account They told me I got a call back I never did I've only found one good contractor through this company while there must be premiums are $100 a month as soon as this last request call is finished my contract is done

So far terrible. Filed a warranty on an appliance, installers were unable to install, took my appliance instead of leaving it. Installed retrofit myself rescheduled delivery, installer came today and there's no appliance for him to install because the installers took it the first time. Would really like my stove delivered and installed by competent people.

American Home Shield and Home Security of America are the same company under different names. We reviewed several plans and even called support about warranty coverage in our area. While they said they had coverage for our residential area in reality they don't! This is evidenced by no contractor coming out to fix the problem for weeks now! I don't think this plan is worth the money!

The services AHS provide are not professional, and the providers they use are not experienced professionals who do not fix your problem. I would not recommend AHS to anyone and will move to another warranty service provider immediately. AHS is collecting your money, but when it comes time for them to provide warranty service, they find the cheapest and less skilled companies, which cause the customer more problems than they ever had before.

They are only interested in taking your money instead of listening to the problem and providing solutions. They failed to advocate and listen to the customer instead only wanted another service fee for a job that was not fulfilled and called to their attention immediately. After four years and only three service calls, I’ cancelled my contract.

This company is a joke! I purchased this warranty as part of my closing package before purchasing my home. Recently ran into some AC issues and AHS didn't cover a thing! In fact, they were recommending me to pay more than the actual cost of a new AC unit. Don't even waste your time. Select a different company if purchasing a new home and you have a plethora of options as I did.

I not very help with AHS I can not give a rating. It take them two weeks to fixes my hot water heater and they are still waiting on a part for my air conditioner. I speak to a supervisor that stated she wouldn’t make this an emergency on my air conditioner part but that was not the truth. I have a special need daughter, it’s 90 degrees in my house.

It took 2 1/2 weeks in triple digit weather without an a/c for AHS and their contractor to get it together and repair our a/c unit. We called both at least 3-4 times a day and they kept point the finger at each other as the reason for the hold up. Our AHS contract was up for renewal a few weeks after our repair, and we subsequently cancelled our contract.

Just recently, something was wrong with our HVAC. AHS appointed a contractor to come and assess the problem. After the contractor submitted his report to AHS recommending what needed to be done, AHS said that it wasn’t covered under the contract that we have. We have the CompleteShield contract, which we have upgraded to and paying more for. After paying them monthly payments for 7 years and this being only the 2nd service request, and the contract not covering the much needed work, I think its time to look for another home warranty company.

I had service performed on my home ac unit and was double charged. After contacting AHS, and thinking the issue was resolved, I received an overdue bill notice. I've had to contact the company twice to remove a double charge for one service fee. And now I'm hoping this associate spoke with actually documented the call, so I'm not charged again.

We submitted a work order for pump repair and after multiple phone calls to the assigned contractor and to American Home Shield we never heard from the pool contractor. Eventually, after 2-3 weeks American Home Shield reassigned the work order to Peed Pool Services, which repaired the pool pump promptly. We were deeply disappointed that we were assigned an initial contractor who was completely unresponsive.

When you have to replace an appliance or heating unit they give you a minimum payout. I had to have a Viking refrigerator replaced and it cost $10,000 to replace and they gave me $3,000 towards purchase. Same happened with a heating unit.
