I have had much success with them up until this point. My dryer has been broken since August. The service provider came out and did not fix the issue then requested 8 hour service windows to come back out. Myself and my husband both work. I call AHS, I can barely understand them, they lie and say they are escalating my issue and I hear nothing. I'm still waiting to this day. In premiums I've paid enough to purchase a new dryer.

In two separate experiences American Home Shield has collected my $100 fee for a service charge and left me to deal with the local service provider, who has been non responsive and hard to contact. American Home Shield offers no help when the service provider is not responsive; the only method to contact AHS is by calling and waiting 15-30 minutes. They take no accountable for the service provider despite having already charged and collected the up front warrant cost and the service fee cost. In hindsight I would have not signed up for the ASH warranty and found my own service providers.

Last week y'all sent out infinity plumbing to fix a clogged drain in kitchen. When infinity came out the guy they sent out didn't look like a plumber. He was wearing basketball shorts and didn't seem interested in fixing clogged drain. He used a very small hand held auger, went to outside drain maybe 10 minutes later came back in and said clog couldn't be fixed. It needed to be hydro jetted and I may even have broken drain. Guess he thought he had X-ray vision cause he didn't put

It was very good back in 2003-2019. Then they became stingy, difficult to reach, harder to get things fixed that were previously covered and also considered fairly. I wouldn’t purchase home warranty from AGS again and I was a customer for 20 years.

I have put in two service requests for a leaking toilet at Lake Tahoe and the repairman never has shown up; the requests were early September and November. We have called and sent messages but no one has responded. AHS owes us $200 and I need it refunded so I can hire an outside plumber.

My summer experience with our air condition unit took more than 4 months to repair. We ended paying because it was a heat wave and dangerous to our after staying in hotels we couldn't afford no more for two months for our entire family. We paid for the unit and the contractor replaced it sent in the proof they refused to reimburse us our money and haven't return no calls till this day.

11/14/22 AHS and their contracted Prime Plumbing Co are terrible money hustlers. Warning, do not use either of the two. I had a leak in which one plumber out and screwed one thing, then 5 days later another Prime plumber came out for the same problem but said I needed a new service ticket for the same leak meaning I would have to pay another $100 dollars. So I didn't do it. Now my neighbor has water damage in her condo and the insurance and lawyers are handling this nightmare.

AHS uses scammers as contractors, and it takes forever to approve repairs. Customer service reps are hard to understand. What I was promised before buying the warranty has changed because a contractor walked through my house, refused to fix some items because "The warranty won't cover that."
