Needed total replacement of furnace and AC unit but it was not covered? What am I paying for? I still have to pay $75 just for someone to come out to my house despite paying $50 a month? I get no financial help here? The company they contracted to come out was fantastic though.

AHS uses scammers as contractors, and it takes forever to approve repairs. Customer service reps are hard to understand. What I was promised before buying the warranty has changed because a contractor walked through my house, refused to fix some items because "The warranty won't cover that."

My hot water heater exploded. The water mediation team removed the hot water heater. It was clear that the heater was defective and damaged an entire room. AHS refused to replace the water heater becuse the heater was removed before the plumber could diaignos. Horrible clause. There was clearly no diagnosis needed, seeing as to how the 50 gallons of water was leaked all over my home. I have called and treid numerouse toime to discuss and get a refund or partial. I sent a full package to the AHS office. NO ANSWER. Its been since August. NOTHING! Horrible service form AHS.

I have been going back and forth for months about repairs to my pool. They couldn't get me anyone so I got someone who they approved of. They now want to get a second opinion. There is no doubt the filter needs to replaced since it is falling off the hill. Still no resolution after 3 months. Regardless, I will have to pay for all the repairs and am beyond angry. Tons of calls and no resolution. They obviously don't want to pay for it.

I have now had a technician work on my refrigerator 4 times and still not fixed. Plus when they have identified parts to replace and fix it takes over two weeks to get the parts and nothing seems to be urgent. In this case it is a refrigerator and we lost some food due to how long it took to get parts and we still didn't get the fix completed. I would not recommend Home Shield to anyone.

I put in a service request on August 11th with my air conditioning unit. It is now November 18th and they still have not closed the case or fixed my air conditioner. I have to call in every week to get an update. No one takes ownership of the problem and I have requested five times that the escalation department call me back and they have not.

The company's customer service representatives are lacking. Most can hardly speak English and will tell you anything to get you off the phone. They don't follow up with contractors or myself and what should be straight forward issues take weeks and months to get resolved.

Technician do not finish the work order. Waited about 5 months to hear from that pArticular co. Another technician was scheduled to check my a/c unit. He only solved the problem temporarily. Called American H.S and requested to speak to a manager. Manager called me left me a voice mail. Still having issues with my a/c and have not heard from AHS. AHS did tell me that I should hear from the a/c technician and I have not. It is going to be a month already. Not happy with AHS

Iam once again having a lot of problems with American Home Shield. The vendor that they assigned to replace our furnace is NOT providing the necessary quote to American Home Shield in order to get their approval and is contacting us directly which we do NOT appreciate. We have written the following review on goggle. We urgently need our furnace replaced as AHS promises; if it can't be repaired they will replace it. I don't why the vendor is charging us SENIOR CITIZENS a lump of $1800.00 to replace the furnace. Isn't the vendor aware of the replacement program from American Home Shield?

Horrible experience took almost a year to have my AC fixed. They have contracts with the absolute worst companies and you'll never speak to the same person more then once. Always people from the Philippines and they don't even have a corporate office to call here in the states. I've complained all the way up the line and they feed you their rehearsed statements. Save yourself the headache trust me! Go with another company

The customer service folks have no idea what the product offers. I called because they offer a plan that gives discounts on new appliance purchases, but not one person I spoke to could help me with it. Also, I set up an appointment to have our home re-keyed. I sent pictures or the locks to the locksmith and said he could do it. We then upgraded some of the locks so the matched and submitted new pictures. The locksmith then cancelled the appointment saying he couldn't key them to be the same. Not sure why he just said he couldn't do it. Sounded like he just didn't want to do it.

I had a service call today for water pipe leaking on my home. I was told by the technician that it may not covered and he needs to get authorization from AHS first. In that case, I will terminate the two home warranty policies that I have with AHS. I have been with AHS for so many years, but when I need the service, and I will be treated like this. I don't want to be with AHS anymore.

Reps. Gave word of a refund for services I paid for out of pocket and never followed through. Dishonest over and over again. Service companies sent out are unfamiliar with appliances, tankless hot water heater costing more more derives visits and out of pocket costs as the right person was never sent.
